Our CC license requires us to have a page history for people to give attribution. When moving pages, it's best to not copy-paste them, but instead use the built-in move tool.

It is not as simple as moving a page as the current page was reverted and it is fine to keep it as is. When you are done with your edits, and if you really care (I don't think anyone does) then you can mention in your edit summary when moving to the mainspace, that you are copying it from your userspace. I think it is more likely that fifty asteroids all crush 50 celebrities on Earth at the same time before we have any such issues with our CC license over copying an old version of a page to someone's userspce. I actually really really like this.
I saw it being edited previously but never really stopped to read it until you posted on my talkpage. I wasn't sure where it was going at first, in a good way. It was very subtly written, so well done. It reminds me of Southern Gothic writing style like Flannery O Conner's work.
A few minor cleanup points:
-2nd paragraph: "old Lady McIntyre sat on her veranda watching watch the days" little typo there.
-The part about them having to write polite yet sternly worded letters to their Congressmen is begging for a link to Strongly worded letter
- 1st paragraph, "you need your cancer sleep". Technically grammatically correct and makes logical sense but the way it's worded is awkward. Maybe find a different way for the sheiff to say the same thing? (Shrug)

Sorry for annoying you but you're the only admin that's active at the moment and I need help with something. There are three users that have logged in at the same time- MaxieKortig; MaribelGlenn; AdalbertoReddy- which the three of them suspiciously share the same naming conventions. I'd like to see if my suspicion of them being a vandal's sockpuppets is true, but I'm still new at this and don't know how to do it. (I do have found out how to find the user's IP, but they all seem to be different and that's something that can be achieved by using a VPN, and I'd like to know if this is all I can do or if there is another way to find out if they're the same person). @MrX: Yeah, I've seen them say and act truly awful to people on there, just because they disagree with what the other person says. Heck, I've seen coop and/or ATIM cases because Person A disagreed with Person B, and is accusing them of trolling being a sock puppet. It also doesn't help that they have no checkuser, their moderators are incompetent, and literally every active user on there gets sysop permissions. It doesn't help that nearly everyone there acts like a redditard, and giving each of them sysop permissions because of the moderators incompetence is idiotic, if I had a nickel for everytime I saw a dispute about sysop abuse, or someone abusing sysop power because of a dispute, I would be a millionaire lol. I guess the best example of why ratwiki is a toxic dumpsterfire is the fact that they welcome people like Gale (who is now retired on there, but not banned, surprisingly), but drive away people who actually want to contribute. You should be bumped to extended confirm at some point (don't quite remember how that works). If there are any important changes you wanna make, put it on the talk page and Ill change. From long term experience (15 years on the site), it is impossible that any article will be featured if the threshold for votes is 5, the average for votes are 5 (exceptionally 7) and the article has two or more against votes, or if it has been up for three weeks and only has 1 or 2 votes. They will never, ever get enough votes to be featured. Closing these nominations avoids clutter and a long list of stagnating nominations. In the past, when I didn't close them, there were articles nominated 6 months ago (at some point we had nominations for up to a year) with two votes sitting there not moving. These days, a single against vote virtually kills a nomination. I won't close a vote on someone elses nomination only because they have one against vote but if it's my own nomination, I'm not leaving it there to sit and never gain enough votes with an against vote. I'd like to move on. If it is someone else's, I take into consideration how long its been on, the momentum of the votes and the realistic likelihood of it being featured. Having a long list of stagnating nominations is not good for anyone. We can't go back to the past where we had an endless list of stagnating noms with two votes or lots of against votes. If it isn't on a trajectory to be nominated, move on, and if there is a way to get feedback to improve it, ask people how it can be improved.
Personally, if I do not connect with an article, I don't vote for it. I only vote against if I think an article is so against what a featured article should be it would hurt the integrity of featured articles. We all have our own preferences, tastes and reasons to vote. I am not complaining about this, but at this point, I am not particularly motivated to keep writing articles if they are continuously failing and I don't get feedback.

Alright I finally took the deep dive. The article is solid. I certainly would have voted for, and I think you or I or whoever should renom it in a week or so. I made a bunch of minor capitalization and grammar edits. The only real change I made was to a sentence with this edit to make it more in line with the concept of the article. I'm not trying to give MAGA a pass for their lemming follow to death mentality (for real, Trump and the GOP are taxing and spending just as much if not more than their Blue Donkey counterparts, even the Babylon Bee called them out on it, and MAGA just acts like taxing and spending is now a good thing ffs smh). I'm just making it more in line with the "fact" that questioning and disagreeing is a bad thing, like it says in the lead. The only change I might recommend is maybe say that the origin, instead of being a bunch of Conservapedia editors who left and then devolved into their current mess, maybe say something like, "While Conservapedia was launched by Wikipedia editors who were frustrated that Wikipedia has too much of a liberal bias, RationalWiki was launched by Wikipedia editors who were frustrated that Wikipedia does not have enough of a liberal bias." But that's just a thought. The way it currently paints the origin is solid and funny. Plus making that change would require rewriting a section, which I'm happy to help with. Hey duderino. What is most notable is your contribution to the article. If you have thoroughly rewritten it just yourself, that should be 1 full point. The article has practically become yours. For example, with antipasta which I'm working on, I have so thoroughly rewritten it this will be a 1 point. If you have notably contributed to an article then you can grab 0.5 points. There are cases where someone has written a full article and gets 1 point, whereas a few people have made useful edits and get 0.5 points for it. A true collaboration would see everyone getting 0.5 points. So, it depends. Just don't take the piss with the points and I don't think anyone will make anything about it. RealDonaldTrump, resident President and one of our template experts, managed to break a very important template. After making an edit to Template:Big, something happened. Hundreds of pages only displaying numbers where there once was big text. After a message to Alula, it was fixed and now everything is fine again.[citation needed]
We've switched to a new numerical system for identifying issues. It should work better for me, and also cuts down on bytes when messaging, albeit only by a few.

@Shabidoo: Alright, look. I've at least put things in place on Google so a front page exists, so it can be edited if anyone wants to do it. It's not wrong to think - "okay, if everyone is actively working towards getting an article featured then that puts a massive overhead on people involved, because a code-heavy page like Google would involve a lot more intense work than usual". To me, this place is about random edits, not intense ones, and I just thought it should stay like that. The less strain on people, the better.
In my experience it quickly stops being fun when you have to do it.

Just because a VFH has a "majority vote" (or positive score, more accurately) doesn't mean we have to leave it open until it goes negative or hits enough to be featured. Just when we least expected it, Walbro has come back and created two new articles with ridiculously long titles mentioning Donald Trump and MrX. Turb0-Sunrise listed both for QVFD and told all on LPTEW, saying that he "FUCKIN' PREDICTED IT". Worst 100 Reflections on 2025 was updated accordingly.
Remember the first issue I wrote, when I said, "Looks like Taylor Swift got engaged to the whole team"? Well there may need to be a breakup song soon. Interception, boom, they're out of the playoffs. Suck it, walrus.
Recently, 6-7 on Uncyclopedia has been getting out of hand. It first started with 6-7 UnNews articles then the 6-7 article and finally the Forum to ban 6-7. The banning of 6-7 was decided by a vote with three 6-7 opposers arguing that there was way too much 6-7 and three people for 6-7. Thus 6-7 stayed.
On A story built one word at a time, relative newcomer and drug dealer Gammakid999 mentioned me, yes ME in their edit summaries, asking why I got blocked and where the UnSignpost was. This makes two times that I have been mentioned by name in ASBOWAAT. And yes, I did get blocked again. I requested it just like Gerg did when he took an uncyclobreak.

Hey duderino, I defo have feedback for this. First, I think it should be Harry potter summarised in 5 seconds (not minutes). Cause, it takes less than 5 seconds to read it. I'd suggest withdrawing the nom for now and working on itand then renominating it, cause it may not be featured in this state. I prefer to nom an article when it is truly ready. It is an absolutely FAB concept, hilarious punchline and love the formatting. But I think the article could benefit from one of, or both of the following:
An additional concept: For example, you could parody other kinds of summarising in short time (like the way they do other films) or parody it alongside some other concept, like maybe the narrator is a little crazy themselves, or you could give it some other theme, something way out of left park, like an ultra woke or conservative person. This is, of course, entirely optional, but it can help make your articles unique, by no means required. I think the second part is more important:
A tightening of the rest of the text. When I go over my articles before I nom them for featuring, I ask myself, is every line necessary and is every line eihter funny or contributes to other funny. If not, I cut it or rewrite it. I think a lot of lines could use cuts or rewriting. This stuff takes time to redo. For example
Lets take a look at the pro section. The first line "Mighty, Billy, you dare to ask a question like that?" What could you do to make this even more extreme or set it up for a better following line. How about "Pros you ask? Why does everything have to have a pro? You younger generation always expect the world to have nice things in it. Life isn't pretty Billy. But I guess if you woke kids insist on mentioning something nice...I guess I'd say:" This takes a sort of bland line and makes it more absurd/extreme. Conversely, this might let you consider making a few cuts on the above sections: "Now that your brain has been filled with all of the knowledgesauce that is required on this page", this I think could be cut because it's of a humorous nature but isn't punchy. I'd suggest cutting it, tightening it or replacing it. The higher the concentration of amusement, entertainment and laughs per sentence, the more successful your article is likely to be. I'd be happy to go over this section by section with you. Hope this doesn't come across as too blunt. I find the best feedback is constructive, helpful but direct and not overly sugar coated :) ShabiDOO 18:52, 25 December 2025 (UTC)

I kinda rushed it because the year's about to end but that's one hundred and forty-four hours to work on this. I'll definitely re-read it, cut some fluff out, and edit a lot of things. Made "some" improvements. You can read it here. I'll be honest, the "Harry Potter Summarized in 5 Seconds" approach is a bit TOO obvious. "A minute" seems pretty catchy, although unlikely when you think about it, but it doesn't sound too fake. That's why I settled with "less than a minute" because not only is it much more truer, but it actually fits. OPOSSUM made a contest for the title of "Moccasin Man" because he's done with moccasins.Soviet's Bot won by putting the most moccasins on OPOSSUM's userpage.
US President RealDonaldTrump made Testing the VFH widget (again) (do not feature!), a page that was meant to test some new feature. Turb0 then voted on its VFH page, with many others including me and several admins voting. Because I think I'm sooo clever, I made a VFH page for the VFH. And because Turbs also thinks he's soooo clever, he made a VFH page for that, and a VFH page for that. Gergdown also contributed somewhat to the joke. Alula later deleted the test page and closed all of the nominations.

"Newcomer" and Wikipedia sock puppeteer has finally gotten unbanned after socking and vandalism. Three months ago, Teh Epik Duck consistently vandalised talk pages, forums and encyclopedic articles before being banned by Alula for being a dick.
In an attempt to bypass his ban, Teh Epik Duck told Alula
