Announcing, wTools 2.0!

Huge update to the code behind the scenes, allowing me to do more in less effort if it wasn't for the stupid es5 restrictions to post it as a gadget!

This update will not roll out automatically, you will need to "opt in" manually. To do so you need to first remove the line of code in your common.js file where you import wTools, then you need to enable it in prefrences, in the gadgets tab, under "Maintenance gadgets".

You can go back to the old version at any time if the update has bugs, and please be sure to report bugs, since a very large quantity of code has been changed.

Temporarily removed features in 2.0:

• Custom editor screen.
• "Rollback all" and "rollback selected" on contribution pages.

If you are still using these, the upgrade might not be for you right now. (Special:Nuke exists for admins for the second one).

You can see the full list changes made by clicking the blue dot at the bottom right of your screen. Though to sum it up:

• Should have a few less bugs.
• New button to add to VFD.

Yes, I made Danny Jew, and it was also me who made James Brooks (Not sure why it showed up as a different user). Danny Jun is a teacher at my school who is generally disliked, so me and my friends made that page as a joke, (not sure if thats allowed on Uncylopedia). The James Brooks page has a similar backstory.

Ok so there's a couple of issues with that. 1: that's vanity. 2: this is not a venting space. 3: without the knowledge that it was talking about yourself pretty much anyone would've written it off as cyberbullying (especially me, i've seen lots of cyberbullying articles written like this throughout the years). 4: the article just straight up isn't funny. 5: i don't know how many "a couple" is supposed to be.

@Soviet: you might want to re-check your whitelist first; Category:Holiest of the Holys was there even though it's a category for userpages. Also, you said you were going to skip actual user pages, but imo you should also included those considering there are many that are in categories they shouldn't be. I think what you should do to avoid editing featured pages in userspace is making a minor blacklist for those kind of pages, specially considering there's exactly one featured page in a userspace subpage 🎄🎄🎄DaniPine3 (talk)🎄🎄🎄 06:58, 21 August 2026 (UTC)

Question: Why is it so important to remove categories from userpages? there are a lot of cases where it would just be detrimental to a userpage to not have certain categories. Look at Bad Motherfucker's page. he's got like 5 categories that would be removed with the current list, and none of them have much reason to be. and even if we were to look through the list and cherry-pick certain categories so that a couple pages don't lose a funny category or two, it'd be extremely difficult considering how many uncyclopedians there are and how many pages would have to be gone through manually (I think. even if the category selection could be automated, i'm certain the creation of a list of uncyclopedians couldn't be). I'm not apposed to removing unneeded categories from userspace articles, but removing them from userpages themselves would (in my opinion) be too much of a hassle. --Gamma's still alive (talk) 22:21, 21 August 2026 (UTC)
