Blocked IPs

hey so, uh... i suspect that there is a couple or more blocked ip address, blocked longer then they should be. some admins went a bit overboard and instead of blocking them for 5 years, they block them for indefinitely. IP addresses (usually ipv4) dont grow on trees so, they get, (very occasionally,) recycled to be used by other users. I know this isn't a big deal, but would it be possible to, at least, reduce any ip addresses that have been banned indefinitely to only 5 years? thanks... well it's a specific type. I knew that it was that. I like it because I feel like it evens the playing field, you know? like if you get raided, that's your fault and you should have hidden your stuff better, versus on normal anarchy they have fucking tracers that lets them see chests through the ground and shit and it's not really your fault? then the only way you can really hide is getting really far away and even then they can follow which chunks have been loaded and such, which you can technically do in vanilla, it's just more difficult. so I moved a template Noopnurf created regarding the 'noopstein files' to userspace, since I thought it might be a wee bit too vain for templatespace, and the user got angry with me apparently for "semi-vandalizing their userpage". now the user re-created that template for a third time in a row, and I don't want to start any unnecessary drama. should I just allow the guy to do that and let it be, or do you also agree that template should be in userspace? 🎄🎄🎄DaniPine3 (talk)🎄🎄🎄 02:23, 22 February 2026 (UTC)
