Images[edit source]
In the Bored of the Rings page, I know I would have never wrote "frameless" around the pic I made for that, and I just felt it needed an image for the top of the page like that, but when you wrote in "frame" that fixed the issue with the caption now showing up. But I don't know where the "frameless" came from unless it just automatically did that. I didn't even know that was a thing. Now I'll try it on some other pics I've had issues with. Nacky (talk) 21:14, 5 January 2025 (UTC)
- Oh I see what happened. It wasn't me, after all. Nevermind then, carry on. Talk amongst yourselves. Nacky (talk) 21:20, 5 January 2025 (UTC)
- @Nacky: that was probably Brogo. The guy has a tendency to turn framed images frameless - despite the numerous times literally every single active Uncyclopedian on here have told them they shouldn't do that. But the guy just doesn't listen. Then Brogo has the nerve to say we don't tell what the problem is whenever we revert their edits. πππDaniPine3 (talk)πππ 21:34, 5 January 2025 (UTC)
- In this case, he framed it, so that the caption would show up. I'm detecting that Alula was messing with him lol, he seems to know how to code things that I never knew about. I got that stupid cauldron gif to working on my page! Nacky (talk) 21:49, 5 January 2025 (UTC)
- Okay I went back through the edit history page of Bored of the Rings and it was Brogo who made the image as "frameless" and Alula who fixed it back to framed. The current/previous confuses my brain that goes into to/from mode and getting lost there. Nacky (talk) 00:37, 7 January 2025 (UTC)
- Yeah, i probably should've mentioned that. (Also my name is Alula, not Aula.) 01:25, 7 January 2025 (UTC)

Tranvit[edit source]
Hey so this user was caught using AI for his articles by Willy on wheels, to which ColonelKurtz asked the user if they were a bot, and I asked them if it was true they were using AI. However, they did not respond; and yesterday I caught the guy sockpupetting to create a new article. I warned them that doing that would get them banned, and they eventually left the sockpuppet. They also told me that they were only translating stuff from their home language to English, but wasn't generative AI, so I left them be. However ColonelKurtz is still suspicious that they might be using generative AI, and since we still don't have proper policies regarding that stuff, I was wondering if you could have something to say on the matter... πππDaniPine3 (talk)πππ 23:01, 9 January 2025 (UTC)
- I mean, i doubt they were simply translated through any sort of online translator, mainly because the grammar/language in their articles is way too good to simply be translated through one of those. But there isn't really any way to prove that they use AI to create articles other than the fact that an AI detector flagged all of them (which in case it wasn't obvious, isn't anywhere near definitive proof). 23:25, 9 January 2025 (UTC)

Jan Mayen is off the coast of Norway. I hope this helped. --May (talk) 07:59, 13 January 2025 (UTC)

- @MimicryBoss: Also, I'm pretty sure that Alula is Norwegian. OαΓΆαααα

Please can I have flood again?[edit source]
I'm about to run the template remover script, and it's gonna be EVEN MORE spammy than last time, thanks to an optimization I have made to how it edits pages, as well as how it checks for pages to edit (now it will make very many more edits per second)) L10nM4st3r ROAR at me! / What my paws scratched 20:51, 17 January 2025 (UTC)
- Sure.
- Ooh I found a bug. Seems on some page (idk which) It triggers an infinite loop (waiting forever only for nothing to happen). Fun fact: This is why while loops are dangerous. L10nM4st3r ROAR at me! / What my paws scratched 21:06, 17 January 2025 (UTC)
- Did i fix it? Because i removed the template from the only place i could think of where it'd loop and i don't have the time to check if it worked or not.
- Nope an infinite loop was not tghe issue it turns out. Apparently my error handler (I probably hit a rate limit) was going to notify me with a warning (a variable named e), but there was no "e", it was "err". Whoops, not the first time Ive mispelt variable names. L10nM4st3r ROAR at me! / What my paws scratched 21:31, 17 January 2025 (UTC)
- Oh. Ok then.
- Ok I have removed all (explicit) uses of the template now. I will do a deep "cache purge". This is the most time consuming part. Sadly it will only update the list of templates the page uses when it is edited, the only merit of my old code.. I will automate the 4 stept to a successful template purge tomorrow, when I am not tired. I will probably fall asleep during this cache purge. how? πππDaniPine3 (talk)πππ 23:08, 22 January 2025 (UTC)

- thanks :]
let me guess, it was Lyrinthia who did it, wasn't she? πππDaniPine3 (talk)πππ 23:16, 22 January 2025 (UTC)- What was the problem? Can you ask, I'm curious. L10nM4st3r ROAR at me! / What my paws scratched 23:18, 22 January 2025 (UTC)
- 1: No, it was someone else. 2: The site automatically converted the eszett (yes, that's what it's called) into "SS" in all URLs, making the page completely impossible to interact with.
- Interesting. I've learned 3 things today (from this conversation). L10nM4st3r ROAR at me! / What my paws scratched 23:56, 22 January 2025 (UTC)
- and why is it that it did that in the first place?, was there some motive behind having the wiki automatically replace the eszett into SS? πππDaniPine3 (talk)πππ 23:57, 22 January 2025 (UTC)
- I'm now realizing that the title of the page is in lowercase... perhaps it should be moved to an uppercase eszett? πππDaniPine3 (talk)πππ 00:01, 23 January 2025 (UTC)
- Sure, go ahead.
- wait, hold on, in Wikipedia the title is also on lowercase...? that's weird, I thought they always had their titles on uppercase. well, in that case, I think it's better to leave the article as it is, lest I accidentally break something and make it an inaccessible article again... πππDaniPine3 (talk)πππ 00:08, 23 January 2025 (UTC)
- No, it won't break anything. But i did remembee within the last couple of minutes that the eszett is more or less an exclusively lower-case letter because of the way it's used, so moving it probably wouldn't have made any sense regardless. 00:18, 23 January 2025 (UTC)

- I can't deny, it is true there's some humorous charm about the childish way this user tends to speak in their articles... but it's also true they have overdone this kind of comedy already, and don't seem to be planning to change it. perhaps one day they will finally get to read HTBFANJS and realize of their wrongdoings... that said, do you mind if I hack up the article to move it to their userspace? that way we get to keep the article but it's not in mainspace, and everyone's happy that way. πππDaniPine3 (talk)πππ 11:13, 26 January 2025 (UTC)

- I absolutely expected him to something stupid like this at some point. But even if this didn't happen he was gonna get at least a warning from me at some point (mainly for creating too many short, low-effort articles that weren't that funny, but also for making a dozen worthless forum posts and being a bit of an asshole), which would've probably been long overdue by that point.
- I can't deny, I found the guy a tad funny, despite his sense of humor being rather tasteless and edgy... now the ASBOxAAT series is going to feel a bit empty without him constantly adding nonsense. πππDaniPine3 (talk)πππ 17:34, 30 January 2025 (UTC)

- No, having a resource-heavy tool be able to time itself out when it gets too many requests is actually good (and i believe necessary too), since then it wouldn't put too much server strain on deleting a lot of pages in rapid succession. 16:13, 7 February 2025 (UTC)

Excuse Me! At February 9, 2025, i edited Train page and you revert it?! Why and give me the reason why you revert it, thank you. β Preceding unsigned comment added by 14.192.214.181 (talk β’ contribs)
- I reverted it because your addition to the page wasn't funny. I recommend that you read HTBFANJS before editing next time. 11:25, 18 February 2025 (UTC)

Whack! You've been whacked with a wet trout. Don't take this too seriously. OPOSSUM just wants to let you know that you did something silly, which may or may not include killing all our pet mosquitoes. >:( |

I need some help out here writing a damn article[edit source]
k I tried to write an article on Copium, ya know, that meme and it blocked me from doing that for no reason, just saying cuz I'm new I need to NOT write quality content or anythin --66.222.41.185 (talk) 13:01, 21 February 2025 (UTC)
(also here is the text to it because I need to copy it for later or something Copium is an incredibly addictive substance currently being used by several groups, such as: Nazis, Commies, the Chinese, Russians, Kansas City Chiefs, Taylor Swift, and basically anyone that's failed miserably at whatever they tried to achieve recently (including you).
History
Copium was discovered roughly around the 1600s by Spanish Mexicans exploring the Andes on their frantic search for gold, because they're greedy slimy bastards. The first man to use Copium (the natives hadn't found it somehow) was Juan Doradomansa, who quickly fell into a frantic sob and started arguing about how he got the better half of his divorce, despite not getting the better half at all, and acting extremely emotionally immaturely. The group then took the Copium, left Juan to die, and then shoved it all in the middle of what became Paraguay. Centuries later as Paraguay tried to kill Brazil, Argentina, & Uruguay & then failed, Brazilian troops discovered the Copium and quickly began distributing it among themselves. Brazil found use of this in a form of gaseous Copium, effectively an early form of tear gas. It remained in use within Brazil until the 1990s, when Americans stole the entire supply to use for online arguments, which it is still used today.
Effects
The effects of Copium are as follows.
Extremely uncontrollable sobbing Incessant ranting about something the person has failed at recently in their life Recently discovered to cause aggressive shitting
These effects kick in roughly 7-10 seconds after the Copium is consumed, usually after a mere 5 particles of it enter the body. Overdosing on Copium causes the following often incurable and permanent effects, which inevitably cause death no matter how much medicine is administered.
Such incredibly fast and uncontrollable sobbing it dehydrates the body until death Ranting with such speed the vocal cords are torn apart Extreme shitting that rends the anus apart Attempts at control by the Government
Due to the effects of Overdosing on Copium, the US Government (namely under the Obamna Administration of the late 2000s) has attempted to control the flow and distribution of Copium with two projects, Project Copium Trail and Project Copium Capture.
Project Copium Trail
Project Copium Trail was the first program against Copium initiated by the Obamna Administration, which aimed to stop the transport of Copium from the Andes/Paraguay to America by deploying Australians with guns and armored kangaroos to deter the presence of Copium farmers. It ultimately failed horribly because Brazilians still overpower Australians. The corpse of Juan Doradomansa was found during this project.
Project Copium Capture
Project Copium Capture was the second program initiated against Copium by the Obamna Administration, aiming to halt entry of Copium into the U.S. by deploying hired Brazilians and Australians along the borders. Unfortunately, it failed due to infighting among the Brazilians and Australians over who is the best and the incoming end of the Obamna Administration.)
- Template:Ping alula i hope pinging you worked--66.222.41.185 (talk) 13:25, 21 February 2025 (UTC)
- @66.222.41.185: you're talking her on her talkpage, there's no need to ping. also, you used the template wrong. πππDaniPine3 (talk)πππ 13:32, 21 February 2025 (UTC)
gosh darnit!--66.222.41.185 (talk) 13:33, 21 February 2025 (UTC)
- @66.222.41.185: also, if you want writing advice, Alula might not the best person to ask this. most of the stuff she does around here is admin-related or writing for the ASBOxAAT series; but doesn't often write articles. if anything she can help you why the abuse filter blocks your stuff when it shouldn't be doing that, but I don't think she can do anything beyond that. πππDaniPine3 (talk)πππ 13:43, 21 February 2025 (UTC)
yeah the abuse filter is blocking me from making the page, and I don't know how to fix it to be honest so thats why I came to her, she was listed as an active admin--66.222.41.185 (talk) 13:44, 21 February 2025 (UTC)
- The only way around the abuse filter is to create an account. MrX 15:24, 21 February 2025 (UTC)
- All signs point towards making an account. Really, you should be anyway if you're committed. Also sharing your ip can be a security risk (unless it's a vpn ip) — L10nM4st3r ROAR at me! / What my paws scratched 22:00, 21 February 2025 (UTC)
- The question has already been answered, but i'd like to add that on top of using an account you'd also need to be autoconfirmed or confirmed to not be hit by the filter. Luckily any of us admins can make you a confirmed user, provided you ask for it. 01:37, 22 February 2025 (UTC)
