Tank you[edit source]
Thanks you for helping me on jan mayen. =) May 12:32, 28 November 2024 (UTC)
- @May: also please don't delete my comments. I get you weren't meaning wrong, but it's kinda rude. DaniPine3 (talk) 12:50, 28 November 2024 (UTC)
cherbia[edit source]
I've seen you've found a liking to the Cherbia-related articles. Do you think you could expand them? the guy that created the country for some reason won't work on them; they prefer to create nonsensical pages and then recreate them when the admins delete them, and I frankly don't know how the guy wants us to leave their other articles when they themselves completely ignore it. if we make them get out of ICU, at least this guy won't be annoying us by recreating them again for a third time in a row. of course, you don't have to if you don't want; this is just a suggestion as I've seen you haven't been coming up new stuff for your Jan Mayen stuff recently. πππDaniPine3 (talk)πππ 15:12, 22 January 2025 (UTC)
- thanks for expanding on that stuff :] πππDaniPine3 (talk)πππ 23:20, 22 January 2025 (UTC)
- you're welcome! i found the cherbia page mostly because when i'm bored, i just see whatever pages are on category:ICU. for some reason the cherbian page caught my attention. i quit working on the jan mayen page (for now...) because it's much funnier and better to write stuff that actually exists... but on the cherbia page, i just decided to screw it and write. for the fact that he keeps recreating those pages, yeah that sounds very annoying :P i'm not going to work on chrz city or zirbia because there's nothing that you can really write about them. one last thing, the page "Zirbia" has ACTUALLY EXISTED BEFORE. it was on the simple english wikipedia on january 1st, 2025, before getting deleted. according to google's tiny description of webpages, it actually had the exact same text as the zirbia page currently on uncyclopedia. one last thing, when did he start recreating those pages? oh yeah, i could also just make zirbia and chrz city redirects to their specific parts of cherbia, so he doesn't recreate those pages over and over again... anyway, cheers.--Theultimategergdown (talk) 23:43, 22 January 2025 (UTC)
- well, if the zirbia thing existed already in a different wiki, then that proves even more my suspicions that who created (wikicreator) is just some kind of vandal/spammer; they probably got banned from Simple English Wikipedia, so they came here instead. But guess what, they got banned here too fro recreating three times in a row a really nonsensical page after we explicitly told them not to do that.
btw, I don't think zirbia or that other city should be their own articles either; I tried to merge them with the Cherbia article, but the guy got pissed and undid the merge... no idea what they were trying to do with such few content on those pages. well, now it's bigger and now it's actually funny, and all thanks to you :] πππDaniPine3 (talk)πππ 23:51, 22 January 2025 (UTC)- thx! also i did a bit of digging... and yeah! he was banned, or "globally locked" from the simple english wikipedia for "long-term abuse". i dunno why someone would go to uncyclopedia out of all places after being banned for vandalism on another wiki... whatever. for me though he doesn't appear to be a vandal, he probably just enjoys creating articles related to the Cherbian Cinematic Universe. speaking of which, he also did make chrz city and zirbia on the simple english wikipedia, so that's something. this is (probably) going to be the end of my research... this already feels like too much lol. well at least he can go outside for 59 days until he makes his pages again! cheers. --Theultimategergdown (talk) 00:52, 23 January 2025 (UTC)
- well, thanks for the info... it's true there's a chance they might not be a vandal, but their behavior is rather suspicious in the cryptic way they talk, the nonsensical pages they create, and how they completely ignored what they were told by the admins; plus it's weird how they tried the whole "cherbia" on the Simple English Wikipedia first, which is a factual wiki and doesn't allow fake stuff like this one... a lot of times it seems this guy is more alien than human. πππDaniPine3 (talk)πππ 07:58, 23 January 2025 (UTC)
- okay so this conversation was going to be over, but i found this yesterday. okay so he can speak in German, and if that's his first language, that's probably why he writes with broken english. but... the best thing i found was that he was a sockpuppet of another account linked here. i'm believing that he's a vandal, but he just doesn't think he's vandalizing. ngl i didn't want to do comment anything about wikicreator anymore, it's generally just feels like tattling.--Theultimategergdown (talk) 04:34, 29 January 2025 (UTC)

How the hell do you get an 750 by 750 image to be 1 MEGA byte!? Is every pixel a slightly different colour? L10nM4st3r ROAR at me! / What my paws scratched 16:25, 29 January 2025 (UTC)

- @L10nM4st3r:. That's the problem with png images. They have ridiculous file size, but at least they can be transparent. OαΓΆαααα

- I've never seen a large png image (large as in file-size) whenever I create them (then again, I use some strong compression since the WAY I use them almost always requires it) L10nM4st3r ROAR at me! / What my paws scratched 16:41, 29 January 2025 (UTC)
- oh yeah... i forgot that compression and jpg files existed. i also forgot that images take data, mostly because it's not an issue MOST OF THE TIME.--gergdown, eh (talk) 16:43, 29 January 2025 (UTC)
- @L10nM4st3r: I used a lot of Wikimedia Commons for Make it to Ketchikan. A lot of them had ridiculously large file sizes and took a few seconds to load as page backgrounds. I'm trying to figure out how to load low-resolution versions without uploading a new file altogether. OαΓΆαααα

- turns out the drawing software that i'm using (paint.net) has a compression tool. nice. would've been useful...--gergdown, eh (talk) 17:03, 29 January 2025 (UTC)
- Not sure there is a way, other than just compressing the image. Why not upload it directly to commons to replace the old image? The old image can always be reverted to if somebody thinks there is a problem. L10nM4st3r ROAR at me! / What my paws scratched 17:25, 29 January 2025 (UTC)

Theultimategergdown was automatically promoted from (none) to extended confirmed user[edit source]
Congrats! Now you're officially one of us... πππDaniPine3 (talk)πππ 23:34, 29 January 2025 (UTC)
Congratumulations![edit source]
You are now an extended confirmed user! This comes with perks, such as:
- Adding or removing A's to the AAAAAAAAA! article (no reason to do that now, though)
- Vandalizing other people's signatures (why would you do that)
- Being a much more trusted user, and thus, being able to do some really weird stuff
- Being eligible for Sandwich (not Sysop) of the Month
If you have any questions, slap Radical Rocko with a whale using this template. They're sure to respond to that! — L10nM4st3r ROAR at me! / What my paws scratched 10:11, 30 January 2025 (UTC)
