Listenbourg, officially known as the Federal People's Empire of Listenbourg, is a country and empire in Europe. The country is famous for the immense impression it has had on its fellow European countries. Listenbourg is also well known for being one of the most interesting countries in the world, and for its "Annual Space Race", which attracts thousands of astronauts every year.

Listenbourg's first inhabitants reached it from Finland. They left behind the world's biggest sauna complex. When the Romans tried to invade the country in the 5th century, this caused the end of the Roman Empire and marked the beginning of Listenbourg's lasting hegemony within Europe. About 30% of contemporary English vocabulary entered the language from Listenbourgeois around this time. The Early Middle Ages were characterized by a power struggle between the Divine Emperor, who followed Eastern Orthodox Christian liturgy and the pope, who was Jewish. This culminated in the Eleventh Crusade, which saw Listenbourg sacking Rome. The pope was forced to convert to Christianity but got to keep his yarmulka and thus the Roman Catholic Church was born.
