- I'm glad you're happy, but in the future, please don't put such large and horribly bright templates on my talkpage. It burns, see. It burns... ~ 21:29, 29 October 2011
You...[edit source]
...seem to like my picture, don't you? It does not hurt me, seeing my picture everywhere, but, cheese, THEY'REALLWATCHINGMEANDWHATIFTHEYDON'TLIKEMYFACEANDYOUKNOWAAAAH! I was too lazy to copy the title. OMG!!! It`s Cat the Colourful, Jesus Christ!!! 14:44 30 October 2011
- It's a very fitting image of a cat, man. Because it's time we used cats. Last year we had at Jimbo Wales, this year it's cat time. After all, where would Uncyclopedia be without its cats? If they don't like it, they can eat my fist. ~ 14:56, 30 October 2011
- ALL HAIL CATS!!!
- Oh, sorry, I was so excited about the year of the cat. And, as a little little sitenotice, it's Cat the Colourful, not Cat Colourful, as you have spelled the picture. OMG!!! It`s Cat the Colourful, Jesus Christ!!! 15:28 3 November 2011
- Cats are worth excitation. But that's just an abbreviation. Okay, so maybe I should worry more about abbreviating the other part, but... I'unno how. >.< It's nothing official-like. ~ 15:32, 3 November 2011
- As abbreviation is official-like. Heh. Heheheh. Bohoo OMG!!! It`s Cat the Colourful, Jesus Christ!!! 15:35 3 November 2011
- Would you like me to move the files? *shifty eyes* ~ 15:37, 3 November 2011
- I'll try... But where's the move-button? Can't find it. Who ate it? OMG!!! It`s Cat the Colourful, Jesus Christ!!! 15:40 3 November 2011
- Okay, now done it. I put those other pictures with names that are not my names into QVFD (please don't kill me please, if the idea was stupid you can always restore them, I know you're an admin.), put the new names to your template and NOW fixed the template I copied from the template-page, so it wont look ugly and, well, red. The only side-effect is that those pictures are now uploaded by me, but you can always change that and make my whole proces again. It could have been still much easier if we'd have the move-button somewhere around. But now I've changed the name nicer. Your welcome. OMG!!! It`s Cat the Colourful, Jesus Christ!!! 16:11 3 November 2011
- The move button is only there for files for admins. That was why I asked if you wanted me to do it. *shifty eyes* But anyway, so long as nothing's broke, no matter. Works for me this way as well as another, but now you know for next time. ~ 03:29, 4 November 2011
- Aah, *kitty eyes*. I read you wrong. I thought that you asked me to move the files. *shifty eyes* But now everything's broken, so it's all f... No, nothings broken. Everythings fine. Maybe I should eat something. OMG!!! It`s Cat the Colourful, Jesus Christ!!! 18:06 5 November 2011
- My head is broken, but other than that, yeah... fine, fine. Perhaps eating would fix my head, too... *wanders off* ~ 21:56, 5 November 2011

Could you please stop raining down on my parade every time you feel like it?
15:50, 30 October 2011- If that's raining on your parade, mon, how were I and everyone else supposed to take it when you kept reverting us in earnest? Really, I was hoping we were past this - it was supposed to be a joke. You made a 'vandal' sock and welcome it, so what am I to do but kill it? It's a vandal sock! And such. ~ 16:33, 30 October 2011
- The bottom line is that seeing my spoof account on the user creation log and welcoming it put a smile on my face and seeing it having been deleted on my watchlist did the opposite. If you just meant it as a joke, then I apologise for making a big deal out of it. I can be pretty fragile sometimes. I'll be quiet now. 16:46, 30 October 2011

- Manor? Are you referring to the YMCA they put in awhile back? It did have its uses since it meant there was a nearby hydrant, but that seems a mite odd HOLY CRAP A SQUIRREL!
- Also, I find it amusing that even my windows machine doesn't have any of those fonts. ~ 19:01, 30 October 2011
- I find it amusing that mine has them all, and it's a "factory" install of XP Home. Oh, well. ~ Sun, Oct 30 '11 21:11 (UTC)
- That's actually probably why - home versions seem to care more for weird 'media' stuff. Enterprise versions, on the other hand, tend to wind up with more odd techy stuff that at times almost seems useful. Except it's still windows, so not really. ~ 21:14, 30 October 2011

Thank you very, very much. -- 20:37, November 1, 2011 (UTC)
- Templates... ~ 05:20, 2 November 2011
- Oh, sorry. I was just going down the line of users who voted for me and pasting the template on their talk pages. Do you want me to not put templates on your page because I thought that your only complaint was that the Spongebob template was yellow. -- 19:11, November 2, 2011 (UTC)
- My main complaint is just that they're really huge. Although the bright colours don't help. But the size is just... big, and without any apparent reason for it. Filling up half my browser window and going off the side is big, right? But yeah, if they're to be so large And brightly coloured, please. ~ 03:52, 3 November 2011
- It doesn't come out that big on my browser window. In fact, it barely takes up any room. Maybe it's because I use a Mac. -- 20:14, November 3, 2011 (UTC)

ADHD[edit source]
I really need someone who is Staff so I chose you. I am a patient with ADHD and I find the article on it insulting and it is also illegal. Please could you do the right thing and remove it? If you don't want to, please contact all staff and forward this to them. Thanks JAF1999 15:30, November 5, 2011 (UTC)
- Where she could remove it? And also, everything here is almost illegal, and I have a brother that has ADHD, so please do something to it yourself. Thankyou. OMG!!! It`s Cat the Colourful, Jesus Christ!!! 18:09 5 November 2011
- lmao, how is it illegal? What law does it break? Also, hi. I'm stalking your talk page. <3 --HM (T) 21:10, November 5, 2011 (UTC)
- Hello, HELPME, Cat, weird person... anyway, weird person, the folks are right; it ain't illegal (what is normally considered 'libel' or 'slander' or whatnot is fine due to the satire/parody nature of the site), just crappy. Also, I'm not staff. I had a staph infection once, though. ~ 21:55, 5 November 2011
Fuck your bot.[edit source]
It deleted File:Sand witch.jpg. Restore it, or I'll kill your father's uncle's brother's pharmacist's lab partner. Twice removed. -- 00:07, November 6, 2011 (UTC)
- Actually, it looks like this is your own fault - the file isn't used. At all. The only pages that even link to it are a list of unused files and this page because you linked it here. I've restored it, but please use it in some fashion (such that the software agrees that it is used) or it will only be deleted again; the process is pretty automated and such. Also, I encourage you to kill that guy regardless; if he's the one I'm thinking of, he has owed me money for some time and, well, he managed to avoid the hit I called on him and I'm not inclined to pay for another try. ~ 00:21, 6 November 2011
- I know it was unused, but it was linked on VFS. Anyway, thanks for restoring it, I'll try to use it, somehow. Now Off to wipe the blood of your sort-of-family-member off my hands! Toodles! -- 00:40, November 6, 2011 (UTC)

By then my creative juices will be gone and I won't be much apt to write here anymore. So maybe it's better to hop to a nOObs page or something. What do you think? --ShabiDOO 03:11, November 7, 2011 (UTC)

Article[edit source]
I'm a little new here, and since you welcomed me to Uncyclopedia, I read the guide. I appearently tested what I have learned with an article on HowTo:Be A Santa Rapist. Because you're proffesional, I would like you to help me master the path to ultimite success, by checking my article and leaving constructive critism. If you have some other information that I may have missed, please guide me to it. If you don't want to help, that's fine, but please put on my talk page: I don't want to help. Thus, I'll know. The thing is, I want to nominate an article on VFH, but I know without a few tips and improvement, I may never have my article featured. That's why, with your guidance and along with the Uncyclopedia guide, I will eventually nominate an article on VFH. I'm not sure when, but with your tips, it may be quicker. Thanks for reading this. --PopGoesTheWeasel 09:58, November 7, 2011 (UTC)
- I wouldn't say I'm a professional at anything - even the stuff I get paid to do I find ways to monumentally screw up - but I'll give the article a look when I'm less distracted. That said, you'll need a review anyway before you self-nom (that's the rules), so you really might as well request a review regardless. I'll fill the thing out myself, if you'd like, at least if you do so before I get back to this. ~ 17:01, 7 November 2011
Ah Thanks I did'nt say I would self-nominate my article, as, like I told you, I'm a newbie and not confident enough with my writing skills but thanks for the response and tips. --ThisGuyHasNoLife 13:42, November 11, 2011 (UTC)
- Ah, okay. A lot of noobs do that and... well, yeah. Sorry for the presumption. And I will give the article a proper lonkers at some point, really. >.< I'm just... lazy. And sidetracked. ~ 21:41, 11 November 2011
Thanks[edit source]
... for the thoughts. I'll be around from time to time, if only to vote. The site depends on people who actually put in the hard work like yourself rather than just spunk out words, which is basically what I did for 3 years. --Sog1970 23:48, November 7, 2011 (UTC)
- But words are such lovely things... and I'm glad of that. Yours is a name I'd like to continue seeing around here, even if your main projects may be elsewhere. ~ 00:22, 9 November 2011
Hey! How are you?[edit source]
Good? You'd better be! I was wondering what are the different "types" of UnNews tags I can use on the lead articles template, I know only of "special" so far. Mattsnow 04:29, November 8, 2011 (UTC)
- Types:
- breaking - for especially timely or time-critical stories
- special
- original - for stories with {{Original}} instead of real sources
- exclusive - for "exclusive interviews," especially when they are exclusive because we're interviewing ourselves
- urgent
- editorial - for stories tagged as UnNews Editorials
- column - for stories tagged as UnNews Columns
- feature - for articles that are featured on the Uncyclopedia main page
- The list's also in the commented out section at the top of the lead articles template. ~ 00:26, 9 November 2011
- Errr... I knew of course... Hum... I was just testing to see if you knew... Hu-Hum. Great parody templates, btw! Does your cat accept canned tuna donations? Mattsnow 01:16, November 9, 2011 (UTC)

I miss that about you. I might even do one myself... nahhh. --Black Flamingo 17:44, November 9, 2011 (UTC)

Self-deopping[edit source]
Wouldn't make the statement I want to make - which is that I mean it. But joke ban all you want, I'm pretty sure in that forum recently I was saying something along those lines. Mind you, I'd esteem it a favour if the joke bans were kept to a sensible length! I'll see you around, I can't stay away from this place too long, I have too many things I want to write, and I like too may people on here. Keep doing what you do, and don't let the hamsters grind you down! --UU - natter 19:49, Nov 12
- It might, might not. But what is sensible? Are statements sensible? Do you like chicken? Why can you not just... not use the adminny stuff? Is it the same reason I can't seem to get around to watering my plants? But writing... hmm. That takes so long to do. I hope you're right about this helping... ~ 20:26, 12 November 2011
- Now the adminny stuff isn't there, there's not the temptation to use it. So it will help. I don't see the word "block" next to the word "Lyrithya" or "ChiefjusticeDS" - that will free up several of the valuable seconds I have whenever I'm here for starters. So I can, uh, waste them on talk pages instead? Naw - I will write something, and hopefully soon, but I haven't used the op powers for any serious purpose for ages, so why have them? And I do like chicken, but I prefer lamb. And pork with crackling. Apart from your piggy, obviously - he should totally be opped, and not eaten. Hope that clears things up. --UU - natter 21:52, Nov 13
- But what about the squirrel over there? Is that not temptation enough? Blargle. I suppose lamb is probably much better than squirrel, too... things are never clear, though, not ever. When they appear to be that is when you know things are going horribly wrong. ~ 23:03, 13 November 2011

More Templates, Less Drama![edit source]
Thanks For Your Purchase! The NAARAHYNWOMDTCRDP appreciates your patronage because it prevents us from having to get real jobs and we can continue to provide you with compelling yet useless publications which exploit your fear of embarrassment and nuclear holocausts. Here's an oddly designed abomination of a template for your talk page as a special gift which acknowledges your stupidity for everyone on Uncyclopedia to see! |
Thanks for the vote Lyrithya!--
19:01, November 14, 2011 (UTC)- There's really no need to thank me, especially with such large templates on my talkpage. Please. ~ 13:18, 15 November 2011
- Sorry but it's a tradition - and with a lot of users it's considered poor manners to not issue a thank you or template. I've always tried to go above and beyond by making it an extension of the article with extra jokes. It would probably help to make a note at the top of your talk page that you don't wish to receive a VFH thank you or template. I always look for such things, especially after not doing so on one occasion and using the word "rape" on UU's freshly archived talk page when he specifically stated that he found it inappropriate. I shall add you to the "do not disturb" list with Zombiebaron.--
- Well, normally I don't mind, and it is cheering that people are grateful, but yours have just been really... big. Thank you for the consideration, though. ~ 16:54, 15 November 2011

Greetings[edit source]
I tried to email you, but Wikia doesn't seem to be happy at the moment... It said "Action throttled," whatever that means. o_O -- 11:27 November 15, 2011 (UTC)
- Sounds like that may have been their solution to the broken special pages thing - disable them entirely? Did you (try to) email multiple people regarding something, or was it just one or less than five? Does it work now? 'Action throttled' is what it normally says when one tries to do too much of the same thing - it's a way of preventing some types of spam, normally, but there's no telling how broken something may be. ~ 13:22, 15 November 2011

"Why should an article that the author admits was quickly half-assed and not worth polishing up be featured?"
That's not a vote, that's personally attacking the credibility of the author. Your language also suggests that we're not equal offenders.-- 16:31, November 15, 2011 (UTC)

You have a history of making drama over VFH nominations, and while I don't know how much of that may or may not also apply to monika as well, the thing applies to both of you - VFH is not a discussion page. Just don't do that. Folks are welcome to their opinions, and they invariably disagree on some things, and if someone is voting against because of X, then that is generally their prerogative, even if you happen to disagree. If you'd like to try to convince them otherwise then you are welcome to take that up with them politely on their talkpages, but taking things as attacks and responding in kind, even if they are, only makes matters worse - if a vote does seem to be an attack, please take it up with an admin, and they can strike the vote if it is deemed as such or as otherwise improper without the thing turning into a lovely mess. What monika said there, however, appears to simply be how she saw it based on what took place in the PLS, and she is welcome to link her initial reasoning regarding the article. Her opinion and reasons do not mean other people will agree, but they are her opinion and reasons. ~ 16:51, 15 November 2011
- Sorry to disagree but we don't have to argue about this. It was not stated as opinion by Monika, it was stated as fact. That is clear and undeniable.--
- That is also opinion, as is this statement, and probably most of whatever else anyone may say here or wherever. May I interest you in a biscuit? It's not real, of course, and it's made of opinions, but it's still probably quite tasty. Although that's just speculation. Is speculation opinion, too? This bears investigating... ~ 17:04, 15 November 2011
- As I will tell Monika personally, the words "in my opinion" make a huge difference when making any statement. I'm a stickler for word usage and biscuits with an entree that enhances their flavor.--
- Mon, I know you probably don't want my advice regarding this, but that's not a good idea. I read the talkpage where you two had been arguing about the thing in enormous blocks of text before, and RAHB was right, you were basically a giant dick to her about it from the start. Best thing to do would just be to drop the matter and leave it and her be, regardless of how you may feel; ultimately none of this matters. ~ 17:22, 15 November 2011
- Well, one of the cardinal rules that I learned at KFJC is the he/she who complains essentially volunteers - therefore I will volunteer to judge during the next PLS and will not offer an entry. I will basically provide the kind of judgery that I would want as a writer and put forth what I believe is appropriate behavior. If you carefully read the dialog between RAHB and I, it's also (in my opinion) clear that my motivations were not that of a writer who thinks his dookie doesn't stink. I think he misunderstood my motivation as well and I don't necessarily blame him but we hashed it out. Have you seen my dialog over Tsar Bomba with the original author? It's probably longer than the article itself. I took great pains to not insult him and provide him with very clear advice about article creation - not to mention extensive explanation for why certain additional edits were not advisable. Someone who writes as many reviews as you do could have offered advice that was less generic and more specific too. What is it about PLS that emboldens some judges to be so snarky? I did think the awful noob selections justified some acid laced swipes but I see a lot of people suddenly putting on a crown or tiara when they get to be a judge.-- 18:23, November 15, 2011 (UTC)
- That's lovely, but I really don't care, which is often the case with such giant blocks of text; they are neither fun nor often relevant. Just please stop taking things so personally, will you? ~ 21:26, 15 November 2011
- Yes, your lack of caring was very noticeable over "Wild Onion".-- 21:37, November 15, 2011 (UTC)

Am I allowed to do maintenance on Pee reviews? --Sir Oliphaunte (განხილვა) 21:47, November 15, 2011 (UTC)

Just a little question[edit source]
How many voted does an article need in VFH to actually get featured and get highlighted on the main page? One guy said 10 but I noticed a few articles with more than 10 votes and they're still not featured yet. Thanks for reading this. -- 08:09, November 16, 2011 (UTC)
- It can vary, the usual benchmark is around a score of 12, though articles have been featured in the past with 11 votes. Featuring also depends on the number of votes for other articles on VFH, if there is an article with 17 votes for and none against then that will usually be featured before an article with 12 votes. All that said occasionally we are gripped by the need to do weird and wacky things so don't be shocked if the score for featuring varies a little. I hope that goes some way to answering your question. Also your signature is too tall; see here for details. --ChiefjusticeGameBoy 11:28, November 16, 2011 (UTC)
- Yeah, what the lovely bastard in red said. And for the signature, it's the image, mainly. Too big. Although it also helps if you sign on the same line as your text; some places that's required. Others no so much, but good practice regardless. Cheeses. ~ 15:06, 16 November 2011

P.S. My original version(s) of the Foolitzer Prize were less plastic-looking and more metal-y looking, but Sock said the highlights looked weird. So that's why it looks like plastic.

PC about to asplode![edit source]
Windows took like an hour to load after cutting Internet, I'm afraid I'll be unable to get online pretty soon if things continue like this, but it miraculously managed to connect after a lot of waiting. I'll get things working again if the crash occurs again (namely, buy another PC to replace this piece of crap) I wanted to tell you should I go offline for some time, especially for the UnNews thing. - I forgot why, but I think you said something convincing at the time and I agreed. Didn't I? Thing is, it'd make sense either place for a whole slew of reasons - it's not pretending to be a book, but it is written like one, but then, so are so many others in either place... Perhaps what we need are more cowbells. ~ 00:23, 28 November 2011
Ermey Rewrite Template[edit source]
I noticed a while back that, during the assimilation, the Ermey Rewrite template had been removed. I was rather fond of that one, so is it possible to bring it back to general use via putting it on the rewrite template page? If not, can I at least have a copy? I do enjoy putting down a few IPs... --Gamma 04:45, November 28, 2011 (UTC)

- WAIT! I FOUND IT! Contemplating mainspace. ---Gamma 01:16, November 30, 2011 (UTC)
- Please, mon, those were phased out for the sake of organisation (and also because they were being abused). It does not belong in the maintenance templates pile, and nor would its use on mainspace articles be appropriate considering as there is no rewrite category anymore and as being mean actually doesn't help that much when dealing with IPs. ~ 16:45, 9 December 2011

Vector @ Greek uncyclopedia[edit source]
Thank you for your reply at zombiebaron's page! Regarding your 'Get a real host' comment: If I had an idea how to accomplish this migration successfully, I wouldn't be asking here. Furthermore, why don't you get a real host after all? (actually that's a genuine question) :P (btw, doesn't the fact that you have wikia staff among your admin members help exerting some pressure regarding the vector skin?). Beyond this, you suggest that given our relative technical cluelessness, it'd be prohibitive to maintain vector on our wiki? We currently use monobook as the default in our wiki. Is it a tweaked version of monobook that you use as vector/Uncyclopedia skin here? --JimmyX 21:43, November 28, 2011 (UTC)
- Yeah, it's hard, but the smaller the wiki, the easier the transition, usually. Main reason we're still here is we just don't have the community support to go anywhere else, and we also don't actually have access to our own domain name (wikia bought it back in the day, which is a bit of a problem). You lot, on the other hand, would have less stuff to worry about moving, bandwidth and disk space would be less of an issue, and wikia doesn't have your domain name - carlb registered it on behalf of Uncyclomedia at some point, so he could point that wherever for you, either on the uncyclomedia servers themselves if you lot chose to go there, or somewhere else if you wanted to go independent. But there would be problems, of course; unreliable dumps, shadow copies, lack of user database, missing things... it's never easy.
- That said, I may have been over-dramatacising a mite; things aren't that dire. I think.
- Our 'vector' is just modified monobook, aye - I put copies with the relevant javascript and css in my userspace here and here, respectively, if you want to use it. Css would just replace the current el:MediaWiki:Monobook.css and the js would probably go at the end of the current el:MediaWiki:Monobook.js. Yes, there may be upkeep issues, but if some of you can get the basics of css syntax down, you shouldn't have too much trouble. Very similar css is also used by the folks at Inciclopedia, so even if we stop maintaining ours for whatever reason, if something happens to muck it up you should be able to look and see what they do to fix it. You're also welcome to ask me if at any point something to looks weird; I'll be happy to help so long as I'm around the uncyclopedias. ~ 00:18, 29 November 2011
Superman68[edit source]
Hi. I made up an article on this site called "User:Superman68" sometime ago and I'd like to see it deleted. I originally wrote the article under the username Superman68 but I've forgotten my password since then and have had to make a new account. I've tried to delete this article several times before, but have been unsuccessful in my attempts. I'd like to see it deleted because it is useless, completely naive, loaded with grammatical mistakes, and less a joke I can share with other people and more a joke on myself. And as it's completely irrelevant to Uncyclopedia, I'm hoping to see this article deleted as soon as possible. Thanks for your help. – Preceding unsigned comment added by Cale68 (talk • contribs)

Favor to ask[edit source]
Hopefully I didn't scare you away with the title since I know you hate to do favors. I've noticed you spend a good deal of time on irc, and seeing as how I won't be able to do that for quite some time since things have come up, would you be so kind as to periodically tell people to visit my site and write down some questions for unsignpost. Chief mentioned it in the latest edition, but I doubt it had a lasting effect on anyone (No offense to Chief. He's a great writer or something). I feel like out of anyone, you would be the best PR helper in getting the idea for this thing out there. Also, you are scary.
P.S. If you do this I'll do you any favor you ask later on. Seriously. Or not. I dunno. I probably would? Probably. Definitely. No. Yes. Cheers! --Sir Oliphaunte (განხილვა) 14:48, December 2, 2011 (UTC)

Seems peculiar. I've seen it happen before too! Can anything be done about it?
23:21, 4 December 2011- I believe it's a problem with the variations between how browser javascript engines allocate memory. Arguably the entire script needs a rewrite, but for now the best thing that can be done about it is to use a browser that allocates more memory for its variables. Whatever that means. ~ 23:31, 4 December 2011

I can't currently join the IRC channel, now I've followed the instructions of ChanServ and tried logging in, but the thing is I keep getting an error message saying my Nick is already in use in the channel. Aristocrat's Judgery[edit source]
Now the dust has settled on another exciting Turkey Day Ball competition its time for all those kind volunteers to set to judging. The results day is next saturday, the 10th December, so it should give everyone enough time to pick their winning entries, if you are not going to be able to complete in this time give us the heads up. Your results should be revealed here. Thank you for your time... -- Sir Mhaille (talk to me)
- Deadline is tomorrow at something o'clock....let me know if you will have any problems finalising your judgin'? -- Sir Mhaille (talk to me)
- Mon, please use a timestamp. Without one I have no idea when you said that and thus no idea what tomorrow you are referring to. As much as I appreciate that you took the time to actually remind people at the start of the judging period (I think; it's hard to really tell without a timestamp on that either), I'd honestly appreciate it a whole lot more if you'd start using timestamps. Please?
- And yeah, I'll do that shortly (assuming this isn't after the undefined tomorrow that I really don't know what it was because you didn't use a timestamp). ~ 16:24, 9 December 2011
Hello[edit source]
First off, let me apologize for what I said to you last night on IRC, and also for my tone. I lost my temper. However, in the future, if you have a sudden impulse to ban me, please notify me that I've done something wrong, instead. A ban is pointless if the person you're banning has no idea what it's for.
Secondly, I have 2 questions:
- Articles from the new namespaces are showing up in the watchlist as red-links, even though they still exist. Hurrah. Also, even though the watchlist (theoretically) should have separate areas for each new namespace, only one (HowTo) is showing up. Has someone reported this to Wikia already, or should I?
- You mentioned the new Foolitzer image looked like plastic. Is this better? ~ Mon, Dec 5 '11 20:32 (UTC)
- Mon, far as I can tell, you got upset over what it was for when I actually tried to explain, not for the ban itself. I can try to not ban you for randoms in the future if I remember, but that won't change the other aspects.
- If that's still not fixed, try throwing a dead whale at sannse.
- If by 'better', you mean looking less plasticky, well... the bottom half does. The main problem is the inexplicable whiteness on top, which is now only more apparent. Metal doesn't do that like that. I wasn't kidding about the plastic making sense, though, so there really is no need to fix it. ~ 16:32, 9 December 2011
- Well, metal does do like that — especially polished metal. There's this very poorly-documented concept called (wait for it) "specular reflectivity". A really, really kewl recent invention — you may have heard of it, maybe not — makes particular use of this rare attribute. I believe they call this new-fangled whirligig a "mirror".
- Ba-dum-bum-ching
- Seriously, though, if everybody's satisfied with the "plastic" look, I'll leave off. ~ Sat, Dec 10 '11 1:32 (UTC)
- Next time you try apologise for something, please dont devalue it so quickly by making an arse of yourself. That is not funny and it is actually somewhat annoying, especially when you cannot even seem to be bothered to get things right. ~ 21:04, 12 December 2011
Lollirequest[edit source]
A few of my early articles, mainly the ones that are related to sports, were actually really written by one of my cousins. He approved me adding the articles to Uncyclopedia. However, one year later, he kindly asked me to remove everything that I added that he wrote. As most of the sporked material has already been deleted long ago, the only remianing article is Atlanta Thrashers. Please delete this, and i'll notify you if I find another of his articles. Thank you. -- PLEB SIR Lollipop (TALK) - updated on 6 December 2011, at 02:25
- What were you thinking, letting someone else use your accounts? Have you any idea what kind of a mess that makes of the attribution?! Are you trying to get us in legal trouble? You should be ashamed of yourself!
- Just kidding; there is the slight caveat in which we don't actually care about legality here, of course. Care for some beer? And mustard? ~ 21:06, 12 December 2011

My Master[edit source]
Apparently, a wiki a friend and I created is missing a few of the editing features we know and love (like colored text). Are said features not a part of basic scripts? --Gamma 04:27, December 7, 2011 (UTC)

I noticed you were editing my appeal subpage recently. That look great, thanks! I've added one or two more since then if you'd like to take a look. MadMax 13:13, December 13, 2011 (UTC)
- I was trying to pretty them up a bit, but considering what wikimedia started doing, they're now mostly in the proper form already. Which is kind of unhappying to me, because they're just so ugly like that... and now what yours would need is deprettying. I don't think I could bear to do that. ~ 22:26, 16 December 2011
- Oh, and the ones you made more recently, makes me wish I knew the folks. Haven't been around in awhile that I know of, unfortunately. Although that could just be a sign I really haven't been paying attention lately. ~ 22:28, 16 December 2011
Could Haydrahlienne...[edit source]
...be persuaded to assist in communicating to member's of the IC in the same way he/she/it/neither/both sends out USP? What would you need in order to be able to do this? Pup 12:04 15 Dec '11

- Ah, something that doesn't contain other links would be nice (and content, content could get in the way of copying and pasting if I ever get Haydrahliene working and decide to try another method)... er, other Haydrahliene. The computer, not the user. If that makes any sense. ~ 22:35, 17 December 2011

Stuff[edit source]
I've been thinking of stuff recently, and wondering if there is a way to return a value if a page has been featured. So that I can do a {{iffeature|{{{1}}}|featured|not featured}}
type of thing. (I figure that there is something like a dpl command I can use, but dpl is not my forte.) Any ideas? Pup 12:34 29 Dec '11
- You'd have to use DPL to check if it has the template on it; the template is what makes features actually be features, and that's how all the other stuff does it. ~ 05:07, 30 December 2011
- It's includes or something. You could probably check the code on the mainpage templates if you still need it. ~ 05:10, 30 December 2011
- Bizzeebeever has given me an answer on my talk page. I've got plans and ideas in line about making Category:Vital articles and UN:VITAL a little more usable. While I was sleeping, though, it seems that every article with Category:Rewrite has either been deleted or the tags have come off. Is there any reason why we wouldn't add Category:Rewrite to articles any more? Pup 06:11 30 Dec '11

As though nobody cares about MediaWiki:Protectedpagetext?[edit source]
MediaWiki:Protectedpagetext is only "This page has been locked to prevent editing." and I am asking you because you huffed it on March 13, 2011, probably meaning nobody cares about it. Why not tell whether the page is semi-protected or fully protected? Why not encourage users to create an account and use it for only useful contributions so they can edit semi-protected pages, submit an edit request the way it will most likely be responded to, or try their best to become an administrator here so they can edit protected pages? Why not be humorous? Please read: MediaWiki talk:Protectedpagetext – Preceding unsigned comment added by 218.186.15.10 (talk • contribs)
- I'm sorry; notwithstanding what the other fellow said, I don't even know what you're asking. Also, please sign your comments on talkpages with four tildes (~~~~). ~ 05:22, 2 January 2012
Hey ayhtiryL[edit source]
Would you mind popping over here whenever you are free to see if there is a way to fix the coding so that the background will stop flickering when you scroll down? Take your time though, it's not important and I feel as though I have been asking you for many favors lately. --Sir Oliphaunte (განხილვა) 10:43, January 3, 2012 (UTC)
- No flicker when I viewed it. What browser are you experiencing it in? Pup 12:42 03 Jan '12
- Safari and I believe in explorer too. Haven't tried firefox or chrome though. What are you using? --Sir Oliphaunte (განხილვა) 15:31, January 3, 2012 (UTC)

- It appears to be doing that because of framerate at which some browsers/browser-monitor combinations display the scrolling - for me it only occurred in IE. But without a sufficiently high framerate, the stripes have an additive effect on each other, making it appear as if the background is flickering. As such the only solutions I can think of would be to ignore it, use a better browser, set your monitor to a higher refresh-rate (maybe), or change the width of the stripes. ~ 17:37, 3 January 2012
- For some reason it only flickered when I used the down arrow. Scrolling down with my mouse didn't cause any weirdness. Also, to repeat ChiefjusticeDS, this isn't my talkpage.
- It's not mine, either. But the down arrow probably just scrolls differently than the other thing. ~ 17:49, 3 January 2012

- I'm serious, man. I don't want to be there. It's just distracting and unhappy for me, and the other folks, including yourself, and I have no idea why you haven't been nominated, all deserve the recognition and praise such an award has to offer. I just want to make squiggles. No bother, no unwarranted spites, no unhappy feelings. ~ 02:50, 4 January 2012
- Of course it's distracting. When I was in the running for writer last year it was like walking on eggshells when I was communicating with Mhaille or Sog, and my interest in having a tie was real. All these guys deserve it. But maybe just relax into it and let people kiss at you and the others, and then on the last day you can slazzle. But the value of something like this is it's a learning curve, you will get some new emotions and play with them, handle them, etc cte. Anyway, if I didn't revert someone else will, so it's just drama and you will be banned and then unban yourself and it's a dirty cycle. Me? I wasn't around enough this year for a nom for anything. Hell, I was gone so much that I only had 23 features (the most for the second year in a row, pat pat on back), a dismal failure. Aleister minutes later where's puppy?

By declining the nominations you rob people of the opportunity to show their appreciation. Which means we're going to have to find another way to show our appreciation - and that may end up being a touch more... distracting. Pup 03:37 04 Jan '12

A belated thank-you from an inveterate procrastinator[edit source]
Greetings, Lyrithya. You nominated me for POTM for November. Now, obviously it's been a while since this happened. However, I figured that, while it can be too late to ask for forgiveness, it is never too late to give thanks.
Once again, thank you, and my apologies for not thanking you sooner. This impersonal, auto-generated message will self-destruct in 5 seconds. ~ Wed, Jan 4 '12 11:43 (UTC)
- Hmm, that reminds me... I should thank everyone who voted for me/my things in 2011 at some point. Also, you're welcome. ~ 16:32, 4 January 2012
Fake awards and fishheads[edit source]
Hello shadow uoty. Is there someway to find out who had the most featured articles from past years? I gave myself two fake awards for most features in a year on my award page, but would like to give the fake award to previous fake award winners. Can a bot find out? Probably not, but meh. And did you know that Uncle J has 79 UnNews articles and hasn't won the foolitzer yet? Go, vote, go now. And, as always, geese. Aleister 1:45 6-1-'12
- None that I know of. Well, no easy way, anyhow. You could go through the lists of features for the years and check who the main contributors are, but that seems like it'd just be painful, and I'm too incompetent to script a bot to do it. Perhaps there's something else, or you could ask someone else who is a scripter, but meh. And did you know I've never read any of them, and subsequently probably wouldn't be entirely qualified to vote? A Chicken to your Goose, and a Goose to the Fir. ~ 01:51, 6 January 2012
- Well, yeah. I think I did count once, when I was into seeing if I had the most features ever in a year (I did, why didn't anybody stop me from writing all those pages? I don't even know how I did it.) so I kind of have a muscle memory of who had lots of features per year. Maybe someday. If you have a quarter-minute go look at my new Fake Awards, I'm pretty happy with how they turned out. Simple but mesmerizing thingeys. And are you at Illogico anymore? I've dropped by quite often and haven't seen your name on Recent Changes. Buffalo Insects. Aleister 1:57 6-1-'12
- Hmm, that reminds me... I haven't updated my own awards pages in months. Perhaps I should do that... and as for ?pedia, I've been around, though somewhat dead. Died everywhere in December, and my returns have been stuttery and gradual. Something about staggars, or something. *flaps for effect* ~ 02:02, 6 January 2012
- Good that you're around ?. I finished my "Luck of the Irish" and some other pages, and am doing a stream of concisousness thing about something or other about picking things out of a pile. Good to see you back here and there and everywhere. Aleister 2:05 6-1-'12
- I never said I was back, or around. I'd say I'll have to check those out, but chances are I'll forget, so I'll do the wise thing and not say anything. This is me sitting here not saying anything. Can you tell? Good. ~ 02:07, 6 January 2012

Special:Random and subpages[edit source]
Hey. I've noticed that subpages do come up when clicking on Special:Random, but various namespace articles don't. Is there a way to eliminate the possibility of subpages popping up with this? (I'm assuming this is more a Wikia question, but I figured it doesn't hurt to ask.) Pup 04:29 06 Jan '12
- Subpages is probably a per-namespace setting, though I'd have to look it up to be sure, and the namespaces that don't show up are listed as non-content ones or some such in some list somewhere. Regardless of how exactly it's implemented, though, aye, it'd fall to Wikia to adjust any of that. Nothing on our end for it that I'm aware of, anyway, and even if there were it's the sort of thing they like to disable for users. ~ 04:52, 6 January 2012
- Nevermind - I'm not too fussy about it. Unrelated, could you hack up File:Escher lego hands.png for me please? Pup 04:59 06 Jan '12
- Done, although these things are easier when proper links are used instead of transclusions. ~ 05:03, 6 January 2012
- Wasn't transcluded, as far as I can remember. I have a feeling it was uploaded prior to me creating the page it was going to be used on, and I never got around to finishing it. I think the answer is no, but is there a way I can stretch an image to be 100% of width, as opposed to using px measurements? (I looked at it a while ago and had no luck, but I've been gone a while and you seem to know your way around formatting pages a lot more intensely than I do now.) Pup 05:16 06 Jan '12
- Image link, I mean. Without the :. but no, you can't, because the width is determined on server end and window width on the client end is variable. Could use javascript, though, but that'd probably be kind of excessive. ~ 05:20, 6 January 2012

My pleasure[edit source]
For the UGotY vote, I wrote the "frying pan in the face" score text! :) I would have voted for you on UotY also, but you slashed everything... :( You will have my vote if you change your mind, for sure! Mattsnow 03:08, January 7, 2012 (UTC)

Thingy[edit source]
The flashy thingy on bipolar girl has decided, on its own mind you, to go live on the talk page instead. I tried to lure it back with cookies, and when that didn't work, upped the stake to donuts. But no, no amount of bribe could convince flashy thingy to return. Tempermental gif. Aleister 12:02 Russian Christmas '12

Proles 2012[edit source]
You might want to take a look at Cajek's pee page. I made a new proles page for 2012 but 2011's one isn't hidden like the others. I really have no idea how that those things work. --Black Flamingo 16:03, January 7, 2012 (UTC)
- Okay. ~ 16:53, 7 January 2012
- Proles? Scary admin talk. A request or a begging. Can I have Chuck Berry, a 2011 purge victim, popped into my user drawer. We need a page on Berry, and as I recall it had promise if trimmed well. Thanks. Little Richard, well, yes, little dick if you must know 17:46 russxmas '12
Greetings[edit source]
I have gone through my records and it appears as though I haven't voted for you for some award, supported one or more of your articles on VFH, or supported one or more of your images on VFP, in the past year or so. If this is the case, then it's likely that I am envious of the fact that you are smarter, funnier, and have nicer boobs than me. May you have a long and fruitful life, and have many children. A quick thanks[edit source]
Thanks for taking the time to Pee Review my article, User:Simsilikesims/Yoga. I made some changes to it based on your suggestions. Do you think its ready for mainspace yet, or did I break it? -- Simsilikesims(♀UN) Talk here. 10:41, January 9, 2012 (UTC)
- Aye, should be fine. I made a few changes as well, and it could probably use a bit more, but I certainly don't expect it to be deleted in the state it's in. Sentence structures stuck me as a mite odd, though, strangely repetitive and lyrical, in a way, but not really problematic since the entire thing flows that way. Kind of helps tie it all together, really. Just a little odd. ~ 16:37, 10 January 2012
I'm looking out your computer screen and I see...a genius![edit source]
Thanks almost a thousand for the 900 pic on Bibowler Girl. It is very good, and very funny for some people who might see it (all dozen of them). You have genius in your genes, I reckon. Thanks again. Aleister 00:17 10-1-'12

I know how much you love animate gifs, so...[edit source]
...I've been trying to work something out. wikipedia:Graphics Interchange Format says that it can handle a palette of up to 256 colours per frame. Currently I'm using GIMP to create animated gifs, and that creates a 256 colour palette for the entire image. This means that my animated gifs are losing colour resolution, and I'm trying to avoid it. Do you know of any software that allows creation of gifs where the palette is adjustable on a frame by frame basis? Pup 10:39 11 Jan '12
- Haven't the foggiest, sorry. You might have more luck yelling at the folks making browsers that still don't support pngs, though. ~ 17:13, 11 January 2012

They say That PuppyOnTheRadio has no patience. Personal space granted, as it appears I don't have a choice. So hurry up and move them already. And then let me nom the freaking things! Pup 05:02 12 Jan '12
- The Twilight one is sloppy. And the plant one was basically just fudged at the last minute, though, so I don't even know what shape it might be in, but since that sort of thing is just lost on me, I probably couldn't say even if I were to look at it. >.<
- Grumble, I'll put the plant one back in a jiffy. ~ 05:22, 12 January 2012

- Above Top Secret. It's the "main" website/chat site for lots of things including conspiracy stuff, breaking reports of earthquakes, and lots more. Mucho fun. And I just thought, if wikipedia is going to do the blackout, aren't we kind of obligated to go along, in a more comedic way, as its bizzaro world site? Aleister 5:34 12-1-'12
- Read the forum. I figured that there wasn't much that I could contribute to the discussion, so I haven't. BTW[edit source]
I have always found when giving unsolicited advice or opinion that it helps to always add in somekind of personal disclaimer. Examples would be:
- In my opinion...those images are way too big.
- I find those images really big!
- If I could change one thing, it would be the size of those images.
- I think the text of your article would come across nicer if it wasn't drowned out by the size of those images
- IMHO those are some big ass images.
Or even indirectly without needed a personal disclaimer but through non-judgemental question, suggestions or observation:
- Do you think thats the right size for those images?
- Maybe you should reconsider the size of those pictures.
- My those are big images you have.
In any case...I always find unsolicited advice or opinion is recieved more openly when its done with personal disclaimers or through non-judgemental question, suggestion or obervation.
Congradulations on winning the award. I know it makes you smile. --ShabiDOO 17:53, January 12, 2012 (UTC)
- That isn't just an opinion, mon, but also basic graphic design. Many viewers just don't have big honking monitors that can handle that. ~ 18:15, 12 January 2012
- I use a very small laptop with an 11 inch screen and my smart phone with a 3 and a half inch screen and I can see the images just as I chose to format them. I chose big images for a reason. It is your opinion Lyrithya. I can't remember the last time I've used a big honking moniter. It must be nice. --ShabiDOO 18:39, January 12, 2012 (UTC)
- I wasn't referring to the images, but the text, though if you intended for that text to be an effectively meaningless sprawl squirming in a pathetic attempt to get around the images, then nevermind; the images did exactly as you meant for them to do. ~ 18:50, 12 January 2012
- You must have woken up on some fourth demensional side of the bed today. --ShabiDOO 19:01, January 12, 2012 (UTC)
- Though...I suppose if the beds in four dimensional worlds are like ours, then there would be 16 sides? Or would that be 128 sides? And even then...one would wake up on 4 of our sides at the same time...and even then there would be so many combinations that could be half the right side and half the wrong side or even a quarter...and so...this probably makes no sense at all...and its a silly expression to begin with. --ShabiDOO 19:09, January 12, 2012 (UTC)

I sometimes get validation from Wikipedia, when people think the things I do to this poor site are worth mentioning in their article on it. Happy? Great; I'm happy too. It all works out.

- Validation has its place. Do you mean that you are mentioned by name in our article on wikipedia? Nice. Our page there needs some updating. They say there are two rules of Uncy, when there are three (they miss "Dance like you've never danced before") and that section about no facts is irritating. Lots of us put tons of facts on some of our pages, so the wording in that section is incorrect. It all goes south when the meteorite shower starts and we all have to blame Zeus or some godforsaken God. Aleister 00:27 13-1-'12

On the wikipedia page thing, I just looked at the article on uncy and it has a consistent record of between 450 and 520 views a day, with some days last month in the 700s. This surprises me, and makes me wonder if more people actually look at this site than I thought did. I was under my own impression that almost nobody reads us, because uncy has never received wide media publicity. Interesting numbers on wikipedia. Aleister 1:22 13-1-'12
- We do have a decent readership. There's been a bit of media about us in the past, but we also have a significant web presence. We used to be one of the most viewed wikis around, along with the star trek one (memory alpha). What has dropped off more than views is userbase. A significant number of people I speak to off site have heard of us/visited us/hate us with the but ing passion of the deepest pits of hell. The main reason for that, I surmise, is our tightening of standards. ED's death was due to lack of interest, which came from stupid being valued more highly than funny. Also protecting their right to "free speech" allowing them to host idiotic hate speech. I'm a stickler for trying to keep the quality here high for that very reason. (On a side note, I started a page on Illogicopedia the other day but have since abandoned it. I didn't like the way I was writing there. Pup 02:12 13 Jan '12

Unhappy feelings[edit source]
Are not good. I think you deserve to be happy. You are definitely the UOTY. I'm beginning to think you have false modesty. Please cheer up! You're great. Mattsnow 13:28, January 13, 2012 (UTC)
- *emits an aura of spite* How is selfishness the same as false modesty? Because this is entirely selfish. Now if you'll excuse me, I intend to ignore these unhappy things until they go away. ~ 16:04, 13 January 2012

- If you want...you can throw a heap of insults at me. Or you could ban me? It could get some stress out of you if you do. Ban me for a week and write the most helarius reason why. Make it seriously rediculous :) Make me grovel on IRC to get unblocked...it's a glden opportunity. ;) --ShabiDOO 20:31, January 13, 2012 (UTC)

Thanks for tidying up my article. Looks much better now. I'm rubbish at formatting. mAttlobster. (hello) 15:52, January 14, 2012 (UTC)

Use of the word massacre[edit source]
I thought much the same thing. The reason why I left it as is (other than fixing the spelling) is that it's an emotive word, even if it is technically inaccurate. Also given the character portrayal of the narrator, literary accuracy is not their forte, and using an emotive word in incorrect context has an inherit logic, and that adds to the humour. (I did consider changing the word to homicide, which is also technically inaccurate, but I preferred to leave it as the original editor intended. Yes, I also have multiple copy editors here.) Hi[edit source]
Hi. I'm me. I'm Ancient news on Uncyclopedia. I voted for Zombiebaron to be an op (yeah, I'm that ancient news). He and TFK said to talk to you if I want to come back and start contributing, perhaps by doing some scripting. I know my way around javascript (and most languages) extremely well (more importantly for a mediawiki site, I can use AJAX). If you need some sort of resume, you might know me from such hits as That QVFD script that everyone uses but nobody probably remembers me for except TFK. I also wrote This, a script that displayed the recent changes page but updated in real time, though I understand that was since broken by Wikia. Yeah, crap got deleted in record time in my day.

I was actually looking for someone to do a little scripting to go through articles on UN:VITAL and determine if they firstly had the Category:Vital articles (or is that singular?) on them, and if not, add it. The other thing I want it to come back with is if it has been a feature previously. It should be a straightforward .js script, but my js is a bit rusty, and I'd you're a gun at this you'd probably be able to do it a lot faster. Reckon you could help? Pup 09:19 15 Jan '12
- That sounds like server-side stuff, which requires the use of PHP / the MW API as I recall, which I think requires more access to uncyclopedia's server than I have? I am not sure about wikibots, I never did them although I could look in to them if that's what people want. Javascript is more like... add a tab that you can click to add that category. I could also be misunderstanding you entirely. Also, I seem to have fixed that RC.js script to display recent changes in real time (seems to be working for a few users in IRC). Just as a "look I'm back" kinda deal with nothing else to do. -- Village Idiot♠KUN Free Speech 09:51, January 15, 2012 (UTC)
- You could probably use DPI to generate a list of pages, and then depending on the size of the list either add the categories by hand or with pywikibot. -- The Zombiebaron 09:55, January 15, 2012 (UTC)
- Could also write it in js to basically be a webbrowser, parse the list, visit each site, look at the categories and add if necessary, but I think that script would take FOREVERRRRRR to execute if the list is of the size that it can't reasonably be done by hand. -- Village Idiot♠KUN Free Speech 10:06, January 15, 2012 (UTC)
- Was thinking more parse the list, visit site, etc. It would be a run once, and then just maintain it by hand. Pywikibot might be a better option, but i'm afraid my knowledge of that is only slightly better than my knowledge of 8th century ballads. Pup 10:53 15 Jan '12

- Bizzeebeever above was/is trying to do a rewrite of the qvfd/bp infrastructure to use jquery, if I recall correctly - perhaps you could coordinate with him? This is apparently because I decided to, in a fit of monumental incompetence, take the thing and try to spork it into a tagging system for articles. Said tagging system naturally sucks, however, and is full of problems. And we also won't have that yahoo toolkit much longer anyway. I can feel it in my bones.
- Also, the API is available to most everyone, if you know how to use it.
- Also also, you any good at js for interface elements? ~ 18:09, 15 January 2012
- Lyrithya is right, VI. You should fix her awful tagging system! -- 19:34, January 15, 2012 (UTC)

SOPA thingy[edit source]
Hey. Can we add a template to the site notice that is fixed position relating to the SOPA/PIPA thingy so that we have something pop up in regards to this but still allows people to access the site by dismissing the notification? And if we can, are you able to do it? Pup 08:04 17 Jan '12
- We need a tatochopper and coder to take a lead on this, today I guess. Wikipedia is starting a complete blackout of the site at 00:00 today, for the entire 24 hours. It'll be fun to see what they come up with. At a miniumum we should do a main page template covering the entire page, a reskin, with maybe a spot to click on to enter the site with a funny statement (clicki here to defeat SOPA). One of you guys, Zombiebaron, Mimo (12-year olds blackout the internet), Maniac1075 might have come up with a good template if he ever came around anymore. And the "protest" is getting heavily covered in the media. We voted to follow wikipedia's lead in some way, so that's timelining to 00:00. Viva la innernests. Aleister 12:23 17-1-'12
- p.s. I like Mattlobster's idea of closing down in favor of SOPA, and Chief and others want a whiteout. Maybe a multi-coloured-out in favor of SOPA!
- A rainbow-out? Pup 12:47 17 Jan '12
- Instead of a black out or a white out, one of the geniuses here can come up with a multi-colored out (in favor of SOPA?! lol, Mattlobster may have something there). A reskin like this should be enough fun for choppers to come up with. Sound okay? If so, we have a plan! If not, back to the drawers. Aleister 12:56 17-1-'12
- p.s. And Puppy, is there any way to use the code you used on the storm page to whirl and dissolve the page in seven or eight seconds? The head spins.
- Unfortunately not. That was more potato chopping magic than coding magic, with a bit of playing with format to get it to "fit" multiple resolutions. Pup 01:11 17 Jan '12

Wikia approves, viva la revolutione[edit source]
Sannse left a message on the blackout-whiteout forum saying Wikia is fine (implying approval) with whatever we can do to join in the protest (don't want to put words in her mouth, please check out her statement near the bottom on the page). So you can do your thing as far as you can take it! Aleister 20:17 17-1-'12

SOPA Blackout[edit source]
- Just for prettiness sake, can you protect SOPA and do the thingy to it that has been done with Yahoo so it covers the entire screen. I am still enamoured over how you not only did a fantastic parody of Wikipedia's blackout, you also did it better! Pup 07:25 19 Jan '12
- Zombles, I appreciate the thought, but all I really did was directly copy Wikimedia's and substitute out the content and image. And break the site, though that's slightly beside the point.
- And wow, that Yahoo page looks horrific. So no, I think not - removing site navigation serves only to make the site unnavigable. ~ 20:17, 19 January 2012
- I know! I just got lost in it for over an hour until I remembered where the backspace arrow was! Now that I know how to get out of it, I second Puppy's motion. Aleister 20:22 19-1-'12
- Thought I'd reverted the vandalism on SOPA, but either the thing I did didn't work or I missed it. Glad you caught the little IP, and hopefully squished his bugger for good measure. I left him a note on his talk page after I thought I'd reverted him. A fool and his money are soon parted, that's my motto and it's how I live my life, so if I catch this IP again I will take his money. Aleister 00:42 20-1-'12
- L, not true not true. I worded it right. if you read Joe's forum he had lots of support, and he changed my mind with his arguments and by bringing it to the site's attention. Then, because the forum had been overrun with sections and arguments and multiple votes, I suggested to Joe that we put up another forum for a clean vote, which I then did. The 100 should reflect his historic contribution as well as everyone else's, because it was a good thing. And he should be nommed and unamiously crowned UotM next month, something he's never won! (one of those WTF? he's never won things too) Aleister 2:32 21-1-'12
- Two people is not lots of support. People didn't start taking it seriously until you brought it up, and more so, when Wikipedia actually decided to do their thing. ~ 04:00, 21 January 2012

- Blame WMF. They're dumb and I never got around to fixing their formatting. I'll do it later. ~ 04:00, 21 January 2012
I count 10 people in support of a blackout, an action, or something similar on that forum. But they were so all over the place that we needed a clean forum to actually see the vote. Which is what happened. I was among those ten only after Joe opened my eyes to the seriousness of the issue, and I researched it on ATS. Wikipedia is what gave the push, and then we agreed only after long discussion. But Joe started and drove the thing, and I just did some clean up and definition, with help from Puppy and many others. Anyway, it makes no difference now, as the file sharing sites are going to be going down one by one, and how soon will they get around to us. Aleister 4:18 21-1-'12
- Mon, I appreciate that you want to give everyone a certain amount of wikilove, but I'm going to be blunt, here. This Joe fellow just seems to like starting random petitions, the more big text the better. Sometimes he happens upon actual issues that later turn into something, but given the sheer amount of random crap he puts out, it would be highly improbable for that not to be the case. Unfotunately, that small percentage doesn't help matters anyway, since anything good he may happen to suggest will still just be discarded out of hand with the rest of it; in such matters it tends to take more work to sort through the nonsense than to just start over from scratch. Please don't encourage him; there are far more productive things both he and you could be doing. ~ 04:36, 21 January 2012
- So you do hate him. It was just a rumor, started by your edit summary a while ago and quickly going viral around the world. Ok, if what you say is true, playing along, this time he did good. And doing good is worthy of whatever weight and value that good caused. If you are going to faint praise all the people on the 2012 worse list who made the beu-ti-ful template, then why not let my addition stay like it was and do a nice? Huh? Pretty please with ten-foot tall giant emus on top? And I had no intention of being here off and on so long, have a few things to do and play before coming back. Enjoy the northern light show later today, hopefully. Aleister 4:43 21-1-'12

- Yes he did. For one thing he talked me into learning more and changing my opinion, so whatever I did was initiated by Joe. You do hate him! Do you actually love him? Is it one of those love/hate things? Get a room! And drop whatever you're doing and read my new unnews page, the narcissism one, its so good that I spit up in my mouth just to taste how good it is. And I won't continue this argument, you obviously lohate Joe, but I will nom him for WotM next month. You can't erase that one from the page (or can you??????) Aleister 4:56 21-1-'12

- I'm curious to see what happens with megaupload.com. None of the reports I have seen so far have shown what the charges are and under what law/laws. From my understanding the smoking gun is internal emails that show that they supposedly encouraged uploading illegal materials. Megavideo, videobb, putlocker, sockshare, zideozer, and a bunch of others don't appear to have stopped or even slowed their activities. Pup 04:24 21 Jan '12

Admining and stuff[edit source]
Lyrithya, when you drop by someones talk page and tell them your opinion as though its fact, arbitrarily make up policy, label whatever you want as spam and insinuate that a user is doing things that are disrespectful, it would probably be, at the very least, considerate to read their reply no matter how long winded it is. Even worse, would be replying in some off handed passive agressive dismisive way in a "anyways, whatever, I'm to cool to care, your view doesn't matter" tone. How can you treat any user like that, especially over something as innocent as trying to promote a conest? Is that the behaviour of an admin? I'm hoping to get members of the community I respect to participate in a fun competition, and you turn it into yet another piece of condescending Lyrithya knows best nonsense (of course, in my humble opinion). What gives Lyrithya? --ShabiDOO 23:16, January 24, 2012 (UTC)

This is odd
It works still as a second level header in relationship to the creation of the target link, but it doesn't have the edit button on it. Pup 01:04 25 Jan '12
- It also won't allow you to do a section edit by changing the section number in the URL Such as http:/en.uncyclopedia.co/w/index.php?title=User_talk:Lyrithya&action=edit§ion=98. It can help create non section tags for content like this (if you see what I mean). This is really odd, and allows for a cute little hack if ever one is needed. Pup 01:14 25 Jan '12
- Mediawiki handles its sections internally by parsing blah blah blah good gods why am I still awake? ~ 01:24, 25 January 2012

VFH[edit source]
Ain't gonna tell you how to do yer job, especially since everyone else including me ain't bothering to do it, but I will lend you some pointers for dealing with a shitty, low-health VFH in the form of this page of things that I do on that occasion. Most of it boils down to "feature every other day," which is a thing we really ought to do a lot more in general. -- 14:14, January 26, 2012 (UTC)
- And how does that help? Most things only get a score of 11 or so no matter how we leave them and there certainly aren't enough that get around 13 or so to do much good; either we wind up choosing between a bunch of things with the same score and not featuring some of them at random or we might as well feature them all, no? ~ 14:53, 26 January 2012
- All the good ones all get featured eventually anyway, more or less, but the issue is that we can't just let VFH drop down to 10 articles with the highest score being 8 or 9. Yeah, all articles 11+ end up getting featured, but if we burn through all of them with single-day featuring then the scores drop quicker and quicker when we can't find enough nominations to take their place, especially when it takes nearly 20 days to reach a score of 11 in the first place. Articles don't grow on trees, so when VFH is slow we should play it slow. --
- And this is slow? ~ 15:39, 26 January 2012
- Very. 10 should be the average votes per article; it's been since Skully implemented the health tracking system, and it's steadily maintained that health when I was featuring every other day. Now it's at 7.75, and that's with only 18 nominations. Slow down. --
- Are you sure? Seeing as I just removed 6ish articles, a low total is to be expected - that happens every time someone removes some. Add to that that we aren't going to be featuring any new articles in a couple days, it seems especially prudent to indeed feature the usual new ones around now even if this is slower than usual. ~ 15:57, 26 January 2012
- Good point. I made those posts during the influence of tons of vomit and ramen, so my bad for gettin' hasty. Still, 16 articles and 7.75 seemed pretty dire at the time. --
- O_o
- Well, all voting has been somewhat dire of late. Perhaps we're just all doomed. We could always resort to the featured article of the randomly indiscriminate time period... ~ 18:51, 28 January 2012
