I nicked myself this while shaving, and thought it was to be more a fresh start than a fork. Only the next day did I realise my old userid was around. But like wikimedia to wikia, I like to keep my wikIDs distinct within families. I don't know what the official procedure for archiving the id that forked over here would be. WP prefix[edit source]

Other than WP:HOTCAT, and a small handful of shortcuts, are there any articles that you're aware of that had the WP: prefix? Nominally Humane! 10:52 18 Feb

On another wiki I recently dragged a bundle of stuff that was titled [[WPsomething]] to [[IWPsomething]] (with a little help). I included items that weren't directly affected as well (including WP Hot Chicks). I'm about to go through and VFD a bundle of these, as they were predominantly shortcuts, and the only one with content appears to have been created to remove a redlink that (now) only exists in a Fnoodle list. If you want any of them you'll either need to grab them now, or have someone with admin access grab them after they've been deleted (assuming that they are - I can never predict VFD results). Hi Lyrithya, I wondered if you or one of the admins would be so kind as to make cy: point to http://cy.uncyclopedia.org.uk/. I realise you were opposed to there being interwikis to Welsh Uncyclopedia but I can't see why. There are about 56 articles on it, it's got one active administrator and two semi-active ones, and sco: hasn't been disabled and the Scots wiki has only seven pages including a redirect and the Main Page. If your concern is spambots, there's a Captcha filter on external links and I can always revert or block spammy editors if they repeatedly cause trouble. Please consider readding the :cy: shortcut. Another working shortcut, dlm:, points to a wiki with only 7 articles. Just don't want you to think I'm singling out Scots. I could probably find more such wikis if I looked hard enough, and there are undoubtedly more broken shortcuts that are worth restoring. I'm just concerned with Welsh for the most part. I don't know what's going on anymore, although chances are the inconsistency you noticed had more to do with what people complained about at the time than anything else. I just wanted to boot all the small and apparently inactive ones out of the listing because for some reason some folks seem to like accumulating dead projects, but that you're here now asking this would have beeen enough to show yours as probably active even in that system. Whoops.

I have been unable to connect to the Internet using my usual computer for the past three days; I'm assuming that it's an issue with this place's router, as my computer worked last week and nothing has changed on my end; they say they're investigating. Anyway, I'm gonna bring a Knoppix boot disc and a different wireless card tomorrow, and should be able to connect then. In the meantime, I'm using one of the public Win 7 boxes, and I have to say that IE 10 does not suck anywhere near as badly as IE 8. CTRL+L even works right! ~ BB ~ (T) ~ Wed, May 15 '13 0:46 (UTC)

Yeah, it seemed to sort itself out. Another problem's come up though. On the front page, the title for the featured article and "yesterday's" feature article aren't showing up. Thanks. And yeah, looks like we've had a few updates - it's possible that functionality just doesn't work anymore in DPL, and DPL is just not something we can fix. Fortunately this is a relatively minor issue and we can ignore it, though should more significant arise in the future we may just have to write an entirely new extension to deal with the problem.

Although in this case it's also possible that something just got borked in one of the templates, but someone else can try debugging that if they want. I didn't find anything. -— Lyrithya ༆ 16:42, 7 July 2013 (UTC)

Aatually, now that I think about it, we may be able to use lua for a lot of this sort of thing instead. Replace DPL calls with lua thingies? Not that anyone here knows how to use lua. I sure don't. Mitten toes[edit source]

I'm really sad to report...Lyrithya that something aweful as happened. You may want to sit down. Or get a hot mug of tea and clear your schedule for the day. Mitten Toes...the leader of our army of squirrels...passed away this morning in the charity hospital near downtown. He was run over by a smart car and his corpse was discovered by two young boys who experimented with his flattened body before telling their mothers. The police came and dumped him off at the charity hospital. He was still sort of breathing and whispered out one last phrase of inspiration for us all: remember...always remember. Of course I will remember. And of course you will also remember Lyrithya. We won't forget. This is for sure. I've decided that you are capable of chosing a new leader...as I am pretty busy this week...you always pick the best ones. We should have lunch next time we are in Borneo.

I really thought that forum existed. I even edited it. I know I've received slightly busted links in emails - for example, it's tried to tell me about a change to Vandalism/example on wheels! by giving me the URL http://en.uncyclopedia.co/wiki/Vandalism/example_on_wheels (with an exclamation mark at the end that wasn't incorporated into the link). Yeah, the '...' is getting chopped off the end of the link for some reason - probably because mediawiki core emails are sent in plaintext and your client is trying to be smart and separating punctuation from links - the forum is at Forum:Zombiebaron's mom... but the link is sending you to Forum:Zombiebaron's mom. I...think you might want to talk to Zombiebaron or somebody about this. He told me on irc that Bizzeebeever was abusing his sysadmin powers and there was no vote for him to get them and this is why they needed to be removed. Bizzeebeever is a sysadmin and a developer, and often needs those rights in order to properly test/fix things. He'd been using not having it as an excuse to not fix things.

Doesn't fit, I'm afraid. Part of the reason I was redoing them was to establish something of a common visual identity for the projects, such that any logo could be recognised as one of the pile even if one hadn't seen the specific one before.
