You know the Template:Infobox Company you created? What's the purpose of the Image Map field? I'm currently using it on one of the pages I contribute to, but I can't for the life of me figure out what to put there. Wolf ODonnell 13:41, 24 January 2009 (UTC)

Schleswig-Holsten-Pils-Question[edit source]
Thanks !?!? for your interest in the Schleswig-Holsten-Pils-Question. I did say it was a work in progress so where is the 'confusion' as such. Never heard of this question ?? or should I stick linking everything to Sonic the Hedgehog instead. Hmmmmm !!--Romartus 21:08, 19 February 2009 (UTC)
- It wasn't intended as a criticism. I'm kind of a history buff and I actually thought the article was pretty funny. I added the {{AOC}} template because its not exactly a commonly known topic. You can remove it if you'd like although you should generally link something, such as {{wikipedia}}, so people won't get confused (or nominate it on VFD in a worst case scenario). image hack-ups[edit source]
I believe some of the images that you restored were deleted because they were porn images that served little function. (Well, some of those were more "political" deletions, I believe that "cream girl" pic was deleted parly because it was uploaded by a 12 year old, we have worse.) --Mn-z 04:51, 2 July 2009 (UTC)
- Do you know which ones specifically? I always try to remove the links to deleted shock/pr0n images. Sometimes non-mainspace images show up on Special:Unusedfiles and get deleted as unused files which is usually the only time I undelete images. MadMax 13:43, 2 July 2009 (UTC)
- According to the deletion log, it was deleted as an unused image. I can remove it from Cream, but I generally don't like deleting images from userpages. MadMax 17:33, 2 July 2009 (UTC)
- Its not the worst pic we have, and I can live with it. I think it was deleted after a 12 year-old spammed it in a template in several articles. --Mn-z 17:39, 2 July 2009 (UTC)

Hey Max. Thanks for the edit on my Etowah Cunty article :) It's my first article so I'm not really experienced. Not sure how you changed the Category, but it's much appreciated. It got tagged with ICU about an hour into it, but I wasn't finished with it until 4-5 hours later -.- Lol. I assume it was okay to remove the ICU tag? From what I gathered it was alright to remove the ICU tag when you thought the article was finished and had enough content. - Razgriz4977 01:25, 3 July 2009 (UTC)
- Sure no problem. I think it looks alright to remove the ICU now. In future, you might want to use the {{construction}} when working on an article fora long period of time. When your finished, you could put it up for pee review for a second opinion. Happy editing. :) MadMax 14:34, 3 July 2009 (UTC)
Hi MadMax[edit source]
Thanks for being such a help in my first week, and for the compliment too! The Bristol Stool Chart isn't actually as high on my priority as it might seem, but thanks for the resources, it's a good start. Do you have any work you would like help/input on? I think the Haneke page will keep me occupied for a while, but I'm keen on adding to/editing/aiding with other pages while I'm still learning, it's all good. --El Sid
- Well there's always plenty of things to do. :) I usually work on Category:Uncyclopedia maintenance and Special:SpecialPages which can definatly help you learn formatting if nothing else. There's also Gwax's timeline project which could use some help. I was really impressed with your list (very ambitious!) and I'm glad to see somebody interested in taking on some of these topics. You'd be surprised what articles still have yet to be created on Uncyclopedia. MadMax 15:01, 5 July 2009 (UTC)

Stop adding that one and start adding {{User:Uncyclopedian/Template:TYATU}}. The links may be broken now, but it's been updated to contain links to all of the subpages from the original mainspaced version, whereas High Gen. Bradford Riots - Changes[edit source]
Hi Madmax,
I've been looking at the Bradford Riots article, I've noticed 2 issues, one the commonwealth games link is broken, to be honest the joke would be funnier if you said the previous riot was over cricket as that is a game played by all 3 main communities in Bradford - http://en.uncyclopedia.co/wiki/Cricket
Also you've changed Pakistan to Indian, locally this would be as, if not far more offensive as the Indian community was not involved in the real incident, it would be better to leave it simply as Bradford, or maybe change it to something vague like 'The Middle East'
Cheers... – Preceding unsigned comment added by Degeneration (talk • contribs)
- Actually I reverted previous IP vandalism rather than making new material to the article. I protected the article because this type of vandalism has been ongoing and will very likely turn up on VFD in the near future. If you'd like to make your own version in your userspace (User:Degeneration/Bradford Riots) I'd be glad to replace it with the current version. MadMax 18:38, 11 July 2009 (UTC)

Regarding It's a trap redirect[edit source]
You redirected It's a trap to The Men in Blood-Stained Overcoats Who Stay Out of Sight, Waiting For Just the Right Moment.
Logically, the redirect should point to Admiral Ackbar, since that is the origin of the "It's a trap" meme. For comparison, Wikipedia already has a redirect from "It's a trap" to Admiral Ackbar. Is it okay if I go ahead and change this? Or do you have some special reason for this particular redirect target? In that case, might a disambig be possible? --Pentium5dot1 (semi-retired) t~^_^~c 06:45, 22 July 2009 (UTC)
- Nope. Go right ahead. MadMax 06:46, 22 July 2009 (UTC)
Uncyclopedia:Requested Articles[edit source]
Whelp... Thats a lot of stuff added. A while back, I had brought it up on the forums to clean that page up, and got the go ahead from Rc, and a few others. So, I hacked that baby up. Personally, I think the list is a bit long, and people aren't likely to look at a lot of the stuff on there. What do you think? Woody On Fire! Talking Woody Stalking Woody 16:20, 24 July 2009 (UTC)
- Its great to see someone finally cleaned up the page but there was a lot of good stuff removed in the process. There were a few sections that were litterally gutted. I didn't add everything back of course, there was some stuff that was never going to be created, but there were a lot of legitimate requests on that page before the cleanup. I can go through and remove some of the more non-essensial stuff but generally the unwritten rule of the page was to avoid removing legitimate requests. MadMax 16:27, 24 July 2009 (UTC)
- Sounds good. I probably got over excited, and started shooting off my deleter without warning. I brought this up, not because I don't trust your judgement (Obviously. You're Mad "Mad" Max). I just wanted you to know there had been some talk about it. Whatever, I'm having enough trouble formulating sentences today. Carry on with your usual hijinx. Woody On Fire! Talking Woody Stalking Woody 16:46, 24 July 2009 (UTC)
- Don't worry about it. :) I did think the list was getting pretty long myself which is why I moved the templates to a subpage. You do bring up a very good point though. The list will start to become crowded eventually, even with legitimate requests. Maybe requests left over after a year or so could be moved to a larger subpage. Something like UnBooks:1000 Uncyclopedians Typing Hamlet perhaps?
- What do you think of a userpage award for articles created from requested articles? It might be worth bringing up at Der Unwehr. Anyway, feel free to remove anything you really feel doesn't belong. I'll probably do some trimming myself today. MadMax 17:01, 24 July 2009 (UTC)
- I think the real problem is that no one really goes to that page to look for them. The page has gotten stagnant. The same old ones are just sitting around on there for ages, and not enough good new ones come in. Taking it to Der Unwehr might be a good idea, but right now they are worried about rewriting instead of adding new pages. I think we should see what Guildy says. If not, yet another usergroup may have to be made, in order to get more people coming to the page to take a look at the requests. But I'm not a huge fan of usergroups myself. Woody On Fire! Talking Woody Stalking Woody 17:21, 24 July 2009 (UTC)
- I did mention the idea of an UN:IC/Der Unwehr collaberation to create new articles a few weeks ago. As I understand it, UN:IC takes a month for their collaberations. Maybe its possible the two groups could collaberate once every six months or a year? Hmm...we could try to get the page listed under the navigation or community sections. Some exposure on the main page might just be the thing. MadMax 17:55, 24 July 2009 (UTC)
- Well if you bring it to the community in the forums, expect downvotes and Forum BS. But I agree. Exposure is probably the most important thing for it right now. Woody On Fire! Talking Woody Stalking Woody 18:13, 24 July 2009 (UTC)
- I'll ask around and see if anyone has any ideas. In the meantime, I've created a test template. MadMax 18:29, 24 July 2009 (UTC)
Lucky Charms[edit source]
How do you like my new Lucky Charms article that you just protected? Is it magically delicious? It's supposed to be a spoof of a wizard did it, but...--
- Actually, it was Lucky charms (a redirect) that I protected. Its been created quite a few times so it was great to finally link it to something. I did like the article by the way (nice picture!). Did you want the article protected? MadMax 21:06, 25 July 2009 (UTC)
- Yes, but I think it still needs some small cosmetic changes before only Sysops can edit it...I'm not sure.--
- Okay, protect it now if you want. See what other sysops think about it, though. This might get deleted, being very similar to A wizard did it.--
- I don't know, I thought it was pretty funny. :) MadMax 21:32, 25 July 2009 (UTC)
- Hey, do you think it's VFH material?--
- Well, one-liners usually are rarely featured. You also have to consider that there's a lot of similar articles too. If you're interested in trying to get it featured I'd think the key would be to show how this particular version is set apart from the others. You could put it up for Pee Review for some suggestions. On the other side of the coin you have say Michael Clarke Duncan, which survived two VFD attempts, so I think that its safe from VFD at least. MadMax

PETA article[edit source]
I bet you're busy, but I've really been trying to fix the PETA article, which was stupid not funny. I tried to make it funny and stupid. Here's the changes -- http://en.uncyclopedia.co/w/index.php?title=PETA&diff=4019191&oldid=3893105 Any suggestions? Miley Spears 04:48, 31 July 2009 (UTC)
- Hmm..this has really gone downhill I last saw it. Usually, I'd suggest reverting to a better version and starting from there but that's kind of tough when an article has a long history like this one. I've looked through some of the history and there's some more or less decent versions, here, here and here for example. While not great, there's still some salvagable material there. I'll go through the history more closely and salvage some of the better material and incorporate it with you own. MadMax 05:02, 31 July 2009 (UTC)
You know, now that I think about it, there's actually two other articles on PETA (PETA (group) and People Eating Tasty Animals). It might be better just to merge whatever's there to either one of those articles. MadMax 05:18, 31 July 2009 (UTC)
- I think People Eating Tasty Animals is funny but I don't know if it will merge it's totally different humor. Really I don't think PETA (group) is funny but that's just my opinion. Miley Spears 02:50, 1 August 2009 (UTC)
- I reverted the article to its original version with some slight reformatting. I could then move the article to PETA Homepage or something like that. What do you think ? MadMax 05:34, 31 July 2009 (UTC)
- When I read this I thought you meant you reverted it back to the beginning! Really I like the way it is now thanks for your changes. Of course I know it won't stay that way! Miley Spears 02:50, 1 August 2009 (UTC)
Oh no, I reverted it a second after posting that version. You're work is still safe and sound. :) I could protect the page for you if you think there's still a vandalism problem? MadMax 03:00, 1 August 2009 (UTC)

Hmm..well its kind of a tricky situation. There's ususally a little more leeway when it comes to user pages, although even using the image in an article (as long as it was in-context) would also be acceptable. There's been similar discussions over images, here for example, so its difficult to delete one image when there's plenty of others which are just as bad/good (at least, that's how I've always understood it). I'll ask User:Mordillo and see what he thinks but if you really have an issue with it, you could nominate it on VFD. MadMax 08:01, 8 August 2009 (UTC)

Don't I Deserve a Ban Pretty Please?[edit source]
I've been here 28 days now (if you don't count my first day), and I haven't been banned yet. Am I doing something wrong? I really think I deserve to be banned. I was in the Imperial Colonization project that rewrote the already featured article on God, and I unstubbed the Catsup article based on my own edits, and created Brooke Shields and Ricardo Montalbán even though both articles had previously been huffed, was nominated twice for Noob of the Month even though I don't qualify (I was here one day, then gone for a month and half, then came back 28 days ago so if you don't count the first day I've been here for four weeks), named myself a Member of the Order of Uncyclopedia, and right now I'm typing while topless. And I'm annoying you with this stupid request. If I don't deserve a ban, who does? So, can you ban me, please? Template Idea[edit source]
Would anyone care if I added this template to those templates that have been deleted on VFD and restored for archival purposes? (And if you wondering, yes I know it would need to go inside a "noinclude" tag). I do believe the consensus is not to use archival templates, and I think this would help in making that clear to new users. --Mn-z 05:44, 28 August 2009 (UTC)
- Sure, that's a great idea. I've been using the {{archive}} template up until now but that works a lot better. MadMax 05:46, 28 August 2009 (UTC)
- I found this template, which is now used in only 1 forum post. I would normally put it on QVFD, but I'd figure you'd just restore it for archival purposes. So to take out the middle man, I went ahead and put the "don't use in mainspace" template on it. --Mn-z 06:48, 28 August 2009 (UTC)
- I usually try and remove red linked templates/images when I can but forums are almost always closed to editing. MadMax 06:54, 28 August 2009 (UTC)
- Mnb, how exactly do you know which template was ostracized? Also, isn't it supposded to be "damned" from mainspace? ~ 11:03, 30 August 2009 (UTC)
- They are ones that have been deleted, either via VFD or because there were unused, and restored because of archival use in forum posts or in userspace. I believe Madmax is the restorer of almost of those. The only exceptions are the {{crap}} template, which was userspace only per its instructions, and {{IBSAW}}, which I went ahead and added the template instead of going through the process of QVFDing it, having an admin delete it, then having Madmax restore it due to its archival use, and then adding the template after its restoration. As four the spelling, it appears your write. --Mn-z 20:24, 30 August 2009 (UTC)

I just discovered something weird. When I did a search for bee, all I found with bee in the title was Bear Bee, Bee, Bee Gees, and Sun Bee. But I just found a link to an article called Flaming Bee. I have no idea why it didn't come up in a search. Do you? I wasn't trying to rip someone else off here. My article Sun Bee is a rip off of the 1975 movie Bug, where cockroaches from the center of the Earth have rear antennae they rub together to start fires. What should I do? Why do I need to provide this? 18:13, September 3, 2009 (UTC)
- I think words 3 letters or shorter are often not found by the search engine, or at least they didn't used to be. The servers probably haven't updated their databases yet for the search engine. Or, it could be an old article that the servers haven't rechecked. --Mn-z 18:28, September 3, 2009 (UTC)

My stupid user name[edit source]
When I signed up here a few days ago, I tried some user names I liked that didn't work (somebody already had them, I guess), and at some point got the message 'Why do I need to provide this?' So I typed that in as my user name, and it worked. The problem is, it's long and nobody will remember it. I can't even remember it--I keep trying to sign in as 'Why do I have to provide this?' Is there some way I can change it, like make up a shorter user name then move my edit record over? I wouldn't care about completely starting over, but I wrote the Sun Bee article and somehow I got nominated for Noob of the Month (that's before I started the article). I still don't know why I got nominated. In any case, can I move my stuff to a new user name? Sorry for the hassle. Why do I need to provide this? 05:47, September 6, 2009 (UTC)

Brooke Shields is Where?[edit source]
Seeing as how Miley Spears is the one who welcomed me here, I thought I'd point this out. On the front page, it lists recently featured articles. Brooke Shields isn't listed. Can this be fixed? Why do I need to provide this? 13:28, September 6, 2009 (UTC)
- Automated process, it's removed after a couple of days. Also, this is not my talk page. ~ 13:55, September 6, 2009 (UTC)
- I know it's removed from feature or yesterday's feature, but I mean from the list of recently featured articles. It looks like the recently featured section lists articles that were up a week or more ago, and not the most recent ones which aren't on the list. Why do I need to provide this? 04:44, September 7, 2009 (UTC)
- I haven't figured out why, but if you look at Uncyclopedia:VFH/Featured, it stopped at September 2nd. And Template:Recently_featured seems to be treating the article on top of that list as the current feature, and listing the articles in positions 2-7 as previous features... even though it's supposed to list 12 articles? Cyberbullying or Not?-Reply[edit source]
hi, i'm new to uncyclopedia, i wrote this article this and you huffed it.
I'd like to point out, as i did in it's discussion page that this is not just an article about a teacher that the rule was framed for. The person in question is a celebrity due to her obnoxiousness and her compulsive pathological need for attention and power. Could you please let the article stay online for a few days and see how many people visit/like it? This is far from just bad hate speech.
Also, please go through the article to see the kind of effort that went through for the creation of the article.
I understand that the context may not be of global interest, but it is of the interest of a large demographic section and i think even other people would appreciate the humour.
- While I understand you put a lot of effort into writing this article, a lot of what you wrote was way out of line as far as satire goes. Even well-written satire about "regular" people can be deleted as vanity. I'm not going to give a lecture on "the evils of cyberbullying", although we seem to have a difference of opinion on what that constitutes, but that's not what Uncyclopedia is about. Personally, I have zero tolerance for cyberbullying in any form and I delete such articles on sight. I'd suggest you re-read Uncyclopedia's cyberbullying policies. MadMax 05:34, October 22, 2009 (UTC)
- This is excellent. All I have to do is be obnoxious and compulsively pathological and I'll be elevated to celebrity status. I may even get onto Hey Hey it's Saturday, or David Letterman. And the best part is that I'm already halfway there. all I need to do is find out what "compulsively pathological" is, rather than two adjectives that essentially mean the same thing and effectively say that whatever this person does, they do it consistently, and I'll be sorted! Pup
Smog[edit source]
I came across this the other day and according to its history, the page was protected right after creation. I am a little confused as to why this article is locked, though I'm slightly less so after checking its logs and seeing that it was once deleted (and was once, presumably, a crap page). My question is whether it's necessary for the article to remain under protection, seeing as how the deleted version was vaped in 2006. --Andorin Kato 02:36, October 25, 2009 (UTC)
- Its one of those one-joke articles (e.g. Gullible, Fisher Price, A wizard did it, etc.) that doesn't really need to be edited. These types of articles are usually protected since they tend to attract vandalism. MadMax 04:38, October 25, 2009 (UTC)

MadMax i appreciate what you did when u edited my page but i want to leave things in which you took out so i had to undo your work (sorry for that) but i want to edit it the same way you did but leave everything as it is, but i dont know how. I wanted to do this originally but i did'nt know how and i still don't. Could you please help me out Thanks Seányg
- Sure, I'll see what I can do. The main problem though is that the images are "hotlinked", meaning the images are linked to a website rather than on Uncyclopedia, and they're taking up a lot of room. Is is possible you could upload them yourself? MadMax 02:12, December 20, 2009 (UTC)
Thanks for your reply.Im afraid i cant because i just took them from the internet and have no way of printing them off to upload them myself. Could you do what you can to help me please and i'll go with that. I may add a picture or something but if i cant i'll stick with your editing. Thanks Seányg
- Ok, I've fixed the images for you. Let me know if there's anything else you need. MadMax 01:02, December 24, 2009 (UTC)
FYI[edit source]
I awarded Necropaxx for creating a requested article. Technically, both of his names for the article were slightly different (it was requested as UnBooks:How to go fishing, and his was HowTo:Fish then changed to UnBooks:Gone Fishing), but close enough, right? - That's great thanks. I've been having trouble signing on and haven't been able to keep up with it. When you do award users though, could you update the stat page? MadMax 02:16, December 20, 2009 (UTC)
- Will check that right now--if no one's already done it, I will done do it. King of the Internet Alden Loveshade??? (royal court) 21:50, December 21, 2009 (UTC)
- Brainfade! I forgot I had notified Necropaxx about it, and knew he already took care of it. D'oh! King of the Internet Alden Loveshade??? (royal court) 21:54, December 21, 2009 (UTC)
Bad Nigger Attitude[edit source]
Dude! After completing the Mike Tyson article to my own satisfaction, I was bound to write next article. All my life I had some African American-European friends. But none of them had BNA disorder. I tried to make this funny and ironic, but don't want to offend any anti-bigot-bigots. You you take a look and tell me, "Is it safe? Is it safe? Bzzzzzzzzzz, Is it fucking safe!??" Thanks. Your opinion means a ton to me.--Funnybony 20:39, December 15, 2009 (UTC)
- Hmm...well when you're writing about a potentially controversal subject you should probably get some feedback (e.g. Pee Review) before you present a "finished" version. Is it safe? As with really any other topic, I think there's always someone whose going to find it offensive. There's plenty of articles like that on Uncyclopedia, Asperger Syndrome and Holocaust Tycoon comes to mind, but if its legitimately funny (or at least a genuine attempt at satire) than you probably shouldn't worry too much about it being "offensive". Mike Tyson[edit source]
Dude! The idea was to have the facts listed, followed by "Unfortunately" or "Fortunately" only - to let the reader ponder WHY the fact is called fortunate or unfortunate. But some other writer added shit to each one and spoiled it. I don't have the power to revert (or do I?). Please do what you feel is best. You're the expert. I mean, the Nobel Prize is kinda like, almost, Uncyclopedian of the Year! Fucking awesome!!!--Funnybony 22:35, December 15, 2009 (UTC)
- The author (well really anybody) usually reseves the right to revert unfunny changes so no problem there. You could ask an admin to protect the page from editing by new users and IPs until you're finished. Thanks for the kind words by the way though I'm definately not an expert humor-wise. :) MadMax 03:57, December 20, 2009 (UTC)
Template:Toasty[edit source]
Its transcluded nowhere and the only link to it is its vfd nom. --Mn-z 04:31, December 20, 2009 (UTC)
- Sorry, I thought it was being used on the Forum. MadMax 04:32, December 20, 2009 (UTC)
- It was, but I decided to be italic and do a code sub. --Mn-z 04:41, December 20, 2009 (UTC)
- Ah, I see. MadMax 04:58, December 20, 2009 (UTC)
Star of David[edit source]
Thanks for the thumbs up template. The article was actually created by Palewillow or some such name, and he left it as a stub but with the intersting idea laid out, but it was on the huff list. So I built on the bones and put the meat on it. It's a fun one to play with. Aleister in Chains 03:36, December 24, 2009 (UTC)
