Holding Pages
I haven't checked how you are doing with Lindsay Lohan but I did come across Snoop Dogg which it total crap. It occurred to me before when working on the Amy Winehouse article to cut out the stupid abuse that often perhaps there should be a 'basic' article in the space. i.e some text and a few photos. These would be stubs to start off but perhaps they will attract people to improve them. My own view that when a user creates an article and starts off with a rubbish Star Wars/Pokemon theme - the usual junk - it discourages others to improve it as the article would have to be scrapped and started over again. Would be interested in what you think and - Merry Christmas BTW! . --RomArtus*Imperator ® (Orate) 11:46, December 24, 2011 (UTC)

Thank God it's Friday
What do you think? Feature worthy yet? Pup 10:20 25 Dec '11
- Is it a good article? Definitely. Does it have that extra edge that makes it featureworthy? I dunno. I'd say it's worth a shot, though. 11:07, 25 December 2011

The Emo's Guide to Failure
As one Jewish taxidermist said to the other when he realized they'd mounted a moose buttocks, "Vell, I tink we stahted wit da wrong end!" Should I have made my "keep" vote the beginning of the article, and gone from there, instead of the way I actually did it? After some sleep, the ending feels sorta blatantly obvious. Too obvious. Also, if you've got any advice, I'm all ears. ~ Tue, Jan 3 '12 18:37 (UTC)

A belated thank-you from an inveterate procrastinator
Greetings, Sockpuppet of an unregistered user. You voted for me on POTM for November, and also for Mexico lol.jpg on VFP, and for me on UOTM for December, and holey freaking cow, you also voted for UnNews:Son_of_Gaddafi_caught_attempting_to_enter_Canada on VFH. Now, obviously it's been a while since this happened. However, I figured that, while it can be too late to ask for forgiveness, it is never too late to give thanks.
(Also, it's quite clear you're fond of me. But I have to say...we should probably let our romance cool off for a while. People are starting to talk.)
Once again, thank you, and my apologies for not thanking you sooner. This impersonal, auto-generated message will self-destruct in 5 seconds. ~ Wed, Jan 4 '12 11:39 (UTC)
- Ah, thanks for blowing me away with such an exuberant giving of thanks. I'll make sure to put myself back together to do other things you can thank me for later on. ; ) 16:30, 4 January 2012
Greetings
I have gone through my records and it appears as though you may have voted for me for some award, supported one or more of my articles on VFH, or supported one or more of my images on VFP, in the past year or so. If this is not the case, then please ignore this message. Otherwise, thank you for your support. May you have a long and fruitful life, and have many parasites. ~ 18:57, 6 January 2012

Re: Redirects
So, Socky, my pal, I never did get to learn how to categorize redirects. So could you please teach me HOW to categorize redirects, kind sir?
I SWEAR THAT I WON'T ABUSE THIS PRIVILEGE.
-Sir Matthew Philip Matthlock, Attorney at Law LLC, 1-800-MTT-HLCK (Give me a call!) 01:23, January 7, 2012 (UTC)
- What's the point? It's easily doable, but a redirect is there for technical purposes only. They're supposed to be a content-less page. The categorisation should go on the article redirected to. Pup 03:19 07 Jan '12
- What he said, for the most part. Redirects generally don't need to be categorized. A possible exception might be redirects that belong to Category:Redirects with possibilities, Category:Uncyclopedia category redirects and/or Category:Redirects from abbreviation. If you want to add one of these categories to a redirect, all you need to do is edit the redirect page directly and add the category. 04:17, 7 January 2012
- I didn't even realise we had a Category:Redirects from abbreviation. That seems to be a fairly pointless cat, IMHO. Pup 04:56 07 Jan '12
- Possibly, but we're Uncyclopedia after all.
- I have now redirected Sir Matthlock's user page to Category:People who didn't fuck your mom in the kitchen last night. That should answer the question. Regards, Aleister 12:48 Russian Christmas '12

Winter
I just left Leuven today ... my god this year was the warmest winter ever! And did you notice that train conductors are friendly these days? Oh...and did you know that you have the first gay prime minister since the Roman Ages? So many changes in a confusing globalizing world! If only Jesus was here to explain it all to us. --ShabiDOO 03:40, January 8, 2012 (UTC)
- Don't worry, there are still a few unfriendly train conductors left. The world isn't totally screwed up just yet. 12:42, 8 January 2012
I have found...
...a few shiftless articles which were cast into the world and abandoned, and which are now ICU'd and in danger of being shuffled off this mortal coil with no due process:
Zork: The Opera, My Dog Has Fleas and Bathtub are short, and have a few spelling errors and pimples of stupidity, but I think they're potentially brilliant and should be saved. Diatribe was a 2006 PLS entry, although I'm not sure about its quality, now that I've read it a second time. All of these articles have one particular failing in common: they lack images.
Is there any chance you could hook them up with some images, and maybe add a bit of prose to them? I'll do the grammar and stupidity-excisions. It's just that I'm up to my neck in unfinished articles right now, and looking for/creating images is a huge time suck when you've got 56.6 kbps internet service. ~ Sun, Jan 8 '12 14:36 (UTC)
- I see what you mean, as I have quite a pile of unfinished articles as well. Regardless of which, I'll see what I can do to help out with the articles you mentioned. 19:39, 8 January 2012
Herro.
Sorry to bug you yet again, but it's getting tiresome applying VFDs manually, so I thought I'd debug the issue with Lyr's tags.js. I was wondering if you could point me to some more instances of this happening (you know, content disappearing because of a bug in the script). Thank ye. ~ Wed, Jan 11 '12 14:11 (UTC)
- Sure, I could go through Romartus' contributions and find a couple other examples. How'd that help, though? 15:06, 11 January 2012
- Here are a couple: [1], [2], [3], [4], [5]. 15:22, 11 January 2012
- Lookin' for a pattern. ~ Wed, Jan 11 '12 15:24 (UTC)
- Well, the pattern seems to be that pages with an amount of bytes exceeding a particular limit lose a portion of their content. Also, it might be something browser-specific.
- Those pages were truncated to the following character lengths:
4116
4151
4113
4110
4111
4111
Looks like a pattern to me. Thanks for the links! Oh, and do you happen to know which browser Romartus uses? ~ Wed, Jan 11 '12 15:37 (UTC)- He told me he was using Firefox during those instances. Dunno which version though.

- It's not exactly a bug in the script so much as just the way the entire thing is implemented, which depends on the javascript engines using big enough variables because it tries to shove the entire article into one. Now in theory, javascript uses untyped, unsized variables, so that should work, even if it isn't terribly elegant, but what do you know, we live in a real world and they really are sized. And in some javascript engines *coughfirefoxcough*, they are sized too small and they don't even check if they need to be resized. Really, the entire script structure needs a rewrite; it's actually quite old, using legacy code that was kept just to keep from breaking stuff still using it, but since jquery is included with mediawiki now, it should provide more than enough for anyone who has some idea of what they're doing to do far better. ~ 17:10, 11 January 2012
- Firefox 4 plus was the problem (on a mac). I switched to Opera as suggested by Black Flamingo. Not had the same problem. --RomArtus*Imperator ® (Orate) 21:22, January 11, 2012 (UTC)
- Romartus: thanks! Lyrithya: I suspect it might not be variable sizing, but an issue with how much data can be sent using
application/x-url-encoded
data. Would be better to usemultipart/form-data
. There could also be a bug in Mozilla's encodeURIComponent which truncates (or chokes on) variables with strings over 4000 bytes in length. I'm putting a script together that includes error-checking — something to test the amount of data being sent and received. Dunno how long I'll take. ~ Thu, Jan 12 '12 0:28 (UTC)- If you mean you're going to write a new script entirely that won't have the bugs and whatnot, good. Nevermind the bugs in whatever it is, we need to move away from this yahoo stuff, especially since we won't have it anymore sooner or later. ~ 16:45, 12 January 2012

I love you I hate you
Thanks for the vote for uoty which will put me on a positive and ultimately winning track (oh, wait, IP's can't vote on these anymore. Never mind.). Hate you for removing the VFH template from Animals with feet war with animals with no feet. It should always have that template on it, until the wonderful day that the main page hosts the war, a war which I can only say about: as generals gathered in their masses, just like "witches at black masses". So thank you and fuck you, very very much. Aleister 12:07 12-1-'12

- What's your goal with the page, though? Is it just a collection of images of generals and witches?
- Seemed like a good idea at the time (see Sister Dora on VFD, and Roman's talk page). It has a nice balance now, so keeping the balance, or maybe it's done. You can feature it if you'd like. Both generals and witches have cold tits in real life. Aleister 12:46 12-1-'12

Vriendelijk verzoek
Zo. Genoeg gepalaverd. A vos plumes et auf siederwehn! Cartoonist | You're nuts? Don't worry... Me too! | 01:19, January 15, 2012 (UTC)
- Well, I'd love to try it some time. I'm hellishly busy right now, though. Maybe I'll translate something of mine that got featured here. Though you're probably right about the difference in style between the English and the Dutch wikis. For some reason I tend to predominantly visit English sites when surfing the web, so it'll be an interesting experience when I give writing articles at Oncyclopedia a shot. Also, writing in Dutch on an English wiki seems awkward to me, so I hope you don't mind my reply being in English. ; ) 02:58, 15 January 2012
Feature que
This blackout thing will affect the feature, but a perfect solution for your consideration. Why not leave Twilight up for the duration, and move the article "Thank God It's Friday" to.....wait for it....Friday, which is open for a feature. Although the que could flip if it isn't moved by 00:00:00:00. Aleister 22:10 17-1-'12
- We're Uncyclopedia, though. Featuring something on a day that seems appropriate for it is a very quaint concept around here.
- You use big words like "quaint", they confuse me. Speaking of tiny words, have you read my new unnews on Gingrich? Only reason I'm asking is that I'm quite proud of this one and its polishing, and haven't asked anyone to read it (except Mattsnow, who doesn't read and I fear illiteracy runs in his family). - Thanks for the fixes! Perfecto mudendo. Your random article has huge potential, so it doesn't make a difference if it's user or main space imnho. A great start. And voting for which one? Gingrich or Romney each have such large faultlines that Obama is going to once again win on luck alone. Not to mention his billion dollar campaign war chest (literally). Help
I went over to William McKinley to do some grammatical clean-ups here 'n' there, but I got carried away, and changed a few paragraphs. Now I'm afraid to hit "save", because that article is Romartus' (and VladimirL's) baby. It's already gotten VFH votes in its present state. What should I do? ~ Fri, Jan 20 '12 13:25 (UTC)
- Well, that mainly depends on whether your changes constitute a major improvement or are more of the eh-I-like-it-better-this-way kind.
- Yeah...but with my stuff, I can never tell the difference, until I've pissed someone off. ~ Fri, Jan 20 '12 13:30 (UTC)
- Maybe saving your edit with an edit summary like (Romartus: Feel free to revert any changes you disagree with.) would be a solution to your dilemma.
- Meh, somebody just reverted some much-more-minor edits I made on a different article, so I think I'm going to just...not bother. Simpler. Sorry to bother ya. ~ Fri, Jan 20 '12 13:41 (UTC)

Forum missing
Hello. I just made on edit on your forum about zapping pages with Fix tags, etc., on them, but the forum itself isn't being shown on, well, forums (where it used to live). Did it get taken out back and shot itself? Are we like under martial law here or something? /looks behind shoulder as he types Do you need protection? Tap once for yes, twice for no. Or put a classified ad in the Gazette this Sunday, reading "Tapping once for yes" or "Tapping twice for no." I wasn't here. Aleister 10:14 22-1-'12
- It was a Category:Ministry of Love rather than a Category:Village Dump forum, so it wouldn't show where most of the forums usually sit. I've added te second cat to it so it will show in both forum lists now. (I'm assuming that's what you were talkings about.) Pup 10:56 22 Jan '12
- I found it there too, as well as other things. Hence my edit conflict post to socky which follows. Thanks for finding it. Aleister 11:03
- This is really old news, but I was gone and missed the entire thing (except for one edit saying that I had no time to read the whole thing). I'm not afraid, well, yes, I am afraid, to admit that I'm tearing up a little, for the first time on uncyclopedia, unless you count that time that I saw that Butt Poop had been huffed. I just read the admin forum where L. and some others tried to get you deopped. I had heard of it, and apparantly posted on the user forum once, but thought it was a joke. But it was serious and they were really mad. Apparantly you, one of the best admins here, were a voice in the wilderness for some of the things which are best about the site. This is old news, although it's new to me, and so I wanted you to know how much I appreciate you and electronically have your electronic back if you have to go to the wall for something or other, at least have your back for a few minutes or until lunch, whatever comes first. Aleister 11:00 22-1-'12

More admins
I have been beginning to rethink my stance on this. I've never been one to cry out for more admins - partially because I have no desire to become one myself. But the role of admins is not that different from long term user. True - I can't delete or restore huffed pages directly, but I can through QVFD/VFD/maintenance tag channels, and I can always request a restore. I can't ban directly, but other than joke bans if There was a reason to ban I could out it through BP or simply ask an admin, which I have done before. So having said that, there is no real reason why users who have been around for a while shouldn't have admin status. Going back a year or so I would have (and did) recommend Chief, Lyrithya, yourself and Romartus become admin for exactly that reason. There are users who have been around a while who I wouldn't recommend becoming admin, but by the same token I'd still suggest that admin rights go through a community vote prior to being given, much the same as I feel it should be community decision as to an admin being de-opped (again, never seen a need for that myself).
So while I see no relevant argument against it, I can see strong arguments for. It would mean that there are more admins around who can tackle the current issues with the tags issue, more responsiveness in relationship to banning vandals and bullies. In short it would mean the work load of an admin - something that I have avoided - could be shared around more. I'm not saying this for my sake, as I'm still unsure if I would want admin responsibility, which is the downside to admin rights, but because I like this site and I think that having less pressure on those who can make the big calls would be a good thing. Especially when you look at what happens to the writing quality of those that become admin - too much focus on mundanity and not enough opportunity for creativity. And after all, that's really what we stayed here for. Pup 05:55 24 Jan '12
- You would have recommended me but I fail at shit. 12:24, January 24, 2012 (UTC)
- I'm not one to be absolutely opposed to having new admins, but last I checked their was a clear consensus amongst the admins that there were plenty to go around at the moment and there's no need for any new ones. I tend to agree with that consensus. 16:51, 24 January 2012

Limit on VFH votes
OK, I would like to propose a new strategy to get people voting for VFH and not VFD. I suggest that for people that put up more than 20 VFH votes, they get banned for one day. 11:50, January 27, 2012 (UTC)

Why haven't you ever made a category for Bettie Page? I went to look at it and it was not there. I still want to look at it, to see all of Bettie in one place beside the Page page. But it is not there. Woe. Aleister 1:36 30-1-'12
- It must've slipped my mind. My apologies for this grave oversight.
- That your mind has slipped is no surprise. Thanks for the vote on James Bevel. Do you have any UnSerious suggestions for the page? On the category for a person, I remember starting two, on Abe Lincoln and Marilyn Monroe--two people who are usually associated with each other. Any argument that is concluded with the letters QED is the argument of an individual attempting to prove intellectual superiority, and not to determine veracity of said argument. Anyone using this is not primarily interested in obtaining the truth. Any deviation from the truth is false. So anyone who concludes an argument with QED is lying, and therefore wrong. QED.

Allah has burnt my page
Praise be to allah who was huffed my page here. Great is Allah's name, may his wisdom and ever knowingness live on. Can you please now undo what Allah did please? Thanks. --ShabiDOO 16:53, March 10, 2012 (UTC)
- I wish my might was as great as Allah's, but seeing as Allah erased every trace of the page's existence, there's nothing I can do.
- Socky...do you have any idea what happened? Does the whole thing seem fishy...or did it just dissapear? --ShabiDOO 17:39, March 10, 2012 (UTC)
- Maybe it happened when Wikia made HowTo: a real namespace a couple months ago. Or did it disappear more recently?
- The thing is...I have no idea when it dissapeared. Whats totally strange about it, is, so did the entries on my contributions list disapear. And the images I used for them (except the one that Aleister used in one of his articles or something). Is that what happens when an article is huffed? The entries in my contribution list is also huffed? The images are also huffed? The huff log also doesn't show it...is that normal? Allah is very mysterious indeed. Priase be his name. --ShabiDOO 18:07, March 10, 2012 (UTC)
- Yeah, sounds like a page that vanished when Wikia officialized some of our namespaces. Probably because of something weird in the title of your page. The images were probably huffed for being unused after the page vanished. If you'd spotted this sooner, we could've recuperated the page from mirror.uncyc.org, but I'm afraid it's too late for that now. Probably the best thing you can do is contact Wikia and ask if they can recuperate the data somehow. 18:16, 10 March 2012

Math / Mathematics
Both Frosty and Tasmania have asked me about this, so I figured I'd grab an admin's perspective. The rewrite I did of Mathematics was designed to replace both of these articles, as they were both pretty bad. I mainspaced it (and thanks for the formatting work on that, btw) and changed Math into a redirect. I've since put it on VFD due to what Frosty was saying, but given it was effectively a merge and rewrite, did I do wrong? Nominally Humane! 04:16 21 Mar
- Nah, I wouldn't say you did something wrong. When you completely rewrite something, you're also deleting the previous version. As long as your article is better, there's nothing wrong with doing that. But of course, doing that with two articles simultaneously is a bit more controversial, so when someone asks for a VFD vote on it, that's understandable. We don't have any clear-cut rules concerning this kind of thing, though. I've seen authors use VFD to propose replacing a mainspace article with their userspace rewrite, I've seen other people use VFD to propose it in the author's stead, and I've seen admins and non-admins alike go ahead and mainspace it without any prior discussion. You generally use VFD for this kind of thing when (one of) the article(s) you're replacing isn't excessively bad and you might imagine some people wanting to keep it. "Math" as it is right now is a pretty big article, but not a very good one. Now if someone were to write a decent article at "Math", I wouldn't see why that article and yours wouldn't be able to coexist peacefully. But seeing as the latter isn't the case...
- Yeah. I guess I'm just used to just rewriting and pasting over personally, which may be why I've jumped the gun here. Nobody had a similar issue where one user decided he hated what I'd done and tried to revert it back. I'm not happy with his edits, and apparently he's not happy with mine, so we're now at a middle ground where neither of us are happy. Compromise in action. But back to topic - it's on VFD now. Other than Al's comment it looks likely that this will be a delete and redirect to a merge and rewrite. (Of the two extremely long articles, both of which I'd already done preliminary clean up on a while back and been monitoring, I kept one and a half sections.) Nominally Humane! 12:22 21 Mar

I think you might want to convert this image to an SVG, if possible. (That is, if you still have the source.) Because I thought of some ways to improve it and it'd definitely be easier to edit if it were SVG. I think we should add #REDIRECT [[Some Other Article]] to one of the sections. --alkies 22:16, April 1, 2012 (UTC)
- Sadly, I lack the means to bring the converting you speak of into actuality. As for the source, I'm pretty sure I just copied it from Wikipedia. In fact, I just looked up the title in Wikimedia Commons and here it is. Apparently there are a load of SVG versions of it available already (look in the "Other versions" section in the blue template-y thingy). Don't ask me to upload them here, though. When I try to save an SVG file on my computer, it's automatically converted to a PNG file. 01:07, 2 April 2012
- Found the vector version. It should be ready soon - if I can figure out how to use it. --alkies 19:49, April 2, 2012 (UTC)

Tour of Flanders and Paris-Roubaix
Both were amazing races! Did the Tour of Flanders pass near where you're at? I lolled when they said the fact that the race would not go to the Mur du Grammont (Muur van Geraardsbergen) caused national outrage! Belgians really love cycling lol. Tom Boonen must be all over the news! What a domination o.0 In the UnNews, I make fun of doping, but about all of them do, and if hundreds of baseball players do, I'm quite sure that 90% of all pro athletes do. I would like it better if doping didn't exist at all, but in this context, Boonen victories are very legit. What if he does it again next year and beat the record??? You could go thee and throw spikes on the road after he passes lol Mattsnow 10:45, April 10, 2012 (UTC)
- I live in a city that experiences little to no cycling events throughout the year. I'm not really that much of a cycling fan, though, so that's okay. Consequently, I wasn't notably bothered by the Muur van Geraardsbergen thing, though why they decided to remove such an iconic part of the Tour of Flanders parcours is a mystery to me. As to the doping or just drugs in general, I have a really simple position: Outlaw the dangerous stuff and legalize the safe stuff. If someone wants to use doping to up their performance because they weren't born with superhuman stamina, I say let 'em. It makes for a more interesting game. The remarkable thing about Boonen is that he was out for the count for a long time, and now he's winning one thing after another. Remarkable how cyclers tend to have these streaks. Last year it was Philippe Gilbert.

Greetings!
Might you perchance be on IRC at some point in the near future? If not, is the grammar in this correct? "Adolf ficken ein Bär während unseres Urlaubs in Polen - 1939" (It's a caption for a photograph. You can probably guess what's going on in the picture.) Thanks! ~ Fri, Apr 13 '12 4:46 (UTC)
- The answer to your first inquiry is apparently a negative one. As for your second inquiry, though my knowledge of German is limited, I believe "Adolf fickt einen Bär" is more correct (it's einen because Bär is accusative in this sentence). I wouldn't know about the latter part, though it seems intelligible enough.
- Cool, thank you. You're the only person I would trust to tell me how to inform the world that "Adolf" was "fucking a bear". ~ Fri, Apr 13 '12 12:06 (UTC)

Hello, Socky. Since Dan isn't here to deliver your Perv of the Month award, I will do it myself. So here it is! Take it or leave it, motherbitch. -- NotReallyMyUsername 2012-05-02T01:09

A short break
Dear Socky,
I just wanted to let you know that I will be taking a break from Uncyclopedia, I've been quite busy these days and I need to take an extended break of two hours. I would appreciate it if you'd take care of any administrative tasks and voting on my behalf for the next one hundred and twenty minutes and assume my adopt-a-noob responsibilities as well (I believe I have one banned noob under my guidance). Thank you, and if any disaster happens, you do have my family contacts in the data base.

- I believe he may have wanted to vote here during that period. Again. --C₂H₆O (hic) 06:51, May 3, 2012 (UTC)
- Funny how these things work out. It turns out I was absent too during the two hours in question. Oh and hi, ethyl alcohol, I didn't know addictive substances could have an account here.
- There's no need to be so formal. Most people refer to me as alcohol. It's also about time that Uncyclopedia had a higher alcohol content. --C₂H₆O (hic) 00:14, May 4, 2012 (UTC)
- I also meant to ask about your "contents" on this page. How do you force it into three columns? I was thinking of doing the same with the over-large list on political correctness, as the bulk of the content is that list. If it can be made more readable or tabular in style the major issue with the appearance of that page would be rectified. On a side note, would it be wrong to move it to Political correctness gone mad? As a broad generalisation that is about the only time that you see that phrase, as the more common term for the linguistic phenomena would be Politically correct. If we're using the more tabloid phrasing, which is used to disparage the change, then the extended tabloid phraseology would be more suited. --C₂H₆O (hic) 00:28, May 4, 2012 (UTC)
- It's kinda complicated to explain how tables work, but I took a jab at it. Feel free to tell me what you think. As for titles, "Political correctness" is the more encyclopedia-ish title, and most of our Uncyclopedia articles are quite mad anyway. 01:19, 6 May 2012

Question about Mediawatch
Can news articles be added to {{Mediawatch}} if they aren't available online? MadMax (talk) 04:38, May 4, 2012 (UTC)
- Yes. You just name the newspaper in that case and by not providing a url, the template will leave out the "You can read about it here" part. 00:24, 6 May 2012

Greetings!
Thought I'd let you know about a new feature we've got on recent changes, called "patrolled edits". If you do any cleanup on RC, patrolling can be a useful tool. Essentially, it "approves" edits by any users who are not in the auto-patrolled user group (IPs, newbies, etc). It makes it much easier for multiple people to sweep up, as they don't have to keep checking the same pages. You can read about it here. Also, if you'd like to patrol multiple edits at a time, or just patrol edits directly from RC, I've got a special javascript which I whipped up recently. You can use it by putting importScript( "User:Bizzeebeever/scripts/patrol.js" )
into either your uncyclopedia.js or monobook.js, depending on which theme you use.
If you already knew about it, then please disregard this message. Cheers. ~ Mon, May 14 '12 0:01 (UTC)
- Oh yeah, I knew about this already. Thanks for the message anyway. 00:08, 14 May 2012
A new category...
...has emerged from the dawn of time, one which you may be able to add to with your great knowledge of the site and its twists and turns. I've asked MadMax too. And do you have any new Bettie Page pictures? I'll trade you money and pizza. Aleister 00:35 14-5-'12
- I'll see what I can do for you. Oh, and I've hidden my stash of Bettie pictures over here. That reminds, I was meaning to tell you that Category:People with bird's names should probably be renamed "Category:People with bird names". 00:44, 14 May 2012
- You've got lots of Bettie Page pics there. Is the code any longer? I'll put it on the category intro. Doesn't Bird's names sound more fun? And it's accurate, take Jack Sparrow. Sparrow is the name of an entire species of bird, not just one bird. But you may be right, although "bird's names" has a ring to it. I must go look at more Bettie now. Al 1:04 14-5-'12
I try to create Category:14 May 2012 for the UnNews
But I can't! Some stupid filter says I'm trying to do something harmful! WTF??? Mattsnow 00:54, May 14, 2012 (UTC)
- It turns out Lyrithya edited a filter recently and changed some of the settings and by leaving out a comma or somesuch, the filter was affecting the wrong users. I restored it to the older version for now and created the category for you.
- Thanks! Mattsnow 01:53, May 14, 2012 (UTC)

...for a man must have his hobby. Thanks for putting the Masters UnNews on the main page. I had forgottan about it weeks ago, and then Aimsplode reminded me of it, and when I read it again it was like it was someone elses and I laughed. So I didn't have any thought it would eventually make feature, but if something stays around long enough it gets nailed down and painted. Thanks again! Now, go back to your hobby. Aleister 1:48 21-5-'12
- Oh, Romartus featured it, actually. I just added some spaces and some spicy links that had mysteriously disappeared from the bit Romartus copypasted. Thanks for reminding me of my hobby, though. *goes to look at the thing Aleister linked* 01:52, 21 May 2012
Since you're somewhere near Germany...
...quick! Name the two German politicians that strike you as being the most disgusting. Some neo-Nazis, perhaps, or even a ...uh... Christian Democrat? They have those, right? ~ Mon, May 21 '12 4:46 (UTC)
- Uh... the only German politician I know the name of is Angela Merkel. Does being a cock block count as being disgusting? And I'm pretty sure Germany, like many other European countries, has a Christian Democratic party. Out here in Belgium, they're pretty sensible most of the time, even. On a related note, how many Canadian politicians do you know the name of?
- Well, touche. Of course, Canada is much farther away from me -- the distance between me and Ottawa is literally 200 miles farther than the distance between Belgium and Moscow. And I also really, really don't care much for Canada. They think they are so cool up there, pretending to be European while they're really just low-fat Americans. Such hipsters. ~ Tue, May 22 '12 18:41 (UTC)
- Sadly, the Belgian media don't care much for other countries either. They only ever talk about them if there's elections, a terrorist attack, an earthquake or some other major crisis going on back there. To fill the news with items, sometimes they have to make up lame stuff like "The sun is shining and a lot of people are spending their weekends on the shore." or "Hey, did you know that people get less happy in the winter?" or "Some elephants from the zoo of Antwerp are being moved to the Planckendael animal park." Seriously. Another thing that annoys me is that various Flemish television series have a large overlap in their cast. Luckily our channels do show foreign television series, especially American ones, so I can watch a great variety of actors playing the same scenarios on a load of different shows. 23:05, 22 May 2012

End of Time
This article started off great, but then it just stopped. Did you finish writing it because it ends rather abruptly. -- 21:51, May 24, 2012 (UTC)
- Ah, thanks for reminding me of its existence. Must've forgotten about it after MrN removed the construction tag. It's not really finished yet, but don't worry, I'll work on it the next couple days. 22:20, 24 May 2012
Would you do the honors...
...of taking UnBooks:A new lease on life off of VFH. It has a limited reader base, not enough to gain a feature. I'm tempted to say same for "Boone's Farm", but am not sure. Maybe in a couple of days, it's kind of cutting and maybe too much for a feature page. What do you think on Boone's? Thanks. Yeah, I'd say take that off too, it's too mean to the poor company who was maintaing a pr page here. Maybe leaving them with that page is fine, but to feature it is rubbing it in. Aleister 19:57 26-5-'12
- I've removed UnBooks:A new lease on life from VFH for you. I'm not sure about Boone's Farm yet, though. I'd rather leave it be for now and let people comment on it before possibly closing the nom. Unless if you insist, that is.
- Thanks for the removal. Sure, on Boone's, let it ride, but the ship is sinking with no hands left on deck. Aleister 1:04 Boobday, May, 2012
00:59, 27 May 2012
Looking at the Boone's Farm page I wouldn't want to list it as a feature. It's more of a rant about Boone's Farm, and only because they used this site as a P.R. outpost for years. But that fact is lost in the article, so it just comes across as mean. If you could remove it from its place on VFH, appreciated. Thanks. (and where's the next Bettie Page article you promised?) Aleister 20:12 27-5-'12
- Okay, I closed the nomination. (I'm having a bit of writer's block at the moment. Why don't you write one?)
- Thanks! It was failing anyway, although it was nice of you and others to vote for it. Writer's block????? All you have to do is look at a pic of Bettie in repose and it will all come back to you. Although you may not have it long. But then another look 20 minutes later and you're ready to go again. I just made up that things about you promising. Aleister 20:52 27-5-'12

VFH
You know, we lowered the VPA goal from 20 to 15 a while back, but this change was updated only on VFHS, not on VFH or the site notice, which might get confusing. -- 00:26, May 28, 2012 (UTC)

Okay, so I love your article about Christina Aguilera (whore robot, lol, so true it's funny), and I would like to move a copy of it out of the Userspace (AKA copy and past the formatting and call it an article). What I am doing is asking your permission to do so. Of course I will cite you as the creator, and if I don't, you can probably tell MrN9000. Pretty pleeeaaassseee? I think it will probably have pretty good chances of surviving, since unfortunately, I can't link to a namespace :(. --BieberAxeKiller (talk) 20:20, May 29, 2012 (UTC)
- Ah, you mean this? The thing is, it's not really mine. It was voted for deletion at one point and I saved it in my userspace. Generally speaking, a previously VFDed article in userspace needs to undergo significant improvements before it can be moved back to mainspace. 22:49, 29 May 2012

- I seem to recall glancing at it some time recently. Is there something going on with the article?
- Something like a colonization. Within about... um, (punches a few buttons on iPhone) 3 months it should be ready for another Pee Review and maybe even VFH. Anyway, we're looking for stuff related to the guy that we can parody. -- 23:20, May 29, 2012 (UTC)

- Note to self: Post to Talk:Hermann Fegelein explaining that Socky said that Fegelein might have been blond, and encourage Teamf1 to add stuff to the article about the Dumb Blondes whom Fegelein had sex with during his Nazi and Formula One career. -- 01:50, May 30, 2012 (UTC)

Socky, would you mind helping me inplement a new site notice for the text at teh top re:Forum:Site message that be from a list of articles on VFH with the text as follows:

- I changed it to something along those lines.
- Thanks a million Socky. One quick thing though...as I said...the percentage never goes up...its always going down...and it probably makes the site look like its sinking. One way to do that would be to get rid of it. The other...would be to make it absurd like:

Constitution (Games)
Thanks for poopsmithing this; would you please also move it to Constitution (gaming) as I suggested on VFD? Move is restricted to sysop because of past abuse. I'll fix the links. Spıke ¬ 14:41 2-Jun-12
- Sure thing. 14:51, 2 June 2012
- Now that I think about it, isn't "Constitution (character attribute)" a more informative title? 14:54, 2 June 2012
I'd stay with "gaming" as the other raises more questions than it answers. A character attribute is exactly what CON is, but "gaming" is the relevant field. The article is about the D&D rating (before now digressing into "Other constitutions" etc.). Separately, it looks as though the disambiguation page is the only link that should be changed, and you saw to it. Spıke ¬ 15:03 2-Jun-12

Two to keep an eye on
GermanPug has recently joined and is touting Stupidedia as a/the German wiki our interwiki should point to. I comment somewhere that we might have to rethink our assumption that there is at most one analogous website per language.
I gave him an unfortunately harsh Pee Review of his Alexandr Lukaschenko, as it seemed like a hatchet-job to me. Today he has placed a "This article will give you AIDS" template on Swaziland. A revert of this might seem like a vendetta, but my opinion (based on small sample size) is that his sense of humor is heavy-handed; he may be here less to provide humor than many small pieces of his mind.
Separately, am watching FriendlyWalrus on Sephiroth despite not knowing who or what Sephiroth was. Am not sure his material is funny because it's funny, or funny because it's vaguely anti-Semitic. Cheers. Spıke ¬ 16:47 2-Jun-12
- Yeah, to assume there can only be one satirical/humour/Wikipedia-parody wiki per language seems downright stupid. I've gathered that the anti-Wikia Uncyclomedia community have accepted Stupidedia into their midst (mostly because it's a non-Wikia wiki as opposed to the German Uncyclopedia). On the other hand, we have yet to come up with an official position on whether we consider Stupidedia to be part of the interlingual Uncyclopedia project. I'd hate to see some kind of vendetta emerging between Uncyclopedia and Stupidedia just because we're too busy procrastinating to arrange for the possibility of interwikilinks to different wikis in the same language.
- And I'll be on the lookout for any suspicious activities from the two users in question. 17:59, 2 June 2012
