A while ago we decided to Op Lyrithya based upon her ability to write, coding nous, and her previous experience as an administrator elsewhere. Since that point in time a significant percentage of the community here have felt that she has become more of a dtriment than an asset to the community. I have now gotten to the point where I feel that I cannot contribute effectively here while she still remains as an admin, as her abuse of position and harassment and bullying of members based upon whim and favouritism is destroying the wiki. As I am currently not the most popular person amongst the administration of the wiki, I fully expect to be banned for even bringing this point up.

However, in the interest of a fair and democratic practise, I'm now raising a vote to decide on wether or not we should remove Lyrithya's administration rights. In the interest of reducing drama I'm going to ask that people vote with {{For}}/{{Against}} or '''For''' / '''Against''' and preface their votes with a bullet point. If you wish to make a non-vote comment, please add it in the comment section at the base of the page.

  • Symbol neutral vote.svg Like Shabidoo, I abstain. Lyrithya does throw her weight around. She bans people when a simple conversation with them would make more sense. She is occasionally vindictive, and a bit impulsive. Her Javascripting is horrid. She thinks this is Wikipedia. Her cat is ugly. Her mother is a bitch. Lastly, she accepts money in exchange for sex. However: she writes guud, her CSS skills are decent, she makes an effort to improve the wiki (or at least, she did, before she decided that Wikipedia was more fun), and she hasn't banned me in the last three months. So...yeah. Abstain. ~ BB ~ (T) Icons-flag-us.pngMon, May 7 '12 11:34 (UTC)

Umm... I made this one new cool template which you are watching RIGHT NOW WATCH IT OR YOU'LL DIE and I wrote about it to Ly. Ly didn't respond me, Ly very bad person, but... still she does have a big meaning to me and my existence. And everyone has those days that 'oh fuck Uncyclopedia sux I hate that place I'm not gonna go there whatever Puppy tells to other people'. So... She does not deserve to be stabbed in the back while she's not watching (or de-opped whatever you want to call it). I would call it Symbol declined.svg Against..

  • Symbol declined.svg Against. I haven't seen the kind of behavior that would warrant de-opping on a large scale. Per Aleister, POTR and Lyrithya need to reconcile, not continue this drama. On a wiki of this size, not everyone is going to get along, sadly. However, banning the unhappy users isn't the solution. If one person feels they have been banned unfairly, they can go on IRC and appeal the ban. • At first I was like Symbol declined.svg Against. because this is an obvious exacerbation of drama that should have ended when, well, Puppy was banned for exacerbating drama. But then I was like Symbol for vote.svg For. because he makes pretty salient points about Lyrithya's stubborn behavior and talent at being seriously petty oftentimes, and that precedent of conversation between the two users has only ended with even more exacerbated drama (see: the signature argument). But then I saw Lyrithya's sublimely measured response below, which slightly reassured my faith in her humanity, and I was like Symbol declined.svg Against. again. But then I realized I was already thinking about this dumb little waste of time too much and decided just to say Symbol neutral vote.svg Abstain.. • Symbol declined.svg Against. Simply because Puppy actually took the effort to notify me of this forum, and hence I feel obliged to throw in my two cents. However, I DO believe that we should have refused her adminship when she was reluctant to accept it. One at a time. Nominally Humane! 08:30 07 May

It's always easy to give a critique of someone who has for the moment lost face in the community. The problem is that there are aggravating behaviors done by both admins and users that often make someone who's proverbially had the final straw look like a completely irrational nutcase. Being open and transparent with these concerns is admirable, coming back from a weeks ban and then starting this is less so and does little to address what are, I suspect, very real concerns.--Sycamore (Talk) 08:47, May 7, 2012 (UTC)

I still haven't been given a reason for the ban beyond "don't start drama" for trying to address these concerns. I'm now addressing them in the nicest possible of ways. Nominally Humane! 08:50 07 May
Wasn't it Zombiebaron that made the ban in question? Or was Lyrithya involved too? Nominator invited me here, and I am not voting. Romartus votes, above: "I am for sysop accountability but I don't see how this vote can be constructive in the circumstances. I also don't like how the question suggests it's either one user or another who can stay here. That's petty and personal in my view." I concur on all counts, except that I don't see how such a vote can be constructive in any circumstances. Further to Gabriel's vote, I see neither proof nor even a list of the offenses. Only an assertion about a feeling of a "significant portion of the community" that I cannot measure.

Am aware that in the last month, she initiated drama over MrN's timestamp, and also that she opposed Puppy on VFS primarily on the basis that saying he had come to learn technical secrets that might be misused. Both issues seemed ridiculous, but I'll assume that there is other comparable drama that I haven't followed. Uncyclopedia is attractive both for cranking out funny material and for bossing around other people. Rather than responding to episodes with personal punishment, there ought to be a system in place to ensure that all the bossing around is in service to the cranking out--the way Mordillo used to do it. Response from Lyrithya

Puppy, it was never my intent to upset you. I admit I overreacted about the signatures two months ago; such a response was completely unwarranted, for which I can only apologise, and I hope we can put that behind us. I also will not censor myself, however - if I believe something will damage the site, I will speak out; I'm sorry if more recent criticism was taken personally, but I knew of no better way to say it.

That said, if any of you have specific issues that you can back up with diffs that you would like to take up with me, please do so. Obviously I am far from perfect and the environment here doesn't exactly help matters, so please, let's make this productive for a change. 1234 ~ 16px-Pointy.png 07:43, 8 May 2012

Just a shame it took 2 months and this forum to get that apology. On an unrelated note... If you want to know the true measure of a person... Look at how they act and react when they are wrong about something. It's easy to be right when you are right, but being right when you are wrong? That's a lot more difficult. On an unrelated note... I knew this guy once, Peter Johnson, he had a rooster once he named Willy. That old fellow was quite the pecker, often gets himself in trouble like a bird-brained dingaling. Once took a bush snake for a morning snack, then there was the time he let his beak prick Fang, the neighbor's vicious dachshund. That runt of a wiener dog was small, but one bite that could cut through chicken bone like a soft sausage could have ended him there, a wood rod to the dog's nose saved him that time, though might have left a swollen knob on the poor canine. That cock would probably have been more useful as fresh meat though, and you know the dog wouldn't have left a scrap, would've gulped down the whole package, organs and all and picked his teeth with a feather shaft. The owner was a real tool, but I suppose he thought of his pet as a member of the family or some such diddly.
Now you try picking them all out of that and you'll start seeing innuendos everywhere. ◄► UnUnUn ium ◄► 14:37, May 8, 2012 (UTC)
