Looks like neither of us got the tone of that one quite right. Perhaps I should ban you again - would that sort it all out? --UU - natter 17:35, Mar 3

Wrex[edit source]
Keeps getting shot all to fuck by the Woman, how do I stop this? You know, on the beach bit after you've lain waste to all those geth, the bug-eyed alien tells you that Seren has a cure for the Krogan genophage and Wrex gets all moody about having to go destroy it (which so far as I've seen nobody explicitly suggested). Ocassionally I get other speach options in black, but obvously can't use them. How do I save him, cos I want the achivement for going through most of the game with him. Also, have some Pleasanteries. Orian57 Talk 22:17 5 March 2010
- Oh wait, I'm grounded here so I don't think I'll be able to get the cheevo with him any way. Just gonna go ahead and do the main plotline then explore the rest of the game on my next playthrough. Still be nice to know though. Orian57 Talk 23:42 5 March 2010
- You need to have access to the paragon dialogue option which is the top left one in grey, and you can talk him round. Otherwise he dies in a hail of shooty death. As I recall from my game you need to be a pretty nice fellow to gain access to said conversation option and you need to have poured lots of exp points into the Spectre training and barter slots (been a while since I played ME1, and the system is different in ME2, but I think that is right). That's how I did it at least. Also, hello Orian, how is life? When are you coming back? --ChiefjusticeWii 23:46, March 5, 2010 (UTC)
- Ah I see. I don't really know my way around this game, I've just blundered from one plot mission to the next with months in between. I like it but it took me ages to get there. Also life is good, and I am kinda back. just not doing anything useful at the minute. How about you, hows stuff? Orian57 Talk 23:50 5 March 2010
- Not bad, spending too much time here due to having no commitments at uni right now and being unable to drink for 24 hours a day. I'm just doing the usual: reviewing, reverting and generally crushing everybody's creative spirit. I have also found the time to make my way through Left 4 Dead 2 and Mass Effect 2 and the big news is they are fun, but not once you have finished. I don't really see the appeal of playing through Mass Effect 2 again though, just so I can be a bit less nice. --ChiefjusticeWii 23:57, March 5, 2010 (UTC)

- Oh my god, I just found our solar system in Mass Effect, Pluto is still a planet. This makes me happy. Orian57 Talk 01:25 6 March 2010
- Bugger-all to do in that system though, is there? Shoot a few drones on the moon - ooh! Anyway, yeah, as Chief said, be a bit of a nice guy, pump a bunch of valuable experience points into the "charm" option on your character, and you should be fine. Or you could talk to Wrex a lot on the ship, get hom to tell you about his family's armour, then go get it for him - that should make him like you enough, if I remember rightly. Now, have you fully recovered from your debilitating illness? --UU - natter 10:03, Mar 6
- No but I did reach the end of Mass Effect, missed most of the achives so gonna have to give it a couple more thoughrough playthroughs. Bet you've got every achivemnt, do you? Definitly a really good game, despite the absoloutly horrible start. Sequel looks good too but can't really afford it at the minute. Orian57 Talk 14:27 6 March 2010
- Did you play as a girl and romance that Kaiden chap then? Or did you swallow your pride and romance one of the girls? Or did you not bother with romance? You'll probably love the sequel - the combat is a little more "Gears of War"-ified. As I'm not a Gears fan, that threw me a little, but I'm enjoying the story enough to not care. So what exactly is wrong with you if you're still ill? --UU - natter 14:38, Mar 6

Controversy over Uncyclopedian leads journalist to public outcry
The "of the Month" nominations and celebrations have been marred recently by drama circulating in forums, talk pages and on vote pages in various areas. Fortunately, whenever and wherever a drama has reared its ugly head an Unsignpost reporter has been there to cover it. Why do I need to provide this? is now experiencing his second week of not having been nominated for anything. After mentioning to a respected editor that he had been nominated for at least one award for almost every day he had been part of the Uncyclopedia community, he bemoaned the fact that he had not been nominated for anything this month. "I've been nommed for something EVERY SINGLE DAY of the five months I've been here--until this month. I'm not nommed for anything. It's pretty depressing, really." Why? complained As a result of this complaining, Why? was then nominated for an award that had been more respected in the breach then in the observance - to paraphrase the bard - Nomination of the Month. When, after a series of events, Roman Dog Bird felt obliged to nominate Aleister in Chains' Nomination for NOTM of PuppyOnTheRadio's nomination for NOTM of Why do I need to provide this?'s nomination of PuppyOnTheRadio for UGotM, he simply stated "This is a stupid award." Meanwhile, at UotM, discussion over the number of awards given out led to an obvious discussion about the worth of RotM and UotM, which of course led, as all conversational roads do, to the hugely popular and debatably talented Dan Brown, not to be confused with Dan Kwon, as we aren't quite sure who he is. The debate got unexpectedly heated when a talented and handsome editor suggested that another less talented editor should perform carnal and bestial acts with random household appliances. Remember to cast your vote in AotM, PotM, RotM, NotM and WotM, or nominate the uncyc member that has impressed you most in these areas. And of course, always remember Mordillo's words, "This one is for people who made Uncyclopedia better by cleaning up shop, helping people and allow Uncyclopedia to wobble around without falling over." Vote today. Or tomorrow - depending on if you have the time.
And with the current vote count standing at 6 in favour, and with few regularly active sysops left to vote, it looks like the chances are that there will be new sysops by the end of this month - so time to start deciding who you're gonna nominate! Who will be the next to have a thousand IPs ask them on their talkpage why they deleted their useless little one-line stub? Stay tuned to find out? |

Thank you for blocking me[edit source]
It's Ozymandiaz and yes you read my heading correctly. I needed time to calm down otherwise I probably would have ended up being blocked indefinitely. I've been meaning to post this comment for some time but I've been busy elsewhere. I should have kept my temper on N9000 talk page and I started off with a fair amount of civility but when those other stooges arrived, ganging up on me and currying favour, then I just lost it. It's always the same on Uncyclopedia, you try to have a discussion with a well-known bigshot over a disagreement then some bunch of no-marks swarm to the flame like vultures to a battlefield, immediately side with the bigshot and start relentlessly pecking away in a puerile and childish way at the other guy. I gave N9000 a fair trial but I'm afraid he's lost what respect I had for him. If you ask me the power's gone to his head. Thanks for staying coolheaded throughout the whole rotten saga anyway. See you round. --Ozymandiaz 18:44, March 8, 2010 (UTC)
- Great. I don't want your respect... You mean "the whole rotten saga" which started because you were being an asshole on this very talk page? Just stop doing the things you were doing or I will block you again. MrN 12:53, Mar 9
- Ozy, for the last time: learn the difference between "stooges" or "no-marks swarming to the flame" and friends. MrN is one of the very best, and people like him for that reason. Now please, put this behind you, understand that, as a community, we tend to look out for each other on here, and then see if you can have a little fun around here. OK? --UU - natter 13:01, Mar 9
- "otherwise I probably would have ended up being blocked indefinitely." Yeah, good idea.. Why not? • • • • 16:28 • Tuesday, 9-03-2010
- Because the real truth is that actually I really care about Ozymandiaz, and my reasons for blocking him were founded in love. Seriously. He is part of this wonderful family of Uncyclopedia which I hold so dear to my heart. He came here because he liked the place, and wanted to contribute, and that is actually enough to tell me that he's really a rather good and nice person who I want to be around. Just like everyone else who I have blocked (but not permanently blocked) I always do it through a deep founded wish to make them better contributors, and therefore make the wiki which I care so much about be a better place. Sometimes people don't understand Uncyclopedia, and think it's a place for them to battle against others, and sometimes with a few short term blocks which emphasise that we do have rules which exist for the betterment of the whole it's possible to explain that to people who have not listened to other forms of reasoning. Bet you are waiting for a punch line to this set-up eh? Well... MrN 16:42, Mar 9

- Mordillo: I've not exactly had a huge amount of time with it - I've got most of my team, and I'm doing the loyalty missions. My idea is to play with the dualistic morality a little bit, like having the article swing wildly between being all puppies and sunshine then just being a racist cunt. Article deletion[edit source]
Hey I was saddened to see that the article on Spuppies, which I wrote some years ago, was huffed by you . . . I'd love to know why. - Random pipings
- Y'know, it helps to give a link to an article when you're asking about it. I do a lot of things around here, and trying to find one article I deleted takes up more of my time than I'd like. Particularly if the article was called "Spuppy", and you refer to it as "Spuppies". To answer your question, if you look at the deletion reason, I told you why I deleted it: it was nominated for deletion on VFD, where it received 5 "delete" votes, and no "keep" votes. That's democratic process for you. As it was deleted in September last year, and you've only just noticed, I assume you're not really that bothered about it either. If you want to dig through the VFD archives (the template at the bottom of the VFD page), you'll eventually find the full vote and all the delete reasons given, but I'm not going to dig for you, my time is more precious than that. If you want a copy back to work on, I can restore it to your userspace, but you'd better improve it if I do. --UU - natter 13:01, Mar 11
- Oops, sorry about not linking, yeah, it's not a huge deal, it's something I wrote several years ago and it probably was funnier to me than anybody else, judging by the delete-vote comments. I was just a little surprised to see it gone. - Random pipings

Investigative journalist looks in to the cabal; Shocking discovery Many veiled references have been made to this cabal, however until now there has been no real investigative attempts to uncover the shocking truth about the cabal. However, despite this, one plucky rookie journalist has decided that the truth must be free, and an investigation into the cabal has been undertaken. Investigating this it appears that the rumours relating to a cabal have come from numerous sources. In investigating this there were a number of dead ends, including pages that appear to have been deleted with no history. One source has come forward to expose the truth about the cabal. Under threat of repercussion, this source has been asked to be known simply as Deep Throat. Upon interviewing this source the following shocking truth has been discovered! There is no cabal.
Any rumours about a supposed cabal are completely untrue. Any suggested sources are in fact fictional and have no veracity behind them. There is no shadowy, mysterious force guiding Uncyclopedia. As I, as a respected journalist, have now been made well aware of the non-existence of this cabal, I am now comfortable to retire my journalistic career. I will shortly be taking a long trip to a very remote location where there is no phone or internet access and will choose to never write again. I may even go to Antarctica. But most importantly, there is not now, nor never has been, a cabal.A useful HowTo? does not compute!
If there were a Cabal (which, as the above article clearly establishes beyond doubt, there isn't), it would encourage you to read it and never write a bad UnNews again. |

Come on feel the noize[edit source]
GIRLS, ROCK YOUR BOYS!
WE'LL GET WILD, WILD, WILD!
WILD, WILD, WILD!!
• • • Necropaxx (T) {~} Friday, 16:12, Mar 12 2010
- Let's dance to Joy Division
- And celebrate the irony
- Everything is going wrong
- But we're so happy
- Let's dance to Joy Division.
- Necropaxx gets a nod for spotting it, plus a roll of the eyes - also for for spotting it. Seriously - have you nothing better to do? ;-) Orian gets a bemused shake of the head. Thanks for playing! (What was the game?) Now, show me a hero, of head and heart... (Go on - find out what song that is, then get on YouTube and listen to it. Loud.) --UU - natter 21:53, Mar 14
- Spotting what? I thought this was just a sing-song-along. Also I'm far too lazy. Orian57 Talk 11:24 15 March 2010
- Why now that you mention it, I do have something better to do. I just don't want to, that's all. :P Oh, and I think it's spelled "Cum on feel the noize" but I can understand why you changed it, seeing as how you might overexcite some other users. :D • • • Necropaxx (T) {~} Monday, 18:39, Mar 15 2010

Bastarding achievements.[edit source]
I only need three more but the ally achieves I tried to unlock on my most recent run through, didn't unlock. I do really like this game but I'm on my fifth playthrough now and I still need to finish my insanity run. It's getting just a tad tedious. Do you care about achievements at all, out of curiosity? Do you care about my achievements? Orian57 Talk 15:57 14 March 2010
- I don't give a toss about achievements, and couldn't tell you my gamerscore to the nearest thousand. I played ME1 through about 6 times, with 3 different characters, making key decisions differently each time, to see how much of an effect they'd have when I carried the saves over to ME2. So far, I can't see that it's going to be a whole huge amount, although I still haven't finished my first playthrough yet. And of your achievements, the one I care about the most right now is your number of featured articles on this wiki - got to 20 yet? I'm on 18.5, you'd better get moving! (Go on - write something!) --UU - natter 21:59, Mar 14
- You see, I have to confess I only went back to the game because I had so many achievements to get on it. And then I started to enjoy it. I've got two saves on it, one where I acted like a cunt the whole way through and killed the council to help with the galaxy wide domination Udina (or however the fuck you go about spelling it) was shooting for. And the other where I was a fairly nice chap doing the best he could for everyone. I should be getting ME2 fairly soon, not sure if she'll be ordering it from the internet sometime this week or will get it on Friday when we're in Inverness anyway (After previewing this I'm fairly surprised we have an article about it, which leads me to wonder why I tried to link you to it in the first place). I'm quite looking forward to it, though, game sequels are always better in my experience. Orian57 Talk 11:52 15 March 2010
- Do we have any other games in common? Fallout 3 is a game you might like (unless you're a knob that cares passionately about graphics rather than content) superficially it's vastly different from ME but the decision making does feature and you'll always be running to a place to shoot some things for some person or other. Plus the level of personal exploration you can do in it is amazing. It's definitely in my top 5 games of all time, highly recommend it. Orian57 Talk 11:52 15 March 2010
- Did you know Fallout was developed using the GURPS system? It was changed due to some disagreement. King of the Internet Alden Loveshade??? (royal court) 22:19, March 15, 2010 (UTC)
- I dunno we'll have too many games in common, for the simple fact that I haven't played many new games recently. I had to save like fuck for ME2, and I won't have time for many other games this year, probably. Particularly not something as massive as Fallout 3, although it does interest me. Most of my gaming is probably behind me, I've been playing games since the days of the BBC Model B Micro (look it up, have a history lesson) and the mighty Chuckie Egg. You know occasionally they have rundowns of the greatest retro games ever? Played most of 'em... first time around. I still remember the Space Invaders and Asteroids arcade machines in my local swimming baths, and how cutting edge they were at the time. *dissolves into misty-eyed nostalgia and wibbles on for ages* You play much retro stuff, or are you all about the new? --UU - natter 09:20, Mar 16
- That is a shame to hear, but if you do ever come across a spare £27 buy Fallout 3. As for retro, not so much beyond tetris, sure they were probably great in their day but I don't see the attraction now when there is far better stuff out now. I mean I will occasionally go back to banjo-kazooie but it's just old (1998 I believe) rather than retro. Orian57 Talk 09:35 16 March 2010
- It's more the "time" thing than the "money" thing, TBH. I'm not getting into the whole "better stuff about now" debate - except to say that quality gameplay never ages, to me, and while there are some quality games about these days, there were some quality games about in those days too. But I guess it's what you're used to. I have a friend who refuses to watch any films from the black-and-white era. Refuses. He reckons if they're good enough, one day they'll be remade in colour. Interesting point of view - how many remakes have there ever been that didn't take a good film and make it less good? Oh shit, I'm getting dangerously close to a rant here. I'll stop now. --UU - natter 10:39, Mar 16
- You see I refuse to watch black and white crap because it's crap. I have never once been impressed by a black and white movie, if it's not the lame scripts it's the homophobia and racism and equally offensive setting (50's or earlier America) what's to like? Also I've just landed on Solcrum, for the 5th geth outpost. It's by far my favourite sky, that massive blue star is awesome, in teh true sense of the word. Orian57 Talk 11:05 16 March 2010
- Citizen Kane, Casablanca, The Third Man, Seven Samurai, Rashomon, It's A Wonderful Life. That's what's to like. For starters. Have you seen any of those? Quality all the way through. And try watching Alfred Hitchcock's original black-and-white Psycho, then contrast it with Gus Van Zant's pointless shot-for-shot colour remake, and ask yourself which is better. And a lot of black-and-white movies are set in 50s America or earlier because they were made in America in the 50s or earlier. --UU - natter 11:15, Mar 16

I haven't seen it's a wonderful life, but know enough to judge it. But regardless. Lets talk about TV. Are you, a Doctor Who fan? Thats the new episodes, the ones I was alive for. We must've had this conversation before but I honestly can't be fucked looking through your archives (and as you never write helpful previews anymore...). Orian57 Talk 11:25 16 March 2010

- If you haven't seen a film, you don't know enough to judge it. I thought I was going to hate It's A Wonderful Life, right until I saw it, and it became one of my favourite films. Same for Citizen Kane, which is, apart from anything else, a tour de force of charisma from Orson Welles. Oh, and I should have mentioned A Touch of Evil in that list (Charlton Heston plays a Mexican, and it's still great!) And The Big Sleep. And The Maltese Falcon. There are some truly great black-and-white films out there. But then, it's your life, your choice. As to TV - never bothered about Dr Who, either when I was a kid or now. If it's British Sci Fi with dodgy sets you're after, look no further than Red Dwarf series 1 - 6. That's my kind of thing! I watch very little TV these days - too much else to do. --UU - natter 11:46, Mar 16

- Really? For not liking the same TV show as you? Wow. ;-) If it helps, I like very little TV, and what I do like is mainly comedy. Mock The Week, QI, Have I Got News For You, Yes Minister/Prime Minister, Red Dwarf, The Young Ones, Blackadder, and that's about yer lot. If it's not on that list, I probably don't bother with it. Hate and distrust away! --UU - natter 11:08, Mar 17

Are you doing Unsignpost now or is Puppy still doing it?[edit source]
I wanted to put in something about IC, if possible. I know IC has gotten a lot of press lately, but this time I have something that's actually important. King of the Internet Alden Loveshade??? (royal court) 03:48, March 15, 2010 (UTC)
Also is there an easy way to post the same message on 40+ people's talk pages? Yes, I know how to make a template and cut and paste, but with all the people in IC that can take me a while. I figured as you've been doing UnSignpost you might know a way. King of the Internet Alden Loveshade??? (royal court) 22:15, March 15, 2010 (UTC)
- I believe a bot is used to deliver the Unsignpost. I think recently it has been this one, so MrN will probably be able to give you the most useful answer, not that UU would not knowledgeable and powerful as he is, this is just what I know about it. Delivery: bots are the easy way to hit 40 talk pages, and I'm happy to admit I know fuck all about bots. MrN is definitely the man to ask. Politely, natch. --UU - natter 09:07, Mar 16
- Yea! Ask that MrN dude! Or... Do what I did... Find out what "AWB" is. Get onto the interwebs and read stuff about it, and internet bots. That Wikipedia place has lots about AWB. Doing that will lead you to the place where you download AWB from. When you have done that, dick about with it a bit and then you will get to the point where you get a message which says that you can't actually edit the Uncyc wiki cos you need to be added to the page of users who run AWB on Uncyc. If you can get that far, you probably know enough about the subject that you are able to run a bot yourself. That's what Mnbvcxz did with his bot, and look at all the hot chicks he gets because he's got his own bot! MrN 10:52, Mar 16

What do you make of it? It seems that Pelargonium created all the redirects so maybe he knows. I wasn't sure what to do with it, thus I'm whinging to you instead of leaving it alone. --ChiefjusticeWii 13:34, March 16, 2010 (UTC)

UnSignpost 18th March 2010 (on time as always)[edit source]
Just like Grandma used to make!
Mar 18th, 2010 • Issue 80 • Hold the line! News isn't always on time!
VFS: it begins
Leading the popular vote at present is long-serving poopsmith and kvetcher RabbiTechno, gaining a seemingly unassailable lead by being helpful, friendly and competent, and by promising to bake cakes for all who vote for him - a ploy which may well have snared the support of more than just the odd swing voter. In a comfortable position just behind the Rabbi is lengthily-monikered Belgian workhorse Sockpuppet of an unregistered user, the joint Uncyclopedian of the Year for 2009, who seems to be gathering followers by being helpful, competent, friendly, and doing loads and loads of stuff. This cunning stratagem has obviously endeared him to the denizens of this wiki, who seem to be propelling him towards having his own banstick. But hold on, who's this coming up stealthily behind Socky? Why, it's pee review supremo and scourge of vandals everywhere ChiefjusticeDS! The Chief is steadily accumulating backers through the cunning tactic of being competent, helpful and friendly. He also rules PEEING with an iron fist, and spends inordinate amounts of time cleaning and tidying up the place, facts that have led to him coming within striking distance of the leaders in what appears to be a three-horse race. One thing is clear from this - all 3 of the most popular candidates appear to be helpful and friendly, which this newspaper finds unacceptable - where is the next Famine going to come from? where will we find an admin willing to infiban users and delete all their articles just for looking at someone the wrong way, or for being Kip the Dip? Also nominated, and receiving some support are current Writer of the Year and greatest person in the history of all things ever Hyperbole, diplomat by Uncyc appointment to all religions Optimuschris, canine broadcaster and damn fine journalist PuppyOnTheRadio, allcaps-named VFD machine SPIKE, confirmed female on the internets Zana Dark, easy-to-spell feature-machine Guildensternenstein and jaded old-timer Necropaxx. Other people have been nominated without recording a score as yet, but as this article is already long enough to have the editor wondering how many filler boxes he can dream up for the right-side panel this week, they just appear as a brief list: Mnbvcxz, Cajek, Gerrycheevers, Syndrome, The Woodburninator, Why do I need to provide this?, Charitwo and some bloke called Mhaille. Will any of them pick up a sympathy vote before the end of voting round 2? Positions vacant. Yeah, my bad. That Randomness Online game wasn't huffed, I was thinking of a different one. Maybe you should restore that subpage I mistakenly put on QVFD. Or not. Either way is good with me. :D -OptyC Sucks! CUN20:16, 19 Mar
- Ah, that page sucked. I'll let them recreate it, if they can be arsed. Of course, it would have taken less effort to recreate it than to type this, but it's not always about the effort, it's about, er,dicks lol? Oh no - that's Mordillo's talk page. --UU - natter 20:25, Mar 19

As I understand it, they are much prized in the Russian Urals for their hard-wearing qualities, and the possibility of finding a week's food in the pockets. Mass Effect 2[edit source]
Wow. Huge improvement, except for that ridiculous scanning for treasure minigame that takes an age if you're trying to do it properly. Orian57 Talk 00:33 21 March 2010
- I thought you'd like it - combat's a little more Gears-ified, isn't it? And I don't mind the scanning, although I'm the kind of patient, methodical, boring person who wouldn't. It annoys me a lot less than trying to coax that fucking Mako up certain vertical landscapes. --UU - natter 20:49, Mar 21
- I was watching my friend play ME2 and in between combat and running around trying to get into the crew's pants (I remarked on the sexual attraction of everyone in this galaxy), he enthused over mining planet after planet and I wondered what it was that upsets the loom of boredom in that segment. --
- Oh I can be methodical, and patient, I completed Mass Effect 3 times in a week. I just don't think it's nescessary or (more importantly for a game) fun. Finding the best possible way up a clifface at least required you to use your head and look at the beautiful alien sky. Can't wait to play as my female character and seduce Garras! Although the irls in this game are at least likable unlike that cretin from the first one. :D Orian57 Talk 00:11 22 March 2010
- I used a female character in Fallout 3 and in that one brief sojourn I decided to peruse World of Warcraft just so I can complete my life quest to partake in all activities available. -- 00:49, March 22, 2010 (UTC)
- Well, from my point of view right now, it's something I can do that doesn't involve shooting or explosions, and so is perfect for when I'm holding a sleeping daughter... --UU - natter 07:58, Mar 22
- Aww. I suppose the closest activity I have to that is nursing a vicodin addiction during FIFA or LBP or MW2 or whatever. -- 10:30, March 22, 2010 (UTC)
- Oh yeah... You used to be cool. Although I finished the story last night and it was fucking amazing. Gutted that Thane died but he was dying anyway, I don't see why it's such a big deal, I should still get the achievement. oh well, I can get it on my insane pplaythrough. toodle pip. Orian57 Talk 09:58 23 March 2010
- That's OK, I wasn't still on my first fucking playthrough or anything. I'm happy to have spoilers. --UU - natter 10:00, Mar 23
- Oh shit sorry. I thought you were done. knowing you he probably won't die on your playthrough anyway. it was because I'd screwed something up earlier. I'll say no more, spoilers will ruin everything. But oh my god seriously it's spectacular -- you'll cum. Orian57 Talk 10:06 23 March 2010
- Exactly so fear not UU, Orian has spoiled nothing, my ending was completely different to his. --ChiefjusticeWii 10:12, March 23, 2010 (UTC)
- Oh, I'm sure that will be the case, but I've worked damn hard to avoid any spoilers so far, so having one dropped on my talk page really made my day, y'know? Normally, having had the game this long, I'd be on about my fifth play, but between work, the baby, and trying to fit in some sleep somewhere, I can only grab 20 minutes here, 10 minutes there, and creep through it ssssslllllooooowwwwllllyyyyy.... (And as already mentioned, a lot of the time I do get is spent scanning, because shooting wakes UUette up). --UU - natter 12:47, Mar 23

- I was watching my friend play ME2 and in between combat and running around trying to get into the crew's pants (I remarked on the sexual attraction of everyone in this galaxy), he enthused over mining planet after planet and I wondered what it was that upsets the loom of boredom in that segment. --

I want to talk to you about video games as well, but I feel I deserve my own header because I'm special like that.[edit source]
I keep reading you saying that the combat in Mass Effect 2 is "Gears Of War-ified". What do you mean by that and why is it a bad thing? The Gears Of War games are the most fun shooters I've played on the X360, especially in co-op mode (my wife loves them as well). -OptyC Sucks! CUN21:06, 23 Mar
- Simple: the cover system is better implemented than in ME1. It's also much more important to make use of it. Now, there's nothing wrong with that for a lot of people, particularly those who liked Gears of War. Problem is simply: I didn't. I couldn't get on with the necessity of finding cover and ducking out and that shit. Still find it a bit of a chore, TBH. Some people agree with me, some don't - comes back to the whole "subjectivity" thing I like to bring up. Folks like you and Orian will much prefer the ME2 combat, I have just learned to tolerate it. --UU - natter 21:13, Mar 23
- Ah. I did indeed like the cover system, but to each their own eh? Have you tried Army Of 2 (or the sequel) yet? They're also very fun shooters, though I haven't played either of them solo. The co-op modes are supremely fun for two players and the wife and I can easily sit down and play for a couple hours at a time. -OptyC Sucks! CUN21:28, 23 Mar
- hmm, I'm not sure I liked it in ME2, partly because it wasn't as well done, I keep sliding off things and getting shot for no good reason. I liked gears of war, though, for it's story firstmostly and the fact the cover system was done better. Orian57 Talk 00:44 24 March 2010
- Hey, I didn't say they'd made it into GoW, just made it more like it. GoW annoyed me on a lot of levels, even ones as pedantic as the guy's name ("Fenix" would not be pronounced like "Phoenix", that would require a second "e", making "Feenix" - the "Fe" in "Fenix" would be pronounced like in "ferrous" or "ferry" or "feck"). But generally, I'm just not that into hardcore shooters; CoD, GoW, that kind of deal - not my bag. I think it says all you need to know about me that the last shooters I played to death were Goldeneye and Perfect Dark on the N64, and the Timesplitters games. --UU - natter 11:12, Mar 24

VFS reaches third and final round, Uncyclopedians bored to tears
Once again, the Rabbi appears to be in pole position, and there are rumours that Mordillo is already preparing him a traditional Jewish banstick, such is his current lead. Meanwhile, Sock and Chief are neck-and-neck for the second slot, polling three votes each currently. When he interviewed himself for this article, lazy journalist UU exclusively told us: "this reflects well on the site - we have three great, very strong candidates, any and all of whom would do a great job if opped. And a number of those who didn't make it to round 3 will probably make a much stronger showing next time. If there is a next time." All that remains now is to see how the final few days affect the vote, and who finally gets the supreme honour of being able to go delete every single page of shitloads of crappy games that have been nommed on VFD, and the like. Joins us next week for the "From Our Logs" new admin special, when we analyse their first bans, and watch as these new admins mercilessly ban the unlucky loser and abuse their new powers flagrantly. Hopefully. Top 5 Of-The-Months Become 90% Cheesier
Well known and completely badass user CheddarBBQ, known for his increasing his own self-image, and for being one of the coolest guys ever, has now set a record by being nommed for all four "big" nominations in the same month. Even more impressive, he has been nommed for these four without doing much of anything deserving of awards (besides the aforementioned alleged coolness and/or badassedness). The always tasty Eyetallyan snackfood has been able to hold tightly to last place in each one of these all month. When asked about his newfound record, the great man/food had this to say: "I always knew I was special. The bag of cheese curls that I referred to as "Mommy" for 15 years would tell me so on a regular basis. Also, suck it bitchez." Of course the amazing record-breaker would think well of himself, so we went elsewhere, to question his adopted son, Momo. When asked about the excitement over the record, Momo claimed, "Papa De La Rosa is, like, the greatest dad ever, I used to have so much fun with him when I was little. Ya know, he once left me inside an oven when I was a baby, went for a beer and got me out the following morning. That was fun, I'm tellin' ya. And when I was 4, he left me in an amusement park, went for a beer and came to pick me up a whole week later. I spent that week with that nice guy who kept touching my ass.. Good times.. When I was 7, he took me for a beer. And by the age of 14, we were running our small liquor-smuggling business.. Oh yeah, he's a great guy." Curiously, his comment did not much relate to the matter at hand, yet it was deemed necessary to include it anyway. It appears to be abundantly clear that Cheddar is a marvel of a man whom we can all look up to. In other news, it appears that Don Chedds is about to set another record by being the first Uncyclopedian to drastically lose all five major awards in one month. It appears to be abundantly clear that Cheddar is a marvel of a man whom we can all look up to. Here's to you, CheddarBBQ. Oh yeah, and some other people had something to do with it as well. Note: The writer of this article has decided that a fact check as to whether or not either of these are true records would be unnecessary. |

I was going to add Category:Christian images to File:Godpissed.png and found it's been protected from being edited by a non admin since March 6, 2007. As you're one of God's representatives on Earth, could you remove the protection or at least add the category? Thanks. Father WHY??? (confessions) 04:01, March 26, 2010 (UTC)

- All joking aside (if that's possible here), categories make it much easier to find images to use for articles. I was looking for religious images, and found there wasn't even a category for them (at least not that I found), so I made one, and made a couple sub-categories (we had one for Jewish images but not Christian images, oddly enough). Fill me up, I've forgotten: which part of my rant(s) do you disagree with? That nothing can be gained by not voting against pointlessly? That's half understandable. If you disagree with my premise, that is - that gang voting ruins some of the spirit of the place. Anything else there? -- Style Guide 14:30, March 31, 2010 (UTC)
- We've been over this before, your views are still yours, my views are still mine, and I see no point in repeating them while we butt heads and get nowhere. Which is why I've deliberately avoided saying anything in your latest
re-hash of the same pointsforum. FWIW, I do agree that more variety in features would be a good thing (there have been some decent "different" examples, and I'd suggest you might have missed a few of them, but I agree we could stand to see more). Unfortunately, I disagree with some of the articles you suggest might help (that "christian" thing, for example). As to the "gang voting" thing - I still don't see where you think this happens. There are some poor articles that I think have been whored to the front page, but if something is voted down, I don't think it's due to a gang mentality so much as people genuinely not liking an article, and not wanting it to be featured. And that, I repeat, is an opinion they are entitled to express. Shit, so much for not repeating my point. --UU - natter 14:44, Mar 31- Well - maybe I'm just plain wrong then. Who knows. But I didn't point the Christian thing as an example because I thought it was a particularly good article. I did it because, and only because, it had almost an equal number of for- and against-votes. What do you make of that? Seriously? That one side was wrong and the other side right? -- Style Guide 15:18, March 31, 2010 (UTC)
- No, I think that both sides were "right". It comes back to subjectivity, one of my favourite words. That article is not a great example, as you acknowledge, but there are some articles that just polarise opinion. They may well drive off as many new editors or readers as they attract. Who knows? But the straw poll of VFH is the best indicator we have, as long as people take it seriously. And so it is with this argument - we're both right, for a given value of right. Why not stick around and encourage a few people to take those risks you want to see? Find some of that variety for us. ome of it will get voted down, that's the nature of the beast - but I think the best of it will get through, and that might have a snowball effect - see what happens. Or you could announce in the forums that you're off in a huff again - your choice. --UU - natter 18:04, Mar 31
- Digging up stuff for people to vote down is too annoying and time-consuming. I basically started the forum to check out whether anything has happened since last time (I think, I'm not always clear on my motives). Nothing much seems to have, so I just decided the place is too popular for its own good or something. A lot of assumption there, of course, but that's the way I feel. I won't announce anything this time though; it was not rewarding enough. -- Style Guide 18:23, March 31, 2010 (UTC)

- Well - maybe I'm just plain wrong then.
Okay - I'm stuck[edit source]
I did come up with something for USP, but Mordillo suggested otherwise as it may antagonise. I'll let you make the final call, because to be honest I have nothing else. The article is somewhere - kept nicely hidden until now. It all comes down to this being the punchline. If you want to use it, it's yours, and tomorrow we can change it to actually point out that this is mostly bollocks, but there is an issue with the skins that's being looked into and resolved. Nominally Humane! some time Wednesday, 21:02, Mar 31 2010 UTC
- Yeah, I discussed it with Mordillo off-wiki, and suggested he mention it to you. I understand exactly your intentions, and I find it funny, but this topic tends to be a drama magnet at the best of times, and until there's a resolution, I think it's best kept in Pandora's box with the lid secured. That said, now you've posted the links on my talk page, with all the traffic i get, it's almost a moot point. Bottom line: I find it funny, but the drama potential leaves me thinking it should be saved until we have a definitive outcome re. the skins. Unfortunately, that leaves me needing plenty of material to fill up this week's paper. Guess one final flogging of the dead VFS horse is due then. Thanks for the idea and the effort, I really appreciate it - hope you understand why I'm taking the option to not use it. --UU - natter 08:49, Apr 1
- Well, given that you already knew about it, that kind of blows the idea out of the water. I'm keeping the coca-cola page as is though - it'll never be a feature, but I like the humour in it. (Besides, the info is actually there for people to find, just nobody has either followed the dots like I did to come to the completely wrong conclusion.) But yeah - I'm stuffed for a story idea for the next little while, unless I get hit with a flash of inspiration. You've got VFS, and I have no undramafiable reporting up my sleeve. Nominally Humane! some time Thursday, 09:40, Apr 1 2010 UTC
- Well, the only way I ever come up with USP articles is by the use of my favourite inspiration: last-minute blind panic. I'll come up with something if no-one else does. I hope. --UU - natter 09:47, Apr 1
- Oh, and I've tidied up what I'd left behind, so unless someone was excited enough to actually check it out over that 12 hours or so, or unless they're an admin, it's dust in the wind, dude. And please, create underuser@gmail.com and save me this issue next time! puppyontheradio@live.com.au

Gerry's gone[edit source]
Gerry's gone and he isn't coming back. We've lost another good one, UU. I am very sad. Dust in the wind, all they are is dust in the wind... • • • Necropaxx (T) {~} Friday, 01:51, Apr 2 2010
- Necropaxx is the most gullible person ever. Also, UU, I should stop watching your talk page so intently. 19:49, April 2, 2010 (UTC)
- Oh I is just as gullible. And HELPME, you have a long way to go before you reach Orian's level of involvement on this page. --UU - natter 21:01, Apr 2
- Maybe I'll be the new Orian. I certainly have the credentials. 01:44, April 3, 2010 (UTC)

Let's start this bit afresh[edit source]
Despite appearing an unwieldy character lately, I brought this idea up again, since it is by far my best one. In case you want to participate in setting the office up, you're welcome. I brought it to you first hand probably since I don't want you to think I'm all drama, and because you always respond despite differences. And because of those differences, your input would be valuable. -- Style Guide 06:30, April 2, 2010 (UTC)
- Thanks for asking Multi, and I don't think you're all drama - I appreciate where you're coming from (I have this terrible affliction of seeing both sides of most arguments, and then still sticking with my own). I'm going to keep out of this though, largely because my activities on here are in fits and starts these days, as my daughter is taking up most of my time. I really don't have the time to get involved in many projects - I want to work on a collab with Syc, I've suggested a collab to Sog, and I still want to get back and do some pee reviews, and I'm not even finding time for those right now, so adding this to my list is just not happening. I wish you all the luck in the world with it though. See you around the wiki. --UU - natter 21:00, Apr 2

For your vote in VFS and as promised last time |

You may be wonderin' why I ain't buyin' yer some naff cocktail wiv a funny name - troof is, I can't stand the
poxy fings. You may also be wonderin' why I'm talkin' like this - well my son, I'll tell yer. I just put that posh-nosh
gayboy stuff on fer the public, yer see. A man's gotta make a living.
Nah, let's get dahn the boozer and get pissed.
From "Big" Noel Coward.
Thanks[edit source]
Thanks very much for your vote on the blowing the dog page. That was a surprise nom for me, out of the blew blue on that one. And you comment was on the mark, that we should vote for what makes us laugh. My own reflection in the mirror makes me laugh, but would it make the front page? Never know. Thanks again, appreciated. Do you know about her strength and convictions?/ Or how she puts all her faith in religion?/ Did we take the time to really discover,/ how little we know about each other?
This song is amazing. It makes the Digimon Movie. I thought I'd share it with you because you'll almost certainly hate it. Also how's the the whole fatherhood thing working out for you? Recommend it? Orian57 Talk 23:47 3 April 2010
- You're one in a crowd and you're paranoid of every sound, another friend you won't miss anyhow... Best thing Less Than Jake ever did by a country mile, that. It's actually on my MP3 player (along with 5347 other songs). No idea about this Digimon movie, mind you. Morning Orian, how are you? Fatherhood is a constant worry, a humungous learning curve, the most difficult thing I'll ever do, and the most amazing thing that's ever happened to me. Just having her fall asleep on my shoulder makes the entire rest of the world not matter any more. It also seems to be inspiring my writing - only 0.5 of a feature to go before I win our race to 20. I say "race" - you haven't even been trying. C'mon, write something! ;-) --UU - natter 08:32, Apr 4
- Hey, wait a second. Your last feature was "an old Quasi-feature of mine" - so you haven't been trying, either. ;)
- I said it was a race to 20 features. I said nothing about how I'd get there. Also, I only started the bloody thing to get Orian to write something, so I'm not deeming it a huge success right now. --UU - natter 09:00, Apr 4
- I think his days doing this "work" thing are behind him. Frankly, I don't understand what was so appealing about it in the first place. ;) 09:02, April 4, 2010 (UTC)

- YAY! We like a song that is the same song! The Digimon Movie is awsome, go watch it. It has some really good music in it. It's good if you like/liked Digimon but, personally, holds a few good memories. So I spent most of the other night searching for music from it. Bah, I'm considering a re-write on teacher, because it's just a giant cliche at the minute. Also have to get round to that Mass Effect re-write I promised. I will see if I can get a feature from somewhere, just struggling with getting my ideas from my head to paper in tact. That or they just look rubbish on paper. Orian57 Talk 10:17 4 April 2010
- Also glad to hear the whole making babies thing has worked out for you, I'm hoping to adopt sometime in the far off distant future. Orian57 Talk 10:36 4 April 2010
- Oh we probably like a bunch of the same songs - since I stopped giving a shit about what may or may not get me considered as "cool" and just concentrated on whether or not I liked the songs, I've developed a rather broad musical spectrum. Including jazz, rather worryingly. (But not R'n'B - some things are a bridge too far). Never got on the whole "mon" bandwagon though, Digi or Poké. I'm sure there's a lot of fun to be had with an article on teacher, and I'm still waiting to see what you'll do to Mass Effect - Ashley's square arse and all. Just write something! ;-) The first step to writing something funny is to write something. --UU - natter 20:51, Apr 4

Congrats. (Seriously, when I saw this, I thought '"Video Killed the Radio Star," first music video on MTV--why didn't I think of this as an article?') King of the Internet Alden Loveshade??? (royal court) 01:56, April 5, 2010 (UTC)
- TBH, when I first saw it on the rewrite queue, I wondered why I hadn't thought of it as an article. Then I looked at it, and it sucked so heavily I figured I could piggyback someone's good idea to glory (an approach I take quite often - have a look how many of my features are actually rewrites!) And it's not showing off exactly - I'm genuinely surprised to be in such rarified company given that they are so much better writers than me! --UU - natter 13:45, Apr 5
- I didn't really mean you were showing off; that was just my tongue-in-cheek way of congratulating you. But if that many of your articles got voted to be featured, somebody must think you're good. King of the Internet Alden Loveshade??? (royal court) 00:08, April 6, 2010 (UTC)
