Forum:Five years ago today
I've just been thinking about the one year ago today - Given that we are on our fifth year shouldn't we include 5 years ago today on the main page as we do with one year ago today to celebrate the birth of uncyc? The first FA was 23 March (both kitten huffing and Ireland, to be exact) so we have a couple of days for this to be put together. Any thoughts? Puppy Saturday, 05:19, Mar 20 2010 UTC
Here you go. Probably not enough space on the front page to be filling it up with old features though. • Spang • ☃ • talk • 05:40, 20 Mar 2010
- {{FA2.dpl}} tidy up.
- For.. And you could just put this and the one year ago today above the vacant Imperial Colonization template, and if need be extend the DYK. Problem solved, yeah? --EMC [TALK] 06:41 Mar 20 2010

- Very for Any way to show features to a new audience, yes. I was wondering why the main page only had 'one year ago' when it could also have two, three, etc. But adding five years ago is a very good idea. And looking at the pot & kettle page, what happened to category:Justice, it seems like a good category name. Thanks for bringing this up, Aleister in Chains 2:58 21 3 mmx
- Because we live in a land with no concept of justice. -- 14:59, March 21, 2010 (UTC)
- Good idea. I think featured articles from five years ago have a slightly different sense of humour to nowadays where anything gets featured. --
- So, this new article you're writing will be titled "anything"?--
- It already exists. But we can all edit it and make it a feature. Let's get those new noobs to work on it too, the featured one and the lady. Even the guy who worked on his one paragraph page for a year. Al de'chain 15:17 21 3 MMX

SirPaizuri / Talk / Contribs / Crap / 14:35, 24 March 2010 (UTC)- I find it bizarre that all the articles that have appeared on the template up top are articles I recognise from reading years ago. I say do this before all the good articles are gone. -- 14:37, March 24, 2010 (UTC)

One, two, three, four, and five years ago today
Just fixed it a little, seeing as it was added in... thought I'd make it more inclusive. Whatevs. • Spang • ☃ • talk • 04:48, 25 Mar 2010

SirPaizuri / Talk / Contribs / Crap / 04:56, 25 March 2010 (UTC)- Thanks, Spang. I figured adding in a broken version would spur someone into action. Cheers.--<<>> 10:47, March 25, 2010 (UTC)

- You're welcome! Also 2006 isn't missing, there just wasn't a feature on March 25th in 2006. The first one (one year ago) will always show - if there wasn't a feature on that day, it'll use the day before it, or the day before that - but the first 4 years will only show if there was a feature on the exact same day that year. Deal with it! • Spang • ☃ • talk • 01:55, 26 Mar 2010
- 2006 Lives! Thanks for the explanation. This whole thing is such a good idea that it has, imnho, brought the value of the front page up an entire notch. I intend to read many of the features listed from past years, learning from our ancestors. Aleister in Chains 2:08 26 3 mmx
