PLS Judging
PLS Judging
I'm sending you this because you signed up to judge the Poo Lit Surprise. If you no longer want to judge or are incapable of doing so, please tell me as soon as possible. If you're still good to go then here are the instructions:
First, read all of the articles and look at all of the images submitted. Second, judge them. Judge how you like, as long as it's at least fair and based on merit (one suggestion would be to use the Pee Review format). You, as the judges, have the sole authority to pick losers, winners, and disqualify entries, so please read the PLS rules carefully before judging.
Post your top 5 entries here for all categories except the Best T-shirt Design. For the Best T-shirt Design category just say which ones should be t-shirts and which ones should not be t-shirts.

- It really depends on what. Mostly we vote, since we have too many users to talk it out, we had some chaotic dramas in the past regarding some votes. Re:Top 10
Yep, I've got it all planned out. It'll go similarly to how it went last year:
- Voting closes at Midnight GMT January 31st (or 7:00 PM today in my time). At that point the votes will be tallied and Honorable mentions (11th through 15th) posted while Spang's code and whatnot is prepared.
- We'll open discussion for... uh... what were we going to discuss again? Whatever we're going to discuss, it'll be open for discussion for Jan 31st - Feb 1st or 2nd, at which point consensus will be reached on whatever we were going to discuss.
- Feb 1st or 2nd, depending on how much discussion we actually needed: Queuing starts, going from 10th then 9th, 8th etc. For ties, flip a coin and queue whichever one first.
With each queuing, we add the article to the Official list. We don't put them all on the list to add to the suspense, even though anyone can just look at the voting page and figure it out for themselves. Still, it's the principle of the thing. This sound good? -- 21:32, 30 January 2008 (UTC)
- Sounds good! Except for the discussion part, I think we got a consensus, more or less, for what you described no?

Brief opinion required
Hi there good sir, I hope I find you well, and in a fine mood as the impending weekend draws ever closer!
In my insecure way, when I start an article I'm not sure about, or which I think may tickle my sense of humour and mine alone, I like to get an opinion on it from someone whose work I appreciate. And as you would appear to fall into that category, could I trouble you to take a brief look at this, and let me know if you think it will work or if it's likely to be a waste of my time? A 30 second glance and a couple of words are all I require.

Is it normal for one to constantly remove reviews and comments from a pee review? I'm curious because I left a comment and it was promptly deleted without any explanation and it seems that he's never stuck with a single review and instead chooses to delete "bad" ones until he gets a good review. Then again, I could very well have no idea what I'm talking about. --| - F N M - | | - B a n a n a ? - | 01:46, 12 February 2008 (UTC)
- Normal...well, I wouldn't say it's unacceptable, although I would have contacted you about it. There are guidelines towards reviewing an article and your review was quite short and not according to the acceptable format. I think he is looking for a in depth review, not necessarily a positive one, but just a through one. You might want to drop him a line about it and read the guidelines review on the pee review main page. Brigadier Sir Mordillo GUN UotY WotM FP UotM AotM MI3 AnotM VFH +S 11:36, 12 February 2008 (UTC)
- Although the review that subsequently appeared took much the same view, as did the comments I added to it. AE is quite keen to get himself a feature, and I think he sees this as his best shot, so he's really keen to get in-depth reviews. But I think it was a bit much to delete your comment without a reason - as far as I'm concerned, any feedback beyond "it sucks, make it funnierer" is helpful, and should always be kept in mind. Still, we'll see what he does next! --SirU.U.Esq. VFH | GUN | Natter | Uh oh | Pee 11:53, 12 February 2008 (UTC)

- Got to agree with you on that Mr Mordillo sir... To me, a revert creates the impression that the reviewers comments where "without worth". Typically reverting anything around here is looked on as something of an insult. Now we all know that was not what AE was intending in this case, but it could appear as such to someone who did not know what the norm was for a PeeReview. I think I will change the review guidelines to reflect this... If you get a particularly bad review (eg this arikle SUX cok/gay/British), then it's OK to revert with a suitable comment, and then possibly a message left on the talk page of the reviewer. For me, I think if you want to re-submit a good faith review, you should go through the process of creating a new request. If you can't be bothered to do that, don't revert. Oh, you know I'm not complaining about you AE. This is not in the guidelines right now, so I hope you don't think I'm having a go. I will have to make the changes later though... - I wasn't able to reply last night. I was really busy. I reverted because I was looking for an in-depth review as the others have said. I wasn't looking for a brief comment from someone who missed the joke of the article (this is nothing to be ashamed of, people miss jokes all the time). In addition, the ranting was brought up on the past VFH so I tried to cut down the ranting, but I could only cut down the ranting so much as the exaggeration IMO is what makes the article funny. Obviously Fat Americans aren't much (if at all) a threat. As for not using an edit summary, I thought it would be dickish to use one, so I didn't use one. In the future FNM, please be patient, it might take a while for me to reply, but I will reply eventually. -- 22:12, 12 February 2008 (UTC)
- Isn't the point to be funny to anyone, no just people who understand inside jokes? And I did get it; I just thought it was more offensive than it was funny. I was commenting, not reviewing. - It's not really an in-joke even though it is a spork of a deleted article. I tried to make it so it is understandable to everyone, but naturally, not everyone is going to get or understand the joke. I didn't ignore you, I just disagreed with your opinion at first so I reverted though I shouldn't have done so per the discussion above. You did make a good point FNM and once again, I'll try to remove the offensiveness. -- 01:05, 13 February 2008 (UTC)

Hello again
Yeah, me again. I'm becoming a regular on this page, really. Still, there's worse places to be a regular. Anyway, just to check: the VFH queue has dipped back below 20, but that alarming green template is still in place. I've found something I wanna nom - will I get bannified if I so do?
Oh, and I hope you find the review handy. And I knocked up a quick image that I bunged on UN:PIC - see if you think it would fit at all.
And I've got one hour to kill before the weekend, and I suspect it will drag more than the rest of this week combined. Any suggestions? --SirU.U.Esq. VFH | GUN | Natter | Uh oh | Pee 16:00, 15 February 2008 (UTC)

- Well, great minds think alike, that alarming green thing was just taken off :). As for the review - it was very helpful thanks! I just didn't get around to thank you yet. I was wondering, you think that if I add more sections it wouldn't be too long? As for the pic, it's a bit unfocused I think. Could you maybe take the one I used on the final section and put a silouhette of a person leaving on the glasses? As for the weekend - I say try coffee. And lots of it. It takes you time to brew, to drink and to absorb, and will pass the hour much better! Or, you could make that image :) ~ 16:05, 15 February 2008 (UTC)

VFH questions
I know martial law is over for now, but are users allowed to remove noms? Currently, I haven't been remvoing articles unless they're invalid or have a score of -3. Are there specific guidelines on removing artricles? In the past, I've removed articles that are below 50% health, but I'm not sure if that's to high for removal (or if there's a higher number). Thanks for your time. -- 19:42, 18 February 2008 (UTC)
- I usually remove articles that drop under 40% when we're going more or less above the 20 articles on the page. I don't remove anything that is above 14+-, even if the health is low, since this is the featurable margin, roughly. Golden rule, if you're not sure, don't remove, and leave it to us. ~ 20:03, 18 February 2008 (UTC)

- I edit Wikipedia a lot. Mostly under the Iraq War. And no, I edit anonymously.
- What should we call it then, a moving armored vehicles on wheels. But seriously, an APC is a transport vehicle that is lightly armored and has machine guns on both sides and the top for some defense while traveling through dangerous areas. And if that was an APC, there would be a machine gun on the top. Depending on the model of course.
- You misunderstand things. I voted against for a reason I didn't understand until AE told me some of the ropes, then I changed the vote reason to something a little less offensive. I did not fight with him in any way possible, I just complied. And the second article, well I nominated Alberto Gonzales for VFH cause I think it's one of his better works and has potential to be featured. And if you look at it, Fat Americans is a decent article with a good premise but the fat jokes makes it seem old. We haven't seen comedians talk about fatties have we?
- Look. The military blocked everyone from accessing Uncyclopedia cause "They insult and mock our mission in Iraq."

Suggestion regarding the Insignia != NXWave question
Since user Insignia would like to maintain his position that he is not NXWave, I have a suggestion. Perhaps you could ask Insignia to agree to adhere to the following 2 rules for a certain period.
1. No nominating articles for deletion.
2. No interaction in any way whatsoever with AE or his articles.
If Insignia is who he says he is, he might agree to this as a way of assuring people that he isn't a sockpuppet of an infinitely banned user. Why am I suggesting this ? I've been intrigued by the NXWave saga mainly because his unusual behavior seemed somewhat like narcissistic personality disorder at times which you don't see very often. My suggestion is therefore meant as compromise solution to avoid possible drama and/or a potentially interesting experiment in human behavior depending on how you see things. Any thoughts ? Sean.hoyland - tak() 12:09, 28 February 2008 (UTC)
- I have a polite response for both of those.
- 1. I've nominated what? 3 articles for deletion and I think I did pretty good. I got MPAA kept, reverted, and protected so that no IP can ever touch this article and ruin it like before. And have you seen Pie boy and Goatopia. I stand my case, they're both horrible articles. I disagree with you taking away my privilege to nominate articles for deletion. Cause I nominate 4 articles a day and most of what gets nominated is crap anyway.
- 2.
“Ya know, I'm out. I came here expecting to read and write humor and enjoy, but it's not at all fun or funny with the everyday drama, trolling etc.”
- It's on the top of his user page now, but it's sad cause he never got to finish Alberto Gonzales, and no, I'm not going to finish it for him. I'm just going to leave it untouched. But seriously, I miss AE already. He had a good article, he knew what quality was around Unyclopedia and got what was unnoticeable articles that were good featured. I'm just basing this on his contributions, but I did leave a message on his talk page and I appreciate all the work he's done on Uncyclopedia.
- I will not agree on the "No nominating articles for deletion rule." But I probally will agree to stay away from AE and his articles for a certain period of time. That I :can agree on. Also on a side note, I wouldn't want to be opening Pandora's Box would I? -- 19:48, 28 February 2008 (UTC)
- I'm afraid to say, Insignia, that if I decide to impose any restrictions upon you I will not be asking for your consent on those. I will not do so, at the moment, since I don't have cutting proof that you're NXWave, even though I'm quite certain that you are. Like I said, no restrictions shall be made but you can assume that I'm watching every move you're making here and if you are, in fact, NXWave, and when you slip, I'll be there to see it.
On a side note, Sean, thanks for your thoughts, but I'll keep the status quo for now.~ 20:24, 28 February 2008 (UTC)

Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo
Hi! First of all, I would just like to ask for apology if my contributions was interpreted harmful for the Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo article. I would just like to clear it out that I am not 210.213.69.246 nor I support any of his actions. I am very sorry if this allegation reached to you one way or another. I also want to apologize for having Filipinos to be either judgmental or has crab mentality infecting Uncyclopedia, aside from just plain vandals. I hope this IP issue would not destroy my credibility as a registered user of Uncyclopedia.
I would just like to clear it out that I am not a vandal. Even though I am just starting in Uncyclopedia, I would also like to take care of my reputation. I am not also causing "drama" in this scenario. If my edits hurt you one way or the other, then I am sorry. I didn't expect that my simple edits will go a long, long way until explaining to your talk page right now. If you think my edits and contributions is wrong and inappropriate to the article, then ban me, please. I would rather take a ban rather than insults and demolition jobs from other users and contributors, especially Filipinos. Apologies. --Kapuso 10:05, 1 March 2008 (UTC)
- No need to apologize. I didn't actually think you were a vandal (I didn't think that IP was one as well...). Just thought that you might settle this issue with the other Filipino users. This certain community within Uncyclopedia seems to be a bit sensitive, even more than us Jews :) ~ 17:36, 1 March 2008 (UTC)
I just want to clear it out that I do not intentionally insult or harm Filipino users in Uncyclopedia in my edits. I do not like what is happening within us and the Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo article. If these Filipinos are sensitive, I also want to stress out that I am also a sensitive person (obviously enough) that is also hurt of what is going around here. I would also like to take this opportunity to express my respect to Jews, Filipinos, and other races. I am not a racist, but I hope these people belonging to such race would be sensitive enough to others as well. And I hope these people would not show the negative traits of their race to other people as a sign of respect to their own race and to other people that would notice these traits as well. I also want to tell you that I am willing to cooperate and help fix this problem regarding the Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo article.
Just a question, am I prohibited to edit articles in Uncyclopedia in good faith especially if the article was created by me? Are there articles that specifically prohibits me from editing it? Thanks! --Kapuso 18:07, 1 March 2008 (UTC)
Seems that is too late. Well, I would expect more and more criticisms because of the simple edit that I made. I am human, so it would be natural for me to be hurt. I really love Uncyclopedia, and it really made a memorable experience for me! I just like to ask a simple advice for you what to do next. --Kapuso 18:14, 1 March 2008 (UTC)
- You're not prohibited from editing anything really, we only protect articles that seem to be a source for Drama. For this article, I'd say let the dust settle a bit and try to work on something else for a while. ~ 21:32, 1 March 2008 (UTC)
- I understand the message you have sent to me. In any case, I'm purging most of whatever flak I have with Kapuso and offering my apologies to him as well. He can have the Gloria article, but I don't want to be accused of "crab mentality." Thank you. --MidwayHaven 02:53, 6 March 2008 (UTC)

Kapuso Issue
I saw your comment in MidwayHaven's page. I am airing this to you just to give credit where credit is due - this is not a drama or anything.
If you check the Gloria page history, Kapuso did create the page. However, it was tagged for a rewrite that's why MidwayHaven and I (most of it was MidwayHaven's handiwork) decided to rewrite the material. Kapuso now owns the article and it's for pee review - to which 99% of the material there that he claims to be his are not. You can just see the difference in the handiwork when you compare MidwayHaven's version from Kapuso's 2006 version.
MidwayHaven decided to VFD and I suggested a permanent CVP the article to end the issue once and for all. We were quite surprised when the article was transferred to him.
Midwayhaven and I are active and well behaved editors here in Uncyclopedia, and our logs speak for itself. We spend our time in the shadows for quite some time just writing stuff. We broke our silence just now after Kapuso entered the scene. We were taken aback by Kapuso's arrogance and behavior on the revert war, insisting his edit (quite frankly, it is NOT funny, believe me, I know Filipino humor even if he claims what he's doing is Filipino humor). We let good edits stay in the article, just as long as it doesn't mess up the continuity of the humor. We even rearrange the format for others without damaging their additions.
This is where I'm going, if you are going to transfer the ownership, please transfer it to MidwayHaven. Or just kill the article and leave it permanently CVP'd to avoid further drama. That's what I did to the Philippines article when a certain user started a drama.
I personally don't know MidwayHaven but we've been in collaboration ever since he started and he's a good fellow Uncyclopedian. He knows what is funny and never mess up the work of others - he complements the existing material.
As for Kapuso, I'm a little bit suspicious about him. You just go on rampaging into the Gloria article after a 2 year hiatus. There's something not right about him, but I'm quite sure that he's the IP dude if you base the consistency and the uncanny resemblance (if not identical) of his edits. He is also the "Janice Lozada" sockpuppet (Dsweetheart08) that keeps recreating the article. I won't be surprised if he's the one doing the drama in the old Philippines article discussion page in 2007. I may be wrong.
I have aired this to squiggle, having mistaken him for an admin.
Just my two cents. Whatever you decide is fine by us. Just as long as Kapuso never screws up our article by adding nonsense. Don't get me wrong, he is open to edit our work anytime, as long as it doesn't mess the spontaneity and of course is should be funny. --Gilgal1(Talk to me bitch!!!) 11:14, 6 March 2008 (UTC)
You have several misconceptions here. There is no such thing as "article ownership" no do we transfer those rights between users. We, as community, usually recognize some rights of the original writer over the other editors, to an extent. This is usually based on being polite to each other rather than setting strict rules about it. What happened here, as I understand it, is that the article was VFDd, and Kapuso asked for a version to be restored to his space for some work, or just to keep it, and perhaps rewrite it, that's all. Putting something on pee review doesn't mean you own the article, it means you want some feedback on it. Even though it's usually done by the author, it's not unusual for other editor to ask for a pee review. There isn't much I can do at the moment since Kapuso isn't acting in bad faith, as far as I can see it, if you get into some sort of a dispute again, drop me a line and I'll try to sort it out, best if you just all stay away from each other. ~ 10:02, 7 March 2008 (UTC)
- And, though I abhor drive-bys, I think Mordillo would agree that it would probably be best to stay away from that page as well, without discussing your edits with Kapuso. - Yes we agree with that. We are staying away from his article because we have said our piece. But his sockpuppet (Dsweetheart08) still messes up with the Manila article. I just hope he does the same thing too. --Gilgal1(Talk to me bitch!!!) 09:05, 10 March 2008 (UTC)
- How do you it's a sockpuppet? ~ 09:10, 10 March 2008 (UTC)
- Take a look at his edits, the links to the Janice Lozada article (which was recreated twice or thrice) and Gloria article, and his edits to the Gloria article that is in Kapuso's user page, and Kapuso's activity coinciding with the creation of Dsweetheart08's account. That's how I know it. The only way to know sockpuppets in multi IPs is the circumstances and similarity of the edits isn't it (correct me if i'm wrong)? The same way it was assumed that NXWave and Uncognito are one and the same? You know what, I'm not going to pursue this anymore. It's just futile arguing about this issue. --Gilgal1(Talk to me bitch!!!) 11:24, 10 March 2008 (UTC)

- Yes. That's exactly what I'm saying. But now with more details (feel free to not read this part, seriously): I had reverted a revert you'd made under the mistaken assumption that you probably made the revert under the assumption that it wasn't what I wanted (alternative hypothesis that only briefly crossed my mind: you hate my Marty article), with the intention of after reverting and responding to the original of researching why you originally reverted. (Instead, and I was completely aware of this at the time, I should have first researched and then reverted, but I am a bad person.) However, shortly after my re-revert, MrN9000 thoroughly confused me by providing a completely nonsensical and wrong reason for your revert, which sidetracked and train-wrecked my research, but then, while I was dealing with that, U.U. did my research for me, as he seems to be less easily confused, unless he's only giving himself 10 seconds to make a judgment. Anyway, it's unimportant, and just offered as explanation for some needless edits. If you don't follow me (which is probably your best bet), it's also covered here where 2/3rds of the people involved are not me and probably make a bit more sense, even when they are wrong and confused. --monika 00:15, 15 March 2008 (UTC)
- If I might just interject... I did apologise for the "wrong" reason given at the time on your talk page before you replied to me. Rather odd that you still posted the reply. After noticing my mistake it became obvious to me why Mordillo had done the revert, but I did not consider it appropriate (at the time) to discuss this matter, suggesting that you contact Mordillo in person. You now appear to have put the review back to the state which I suggested originally [2], and I wish you luck getting a better review. MrN 00:56, Mar 15
- Sorry if I sounded like I intentionally didn't acknowledge that you figured it out and stuff. (You didn't explicitly say that you figured it out, just that you'd realized you were originally also confused. So I was confused.) I posted what I had written already because I was still kind of hoping for an explanation for what you meant by that line, since it seriously seriously seriously confused me. And I was also (see post script of post in question) somewhat confused why you'd think something as deliberate as adding in comment tags and a comment inside them was accidental. I am still confused. --monika 01:06, 15 March 2008 (UTC)
- My reason for not mentioning the SOC in question was because this issue is of particular sensitivity, so I just referred you to Mordillo who has been dealing with it. Regarding why I removed your comment tags... I was just trying to help. It's the convention to use the Pee Table template, and I have not seen a review before which has not used it... I hope that you are now not confused. MrN 01:36, Mar 15
- I'm still confused, but that might be partially the fault of my insomnia meds kicking in. The table I'd removed in hopes of encouraging the reviewer to review outside the box, as I was hoping for a different kind of review. I'd left it there commented out to facilitate using it anyway. And also to prevent confusion in case anyone thought I did it accidentally or without thought. I have a thing for deliberateness; it comes easier to me than clarity. --monika 02:47, 15 March 2008 (UTC)

My friend Joey article
The page got deleted some 5 minutes after I created it, while I was still making corrections to it. While I would appreciate more than 5 minutes to properly finish the article, there wasn't much lacking from it and now I'm just wondering why you decided to delete it. Was it just so badly written, shitty and humorless that you found no value in it? Or did you just believe the first sentence that said it was an article written about a friend, schoolmate or schoolteacher etc.? Unless it was deleted due to the first reason, I humbly ask you to read it carefully through and decide whether it has sufficient value or potential. 84.250.123.208 22:12, 16 March 2008 (UTC)Unregistered Rascal
- Yeah, sorry bout that. At first glance it looked like another vanity article, which is clearly not :). Carry on, but make sure you improve it. I placed a construction tag on it to give you some time. ~ 22:18, 16 March 2008 (UTC)
- Ok, thanks. Probably needs images, but I don't feel I can improve much on the text, unless I put it on Pee Review.
- Well put it over there then....And you can use UN:PIC as well. ~ 22:29, 16 March 2008 (UTC)

VFH
Mister Mordillo, not too bothered about seeing it removed from VFH, but can I ask why just a few hours after Micky the Mong got another For vote it was removed from VFH? I thought there was something in place to give articles a chance if people are still voting on them? -- Sir Mhaille (talk to me)
- The bloody health system it was, got all coughing and sneezing all over the place. It was way below the plausible chance of getting a feature in this round, even if we consider the currently poor status of the VFH. Let me checkit again. ~ 09:17, 17 March 2008 (UTC)
- Yep, sorry bout that, I didn't notice he had another vote just before the closing, even though it didn't do a lot of change with regards to the health system. If you think it still got a chance, feel free to restore it. ~ 09:20, 17 March 2008 (UTC)
- Not too bothered, but I think other people might be in the future. Should be some kind of stay of execution if an article is still getting votes, seems that the old system used to allow for articles on a "slow burn" far more? -- Sir Mhaille (talk to me)
- I think that as long as the VFH is as slow as it is, we can adjust the health template again to let those burn a wee bit more. ~ 16:12, 17 March 2008 (UTC)
- I say we go back to Darwin. I understood it perfectly well, and the only reason it was changed is this and some Village Dump post where it was almost unianimously changed. - I do think it is worth mentioning that the person who started complaining about this proclaimed themselves "trite." Just a touch of humor in that.-Sir Ljlego, GUN VFH FIYC WotM SG WHotM PWotM AotM EGAEDM ANotM + (Talk) 18:01, 17 March 2008 (UTC)

Why do you keep deleting good, funny articles? If you want to do nothing but delete funny stuff, go to Wikipedia. You should only be deleting articles if they are very offensive or if they are just stupid rather than funny.
Please stop deleting good stuff
