Borneo
Borneo is an island located in Southeast Asia, people claim that Borneo is the third largest island in the world after Greenland and New Guinea, among the people who claim this are Xi Jinping, Tunku Abdul Rahman, Joko Widodo, Prabowo Subianto, Donald Trump, Sukarno, Suharto, Hassanal Bolkiah and other great sovereign leaders in Asia.
Borneo has been ruled by many great kingdoms, from the Hindu-Buddhist era to the Islamic era. But this island seems difficult to start modernization. Why is that? Let's discuss!
Historiography[edit | edit source]
Borneo separated from the Great Sunda Plateau about 2.5 million years ago, its location far from the Gulf of Mexico where the meteor that wiped out the dinosaurs made it a safe place and many dinosaurs fled to Borneo to protect themselves and eventually they forgot to evolve. In addition, there were also ancient humans such as Pithecanthropus erectus and Homo floriensis. The first modern human to set foot on Borneo was Wawan the Ancestor, who sailed from Anatolia and landed in the southern part of Borneo. From the cross-breeding of Wawan's descendants and ancient creatures in Borneo, other humans were born, the Elf, Valkyrie, Dryard, and Dwarf races as forest guardians. Humans established kingdoms and municipalities, such as Kutai, Sulatanate of Banjar, Empire of Brunei. Meanwhile, Elves and other races take on the role of guardians of the forest and the World Tree.
After the colonial era ended, Borneo was divided into three by the founders of Malaysia, Indonesia, and Brunei. They fought over the island like children fighting over legos, and divided the island like a pizza, you kids.
Geography[edit | edit source]
Borneo Island is located in the middle of the ocean, between China, Javanesia, and Australia. This geographical location makes Borneo difficult to reach because China has banned visits to Borneo because there are many dangerous ancient animals such as Qilin or Dinosaurss that are not yet extinct. Meanwhile, Australia has sent expeditions to Borneo over the past two centuries, but they have mysteriously disappeared. To this day, very few people have visited the island.
The central part of Borneo is the Schwaner Mountains, which contain ancient creatures and large Orangutan species that you could never imagine. Dinosaurs still live in the central part of Borneo, and are commonly caught on camera by local residents. The eastern part of Borneo will be made the new capital of Indonesia, named Capital City of Nusantara, and will later become the political center of Indonesia, if it really happens... if it doesn't happen, well, never mind. The Western part (both Southwest, West, and Northwest) of Borneo is the truly jungle side, with a fairly calm contour. It is on this western side that flows the Kapuas River, the longest river on the island, carrying an entire ancient ecosystem from the Archaean and Jurassic periods. The city of ghosts Municipality of Padang 12 is also located here.
In Borneo, you will find the Tree of Life, or World Tree, or perhaps what is called Yggdrasil, or what the locals call Edan Kaharingan ("Branch of life"). This tree is believed to be the support of the island of Borneo, the habitat of dragons, and the lungs of the world.
The southern side of the island is a vast swamp and mysterious jungles, one of which might catch your attention is the Seruyan Palm Oil Sea which is a vast area built under the small monarchy of Darwan Ali. On the south side is the ghost township of Kalap, and the Tanjung Puting National Park which is home to many Orangutans and other large ancient animals caught by the locals. The southeast side is the more developed side, with Banjarmasin as the center of power and regional development. This area is also the site of a former ancient monarchy Sultanate of Banjar and the mysterious country State of Saranjana.
The most developed region of Borneo is probably the northern region, currently led by Brunei and Malaysia, Indonesia's rivals. Don't ask why, Brunei is a rich country under the Bolkiah monarchy and Malaysia is rich enough compared to Indonesia to fill its citizens' stomachs to the brim. Oh yes, the highest mountain in Borneo is Mt Kinabalu located in Sabah Malaysia.
Administration[edit | edit source]
Borneo was fought over by the British and the Dutch in the 18th century and is currently fought over by Indonesia and Malaysia. They are still arguing about the ownership of Borneo. Emperor Sukarno of Indonesia believes that Borneo belongs to Indonesia, while Tunku Abdul Rahman says "no, Barney is ours!" Maybe they were Barney's boyfriends so they loved him so much.
Anyway, after the war, Borneo was finally divided into three, like a pizza:
- Brunei
- Indonesian Borneo (or Kalimantan)
- Malaysian Borneo
And so, the war ended... yeay.
However, there are several independent demon states such as Kalap, Municipality of Padang 12, and State of Saranjana that control their respective territories.
Demography[edit | edit source]
Today, most of those living in Borneo are migrants who want to experience what it's like to meet ancient creatures like dinosaurs or test their mental a little by making eye contact with ghosts. One of the famous Borneo ghosts is Kuyang, which takes the form of a woman's head flying while carrying her internal organs (heart, lungs, stomach, and intestines). Kuyang usually roams around to eat newborn babies. However, for the indigenous people of Borneo, the Kuyang are the biggest source of income because they can harvest the Kuyang's organs and sell them at high prices on the Darkweb and Deepweb. Because of that, the Kuyang in Borneo are highly discriminated against because they are often hunted and packed into sacks to be sent abroad through illegal channels.
Besides, fantasy creatures also live in Borneo. Creatures such as Elf, Harphy, Valkyrie, Dwarf, and Dragon are also commonly found in Borneo. However, most of them are only found in Indonesian Borneo because the forest there is more beautiful.
The native population of Borneo includes the Malays Brunei, the Dayaks (including Apokayan, Kenyah, Kayan, Bahau, Ot Danum-Ngaju, Iban, Murut, Klemantan or Bidayuh and Punan), as well as Banjar, Sabah, Sarawak, Javanese immigrants (including coolies, traders, corruptors and kongkalikongs), and ancient humans. A large number of large orangutans and dinosaurs are native to Borneo.
