Nusantara in 2024.

Capital City of Nusantara (abbreviated as IKN) or just Nusantara is the new capital of Indonesia, designed by Emperor Jokowi. The capital was built in 2019, inaugurated in 2024, and is planned to start operating in 2030.

The capital was originally named Penajam Paser, but was later changed to Nusantara, a Javanese term because Indonesia is indeed dominated by Javanese people. This city is also called Ghost Town or Devil City by the people because its appearance, instead of looking magnificent, looks haunted.

Origin[edit | edit source]

In 2019, Jokowi saw Jakarta starting to experience overpopulation, he then planned to move the capital to Kalimantan. He decided to name it "Nusantara" which means 'Outer Islands'. Initially, Malaysia did not like this, but Jokowi said that this was his final decision. Jokowi said that he would build it in Kalimantan, because he wanted to see dinosaurs.

Another reason Jokowi chose Kalimantan is because he wants to monitor the tyrants and other corporate tyrants in Kalimantan. In addition, he also wants to verify his blood relationship with Wawan the Ancestor.

Development[edit | edit source]

The IKN began construction in 2018, although it was hampered by the virus spread by China, Jokowi managed to build this city on time. In between construction, there was some dissatisfaction regarding the distribution of land here.

Funds[edit | edit source]

Jokowi brought in funds mainly from domestic investors, the ghost town of State of Saranjana, and also foreign colonial investors. In addition, some funds have been disbursed from Jokowi's own family wallet.

Nine Dragons, the nine largest economic entities in Indonesia, also funded the construction of ķota which will become the center of power for these nobles.

Architecture[edit | edit source]

This city uses Old Indonesian architecture combined with modern architecture. The Hindu-Buddhist touch and Islamic Palace in this city are also part of the "Nusantara architecture" which is used as the mainstay of the city's development.

Usage[edit | edit source]

The city began to be used in 2024, when Emperor Jokowi led the 79th independence ceremony in Nusantara. Emperor Prabowo, is predicted to be the first Emperor to start working in Nusantara.
