User space articles

Hey WohMi, I saw your comment on Interstate 80 and went ahead and moved it to your user space (I kinda messed it up at first, but I'll spare you the boring, embarrassing details). The article is now titled User:WohMi/Interstate 80. Interstate 80 is now a redirect to the article in your user space. To create a page in your user space, you can type in User:WohMi/newarticlename in the search bar. It'll be a little different from the red link when you search for a non-existent page in the main space. You'll get a message saying "There is currently no text in this page. I disagree with a redirect from Interstate 80, therefore sent the redirect to QVFD. We shouldn't lead casual readers to articles under construction. Except that can create attribution issues. You would have to say, in your edit summary, Copied content from User: WohMi/Interstate 80, see that page history for attribution . If that gets deleted, then all attribution is removed. Be very careful, copyright issues are a big issue and persistent editors will have to be blocked. Actually, Gale5050, you are the one who needs to be very careful with the way you go around acting like you know everything and bringing up things like copyright issues (this is not a copyright issue). Uh huh. May be worth seeing this, this among other things. WP and Uncyclopedia literally use the exact same licence, Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike License. There's no problem if there are two articles of the same kind. If there is a video game, just make a different kind of game. Or do something specific like: A history of love affairs during the Falkland Islands. Or a day in the life of Thatcher during the Falkland Island war. Or the history of a bullet from when it is first designed, manufactured, shipped off to the Falklands and then shot from a British gun into an Argentianian's heart. Uncyclopedia has been on a growth spurt as of recently, and as such, we are introducing a brand new feature to the table tonight: Huggle! Yes, the same tool you know and love from Wikipedia has made its way into the Uncyclomedia Foundation's impenetratable walls.

I must admit I was a little sad to see you make that change, your talk page was kind of an instant classic. Welcoming spambots

Hi WohMi,

I would strongly encourage you to wait until a given user has at least one legitimate edit before welcoming them. This is to make sure that a user isn't a spambot; those appear quite frequently, and often hit the abuse log a few dozen or hundred times before vanishing. I do not want to be forced to blank a spambot page before CU-blocking them!

QVFD tool/gadget

Yo. To use the QVFD gadget/tool to QVFD the crap your reading, click on/hover your cursor over the "More" button. It should be in between "View history" and the search bar. Then click QVFD. It'll open up a small window in the middle of your screen that lets you add a comment. Then click save or whatever (instead of cancel, unless you want to cancel). It will then either tell you that it has been added to QVFD or tell you that the article in question is already there (though this could mean it was put there a long time ago, huffed, and recreated). The rest of the images appeared tastefully sexy I guess. I'm not sure this is the kind of website that needs a bunch of pictures of nude females. If there were a bunch of pictures of nude males you would probably feel just as offended. I find particular offense with string thongs and up-ass shots. Feel free to save the image on your desktop.

Yeah, that image is not porn. Those girls aren't nude. And just because something is offensive doesn't mean that it needs to be removed. I'm trying not to sound like a dick, but as you said, this is a comedy website. And in many cases being provocative can be funny. Obviously we shouldn't be overly offensive, and there are certain cases where things need to be removed because they are too offensive, but I don't think this is one of those cases. QVFD is definitely the wrong place for an image like that. Go ahead and put it on VFD if you like. Personally, I didn't expect it to be too good, I just wanted to fix an otherwise crap stub.

Also, I feel that the poorer articles that seem to have some effort deserve the most review. They need the most specific advice, and I actually tried to put humor in there, but I failed badly. I tried to use ironic humor twists and making things "ironically funny".

I feel that higher tier articles deserve less of a review as they are already good. The article Medieval Marginalia is an unattributed and unauthorised copy of the Spoon version originally posted here at https://uncyclopedia.com/wiki/Medieval_Marginalia. As per long standing arrangement, writers are free to publish copies of their own work on either Uncyclopedias. This is not one of those occasions as the main writer is Sog1970 with my own additions to the text. It works the other way if someone here did the same on the Spoon. I don't think sanctions are necessary. Simply warning then blocking has been working pretty well. If he tries anything like vfding your user page and/or all of your articles again, I'll block him for at least a week. While CoolKidz has been a little annoying/disruptive here and there, he also appears to be here in mostly good faith, making actual attempts at funny articles. He also appears to be getting followed and harassed by at least one user from some other wiki, DeeDaaDooDOS, who seems to be here only to mess with him, so I kinda get his frustration. Still, taking it out on you like that was lame, and he won't get another warning for something like that. MrX blow me 18:02, 9 November 2021 (UTC)
