Failed Interstate highways numbered 180 in Wyoming (above) and Illinois (below).

180 is the worst number ever for a highway to have. Any highway with this number is doomed to fail. The number 180 directs motorists to turn about-face and go back the way they came from.

As part of Interstate 80's failed auxiliary routes, Interstates numbered 180 include...

The I-180 that is in Wyoming but also goes into Illinois[edit | edit source]

Interstate 180 in Wyoming is the worst Interstate ever. Not a single part of this highway can be qualified as an interstate; it has traffic lights, at-grade intersections, and homeless people just like any other highway that is not a freeway. Apparently, Wyoming just wanted to feel important enough to have a three-digit interstate, so they slapped the number onto one of the roads in Cheyenne.

The I-180 that is present ONLY Illinois[edit | edit source]

Interstate 180 trying to slither its way towards and spread sin onto the blameless Interstate 80.

The I-180 found only in Illinois does not exist. Anyone telling you it is either a government co-conspirator, or a sheep. Contrary to unpopular belief, I-180 is merely an extension of Route 51, also known as "Killer 51". Route 51, being the creeping mass of cancerous, vine-like tumors it is, is currently trying to latch more of itself onto I-80. When locals began to complain that their yards were beginning to be filled with a slowly-creeping mass of concrete and cars were driving into their houses, the government merely waived it off as DUI's and, instead of shifting the blame onto the already-guilty Route 51, decided to make up a new interstate (even though there was ALREADY an I-180) and shift the blame on it.

Other states[edit | edit source]

Other Interstates numbered 180 include one in Nebraska, which will soon be totally absorbed into US Route 34, one in Pennsylvania that has its exits numbered the wrong way(because of course it does), and one in Alaska, which, like every other road in Alaska, is known for being on Ice Road Truckers.
