Happy, as much as I appreciate your feedback on this, I have to respectfully argue the point. At the time that YTTE wrote that (I'm assuming is was YTTE anyway) he was creating a portal to show of the best of gamespace at the time, not the entirety of it. Some of the gamespace is worth preserving as it's funny and quality - Zork, Abyss, Pick Up the Phone Booth and Aisle, Oliver Twist, are examples of good games where the reader is kept entertained as well as having suitable gameplay. Both OptyC and I are in favour of trying to preserve what is good in game, but trying to keep gamecruft for the sake of a sarcastic note written a few years ago is a little extreme. By all means keep the funny, but kill the cruft. (Especially since re-writing that page is one of the items on my ever-growing list of "Things to do".)
