The exact result of pressing the "End" key is unknown, although it is commonly believed it will send a meteor to your house. Hence why it's called "End". The end. It's over.

“This is the end, my only friend, the end”

– Jim Morrison on The End

End is one of the most dangerous keys of a computer. If you press it you will be transported to the end of the world. It is, in fact, a form of time travel. It often includes a protection from accidental pressing: once it is pressed, you have 5 seconds to press the ESC key and escape the situation, if it hasn't already legged it.

On a Mac, it makes your computer feel the need to put your boots on, kill your father and make sweet, sweet love to your grieving mother.

Just for your information, when you press the key with ALT key, you can select alternate routes to the end of the world.

The End

End Credits[edit | edit source]

On a movie screen, after a feature film, the END will show up. As endless as they are, it will end for You. You were shoved into a crowded theater complex, possibly paid a month's salary on some crappy snacks and a watered down soda and were seated in a bad row of seats next to Satan. This is how an End will come about. The only difference is, you can walk away from it after being robbed, poisoned, and physically tortured and will possibly need to wash your eyes with bleach because there's gonna be something in the movie you wished you'd never seen.

Then there's the before the film begins, where the ads and previews go on and on. And on some more. But they end, you will have hopefully used the time to go to the restroom. If not, you're gonna have to miss whatever part of the movie would have explained the numerous plot holes you've already annoyingly encountered.
