As a side note, you could have easily avoided the jaggies if you had just kept the image in it's original PNG format and left that white background out. That's assuming you edited the image in a program like Photoshop or GIMP, though. I suppose it can't be helped if you used MS Paint. — KneeChee 00:42, 27 May 2009 (UTC)

Have I ever mentioned how much I hate it when people say things like "WIN" and "EPIC FAIL"? Who started that? Come on, show yourself. --Hi, hey! I'M A MOTERFUCKING NIGGER BITCH LOVER 18:22, 17 May 2009 (UTC)
It started off with using a quick word to declare victory in online RPGs or FPSs and etc, when the gameplay is mostly fast paced, so there is only a few seconds to type something quickly. Typing "yes" doesn't fit the bill as it does when it's actually shouted, so "win" came into fruition. The usage of "epic" derives from film cuilture, which is one of the most lauded, yet popular subjects with meme-users, as in "epic war film" or such like. It often accompanies "win" or "fail" because of the powerful sense of a word so few in letters. "Fail" seems to have generated notoriety because of the multiple images displaying a particular fault in humanity or nature. In the same way as "win", it's a short word and acts a 'red stamp' to be used instantaneously to describe the occupants of the image. Anyway, I could be wrong. ---kun "whisper sweet nothings into thine ear..." 00:36, 18 May 2009 (UTC)
What I don't get is that the opposite of win is lose, while the opposite of fail is succeed. Explain that, professor smartypants. --Pleb SYNDROMECUNmedicate(butt poop!!!!) 03:55, 18 May 2009 (UTC)

Against. I sometimes think people overreact to images that use text to accentuate a joke, but that's usually because they just see text and automatically assume that it's the intended source of humor. This, however, is a text based joke, seeing as, without the text, it would just be a screenshot from an episode of the Stargate SG1 television series. There was no manipulation of the image itself, just a black frame thrown around the screen-cap and a weak joke placed at the bottom. — KneeChee 23:48, 31 May 2009 (UTC)
