Funerals[edit source]

"If you go to another person's funeral, they'll be sure to come to yours"... I think it would be funnier to say "they won't come to yours" -- or something along those lines, but phrased better.--Ahmed the Jewess 04:42, 29 Jun 2005 (UTC)

That's the whole point of the joke, put it this way, "if you go to another persons party they will be sure to come to yours," but in this case it's someones funeral so there's no way they can come to yours. - seeker

Dontcha hate having to explain punchlines? ;) --OEJ

I'm used to it now, I have an idiot of a brother... --Seeker 05:32, 18 January 2006 (UTC)

Never mind[edit source]

Never mind I found out what stubs were, new question, how do I get a table of contents? Does that just appear whenever you make lots of articles? - seeker

A table of contents appears when there are four or more sections in an article (i.e. text set off by =Title=, ==Title==, etc.). You can introduce a table of contents to a page that has fewer than four sections with the command __TOC__. --Rcmurphy 23:05, 29 Jun 2005 (UTC)

Thanks for the help, another thing what does =title= do opposed to ==title==. Does it make a new page completely? - seeker

=Title= is the highest-level heading - the biggest, basically. ==Title== is smaller, and ===Title=== yet smaller. At this point experimentation has broken down, but it is conjectured that ====Title==== is even smaller. Using varying levels of headings lets you nest subjects in the table of contents - so if you have one =Title=, you can put multiple ==Titles== under it. Check the table of contents for Romania for an example. It says:
5 History
5.1 Heroes
5.2 National Anthem
A big heading was used for History and smaller ones for Heroes and National Anthem. --Rcmurphy 00:28, 30 Jun 2005 (UTC)

I'm Back[edit source]

Hi, yes the heading says it all...I'm back. Who...no, I already know, no one missed me. Actually, I doubt anyone actually knew me...You are probably thinking right now ", Who's this sad fool," (most probably in those exact words) - seeker

looks around Hello? - seeker

Hello seeker - how's it going? -Berek 11:56, 18 Oct 2005 (UTC)

Why, hello kind soul. How'd you find this page? I didn't honestly expect people to be reading this... --Seeker 10:28, 3 Jan 2006 (UTC)

You'd be surprised to find out what we do read.... -- Sir Mhaille Icons-flag-gb.png (talk to me)

Wow...I'd better be careful about what I write from now on. But that would take some work...Australians weren't made for doing serious work...I'm just gonna take my nap now. - --Seeker 11:18, 3 Jan 2006 (UTC)

Why?[edit source]

I've just noticed that many of the pages don't tell you how many people have visited any more...why? I enjoyed that little counter that told me how many people had read my articles or other people's articles. Hell, I could sit there all day and watch the numbers slowly climb...well, not really. But still, why have so many pages lost their counter-thingy. --Seeker 01:21, 11 Jan 2006 (UTC)

The team of Uncyclopedian Pixies who run the inner workings of the site have gone on strike, demanding more pixie juice and socks. Until this is resolved the counter-thingy will not be appearing on the pages. Administrators and trained negotiators are currently dealing with the situation, and it is hoped a resolution is at hand. -- Sir Mhaille Icons-flag-gb.png (talk to me)

Damnit...can't we get any of those elves from the TV to fill in while the pixies are on strike? --Seeker 00:31, 12 Jan 2006 (UTC)

While everyone has been incredibly "helpful" on the matter...no one has explained yet whether the counter-thingy would make another appearance. Wow, I hope I just made a totally unimportant question sound important. But seriously, what gives? --Seeker 09:52, 17 Jan 2006 (UTC)

I think the majority of us are hoping that the visit counter will be making a return to the pages, if only to polish our egos with the knowledge that "my article has more visits than yours". The issue seems to involve an upgrade to the system, and some other weird technicalities.....hopefully its something that can be brought back. -- Sir Mhaille Icons-flag-gb.png (talk to me)

Yes, ever since this counter thing has gone, people have been all like "my article has more visits than yours," "my article is bigger then yours," and "she was all over my article instead of yours." And the problem is you can't prove them wrong! Oh, except for the "my article is bigger then yours", we can always tell who's article is bigger by whether they need to buy a fast car to compensate. --Seeker 10:08, 17 Jan 2006 (UTC)

Does Australia have one?[edit source]

I was just browsing through other users when I came across a template for everyone who's from the UK. I thought, "Brilliant! I've got to get me one of those," I was in the process of putting it into my User page when I realized I'm from Australia. So my question is, is there an Australian template/category which I can use to proudly remember my nationality? Or should I just pretend to be UKian for the time being? --Seeker 02:49, 18 Jan 2006 (UTC)

Has existed a while --Splaka 09:35, 19 January 2006 (UTC)
Also check Wikipedia:Template:User en-AU and adapt. Note link back to Uncyclopedia - David Gerard 09:43, 19 January 2006 (UTC)
Why wasn't that deleted ^_^. --Splaka 09:54, 19 January 2006 (UTC)

Well, I guess that makes me officially 'Stralian now. --Seeker 00:20, 20 January 2006 (UTC)

Why, again?[edit source]

Well, not really again, but now I'm getting impatient. If that counter thingy doesn't appear on my screen tomorrow...I'm gonna light a candle and cry! Yeah, you heard me...what's that, am I bluffing? Who knows, who knows...Well, of course I know, but do you? *Sigh* I'm going to have my nap now. --Seeker 09:56, 26 January 2006 (UTC)

How do you revert edits[edit source]

The heading pretty much says it all, how do you do it? Is there a button or do you just copy and paste most of it?

  1. Click [History]
  2. Find the version that you want to revert to, click the date
  3. Click [Edit] on that page
  4. Put an appropriate edit summary in, like "reverting vandalism" or "restoring".
  5. [Save]

--Splaka 08:48, 3 February 2006 (UTC)

Oh, as simple as...simple stuff.. Cheers! --Seeker 08:55, 3 February 2006 (UTC)

Damn Jesus[edit source]

My last two articles (Trout and Happy) were related to Jesus in some way or another. God, I think I'm becoming obsessed with making fun of Jesus. I probably should join some kind of atheists organisation...or go Jehovah Witness bashing, either is fine by me. Unfortunately my new property is too far away from the gate so I haven't made fun of a Jehovah Witness for quite some time. --Seeker 07:12, 18 February 2006 (UTC)

Friendly hello[edit source]

Just saying a friendly "hello" to the people of Uncyclopedia, it's been a while since I've posted anything and I'm all out of ideas for the time being...So, just feel like starting a conversation since IRC is blocked by my crappy ISP...So, um...Er...Ok, I was wondering something: In the past I've always started new topics in my own talk by adding a new heading at the bottom, but is that the unconventional and uncool way? Is it more conventional to add a new heading at the top of the talk page? --Seeker 07:53, 29 December 2007 (UTC)

And it turns out that eventually someone notices it... ~ Mordillo where is my TWO-INCH PENIS? 13:27, 29 January 2008 (UTC)

I'm noticed! Yay! Hi-fives all 'round! So would you put new topics at the top? Oh and nice user page by the way, I like what you've done with all the awards and pretty colours...Mine'll get there one day. I'm starting to get the hang of pretty colours now; see, notice all the red in the contributions list? --Seeker 14:17, 29 January 2008 (UTC)

P.S I stoled your scroll thing, hope that's fine by you...Oh, is there a way to change the background colour on the scroll? --Seeker 14:35, 29 January 2008 (UTC)

ZOMG, perfect!![edit source]

The picture of Glitch City is awesome!! Thank you so very much! Be assured that it will be used in the article.--Garionepsilon 08:49, 6 February 2008 (UTC)

Who?[edit source]

"They call me the Seeker, I've been searching low and hiiiiiiigh. Don't get to get what I'm after, 'til the day I die...." Oh wait, no, they call you the Seeker... Whichever, I like your work man, you're a darn fine 'chopper. Keep it up, we always need quality stuffs like yours (if only so people don't have to put up with tatty stuffs like mine!) Anyway, yeah, was your name inspired by that song or what? --SirU.U.Esq. VFH | GUN | Natter | Uh oh | Pee 10:14, 14 February 2008 (UTC)

Thanks! And, unfortunately, my user name didn't originate from a song, I just got in habit of using it whenever I was temporarily using forums to find things (eg. videos, games, movies)...Although now I wish it did come from a song, that sounds way more exciting then "used it in past forums". I think I might just tell people it came from a song from now on. --Sir Seeker Icons-flag-au.png (Call me?) |KUN|VFP| 12:39, 14 February 2008 (UTC)

PotM[edit source]

Congrats on the award. Deserved, I'd say. If you care, it also entitles you to call yourself "Sir Seeker", and a KUN now. Or not, whichever. Pippings! --SirU.U.Esq. VFH | GUN | Natter | Uh oh | Pee 10:31, Apr 1

Thanks for the userbox![edit source]

Thanks for the userbox el friendo. I birthed the Melbourne Uni article... I believe while "studying" for one of my exams and looking at the diary with the seagull on it... Seriously, what was with that? Yes, I am still a student. For some reason I picked a ultartra-long course and I will be here for eons. Are you still studying?
