In the interests of brevity, and to better differentiate those posts I care about from those that I couldn't give a shit about, I have split up my talk page into two sections, and given it a handy-dandy archive for old stuff. Please avoid editing my talk page directly, and use the links below to direct yourself to the correct location to drop an edit. Thanks!

Thanks[edit source]
...for going back and actually giving a full reason why you didn't approve of the main page. We get notes like "this sucks" all the time, and all that really gives us is a little wound to the ego, and nothing is improved. I help come up with ideas on a lot of our reskins, so feedback on what, specifically works, and what doesn't helps us make better ones. Anyway, thanks again for taking the time for a full critique.--<<>> 20:34, 8 April 2007 (UTC)

EugeneKay -- Whilst attempting to add a comment to the Norris vote I kept getting a message claiming the the spam filter would not allow posting of the topic because it detected the letters "http:/www.fuck". This was part of your post on www.fucknorrisfacts.com. I changed your post slightly to eliminate the external link and thus circumvent the spam filter, without (I hope) changing the informative nature of your comment.
I apologize for changing a comment you had written. I don't know why others haven't mentioned the difficulty with the spam filter -- perhaps the key was added after other posts had been completed and mine was the first to try to resave the postings. ----OEJ 19:08, 18 September 2007 (UTC)

Welcome to UnNews, EugeneKay/Chat, and thank you for contributing some crap, or otherwise attracting my attention. For a quick introduction about how you can write a decent or better UnNews article, please take a minute read our spiffy new Style Guide.
I am your humble servant (in your dreams), and if I may be of help to you, please leave me a note on my talk page.
You can win awards and prizes! You can become a better writer by subjecting your articles to the scrutiny of UnNews critique machine or UnCanninator shit article detection system. You can become a thorn in the side of Journalism as a whole. You can get promotions, ribbons, and free crockery! You can write stuff your mom would be ashamed to show her friends.
If you've submitted an article, and it's disappeared, I may have mercy-moved it to your user space. This means I've probably left a message on your talk page, likely in close proximity to this very message, explaining why.
Your article may have been tagged for ICU if it has significant problems meeting our criteria, or I may have deleted it because you did not register as a user.
Finally, maybe you just pissed me off. I mean, I know I'm a Roshi, and I'm supposed to be all "Zen" about everything, but I have bad days too, you know?
If you are interested in doing an UnNews audio, check this out.
At present, I create UnCartoons for UnNews all by my onesies, for better or worse. Now, I will never claim that I am a good cartoonist. Fortunately, the internet provides us a way to do all sorts of things simply and easily. I found Stripgenerator.com, a great site to create cartoons with a minimum of talent.

Cabal[edit source]
In response to you comment on my user talk page:
- In reference to your editing of Cabal, I have this to say: making an edit for the sole purpose of sending a message is childish, stupid, and annoying. If you'd like to have a conversation over the issue, consider the article's talk page or perhaps even my talk page, as I was the one to revert your edit. While I do recognize that the option you added was an edit likely made in good faith, the follow-up edit for a comment was definately in poor taste.
- Please note that I do not have your talk page on my watchlist, so please leave any reply here. Thank you.
Call it what you want and insult me if you like. I'd merely say that getting uptight about the way in which I conveyed my point to you, as distinct from the point I made, makes you seem utterly absurd to me. SmackBot 16:31, 13 October 2007 (UTC)

VFH/Virginia Tech Massacre[edit source]
Do you really think it's a good idea to threaten a user with banning so as to suppress criticism? We all prefer our own opinions but we have to put up with others'. Suppressing them doesn't change them.
Let's clear this up. What I am against is hanging a story on a shock headline when the story doesn't follow up. The notion of portraying a deplorable sequence of events as a choreographed play may be a good idea, but this example doesn't do justice to either the idea or the subject matter. What people will go there for is the headline and that's all they'll find. The result will be negative conclusions, outrage, and some hurt feelings.
The same applies to many other references to other shocking subjects, and the passage of time doesn't make it better. If the work uses controversial subject matter to no apparent advantage, then it's damaging; to the reader, the writer and the Uncyclopedia concept.
If you wish to express your views about my motives in future, then please use my talk page, as distinct from being seen to intimidate me. SmackBot 08:25, 19 October 2007 (UTC)
- I am not an administrator here, and I therefore cannot ban you. So there is no "threat" of a ban. There is a snide comment expressing my opinion that you should be, however.
- Personally, I would rather laugh over any subject like this one than cry about it. If you are dumb enough to click on something that is obviously going to be offenseive, you deserve to be scarred. This is the internet - you do not have to listen to people who are insensitive - you can go elsewhere. If you do think the concept is good, work on it some, or offer ways to better it. That's what the Pee Review system is there for.
- Besides, just putting Against without a comment is perfectly allowable in the VFH rules, and is always less controversial.
- EugeneKay wuz here (whine thank)
- Thank you for your considered response. Regarding your final suggestion concerning controversy, I prefer to express my point of view and shall continue to do so. SmackBot 18:09, 19 October 2007 (UTC)
Worst. System. Ever.[edit source]
Your "talk page" confuses me. Make it stop...
Anyway, actual business. I don't know what/if you were thinking when you left this note on L's talk page:
As the original author of this article I strongly request that it is restored to the previous revision, which was met with widespread approval.
I'm thinking that this is a misfire, but what was it intended for, if anything? —Hinoa talk.kun 22:11, 23 October 2007 (UTC)
- L's signature is a hot-button issue. I am of the belief that it should have the hidden link so people can tell who the HELL is posting when he does without having to look through the history for the exact diff. If you look at the history for the sig, I created it for him with that, but he took the link out. I let it lay, because it is not MY sig, but the recent edit & revert made it send me a pair of e-mails(his sig is on my watchlist... don't ask). Anyway, I was just sending him a message that I don't like it, but "on the sly", so to speak.
- As for the talk page, it's simple. Read the yellow box. Click the appropriate button. Read the header at the top. Click the appropriate link. I'll try to make it clearer. The reason it's at User:EugeneKay/Talk instead of User talk:EugeneKay is so the "no editing" tab-replacement works correctly. Long story involving double redirects, honest.
- EugeneKay wuz here (whine thank)
- Why not just use his talk page?
- For that matter, why not use your talk page rather than this convoluted system of subpages?
- I remember L saying that he likes his sig that way because it keeps him off the slut list. Splarka had his sig the same way, for that matter. It's in his namespace, so I'm of the opinion that what he says, goes. —Hinoa talk.kun 22:26, 23 October 2007 (UTC)
- Tried the talk page, he didn't like it. It's supposed to be a joke, if you stop and think about the absurdity of me asking for a revert-protect etc on a User: article not my own...
- It's not convoluted, it's split up into Chat and Thanks and Awards. I've re-worked the notice at the top for it to be more obvious. The reason I created the sub-page to begin with was my massive voting on VFH and the subsequent awards it generated, which crapped up my Talk page.
- I know. See the fact that it's a joke and a ribbing. As for the slut list, you can always just pretend it doesn't exist...

- By <choose><option>, do you mean all the subpages mashed into the first page? -- Thankful Kippy Share blessings Bountiful harvest 15:03, 3 November 2007 (UTC)
Well, the <choose><option> doesn't really work for me. The same goes for the people in the village dump. However, I have a one simple solution:
- We keep the <choose><option> stuff, but the links that you are supposed to click on actually refresh the page. Eventually, you will come to one of the options where the link goes to Cabal@home.

ICU[edit source]
Hi Eugene, I've noticed you're putting ICUs or pages still being worked upon. Generally speaking, try to avoid it, since the WIP gives you "immunity" vs. ICU, and will be deleted anyhow after 7 days once the WIP expires. You might scare off noobs that actually try to write :) Thanks! ~ 09:48, 14 November 2007 (UTC)

Sigs[edit source]
I am looking for some help with my sig. I see that you have got a sort of sub-template thingy in yours for the date and time, so that you can format them along with the rest of your sig. This is what I'm trying to go for here, but I'm not really sure what I'm doing. I think I've got it to work, but my question is do you have to manually type in the date and time every time you sign something, or is there a way to do this automatically? Garry's Mod[edit source]
Eugene, I saw that you stuck an ICU to my Garry's Mod article. I'm not sure what you meant by "integrate with Half-Life". --Crazee Boy, OMGFURRY
- Well, the topic is a half-life mod, and it's relatively unkown to the general populace. The subject is worthy of, at most, a section in the Half-life article, unless you can find some genius concept to make it long enough(and funny enough to the general readers). My suggestion is to condense it down into 3 or 4 paragraphs, drop the conversations, and put it somewhere in Half-life. Then blank Garry's Mod and turn it into a redirect to that section of the half-life page. I understand that some things are funny at the time, but aren't easy to explain. I've done that kind of thing myself. Please let me know if you need any help with wiki-code, etc. EugeneKay wuz here (whine thank) 17:46, 22 November 2007 (UTC)

Kate Smith and tag[edit source]
As a courtesy, I am letting you know that I am still working on Kate Smith and have removed your "ICU" tag. I will seek the counsel of my inner circle to punch up the article.
In the future, as a courtesy, could you let the creator know that you are placing such a tag on the entry? It would also be helpful if you could indicate on the articles talk page what you do not find funny about the article as variety of reasons may impact your opinion that can be addressed, if relative.
Personally I reserve the ICU tag for entries that are workable, but lack complete sentences, ideas or are totally written in a sophmoric tone by blind IP's. But thats me.

So... you comment that you would have QVFD'd something as you're voting for it for feature at VFH, and thereby call your QVFD instincts into question at the same time. HEY LOSER! Here's another semi-personalized (that's a lie) Merry Christmas template to add to the overwhelming pile you've got building up on your talk page right now. Have a Merry Christmas, or I'll come over there and make you have a Merry Christmas. | |
If you don't already have a pile of these building up, you're a hopeless loser that nobody on Uncyclopedia likes...sorry. Yours truly, RAHB |

Wow[edit source]
Good to know that there aren't cockheads overseeing every movement made around here like on Wikipedia, deciding what's useful and what's not on a whim and arriving upon revelations such as that if it doesn't have a picture it's shit. Equally good to know that no matter how fun something sounds like it ought to be someone else will find a way to ruin it for people who aren't them.– Preceding unsigned comment added by Primeoffense (talk • contribs)
