Template:Little Article

Keep	Strong Keep 70 articles? That would be because I regularly use this template. Rewrite suggests that there is something fundamentally wrong with the article which needs changing via a "rewrite". This template is nice way of saying that an article is OK, but it's just needs to be a bit longer. It simply encourages people reading the article to edit it. DO YOU THINK WE SHOULD DELETE {{stub}} ALSO? In addition, {{expand}} has a totally different purpose. {{expand}} has a 30 day stay of execution, and should only be used for new articles. This template does exactly the same thing as {{stub}} and I personally think that in many cases it's a much more effective way of passing on the same message. It does not add to a category as doing so would not be piratical. If I wanted the article to be added to a category I would use {{idea}}. 90% of our articles need some attention, should we put them all in a category? It is a confusing and pointless alternative to the rewrite tag that actually serves to prevent needy pages from getting help. Some articles need the extra attention more than others. We advertise some key categories in prominent places, and that's why they get the attention they do. When a user goes to say Category:rewrite they see a huge list of articles needing work. If we included say all the {{stub}} class of templates in a category (there are lots of different stub templates) then we would have a list with thousands of articles in it. A list with so many articles in it is less useful, as the attention is spread over a wider area. The point is to have a layered system which focus the editing effort we have where it is most needed. We use {{idea}} for the really good stubs, as we think that they have a good chance of becoming featured articles one day. This template works fine as a simple "edit me!" template for people who happen to find the page. We have to draw a line somewhere...
