Hello there! Thanks for your very kind comments on... uh... which page was it again? Sysop of the month, I think. I was wondering which article of mine you translated? And into which language? --Black Flamingo
- Hey BF...no problem...I meant it. IF you take a look at my contributions history about 18 months ago, you will see that I did a whole slew of edits on one of your articles. You reverted them and then I got pissed off and said something like "whatever, im sure theres nothing that would imporve it or whatever" and you we all like "yeah...it just ruins the flow or something like that, but I laughed at one part so I might like whatever" and I was all "whatever" and you were all like "yeah...okay...like yeah". Or something like that. Thats the article I translated (though I had to make more than a few changes as expressions are impossible to translate). --ShabiDOO 00:38, November 15, 2011 (UTC)
- Wow, you translated Salamander? That is so cool. So which language was it? I remember that young noob adding stuff to the article but never realised it was you. I felt really guilty reverting it though so I'm glad you stuck around! And yeah, I think I did keep one of your additions... don't remember which now. --Black Flamingo 14:53, November 15, 2011 (UTC)
- You can see it here [1]. Your article has so many expressions I had to make a few creative changes. I only wrote that article and started another one on that wiki because to be honest...it's pretty boring over there. It's funny...when I first started here, I had never done humour writing (I am an essayist in real life) and I had all this confidence to go ahead and make major changes to your featured article. Its one of those embarassing nOOb moments (your article wasn't the only one!!!). You shouldn't have felt guilty but just laughed. I can't wait to have a nOOb butcher a featured article of mine. I will be honoured! --ShabiDOO 22:02, November 15, 2011 (UTC)

Fox News[edit source]
ANNNNNNGGGGGGGGGGRRRRRRRYYYYYYYYY!!!!!! As you can see, I tweaked it a whole freaking lot and I got in an adit conflict, but the changes I made were so enormous that I copied the text above and put it in the upper text. I don't know how this affected your edits or MM, but mine went through. I'm not angry at you or MM at all, it's just the situation, I hope your edits were not lost either! Get back to me. Mattsnow 02:48, November 17, 2011 (UTC)
- It seems I edited for more than 40 minutes to tweak it judging by the timestamps in the history section. Mattsnow 02:50, November 17, 2011 (UTC)
- Oh my god. Thanks so much!!! For the love of god that must have been a lot of work! I'm going through it now and making tweaks to the tweaks. IT IS VERY APPRECIATED MATTSNOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thanks a million. --ShabiDOO 03:05, November 17, 2011 (UTC)
- It went smoothly since the article is so good, and I had quite a scare when I saw the edit conflict :O , but I think I managed it OK. I would really like to know if MM's edits got through though. Fair and fucking balanced. It's on VFH as we speak, getting raped by unknown people who like to jizz all over the place. Mattsnow 05:14, November 17, 2011 (UTC)

What is your opinion...[edit source]
about that? Mattsnow 01:44, November 19, 2011 (UTC)
- I will tell you (and do some tweaking if you like). Now...would you PLEASE tell me if we will start up the moon article. :) :):) --ShabiDOO 02:18, November 19, 2011 (UTC)
- Don't tweak, just tell me, and now that I've got my almost finished articles out of the way, like Don King, which I further tweaked and is on VFH, yes, I have time for another article! What would the title and concept be? Mattsnow 02:23, November 19, 2011 (UTC)
- Ok. The article needs a LOT of tweaking. Intro is very good...I like the evocative language and that its funny. The mohamad reference is totally out of place and you could easiloy replace that with buddha or geneish as thats more linkedto the himalayas. You should consider making the topic of the story a lot clearer in the ontro as you go from describing the mountains, to talking about underwear in school and mohammad. Thats fine...but you should probably let the reader know that the article is about a disaster climb of the himalayas from the very beginning.

Preparation is good. Base camp:first two paragraphs are excelent...the last two are a little watery. Great departure: Its good...the losing 2 feet of rope is funny. Theres lots of description that could be cut without taking anything away from the article. Id recommend adding those adjectives and metaphors only every 2nd or 3rd sentence...though thats just me. Next section needs tweaking but it is by far the best section of the article. The final boss: This section is good (though there are a whole lot of adjectives again). The lightening bolt thing doesn't work for me the way it is. If you tied that in with the hallucinations...it would be much better inho. If you made it clear that the two characters where hallucinating and really believed they were sending lightening bots at each other...it would be funny and sensical. Ending: The last two sections could be merged. Its a bit of a quick end to the article. Also...you could mention what his body looked like (was he partially eaten or was he raped by the Yetti? Maybe the yetti tried on his clothes and played with his equipment...accidentally stabbing the main character? There are lots of places to take that. Also...may he rot in hell is an abrupt and radical change to the flow of the article. If it was positive though "May Buddha grant him a plethora of lifetimes as a thrill seeking human until he successfully climbs the mountain without bedlam and catastrophy. OR something like that. Anyhoo...overall its good...though I think you should pay a lot of attention to the rythm of the story. Take it easy on the adjectives (as well, its obvious you use a thesaurus as you use synonyms a little bit out of context). Over all its fairly good and I'm sure it will be a featured article with some big time tweaking and work. --ShabiDOO 03:01, November 19, 2011 (UTC)
Moon article[edit source]
I have a few ideas. One concept would be that the Greek gods inhabited the moons (one per moon) after Christianity became vogue...and they visit each other and at times use meteorites on each other to solve disputes or something like that. Another possibility is to simply describe them as the barren wastelands that they are, it painfully boring descriptions that always seem possibly interesting at the beginning of the section and then end up so boring that its funny. Another possibility is an article describing the moons and the author getting totally confused by the sheer amount of moons and meteors around the planet. --ShabiDOO 03:05, November 19, 2011 (UTC)
- Well, err... I think the best thing to do is start the article. Including greek gods seems like a great idea! Mattsnow 00:32, November 21, 2011 (UTC)
- Damn, I had some inspiration, but it's already an article: Saturn's moons. However, it could be great to have an article about The Hidden Face of the Moon. Did you know that due to some physical law, the moon is always presenting the same face to the Earth? That's true, just as if it wants to hide something... If that does not tempt you, than how about an article on an hypothetical planet inhabited by extraterrestrials some thousands of light years away? I love astronomy (not to be confused with astrology lol), I know its basics a bit. Waddya say? Mattsnow 03:30, November 21, 2011 (UTC)

Now the dust has settled on another exciting Turkey Day Ball competition its time for all those kind volunteers to set to judging. The results day is next saturday, the 10th December, so it should give everyone enough time to pick their winning entries, if you are not going to be able to complete in this time give us the heads up. Your results should be revealed here. Thank you for your time... -- Sir Mhaille (talk to me)
Troodon[edit source]
Hello. You're additions to my article are fine by me. And I do have a user name besides the IP address, Comicat1, but I don't always log in every time I make something.
YO!!!![edit source]
I think we should operate some cuts in the article, I tweaked it a bit. I just don't know where to cut!!! HALP! Mattsnow 18:28, December 10, 2011 (UTC)
- Yeah...cuts are inevitable. Now that we have a fair bit of text...we could add an actual concept to the piece. The article can still continue being a set of encyclopedic facts whie still having an over all concept through out. I have a few ideas:
- One could hilight the total difference between organic evolution and silicone based evolution. Our planet has created a survival of the fitting, competition between genes to repicate itself the most. Silicon evolution is about small genes supporting each other to sustain itself over a long period of time. We can make that clear by showing differences between the two plantets over the whole artice.
- The planet is an experiment conducted by aliens to see how long the planet can survive with peaceful creatures.
- The planet is an experiment by other aliens to raise an entire species of iving beings to later use it to do palnet wide medical eperiements or nuclear weapons.
- Or something else?
- Or none?
--ShabiDOO 19:26, December 10, 2011 (UTC)
- I'd lean toward none and just cutting a bit, and then tweaking the rest and then having a big party! Mattsnow 22:17, December 10, 2011 (UTC)
- Matt...the article as it is right now isn't much of an article. It's a bunch of random stuff without anything conecting it together except its title. Cutting this and tweaking...will leave us with...what I think is...a fairly mediochre article. If you don't care for a concept in the piece...we should at least add a couple more sections and then make some cuts so that it at least seems like an encyclopedic article. --ShabiDOO 22:22, December 10, 2011 (UTC)
- I totally agree that it kinda sucks, I was quite discouraged after reading it this afternoon! Things are not going as swiftly as they did with door handle. Did you add me on MSN? Mattsnow 23:00, December 10, 2011 (UTC)
- It doesn't suck. We just have to choose...make it uncyclopedic or add a concept. If we make it uncyclopedic, we can add lots of random creative sections and then make the cuts. I'm sure we will end up with a good article if we do stuff like that. I can write at least two sectinos a day. What do you prefer: uncyclopedic or concept? --ShabiDOO 00:56, December 11, 2011 (UTC)
- Did you add me on MSN? I know I added you. IT'd be easier! Mattsnow 01:07, December 11, 2011 (UTC)

I loved it. An amazing, awful, dirty piece of work if I've ever seen one. Have you ever read Bret Easton Ellis' American Psycho? Your article reminded me of it in a big way. Anyway, I just wanted to stop by and give my regards about your article. Pip-pip cheerio and all that shit.
- Hey buddy. Thanks a lot for the nice post here. I really had a lot of fun with this contest seeing as there simply were no rules. If only there was an audience for this kind of writing, I think I would actually have a chance making it in that world. Hahahahaha. Maybe once a year is more than enough. Things are going wacky fast, must be that 2012 mental energy going round. Thanks for all the fish. Are you active on the Walk into a bar collab? I've kept away from it when lots of people were pooling in there, so I don't know what's up with it. Thanks again. A belated thank-you from an inveterate procrastinator[edit source]
Greetings, Shabidoo. You voted for UnNews:Son_of_Gaddafi_caught_attempting_to_enter_Canada on VFH. Now, obviously it's been a while since this happened. However, I figured that, while it can be too late to ask for forgiveness, it is never too late to give thanks.
Once again, thank you, and my apologies for not thanking you sooner. This impersonal, auto-generated message will self-destruct in 5 seconds. ~ Wed, Jan 4 '12 11:11 (UTC)

I have gone through my records and it appears as though you may have voted for me for some award, supported one or more of my articles on VFH, or supported one or more of my images on VFP, in the past year or so. If this is not the case, then please ignore this message. Otherwise, thank you for your support. May you have a long and fruitful life, and have many parasites. ~ 18:57, 6 January 2012
Sup[edit source]
Not trying to be mean and nasty at all, but really, those two topics aren't related beyond the fact that they both are about voting in some way or another (in this case, another). I thought your topic would be a better place, but if you are worried about the seriousness being an issue, then feel free to start another one. But really, starting another, 95% unrelated vote on top of another is a plain bad idea. --
06:52, January 9, 2012 (UTC)- It's not a big deal if you want your forum as a single topic, this I understand. I think that a simple revert and dropping me a line, would have been a friendlier way to say so, than passive agressively accusing me of hijacking your topic and messing with your page, and then going on to mess with my own page. People have fragile feelings made of the thinnest glass that can ever by made...and the whole time our parents expectations reverb through that glass...adding even more tension, while the alcohol and drugs we consume, are like a violent wind, threatening to rupture that glass...and then when people on uncyclopedia pick on me...it tears apart the foundation of my soul and I just want to cry into my own lap until my feelings surround me like a dust storm of self hate and bitterness. And then my name...my name is not even death...but a whisper of death. Whispering...
Anyways...honestly, I dont think anyone cares about these votes anyways. Im going to simply start a forum asking for a vote that allows me to vote as though I am an admin...and that might shake it up. Who knows. Good luck with your initiative. No hard feelings brother. --ShabiDOO 07:08, January 9, 2012 (UTC)

are you finishing up your pheasent's dilemma page? It seems well cooked. I catted all the pics into the Chocolate category, found them on Magic man's page. Prolific mudder, you be. Aleister 13:42 9-1-'12

As for the pheasants dilema...I dont know if that has a chance in hell of getting featured...as per the shit references...but you can always nominate it to have a laugh at what people say in their against votes!

This user created Making up Dan Quayle quotes, as part of The Article Whisperer. Thanks for making this year's competition a success! |
Just to let you know, the article was originally intended to be an Unquotable page. Back in 2005, the pages were named "Making up <insertnamehere> Quotes". It should read Unquotable:Dan Quayle when its moved to mainspace. It's definitely one of the oldest-ever requested pages, so congratulations. :) MadMax 17:48, January 10, 2012 (UTC)

Spamming and contests[edit source]
Heya, please don't spam notices on people's talkpages unless they have explicitly signed up for such notices (for instance the UnSignpost has its signup page, or having joined IC would be sign up for IC-related stuff).
Contests, however, shouldn't need it in the first place, as we can and do announce such things in the sitenotice when the timing is appropriate. Please, ask an admin to do that for you in the future; talkpage spam is disrespectful and has the potential to wind up on a lot of pages of users who don't want it, including inactive ones, and also spams up recent changes - even if it does come down to talkpage messages, a much smaller number of messages (say, under five) placed on the right pages would still be seen by much of the active userbase. ~ 14:34, 24 January 2012
- Those site notices are great and its one of the few truly community wide phenomenas, where its almost impossible to not miss something being broadcasted. However, as TKF has pointed out, its not enough, hence the forum he has posted in giant letters begging people to vote, which I agree he should have made, as there is nothing better (for a lot of users) than the feeling that a variety of the community is participating in discussions, reading, voting and big decisions. I will quote his text "I know it's up there in the topic, but the numbers we're showing right now are just depressing." Any community wide event in small numbers is depressing.
- Imagine that TKF made a calculated selection of users who are known to vote, but haven't yet done so despite the forums and site notices and he suggested that they do so (in a completely unagressive and funny/or nice kind of way), well good on him, that's what the talk pages are for afterall. If he made a totally random selection and wrote whatever the hell he wanted, then that would be spaming and that would be disrespectful of the killer froggy. I doubt TKF would ever do that. And shame on him, SHAME ON HIM if he ever did. I would immediately start up a forum and get a lynch mob stirred up screaming DOWN WITH THE KILLER FROGGY...GET HIM!!! GET HIM
- What you see as wanton spam and disrespectful random doodlings on the talk pages, I saw as a calculated selection of users I have lots of contact with, or have participated before in competitions, some of whom may not see the site notice (or has disabled them), would like an invitation (as Puppy pointed out he didn't have), needs a second reminder (note how four users signed up after the said reminder), who might get an email of their posts and realise that uncylcopedia still exists (as I get on the spanish uncyclopedia and then head on to vote on stuff when I can be bothered), users who I respect on the site and would like more contact with, and/or users who wouldn't mind having something posted on their talk page once in a while in between the long list of hydrenalines signposts, scrolled week after week.
- I selected all these users for a reason, and did not randomly pick people because of the sound of their name or because of anything else, but because I would especially like those particular users to participate, just as the first people I posted this reminder on a couple days ago, a smaller number, where the users who I MOST wanted to participate (unfortunately forgetting a few more).
- If I had been totally random about this, that would be spam. What I was doing there was using talk pages, to talk to users, who I really hope to see participate, do that very thing, participate, and I don't see that as being disrespectful at all. One can only hope that telling people some subjective opinion as though its a matter of fact, is something of a bygone age.
- There are all sorts of things that are posted on more than five user's talk pages that don't have a sign up list, such as people thanking users for voting on their article, whoring out something on VFH or those top ten lists, those charming holiday posts, a crusade to save something on VFD, etc... and I see very few moments of spam, as the talk pages the users selected to post on were premeditated and entirely reasonable. If I had have thought it would have bothered anyone (except for with SPIKE in which it was certain to bother him and perhaps menace him out of his uncyclopedia slumber and get him back here after his excessively long banning) or if the user had ever asked me not to do so, or stop, I would have been the fist to admit I shouldn't have done so, and appologised profusely, prostratiing myself, in the direction furthest away from Mekka.
- The only exception in my case was SPIKES user page, as it was done as a joke, as I know for a fact he cannot stand the Happy Monkey Competition :) I also avoided Zombiebarons page as he banned a user once for thanking him for voting for his article. After a pleasant somewhat unrelated conversation on IRC today (where I had accidentaly posted a message on a forum for which Zombiebaron was entirely right to ban me for, and a total non-dick for believing me that it was a mystake and then undoing that ban in good faith, I told him I would make the most loveliest personalised invitation for him and he said, thanks. I then made him the most loveliest personal invitation. And it is lovely.
- Maybe there should be some sort of community wide discussion on these postings, on your seemingly random choice of FIVE pages (which may not be random, you probably do have a reason for chosing the number of five and nothing sounds wrong about that number, just as I have a reason for chosing the talk pages which I have chosen, onto which I pasted the invites to this competiton). I welcome that kind of community wide discussion as there has been none that I am aware of since I first came here. I could start up a forum and name every individual user and explain why I chose that person to invite, which, in fact isn't a bad idea anyways, because there are all nice and good reasons why I chose those users and its always a great thing to give other members of the community some validation by telling them why you respect them as users, why you cared enough to make things more than just a site notice, including to you Lyrithya, who cares about nothing more than the community when you drop your opinions on peoples talk pages.
- I hope you do participate on the competition, and if you don't want me posting anything more on your talk page, I'll never do it unless it is totally and uttlerly personalised and relevant to you Lyrithya.
- And thanks for the post on my page, we rarely do. We must have an e-coffee some time. I don't even have the foggiest idea what time zone you live in. --ShabiDOO 20:01, January 24, 2012 (UTC)
- That's lovely. Seriously, just keep the spam to a minimum, please. If you want to actually write out individual messages like Aleister often does for things, that's another matter, and probably a lot more likely to actually be effective, however. ~ 22:37, 24 January 2012
- Lyrithya...are you joking when you said you didn't read any of that? --ShabiDOO 23:03, January 24, 2012 (UTC)
- If it makes you feel better I did read it. It was a fairly long-winded justification for spamming people's talk-pages. Spam is generally a bannable offence (see UN:BP). You've been asked nicely to not spam. You responded with an "I have the right..." type of response, which in short just says that you have chosen not to listen to what was asked, and you reserve the right to do it again at any stage in the future. When you are asked nicely not to do something that is outside of the guidelines, it's best to say "Point taken" rather than argue. Yeah - I did say something about not being invited, but as always I was joking. I actually would have preferred not to have something added to my talkpage to tell me what I was already aware of. And while I was away from Uncyc one of the things I did was stop the e-mail notifications, because I didn't actually want to be spammed with things like this, and most Internet savvy people (ie our userbase) have learned to ignore spam. By doing this sort of spam you're just as likely to push people away from the wiki as draw them closer. Your intentions were good, your actions were at best only mildly effectual, at worst counter-productive. As friendly advice, what Lyrithya was saying was intended for the good of the site, and it would be better if you listened to her rather than assume that it's a power kick. Pup 11:49 24 Jan '12
- Shabidoo, a wise man once told me "Sticks and stones will break my bones, but words will never hurt me." Gathering my sticks and stones, I put the fucker out of his misery, but his words stayed with me, and hurt me. If it's any consolation, I agree with these two valid attackers in that electonic spam is bad like real spam. On the other hand, your very nice graphic spam was what made me sign up for your contest (although I would have at some point anyway), and saying you pinpointed your posts is valid. Your answer to L., on the other hand (three hands, if you're still counting), was like an ostrich on coke, sticking its head into the sand quickly and rapidly over and over again, only to figure out too late that it was cement and his head trauma made him think he was an emu. This is a fun thread, if you're reading it from the outside, because everybody is right and everybody is manic, including me! Aleister I'm not here.
- I've eaten emu before, which makes me more right than you! Pup 01:56 25 Jan '12
- Have rethought this, and looking at all the people that signed up for the contest because of the template, I say good for the template. A template that did very well for itself. This really looks like it's going to be a good contest, with lots of nice pages emerging from it. Yay Happy Monkey! Aleister 13:50 25-1-'12
- Aleister...thanks. Puppy thanks. Don't you get it, the way puppy explained things made sense, he didnt indirectly accuse me of disrespecting any one and he backed up what he was saying with examples and explained the "why" behind it. He also listened to what I said and adressed it. So fine, I was wrong. All a user wants when there is a disagreement is to have their voice respected and to hear a non-accusatory explanation of things. If you are going to passive agressively ignore what I post on my talk page Lyrithya, I'd prefer you post nothing at all. Aleister, your ostrich comment was funny. Puppy, emu meat is really gross. --ShabiDOO 18:49, January 27, 2012 (UTC)

Ye monkey[edit source]
Where can I put my topic-idea? You haven't informed us too clearly. This is the reason why you will burn!
OMG!!! It`s Cat the Colourful, Jesus Christ!!! 15:10 24 January 2012

Happy Monkey[edit source]
Just thinking - maybe you should archive the old stuff on Uncyclopedia:Happy Monkey Competition and move the sign-up forum stuff there. I'd also set up UN:HM as a shortcut page to it as well. Given this has become an "Official" competition that makes more sense to me, and it makes it easier to get an idea of how it all works. I'd also set-up a subpage for the rules, judging, etc. make it all nice and proper like. Pup 02:10 28 Jan '12
- I created a page on my user space which I will develop into a temporary page for this years competition, which will include stuff from last year like scoring tables and what not. It does get a little complicated with all the info involved and I think its a good idea to keep temporary data about each individual tournament on a separate page. Your idea about putting rules and more details about the competition on the HMC page is a good idea UN:HMC (there already is a UN:HM only its called UN:HMC. --ShabiDOO 10:40, January 28, 2012 (UTC)
- I dunno. Just looking at UN:PLS, UN:CW, and UN:ATDB I'd say archiving old stuff and putting the new stuff seems to work. Pup 10:45 28 Jan '12

When will you be in irc? I thought of an idea and would prefer to tell you that way since I always forget to check my e-mail. --Sir Oliphaunte (განხილვა) 22:45, January 30, 2012 (UTC)
Your talent[edit source]
You make one of the best articles in Uncyclopedia, but you leave even better messages on talk pages. --POP!GoesTheWeasel 08:53, January 31, 2012 (UTC)
Sorry, bro[edit source]
But I may have to sit out the Happy Monkey Competition. My parents recently found out how badly I'd bombed in my college exams and don't want me around here anymore. Again, sorry ;( --Scofield & 1337 15:44, February 3, 2012 (UTC)
- scofield, you are supposed to let your parents find out about your bombing in exmas AFTER the happy monkey competition. You know that young man!
- I don't blame your parents for encouraging you to stay away from the site, though you should pop in once in a while. If you think you even have an hour to go through the competition articles and give them each a number out of 10, youre welcome to do that. If you prefer to have a life though, then stay away from this site as long as possible and don't look bakc. Dont even wave as you walk away, if you wave, then we will probably start to cry, and once Lyrithya starts to cry, we will have pandemonium on a terrifying scale. So please, don't wave back...okay? --ShabiDOO 17:58, February 3, 2012 (UTC)

I convinced Zombiebaron to give you user rights. Now get to work laddy! ~Sir Frosty (Talk to me!) 10:22, February 4, 2012 (UTC)
- Okay Frosty. Rock and roll! I'm not much of a patrolling kind of user, but these tools will be usefull when a user starts vandalising things on my watchlist! TO THE FOXMOBILE! --ShabiDOO 14:03, February 4, 2012 (UTC)

Your rise to superstardom continues! :P Mattsnow 23:21, February 5, 2012 (UTC)
- Thanks a lot buddy. This month is TKF month and deservedly so.
- thanks for the comment about my writing being different. Thats the biggest compliment you could ever give me, much more valuable than an award of the month :) --ShabiDOO 00:04, February 6, 2012 (UTC)
- Don't go all emo! You really have a distinct style, just like Al. Now I added something on your page about the collab and it seems we have consensus on one idea. Mattsnow 15:53, February 6, 2012 (UTC)
Srsly dude[edit source]
Change your signature back, its damn near impossible to read. ~Sir Frosty (Talk to me!) 01:54, February 8, 2012 (UTC)
- I had my reasons to choose that signature, but apparently, users (and not admins) must follow the guidelines, or however admins choose to interperate those guidelines. In the end, its not a big deal. --ShabiDOO 18:05, February 9, 2012 (UTC)
- What he said, or at least to something legible. It needs to be legible. ~ 06:52, 8 February 2012
Hpy Mky[edit source]
Maybe it's time to do a banner logo to get more people to sign up. Come one, come all. It'll be like a barrel of monkeys if you get a few more people playing. Nice work! Alky 18:20 8-2-'12
- I've asked for a banner to go up now twice and it hasnt gone up. There tends to be an aura of disinterest, dislike and outright passive agression towards this competition by some. Which is all the more reason to have tons of fun broadcasting this out as loudly and exageratedly as possible :)
- Ill ask Zombiebaron, he is unlikely to say no. --ShabiDOO 18:25, February 8, 2012 (UTC)
I'm warning you!!![edit source]
Ooh... It seems that it's impossible for me to start writing tomorrow. There's a little change that I could come on sunday. But it has a very, very low possibility.
I'm just warning you. I, for myself, hate red links on competitions. Hope you do not. That much. Please... OMG!!! It`s Cat the Colourful, Jesus Christ!!! 12:57 9 February 2012
- Wow...im glad to see how enthusiastic you are about the compeition. Don't worry, in the end the whole point is to have fun, not stress out about if it will happen or not. Give it a try, and if you can't write anything, you could consider helping us judge it. Okay ??? --ShabiDOO 17:56, February 9, 2012 (UTC)
topic[edit source]
I sent you my topic, might want to check up on that. And I'll have to start writing late because of time zones o_O ~Sir Frosty (Talk to me!) 21:15, February 10, 2012 (UTC)

My email is on the craps. Is it cool if we do this elsewhere? -- Kippy the Elf Talk Works ☃ 23:11, Feb. 10, 2012
- Yeah, could you get on IRC or somesuch? It's been ages since I used my email. I'm not even sure what the password was. 00:03, 11 February 2012
Your Topic[edit source]
Your topic is "If Jews had wheels that spoke finnish, what if they were locked in a box and tried to go insane but couldn't (video game series)". Jeez, I've looked at some of the topics, we are giving new users who seemed excited about the contest pretty narrow subjects, yes? But I guess it's a good test of their faith in their own writing. Did you want me to give you a real topic? Play, you can play too! Did you see my new forum on huffing? Aleister 11:57 11-2-'12
- p.s.
Just saw my topic. WTF? Homophones (grammar)? My enthusiasm for the contest has just dropped to a record low.You drive a hard contest, Shabidoo.- p.s.s. Oh, a homophone is a real thing. I thought someone wanted to name a page after homos using phones. Never mind.
Nobody got Hubble Space Telescope, two people got Twister (game). Can you give Socky Hubble instead? OK, I won't bother you here for awhile. Homophones, jeex, a rose is a rose is a rose unless a rose arose. hahahahahah hehehehehehehehefadesout Aleister
- Hey buddy. Thanks for giving me a topic. I'm going to write an article on that, cause its a helarious awsome topic...but later this week as I gotta lotta stuff going on this weekend.
- Didn't you learn grammar in school. Everyone knows that a homonym is about two words sounding the same and has nothing to do with man on man anal sex. You dirty boy! --ShabiDOO 12:23, February 11, 2012 (UTC)
- Where did Hubble go? Socky would have been awesome for that. No, I don't know grammar, literally. I flunked english a couple of times in high school and had to go to summer school, where they let me pass, all because I couldn't do one of those sentence trees, where you identify parts of speech. I don't know what a verb or an adjective is (don't try to explain, it does no good) as my brain sees all aspects of a word at once when I focus on meaning. How can "India" be one thing when it is billions of things all happening at the same time? So grammar is an alien concept to me. And I just learned what a homophone is, gross! Aleister 12:41 11-2-'12
- That's what happened. The hubble one got lost because I entered Mattlobster twice on the spreadsheet and when I deleted it, yours wtopic went with it, when I filled in the topics, I put twister down twice, when I realised Frosty had twister, I changed it to some topic I made up (the emperor of Belgium) and couldn't track down the old topic. I don't want to change his topic a second time! Sorry, we could do a colab on the hubble telescope some time!!!

I just reread it and lolled! I think we should put it on Pee Review and see what comes out of it. Oh and I replied on my talk page for the competition thing. Mattsnow 15:40, February 11, 2012 (UTC)
- Uh...I liky Krypton, but it needs a little reworking (not a lot). Do you mind if we shape it up a bit more before we nom? --ShabiDOO 16:06, February 11, 2012 (UTC)
- I think you didn't read it right. PEE REVIEW!!!! As in someone giving us a review of what he thinks. NOT VFH!!!!!! lol Mattsnow 16:19, February 11, 2012 (UTC)
HERE! Lol. ^^^^^^ I saw the number of entries in the contest and saw that we the judges have to do a Pee Review for each of them??? Did I read well?? Can't be serious there. Tell me that a ranking and a quick comment will do the trick, please! BTW, when can we start judging? Mattsnow 03:29, February 12, 2012 (UTC)
Grrrrrrr[edit source]
You cocksucker, you've got me writing in gay, and if I turn gay by tomorrow night because of you then, then, then, I'll just stomp my foot. See? See what your topic has got me doing? Now I'll have to copy paste that line somewhere in the story. Grrrrrrrr (or purrrrrrrrr). Aleister 20:46 11-2-'12
- Whatever you do...do NOT explain what a typical homophone would have en terms of pre-set dialing, and the kind of people that those pre-programmed numbers would call to. That would be pretty faggilicious. Or so the queer folk say. --ShabiDOO 21:01, February 11, 2012 (UTC)
- See, if I wanted to use that or had thought of it I couldn't now, because nobody can help anyone in the Happy Monkey contest. No more ideas, please, thought that counts though (and get writing that Hubble article, it's your punishment for turning me gay). In Happy Monkey we are alone in the desert of our own sick thoughts, and mine is the kind that quickly gets sand up in unusual places and they start to itch and it's such a bother. Gay Al meow
User:TimmyTom and Happy Monkey[edit source]
Just so you're aware, I've moved the page to his user space. I also think that given his wiki-coding skills are fairly limited it would make sense if someone gave him a hand with formatting. I'd rather not have him judged unfairly purely due to his lack of time here. Pup 11:50 12 Feb '12
- Puppy: Im going to judge the contestands on the EFFORT that they put into the article, more than the content necesarily. As well, its through creativity, originality and cleverness, which doesn't always assume funny or perfectly formatted! If you want to help him with the utterly basic formatting or corret any mystakes that are CLEARLY based on him not knowing features of editing on the wiki, thats okay. But if any of the edits changes the content or adds raw content, then I think it would be unfair to the other users, at least that's how I see it. --ShabiDOO 16:55, February 12, 2012 (UTC)
A quick thing about happy monkey[edit source]
Rainchild did make the Saturday article, except instead of making it in his userspace he made it his userpage. (See here). -- 00:32, February 13, 2012 (UTC)
- Thanks a lot Xamralco for letting me know and linking. It would have been sad if we didn't judge it! YEAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1 --ShabiDOO 00:39, February 13, 2012 (UTC)
Wait, Happy Monkey already ended?[edit source]
Bloody hell, I thought it was midnight New York time, I didn't see that small font writing. Anyways, I thought I had some time as this is first time I've been free all weekend, just so you don't think I got lazy or anything. --Sir Oliphaunte (განხილვა) 01:34, February 13, 2012 (UTC)
- Don't worry about it...you werent the only user who couldn't finish...and honestly, its just a competition! Some nice articles so far don't you think? --ShabiDOO 01:43, February 13, 2012 (UTC)
Stupid question[edit source]
The participants didn't know what the topic would be? You basically put the suggestions in a hat and attributed them? How much time did they have from when they knew their topic to completing their article? As you can see, I'm on a judging binge! Mattsnow 18:51, February 13, 2012 (UTC)
- Yeah Matt...the topics were redistributed to each other. They found out about the topic the moment the contest started. They all had 36 hours to write it. Do be kind to the nOObs okay?
- Thanks for judging by the way! --ShabiDOO 19:01, February 13, 2012 (UTC)
- I'm always kind to n00bs, sorry to have missed you on MSN yesterday, I went jogging. Man that must be a lot of work for you, congrats with keeping the competition interesting! And I gave a n00b a 8. It's cool to see there's a lot of them! We should nominate all n00bs who wrote something for NotM in thanks for their participation (and let them know on their talk page) What do you think about that? Mattsnow 20:24, February 13, 2012 (UTC)
- YES! We must nominate them. And keep nominating each one that doesn't win this month, etc... That's a great idea Matt! Thanks for your voting so far. I have a lot of reviews to write, but it's a real real real pleasure to do so, especially with users who turned out some amazing stuff, or who seem enthusiastic about writing on something they probably don't know anything about, not to mention the incredible creativity and humour ontop of it all. Im really impressed so far! YEAH!!!!!!!!!! --ShabiDOO 23:32, February 13, 2012 (UTC)
- Since you have much to do with the reviews, I'm gonna nom them and let them know, like tomorrow. Did you put the topics in a hat and picked one for each participant?? :P Mattsnow 23:44, February 13, 2012 (UTC)

Im really impressed so far! YEAH!!!!!!!!!! --ShabiDOO 23:32, February 13, 2012 (UTC)
- There are no stupid questions. Only stupid people. Pup 12:59 14 Feb '12
- Like all of us :)
- Matt...I put all of the users in one column in alphabetical order and then put their topic suggestions in a second column and third colum. I sorted the third column (topics) in alphabetical order (but keeping the first two columns in the same place). I checked to make sure no userended up with their own topic and had to switch a couple of them (as they would have ended up with their own topics) and I made up a couple topics as a couple users never submitted any (i made them up on the spot, they were "The Emperor of Barbados" and "The journey of the ugly kitten".
- I then checked with my CIA operatives if I could go ahead with the tournament as planned, and they then decommissioned me after I filed my report and recieved my payment. Any other questions? --ShabiDOO 10:39, February 14, 2012 (UTC)
- So how come no one got my suggested topic, just out of interest? --Black Flamingo 13:47, February 14, 2012 (UTC)
- Black ... two topics got lost in the sorting of the lists, as there was one user with a double entry in the competitors list and another user who bowed out. As i deleted those entries, so did two topics dissapear. It is a shame. IF you like, Ill write an article on your topic :) --ShabiDOO 18:55, February 14, 2012 (UTC)

My topic[edit source]
I AM SO HAPPY that I managed to even write something on the competition. For a stub, I got surprisingly good scores, which I am to thank you. Thank you. You thank. Tanks. Think. Thonk?
So, anyways, I am thankful and proud of myself. But, as I've read your review now 1496017 times and it still is not disappearing, so I believe I have to ask something; Excatly, what you don't understand in the last sentence of the first paragraph? And here is the sentence you don't understand, I believe:
“It is based on the belief that many, many years ago, the great weaver Poly created the Arachis Hypogaea (the word for Earth in Polytheism), the gods to believe in Poly and then the human beings to believe in the gods.”
I agree the sentence isn't very funny, but it has some weird jokes. I some times put hidden jokes on my articles (once, on this article) which I believe are awesomely funny because everyone reads uncy pages with wikipedia's page next to it. So, Arachis Hypogaea is really the latin word for 'Peanut' which is very very very funny *laughs*. The end of the sentence is more near to me, (and so isn't that funny because my life is extremely boring) because I believe there will always be someone higher than someone who's high. Or summing I dunno. And the weaver Poly thing... Because the gods waer polyester, their creator must be weaver... meow.
So I hope that made some sense to you, if it didn't or I'm talking of a wrong part please kill me with a spoon. Or answer me, the choice is yours. OMG!!! It`s Cat the Colourful, Jesus Christ!!! 13:35 14 February 2012
- You know...I might be one of the unique fringe readers who doesn't compare most articles to the wikipedia one. I should do that more often.
- I didn't understand the sentence gramatically, until I read your explanation. I would suggest separating the sentences which will help make things clear. Here are some ways to do that,
- The great weaver Poly creative the Arachis Hypogeae (Poltheists word for the world), Poly then created gods ... gods who would believe in Poly and worship him, and finaly he created human beings, beings that would believe in the gods and worship them.
- Poly, the original weaver first invented Earth (which polytheists call Arachis Hypogae), then created gods to believe in Him, and then created humans to believe in the gods and decided not to create anything that would believe in humans as Poly ran out of yarn and was rather bushed after a long day.
- Poly, the weaver of weavers, weved a giant woven world (known as the Arachis Hypogae), and then weaved some gods, so that someone would adore Poly and offer sacrafices and praise, and love (based in fear) and fear (based in love). To animate the gods more, he half hasardly wove some humans who would praise those gods, or something to that effect and then wove some animals with the final strands and scraps of yarn he had left.
(sorry for embelishing on your idea, but I've been in pee review mode the last few days, and I always come up with far more ideas when I review articles, then when I write them).
Hopefuly this clears things up and makes sense. Let me know if you have any further questions. I look forward to seeing the final article, and yes, you did deserve a high score even though it was a stub!
I send you totally unfaggy St. Valentines day love. --ShabiDOO 21:02, February 14, 2012 (UTC)
- Oh thank you. I like unfaggy Valentine days. Love 'em. And thanks from your response, I'll start editing immediatly after the competition ends. OMG!!! It`s Cat the Colourful, Jesus Christ!!! 12:20 17 February 2012

Joe9320 accidentally put scores for ONX :S Mattsnow 23:28, February 14, 2012 (UTC)
- I noticed the same thing. Also, the coding on that page would be much nicer with a little wiki-fu. I'm happy to leave it as is, but I'll throw something together and show you what I mean. (It may end up under Wikipedia:User:PuppyOnTheRadio/score thing though due to limited access while at work.) Pup 12:21 15 Feb '12

Review[edit source]
Thanks for the time you put into that epic review Shab; a real corker. I had in mind a deception for the article. You'll notice that at the end of each paragraph, 'I' (or the narrator) promise to get on to explaining how the profound philosophers etc. mentioned llamas. But each paragraph, I never mention it, therefore teasing the reader. And when I do get to the part where I am going to mention it; I sweep it away! I thought it would be funny to have the narrator erupt somewhat misanthropically, and indeed, the academic and astringent tone of the article means such an outburst isn't entirely random. Sure, it is an anti-climax of sorts, but I do not always go in for Hollywood endings!
Thanks again. --Knucmo2 01:43, February 15, 2012 (UTC)
Z is for Zany[edit source]
I saw you commented on Zana's page without hiring me. Romartus did hire me as a legal team rep, or I might have imagined it, but I did leave a part of the summary of the case on his talk page. Aleister 00:00 17-2-'12
HMC judge[edit source]
If you're desperate, I'll pull my entry and take on judgementship. Pup 04:09 17 Feb '12
- Thanks Puppy...if by sunday afternoon kip hasn't entered any scores and I can't get anyone else, then yes...that would be really appreciated. But until then, no need to worry. I still have 9 pee reviews to do, though four of them are stub like articles. It should be fine. HAAAAAAPPPYYYY MOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOONKEY !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! --ShabiDOO 10:54, February 17, 2012 (UTC)
- Self-sacrificing bugger, falling-on-the-sword down-under, giving-a-hand-up porpoise-rider, Puppy is all those things and more. Shabidoo, why don't we collab on Hubble Space Telescope? We talked of collabing long long ago, and this could be a match made in hell. Did you know there are two American spy satellite telescopes with the same power as the Hubble, but they are pointed towards earth? True (or at least I think it is). Al 13:03 17-2-'12

- Ali...I have direct access to that satelite and I dedicate 90% of my alloted time with it to observe your mother. Its really impressive this new technology and just how indepth it can cover and track your mom. Yes...we MUST do that colab.
- As per the 5th judge, I could always create a sock puppet account and give the users I like 10s and those who I don't like -5 and then declare the whole competition disqualified. Would be a sweet ending to happy monkey no!?!?!? --ShabiDOO 17:26, February 17, 2012 (UTC)
