here's a fun Gundam fact: in the original show, the "bad guys" or zeon, have a fuck ton of different mobile suits for very specific things, which wasn't great. now, the reason it was like this was because MSG had a "monster of the week" format, which meant that every episode, there would be a new baddie for the Gundam to fight, as well as toys based off of the last "monster" hitting the shelves soon after. now, that's the outside universe explanation, but the in universe explanation is much funnier. Gihren Zabi, the head of military, was just a fucking idiot. he was constantly saying shit like "build a robot that works under water! and give it crab claws!" or "build giant robot with detachable limbs that double as laser guns in each finger, and replace the legs with two big thrusters!" and he had zero self restraint when it came to budgeting, which led to zeon building tens of super specific robots that were incredibly expensive, with only a few units made per model. the federation, on the other hand, had mobile suits (generic term for big robot in gundam(not every mobile suit is a Gundam)) that had far more uses per, which led to the feddies completely kicking zeon's ass with the Gundam, as it's quite versitile. Huge update to the code behind the scenes, allowing me to do more in less effort if it wasn't for the stupid es5 restrictions to post it as a gadget!
This update will not roll out automatically, you will need to "opt in" manually. To do so you need to first remove the line of code in your common.js file where you import wTools, then you need to enable it in prefrences, in the gadgets tab, under "Maintenance gadgets".
You can go back to the old version at any time if the update has bugs, and please be sure to report bugs, since a very large quantity of code has been changed.
Temporarily removed features in 2.0:
Custom editor screen.
"Rollback all" and "rollback selected" on contribution pages.
If you are still using these, the upgrade might not be for you right now. (Special:Nuke exists for admins for the second one).
