The discussion happened on October 22, the day that the Main Page was deleted. Someone brought the article up to the people involved in the incident, and I think we were surprised at how offensive the article is with all its slurs and stuff and that it's featured, causing Cassie and I to place it on VFD. It was not a joke nom. Cass and ARandomPage didn't like it and didn't want it to be an article. Therefore, Cass and ARandomPage used the forum dedicated to discussing if something should no longer be an article. The majority vote said to delete it, so we did.
This is the association fallacy. One of the many reasons that people found it not funny is because it is offensive. That does not mean that it was deleted only because it's offensive. Adolf Hitler is offensive but also funny. This article was both offensive and unfunny.
As I said on Discord, this discussion took place on the Discord server about Uncyclopedia. We then decided in the Discord server about Uncyclopedia that we need to take action on the website that the server is relating to. We often discuss Uncyclopedia and actions relating to it on the Discord server about Uncyclopedia - that is not new.
I'm aware that we do not have rules about canvassing. However, this is a majority vote. This is not a vote that just gives favor to whoever is best at finding the small group of people who agree with them.
If you want to require some kind of special procedure for huffing featured articles (I sure wonder why wp:WP:NOTBUREAU fell apart over time...), go to the Village Dump. If you want to undelete it and start a new discussion about this, then go to the Village Dump. Or, alternatively, just keep this debate here and keep discussing it.
The 15.5 vote for featuring is not a group of users who are actively involved in the site anymore enough to look at VFD. Otherwise, they would have voted to keep it. Our site's content changes as our user base changes.
It was also not deleted only because Cass didn't like it. There's a vote above this about some article parodying grammatically incorrect spam that was kept because the only Symbol delete vote.svg Delete vote was from Cassie, but there were still more Symbol keep vote.svg Keep votes from people besides her.
