What is this strange thing you have put together?[edit source]
It's the unholy merging of your user page and talk page. • • • Necropaxx (T) {~} Tuesday, 19:18, Apr 6 2010

What do you think of my new article?[edit source]
It's a work in progress. Link HERE. 22:22, April 7, 2010 (UTC)
- It's a start, but where is it likely to go? How does someone know what an orgasm is and not know what shit is? It looks good, but content is king. (Also when using larger font sizes I tend to add in line-height:100% as it formats a little better.) Nominally Humane! some time Wednesday, 22:29, Apr 7 2010 UTC

Spin.[edit source]
I see you make those Gif animations. How about one based on this Thingy? Would look cool for any SoS ad clickable template:
- TRUTH.
- Are you ready to face it?
- Are you ready to search for it?
- Are you ready to create it?
- TRUTH.
The "Are you ready to create it?" -bit should be the most forceful like it is on that page. I can also make up the original images if you can fix it from those. Which format is best? -- Style Guide 09:27, April 8, 2010 (UTC)
- I'm a little busy at the moment with family stuff. As long as you can wait a few days I can do something. What kind of transition did you envisage for the different images? Nominally Humane! some time Thursday, 15:34, Apr 8 2010 UTC
- I have no special preference - main thing is what the images look like. The TRUTH -one should be something like in the TRUTH-template: reliable colours. Then the ...face it and ...search for it should be with increasing weight, and the ...create it, striking (black background, yellow text is a sign of danger, so maybe that). The transition - anything that works smoothly. Want me to make the images? A few days - no problem. -- Style Guide 17:26, April 8, 2010 (UTC)
- Sorry, my creativity is at a low at the moment. Could you throw together a few mock-ups and I'll put them together? Nominally Humane! some time Saturday, 05:52, Apr 10 2010 UTC

SoS[edit source]
So, er... you would like to get some pieces of article, to throw together? I'll see what I can do there... meanwhile, what if you started on the Antenna thingy? It has a pretty good outline, you can write a pretty much deadpan UnNews piece for the first article and it would be funny as such. Not much need for additional jokes. I think the real world newspiece should give you enough to start by. Or, you could try and find some real world articles that might have anything in them to support the cause of small antennas, for instance mixing cellphone small antennas into it. Add the RWN links on the Smalltenna page if you do that. -- Style Guide 12:46, April 10, 2010 (UTC)

Renaming of UnNews templates[edit source]
Would you please read the final section of UnNews:Newsroom, on my renaming of two UnNews templates, that weren't really templates, out of the Template: space and into UnNews:? Is this idea fatally flawed? Spıke ¬ 13:55 13-Apr-10 Thanks! Spıke ¬ 22:17 13-Apr-10
PS--It's not that the former UnNews:New article skeleton was transcluded. It only wound up in an edit box and became the basis for a page in the UnNews space. It seems that UnNews:RecentNews, on its first call to #DPL, searched the entire UnNews space and identified this skeleton as having the current day's date, based on the {{Date}} template inside it, or at least what it would be if it were fully expanded. That's a frightening amount of computation (to be repeated 6 more times), whose details I don't understand. Spıke ¬ 11:05 14-Apr-10
- It's not transcluded in the way templates usually are, but it goes through a transclusion/subst as part of the input box. More than anything else, I'd put it in Template because that's where you'd expect to find something that is used regularly but is not its own article. Otherwise UnNews:Main Page/New article skeleton would be my next suggestion. Nominally Humane! some time Wednesday, 13:46, Apr 14 2010 UTC
I put it back in Template (specifically, I had copied rather than moved it, and the copies are now QVFD'd and the calling files are reverted). It was less problematic to revert than to keep tweaking.
But are you saying that UnNews:New article skeleton was effectively transcluded when the next person went to create a new UnNews article? Then why, in my input box, is the argument to {{Date}} still unresolved? My assumption was that the skeleton was found on the next refresh of the UnNews Front Page and mistaken for a real article (and thus would have been every day, too). Spıke ¬ 14:18 14-Apr-10
- I'd have to look into what put it on the list in the first place (which I'm assuming was called by a dpl - not my strength) and why it was up there (I'm assuming it was the date the page was created) to answer the hows and whys, and as it's no longer an issue, I'm not going to worry about it. Nominally Humane! some time Wednesday, 22:09, Apr 14 2010 UTC
Me neither. Thanks again. Spıke ¬ 00:44 15-Apr-10

At Uncyclopedia, writing articles is not a requirement, but it certainly is a fun and easy way to express your creativity. To write an article, it's recommended that you start it in your userspace (for example, User:PuppyOnTheRadio/Article about stuff) so you can edit it at your leisure. If you decide to create it in the cold world of mainspace, make sure it is in accordance with the policies laid out above, and if you're not done put the "Work-In-Progress" template - {{construction}} - onto it as well.
If the current colonization doesn't suit your fancy, then browse our rewrite and idea categories. We have lots of articles just sitting around for someone to improve, so don't be afraid - dive right in!
If you need help, ask me on my talk page, ask at the Dump, or ask an administrator on their talk page. Additionally, the Uncyclopedian Adopt-a-Noob program is there to bring experienced editors straight to you. Simply leave a message on an adopter's talkpage to join. I responded here. Congratulations condolences congratulations! I posted a short note on the IC talk page. I'm repeating, but I would be happy to assist you (and also I'm still responsible for doing final stuff on Bruce Wayne and Discordianism. Once an IC article is "finished" and goes for Pee Review, you can still expect another week or two of wrap up work). For your psychoanalysis of Batman Bruce Wayne[edit source]
This person wrote an article which became one of the Featured Articles on Uncyclopedia. Ain't they clever?!
Due to your insightful psychoanalysis, Bruce Wayne will now be kept secure and safe in the Elizabeth Arkham Asylum for the Criminally Insane. Gotham City
User:Why do I need to provide this?/sig10 19:43, April 26, 2010 (UTC)
Your edits to the article itself were minimal, although definitely beneficial (I still love the acronym). However, in the opinion of myself and some other very experienced colonizers/IC leaders, a detailed concept and/or outline that became the foundation for the article deserves credit. Not even counting the number of different suggestions you made, your very detailed concept for psychoanalysis Batman in Uncyclopedia talk:Imperial Colonization/Batman formed this article. Me be gone[edit source]
In case you didn't see any of my notes spread hither and yon, I'll be inactive here until about Cinco de Mayo (5 May). However, I will at some point before 1 May post or email you bits of info on what I did to get colonizations started. You can feel free to email me through Uncyclopedia as I plan to check my email now and then.
It took me hours and hours to search through histories scattered hither and yon to find what others did in IC because the founder wasn't here to ask or advise me, but I want to spare you that. Discordianism has been copied to main space (I had Transformers moved, and it screwed up the editing history--there'll be an edit on Main Space followed by one moved from IC space and then another from Main space, so it looked like people had made edits they hadn't--glance at the history of Transformers and you'll see what I mean).
Also if it's OK with you and other colonizers I'd like to work as your assistant. For now I might as well keep the title Buccaneer Admiral as an assistant as it's not an official IC title anyway, unless people object. A real-life buccaneer operated under authority with a letter of marquee.
Also we still need something to thank people who voted for Bruce Wayne. I'm with you--I don't particularly feeling obligated to thank people for voting for what they believe, but it is tradition here. King of the Internet Alden Loveshade??? (royal court) 23:10, April 26, 2010 (UTC)

Hello ladies, gentlemen, and other,
As you may be aware we have now reached the point where April's Colonisation, Discordianism, has been successfully moved to mainspace, and we are currently voting on our colonisation for May.
As I have been press-ganged encouraged strongly to take the reigns of IC, I'm sending this out to remind all current and previous members of IC to vote on next months colonisation. Voting is taking place here as we speak. As of 1st of May I will be announcing the page that will get our tender mercies, so I encourage you to vote - or nominate - now.

UnNews:AudioArchive[edit source]
This list of UnNews audios doesn't work, hasn't worked since I've been here, doesn't claim to give you more than the contributions for 2006, doesn't even do that, and even if it did, an alphabetical list of all contributions ever would not be useful. Can you repair it? Is there any point in doing so? Spıke ¬ 11:15 28-Apr-10
- Doesn't work? In what way? Quick glance says it lists all UnNews articles that have UnNews Audio as a category. It works on the article and not the audio file. I can't see any fault in the way it does that. Have you got an example of an omission?
- Contributions for 2006 Nope. Someone has added that heading at some stage but it's meaningless.
- Alphabetical list It's not an ordered list. That can be changed, but it means that it will take longer to load. How much longer I don't know, but I have created a page before that wouldn't load due to the enormous amount of processing it had to do. DPLs have a purpose, but they have limitations.
- Can I repair it? It doesn't seem to be broken, just unordered.
- Point in doing so? None that I can see. If anyone has a purpose for this list then I'll change it, but it does nothing worthwhile, but does no harm. I'd leave it there for people like me trying to work out coding, but beyond that, I'm ignoring it.
- If you still want something done with it then I will, but otherwise I'm just ignoring it. No harm, no fowl. Nominally Humane! some time Wednesday, 14:42, Apr 28 2010 UTC
Doesn't work in the sense that I have never gotten a complete list out of it. I tried just now and it stopped at the F's (February) and my browser status bar said Done. Indeed the list that I see is in alphabetical order. Separately, I don't think a list of all articles ever is useful, but that's a wish-list item and not a bug. Spıke ¬ 15:52 28-Apr-10
PS--I changed "unordered" to "ordered" and Previewed--It stops at 500 entries. Spıke ¬ 15:57 28-Apr-10
- DPLs stop at 500 entries. There is a way around it, which is in short saying "Do the same again, but start at entry 501." I'll do something with it tonight to get over that hurdle. Found an explanation of it--back at UN:HAX, of course. I suppose if you got it to display all of the perhaps 3000 articles with audios, I could text-search for words of interest. Better, though: Is there a way to make a DPL search for pages that contain both of two specified categories? Spıke ¬ 23:16 28-Apr-10

Thanks for the Pee Review of my article Little Yellow Wong, and I believe almost everything you said was spot on. I was actually struggling to find good images, but I love the one you found. About the meta humour, do you think my little "hey kids, lampshading" footnote was good or not? Too much?
Thanks again

Hello. I think Mordillo has a good point in the nom, needs more funny. My suggestion is to have you, myself, or someone who hasn't worked on the page come in and everyone else back off and let an edit sweep sweep some of the boring and seriousness out and the funny in. Otherwise Mordillo may have sunk the battleship. Unless we just want to keep it as is, but it seem to keep changing every few hours anyway. Aleister des chain 21:00 29 4 mmx
- I'm leaving it as is at the moment. There was significant criticism of Batman when it went on to VFH, which I also decided to leave as is, and then after it died down it was then redone and renamed, which were significant changes that improved the article. When that went up again as Bruce Wayne it was strongly supported. If I put something up for VFH I assume that it's good enough to be featured a it currently stands. If I am shown to be wrong, then I'll change it, but at this stage I have faith that Mordillo, UU, and Matt Lobster are in the wrong. Nominally Humane! some time Thursday, 22:11, Apr 29 2010 UTC

- My problem with collabs, to be serious, is I dislike doing sweep edits of someone else's work-in-progress. The one I did sweep edit after a nom was Nintendo when it needed a few votes on VFH. I personally think that one aspect of VFH is a wider-audience pee review, so I do respond to comments there when I think they are correct, and rework or tweek some sections of a page (the most recent was Chedder's rebuke to me about not using Pac-man in Ghosts, and that improved the page). Discordianism is doing very well on the For side, so people do like it. Others search for more funny. - My personal thing on collabs is that I'm not that good at them. I'm a control freak when it comes to my writing, and I like to have things my way. Doing a collab for me is an exercise in patience. Other people's input is as valid as mine and in many cases makes for a better article, but I have trouble seeing it. I stepped out of Tim Burton because I thought I could do it better (although I may come back to it now review is done). I dominated creationism and went through it regularly with an axe to the stuff I didn't think was that good, as well as throwing in huge chunks of my own stuff, and even then I got frustrated as one of my better jokes got ruined because it was moved out of context, which made it come across as just a random side-note, which then someone removed until I went back in and reinstated it in the right place. But Stereotype, before I rewrote it, was a long running collab between so many different editors including heaps of IPs, which I looked at, thought it was randumbo, came up with a different concept, and completely rewrote it. - If we do Sci Fi it'll be two weeks to complete first draft, then review, and then final week to polish, and then up for VFH. If we assume that review will take a week then that's four weeks of working prior to nomming, which is significant time - if I say a month then we'll stretch out to 7 weeks and there'll be no IC collab for May, and Why has done such a good job keeping the momentum going on this I don't want to screw that up. - If I may be allowed to go back to the original topic, my personal suspicion on Discordianism is that it's probably going to read as very funny if you know the background, and funny to mildly funny if you don't. As I said on the IC talk page, I plan to ask no voters for suggestions--if it fails VFH. I'd say it will fail, but I also thought when it had a score of 9 it was going to get featured, too. - Well, as someone who didn't know the background, I found it hard to access. Once I did read on a bit though I found it genuinely funny, but I agree that the first person approach to this probably didn't work as well as hoped. That doesn't mean that I'm one of these no 1st person articles or else type of people, especially as the majority of my articles are non-encyclopaedic. I'd consider this a very funny article, and something well worth feature, but not ideal for the casual reader. Two things, Tim Burton and the Playstation ad[edit source]
If you would take on a quick or long edit sweep of Tim Burton that would be very very good for the page. I'd say, if you can do so, read the pee review, give it 15 minutes or more, be merciless, and shape it using both the materials there and your own brainpan. Puppyize it. If you agree, light one candle in the darkness, if not, douse the candle, and we will continue to live in darkness, wary of the unknown. Thanks either way.
The ad you made that's up for pee review, I think I'm one of those confused. How much was yours and how much was sporked. I figured you cut in the condom ad at the end, or maybe just the buttsex joke, but from your comments at Chief it seems you did much more (or added the music?). So on the pee request maybe you can go into more detail on how much and what you added. I've never seen the original ad, so don't know how much is yours. And thanks for your comments/ideas on the user page nom for Unregister User (a sly work around) and towards Cheddars ideas of a ghost writing contest. As you probably do, I've got one or two too many irons in the fire right now, and a couple of them seem to have melted into shapeless blobs. Must. Seek. New. Meds. Al, seeking new meds, please send to P.O.Box. . . 10:33 30 4
- Ad - I've attached a copy of the original, but few if any readers will recognise it anyway, so I'd prefer this be a review based upon what I've given people, as opposed to what was there before and changed. TB - I'm trying to get a chance to go through it. I'd probably do 3 or 4 sweeps to really puppycise it, but time is not a friend at the moment, so if you get someone else to have a go, brilliant, otherwise I will get there, but not fast. Also I'd like to get an idea if spellcheck is worth a feature. It's sitting in PEE queue and has been for a while, so I could nom it sans PEE, but I'm not sure about it. It's clever, but I'm not sure if it's too clever, or if the funny gets lost in translation. Nominally Humane! some time Friday, 12:31, Apr 30 2010 UTC
- Looked at the ad, alright, very good. The one and only ad-vice I would have is, if it's even possible with all the work involved, change "a time" to just "time" (There's always time for Buttsex). This makes the line much clearer, to me, as I was hung up on the line wsith my puny brain trying to tie-it in for just a hundreth of a second or so, too long in this fast-paced world. Nice work. Will check out Spellcheck soon. Al sans chains 20:12 (time for Buttsex!) 30 4 MMX

I'm fucking flattered too! Thanks for the pic at James Bevel. I don't know why it wouldn't upload onto the site, thought I had to process right. I'll have to practice uploading a few pics to get a grasp on the process. It's usually fun when wikipedia and uncy will have the same pic in the same location, with different captions. On the science fiction page, it will be interesting to see how this sorts itself out. You may have to be the overlord and put your stamp on everything, and then sweep everyone else aside and write the page yourself. Discordianism collapsed under unfunny and the lack of people like me not going in and doing a major editsweep and cut-job, and I have no one to blame but myself you. Just looked at it again and now pics are coming out (I stole the haunted house for the Haunted House page). Most of the pics are fine and funny, some esp. stand out (the guy hanging. Dude? Dude? Are you okay?). The maps and the number 6, etc., as bottom pics confused me as to who "I" am who is looking at the screen. Am I a map? Or am I showing the person a map? And on a few of them a little more conversation would be funny, if the people really connect they start to talk and that leaves room for a few lines of hlarious side-splitting conversation (YMSCIHMF). The one I like would be when Luke screams Noooooo, then Darth starts giving him fatherly advice, how to date, what career path to take ("You can't go wrong with backing your major up with a Business Admin. minor, Luke"). It's almost there, but more is expected of you now that you've become "Puppy" and have exceled with so many great features, and "great" is not "good" enough, the Puppy must put people ROTFL or glued to their seats in amazement. Nah, just jokin', fill in a bit more conversation and maybe lose some of the ??? pics and it's feature ready. I'd be glad and most honored to nom it for you if you'd like, Luke. Change my age[edit source]
Puppy I had a birthday and want to change my age on my website. But then I thought it would be fun if it was a different number every time you go there. I'd like to make random quotes too. Can you tell me how to do that? I don't know too much about html. DAP Dame Pleb Com. Miley Spears (talk) 21:59, May 6, 2010 (UTC)
- Short answer - it can't be done. HTML is designed to create static pages - the concept is that if you print a html page and then go back in and look at the same page with the same source code, it will be exactly the same. Longer answer is that this can be done using scripting. You could do it using server end scripting which means that it will work no matter what the users settings are, but for this you'd need to have active server pages or something similar, which having a quick look at your site I don't think your host allows. The alternative is that you do user end scripting such as javasript, vbs or flash. This means that the user will most likely get a pop-up saying something along the lines of "active content on this page. Allow/deny" or something like that. JS I could do fairly easily, although I haven't used it for a while so it might take me a bit to do. VBS I can also do, but I'd avoid as that is Microsoft and that may cause problems for people viewing on a mac. I have never used flash before as a programmer so I'm not sure how I'd go about it. Oh, and do you have any photos of the PETA protest? Just for educational purposes, mind you. Your mother sucks hell in cocks

Moving Science fiction[edit source]
Just a suggestion from the IC Old Fart. I see you've put Science fiction on the IC project page, which I think is fine. I started out doing it that way, then decided to make the project page a redirect to the current project. In any case, I'd suggest when IC is done with SF, I'd move the current [[Uncyclopedia:Imperial Colonization/project]] (and its talk page) to a new page [[Uncyclopedia:Imperial Colonization/Science fiction]] (and its talk page). I'd then put links through IC, making it easy for future people to find the stuff.

In other news, are you happy with Chat as it is? Tomorrow sometime I'd like to nom it, because even with its many obvious faults minor glitches it's still a technical, innovative, and well written page. What do you think of extending the time to write Sci-fi to the end of the month? That's part of the reason why I built a possible extension into the system--all three articles I oversaw were done on time according to the optional extension. King of the Internet Alden Loveshade??? Truth about Coca-Cola[edit source]
I liked the page when I first found it on Random pages, a couple of days after you mainspaced it. What about doing the same thing you did with Cyclone, giving the reader about 15 seconds and then twisting the page on them and the unsponsored version replaces Coke-Lite. And nice work on sci-fi, a pre-pee review version is very good and it can only improve as it edges towards a final state. Socky's template is interesting too. Why don't we dissolve Sci-fi to, after about 45 seconds, and Dogs Like Pizza would take its place. Al in Chains 11:29 24 5 mmx

- Active content on pages is a bitch. I can do hover effects and transforming graphics (to an extent) and I can do click to reveal (albeit limited) and reload with different content (like chatroulette) and I'm starting to play with video, but incorporating audio is a nightmare (except for play on click), but true pop-up boxes are impossible, as is transforming text. - I agree--I make a point when I do a follow-up review of not reading any previous review. Sometimes I'll read a previous review after I do mine, but not before. I did read an earlier one once, and it threw me off. I couldn't be positive I was stating my opinion and not restating someone else's--would I have thought of this particular point on my own or did I only think of it because someone else did?--so I didn't do it again. (Actually, that didn't happen here; it happened before I came here). It's the same with judging PLS--I won't look at another judge's comments on a category I'm judging until I do my own. Discordianismism[edit source]
I pruned and plucked and cut Discordianism, added a few funnies, and left a canvas for you to some puppy magic on. If you can add funny where it seems funniest--and I made a code mistake somewhere and bisected a photo with a blue quote box. Maybe you can fix it, thanks. And . . .by the way, I once saw a pic on the site of a bearded guy posing in that famous Crowley pose that's used on the page. Do you know where it would be? MadMax would probably know but he seems to have hightailed it south, or gone fishing or something. That pic would be funnier than the traditonal Crowley pic. Dogs love pizza. Al sans chains 15:06 29 5 mmx
- After I expressed disagreement with the prunes and plucks that were made to the article, AiC reverted those edits except for a photo caption I thought he improved. Now I see AiC has reverted his reverts to go back to the changes I disliked. I have no intention of getting into a revert war with another editor. But I would like to know when you think you'll have a chance to work on the article. I know you'll check the comments for improvements on the Discordianism talk page and the history of edits.
- Also I like our earlier picture which shows the real Crowley better for this article than the one that was substituted, the Alan Moore imitation, especially because the Moore image is already on 50 Uncyclopedia pages.
- And while I consider the colonization to be a success as it was, let's be honest; getting Discordianism featured would be a nice bonus. The article did get 13 votes for as it was submitted to VFH. If we make too many changes, many of those for votes could change to against. King of the Internet Alden Loveshade??? (royal court) 22:12, May 31, 2010 (UTC)

The present edit (not to mention that it leaves room for Puppy to add funny) is fine, will get the 13 votes and most of the 10 who were so lost in the page they couldn't figure out where Minnie Rae started or Discoridiansim ended, and those who thought it just wasn't funny. So spittle and twitter. The funny new Crowley pic is on almost no pages, it was used on a tiny template and is on some users pages, most of them inactive. - Whine, moan, and whine. I can read the previous version and the version Al has changed it to. I've read through the original review, the VFH comments, the side comments and the stuff from the talk page. I've got a good idea of the original concept, and I can see what edits have been done so far along the way, and I'm getting a more in-depth understanding of the topic itself. Why, Al has his own style which I appreciate and I appreciate his input into the article, as I do with the large body of work he has put into Science Fiction. Al, Why has put a lot of effort and time into both this and the extremely in-depth review of Science fiction, and has a passion for both of these topics, and also has a huge amount of worthwhile feedback. Credit for Science Fiction[edit source]
Puppy, I realize you can't get on as often as before (that sucks--you're one of my favorite bitches). But it's probably time to give credit to those who worked on Science Fiction on the Big Board. As I know you're having problems getting access, I can do it if you like.
For the three colonizations I led, I gave IC credit to: 1) anyone who made a helpful writing edit, even if small; 2) anyone who added a photo; 3) anyone who happened to be a member of IC but wasn't a major contributor to the article who did an in-depth Pee Review of the article. Feature credit I was much more particular on, but for IC credit if you contributed to the article, you got credit. I believe that tradition far preceeded my short term. But there's also a tradition that the head of IC when an article is written gets to make that decision, so for Science Fiction it's your decision.
So let me know if you'd like me to update the board. King of the Internet Alden Loveshade??? (royal court) 02:35, June 7, 2010 (UTC)

How To Embed Video?[edit source]
Hey Puppy, Chief told me you would be the guy to ask this.
How can I embed a video to an article that is not a youtube video? ---Maniac1075Complain Here 08:22, June 15, 2010 (UTC)
- I don't know that it is possible to be honest. I have seen something relating to adding flash to a page before and a lot of online video content is flash, but I've never done it as it causes issues in relationship to a warning message and pages not loading properly. I recall reading something at one stage on mediawiki which relates to getting video from youtube and a few other similar sites, but I have a feeling that the version of software it was relating to is not a version that uncyc works on. We can't upload video to uncyc at present, so that's why the best option I've found is to upload it to Youtube and link it from there. Spang or Sannse may have another option that I'm not aware of, but I don't know that I can help. What is the video content? It's it's images only and not too long there is a potential of an animated gif, but that also has significant limitations. Nominally Humane! some time Tuesday, 08:42, Jun 15 2010 UTC
- its the pilot for Wonder Showzen, which is a 15 min long .flv file from http://embed.break.com/NTI4Mjc2 which could be uploaded in its entirety to youtube, but would have to be split into two videos, plus, it's most likely copyrighted, so no point in making a paid for youtube account to host it (in its 15 min entirety) as it would most likely be taken off youtube anyway. so thats why I wanted to know if it can be linked to from sources other then youtube ---Maniac1075Complain Here 10:01, June 15, 2010 (UTC)
- I'll have a look into it, but I don't think it's possible. Is the value of it's inclusion enough for the effort? Don't mean to be harsh, but a 15 minute unoriginal vid doesn't really sound like it would have any value on site. Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong. Nominally Humane! some time Tuesday, 11:36, Jun 15 2010 UTC

I still don't know if it can be done directly, but I think Socky had a flash object embedded in his talk page at some stage, so I could be wrong. Ask Spang and Sannse. Also check in with Socky, as I have a vague feeling he's done something with this in the past. I'll see what I can find out on my end.

- I found the thingie I was after, and the short answer is no, unless you can work out a way to embed a flash player into a page and call the original flv. Having said that, I came accross something else that seems to allow us to incorporate wmv files into a wiki. I've handed it on to Spang, as I haven't got enough knowledge on how that end of things works, and I'll see what he says. But we need a way to have video on Uncyc that doesn't rely on youtube. It's past time that we had more video content here.
- Oh I know how to embed youtube, just < youtube >videourlhere</ youtube> etc... I've already dont that on the wondershowezen page... but adding media that is not from youtube is what i'm after here, so yeah, lets hope Spang can do something with it. ---Maniac1075Complain Here 13:25, June 15, 2010 (UTC)

Margins after transclusion[edit source]
What am I doing wrong? I seem to be unable to specify margins for DIVs in templates, and the margins I see under Preview are not the margins that take effect on pages where the code is transcluded.
- In {{UnNewsSpecialtyIndex}}, a solution was to cease to specify width=100%. This template has enough text in it to ask for all available width.
- But in UnNews:UnNewsNavBar, when I don't specify width=100%, what I get is much narrower than the page. When I do, what I get is wider than the parent element. The Nav Bar is currently almost centered on the page using a set of kludges.

What do you think of what I've done so far on the new USP design? Obviously it will need to be changed around to resemble your ideas, which I will start doing this evening. -- emaciated Ape (putrefy) (Riot Porn) 17:13, June 21, 2010 (UTC)
Hey[edit source]
This is cool. Sadly, Mhaille is still having to host the videos on his own site, but you could try this way of embedding and see if it works (though it's unlikely as YouTube is a bitch). MegaPleb • Dexter111344 • Complain here 20:44, June 21, 2010 (UTC)

Thanks for reading, considering and voting on my article for FA, HowTo:Be Reverend Zim ulator. You are right to have voted against it. I was worried for Funnybony's sanity when he nommed it. I'm glad it was good for a few chuckles, at least. This will be the article that will, in future, be refered to as "the one that got people calling him the Walter Cronkite of UnNews" Cheers! Rev. This image is wrong[edit source]
Can you edit this picture to make it look like Gillard is in it? Also, please help me with the People's Republic of Australia article; I couldn't think of any good ALP jokes. 12:20, June 27, 2010 (UTC)
- Cleaned up duplicate. You could chop in an image of Julia using MS paint - it'd be a shit easy task. I'll have to try and find to do it though, and I'm horribly time poor at the moment. As for the article, if I get a chance and am moved by the muse I'll give it a shot. Nominally Humane! some time Sunday, 13:01, Jun 27 2010 UTC
Regarding Prime Direction[edit source]
Can I work on a news related o Uncyclopedia/article for that magazine? Also, I apologize for going spammy over the Last person to edit wins thing. 11:14, July 1, 2010 (UTC)
- First issue is nearly done - sort of. I'm having an issue with the format, and I'll be moving it back on to Wiki format to start with and then move it on to pdf. Nominally Humane! some time Friday, 00:30, Jul 2 2010 UTC

Quick Question[edit source]
As you're the wiki formatting king, I have an idea which will require pressing one "button" to move to one piece of bullshit and a different "button" to move to another. Each will be short, so I don't really want to create dozens of useless pages.A bit like Chatroulette but not random (I assumed it was random, possibly not). Is it posible? If so how? Please remember that I'm quite thick and won't understand anything technical. Also, I haven't actualy written most of it yet. --Sog1970 21:30, July 1, 2010 (UTC)
- Chatroulette is random after the first 20 or so iterations, but the inital pages are planned. There are a number of different things that can be done in this sort of regard. I've also worked out a way to tighten up the coding on Game:Alone in the dark so that it doesn't involve lots of sub-pages, but rather it would be one page and several templates. I guess there are ways that this may be able to be done, but I'm not sure what you're looking for. The options off the top of my head are:
- Show/hide: Have a look at UnBooks:Where do babies come from? and the way the pages work. This is one page and involves no re-loading, but there's no way to get rid of the show/hide written there.
- Hover: This is using the sighidden stuff to be able to have things crop up on screen depending on where the mouse hovers. The game screen with the floating fingers in Game:Alone in the dark/Game/0/0/0 is an example of this.
- Click and reload: This is the older fashioned way where you click on a particular section, link, etc, and it reloads the page. It can be done where the one page has a number of variations, like Chatroulette, but involves reload with every iteration.
- I've got a bit on my plate at the moment, but if you can give me an example of what you're thinking of I'll throw code at you - and I'll try and dumb it down. Nominally Humane! some time Friday, 00:42, Jul 2 2010 UTC
- Thanks. I have it in mind to write God's Answering Service - phone queue for prayers, that sort of thing. An initial "recorded message" screen with a press 1 for this going to a different screen and press 2 for the other. Unless that's going to be difficult. Sounds like the last option, I think. --Sog1970 07:26, July 2, 2010 (UTC)
- Last option. Coding is not too hard, but how detailed do you want to get? If you're only going for short and snappy stuff then float can do it. I'll throw something together tomorrow my time and show you what I'm thinking. Collab? Me code, you funny? Nominally Humane! some time Friday, 14:11, Jul 2 2010 UTC
- Seems fair. I've sketched out a few ideas. Will need some extras and pics etc. --Sog1970 21:53, July 2, 2010 (UTC)
- The follow up pages are going to User:Sog1970/God stuff. It's not finished and the words will need changing but that's how it always is at this stage.
- Great Phone! I've put in a basic start text and I'll work up the words for the follow up pages. thanks. --Sog1970 16:23, July 5, 2010 (UTC)

YOUR LATEST FEETUR[edit source]
As it's going to completely bork the front page and I'm too lazy to calculate the pixel/width ratio of the blank book image with the gifs on it, can you give me ratios that will allow me to present it in about half its current size? Thanks ~ 15:45, July 5, 2010 (UTC)

I had a dream about you.[edit source]
Yep. You were the son of a mathematician named Potter. Your parents were killed in some kind of a revolt, leaving you to be raised alone in a laundromat. Somewhere in your life you changed your name to Jack Dougan. I am resolving not to eat hot dogs right before bed. Anyway, see you later! • • • Necropaxx (T) {~} Wednesday, 01:40, Jul 7 2010
- Very close. I'm the son of a programmer who's a pothead. My parents were revolting, causing me to spend a significant amount of my childhood alone in a games arcade. Somewhere in my life I changed my name to Justin Danger, but also use the psuedonym Jack Dougan in respect to the wild colonial boy. I also am hot and named after a dog. Your a person of Australian descent?[edit source]
I did not know that, but that's okay: we're all part of the same Anglosphere. Don't want to call you an aussie, since I don't have A-word privileges.
Now I needz your help. How do I get a gray striped background for my (incomplete) article on Sickipedia, like the website Sickipedia? if it helps, I found the link to the picture of the background on the site. And what the fuck is Prime Direction?-- 07:44, July 16, 2010 (UTC)
- Yep. I rode to work on the back of a kangaroo this morning and had to wrestle an alligator inn the river in my backyard this afternoon.
- As for background images - it's impossible. There are tricks that can be used to make this possible though. Conservapedia uses one of the tricks, but the gist of it is that I've dropped a div behind the navigation panel that has a background the same colour as the Conservapedia background, and changed the logo. UnDebate: Is it ever right to restrict freedom of speech? has a somewhat more complex solution, as it has a few different elements involved, and Myface and Microsoft Knowledge Base both have a few tricks as well to get the wiki site to look like another site. These latter two are a little more complex as I used more of a brute force method to get them to have the look I wanted, and I did them when I was a little younger in my wiki formatting so there are more elegant solutions I've found or worked out to some of the problems I faced then. (I really should get back in there and fix that at some stage.)
- The short answer is though that there is no short answer, and that kind of coding takes time - a luxury I have very little of. My idea would be to create a number of nested divs and paste the background images in there. It works a little like this-
- Thingy removed because it was ugly
- I haven't tested it, but I think that should give you the top left hand side of the screen above the main area. Have a play with that until you get it right and get back to me. Nominally Humane! some time Friday, 09:00, Jul 16 2010 UTC

Pee Queue thing[edit source]
So yeah, at least one person has bitched in the forums that the queue is getting lengthy - it must be time for action! I'm respectfully requesting that every active peeing member do one or two reviews this week to hammer that sucker right down. You may already have done some, I'm just copy/pasting this message on to your page, so don't feel slighted, just feel I'm lazy - you'll be right. But if you haven't done any, do you think you could rattle a review or two off this week? Let's show 'em what we can do when we can be arsed! --UU - natter 20:42, Jul 19
