Hi. I'd like to request for me to be able to directly QVFD articles, but only (1) cross namespace redirects, (2) author requests deletion, so that this way I can stop annoying you bout this and your tp will literally reach over 100 kB in a month at this rate.--Gale5050 complain about me! And see my Wikipedia contributions! 18:19, 1 February 2021 (UTC)
- I'll allow author requests from either yourself, or if the page has been purposefully blanked by its author. For cross-namespace redirects, I would still advise that you bug me for those, since Uncyclopedia doesn't have an explicit rule like CSD R2. Cassandra (talk) 07:17pm February 1, 2021
- I actually made User:Gale5050/Uncyclopedia: Cross namespace redirects! Please move to the main Uncyclopedia space, add a shortcut to it(like UN:R2 or UN:CSR), and if necessary make it an ignorable policy.--Gale5050 complain about me! - Also please delete I-4. --Gale5050 complain about me! And see my Wikipedia contributions! 20:34, 1 February 2021 (UTC)
- I copied the essay to UN:XNR, I won't really make it a rule, simply because it would be difficult to grandfather in; I wouldn't mind having other users refer to it when QVFDing redirects though, since often times, it could serve as a very valid reason. As for I-4, owing to how the redirect has lasted 11 years, I won't bother removing it; however, for any "newer" articles that do not warrant mainspace status and which do not fit within UN:XNR's recommendations, feel free to let me know so I can huff them. - Unfortunately, I have absolutely no fucking idea how Merge Histories works, and I kind of goofed it up when I tried, so oh well, I don't think that's going to happen (unfortunately). Request
On the new usergroups thing, I propose two new usergroups. I am for, and will explain why so please copy over if appropriate.
IP block exemption
The abuse filter blocks as hardblocks, meaning registered users on the same IP as a spambot can't edit. With IPBE, a non spambot user can request the flag and edit behind the blocked IP address. Also, if an account is blocked under 24 hrs, it allows them to edit after the block, due to the autoblock. It will allow open proxies to be hardblocked; any good faith contributor should email an administrator or checkuser to get the flagFile mover
I am concerned with how many files are being moved and worry if people who don't have experience keep moving them we could have an issue. This could be included inrollback
, or be its own thing, but it should involve some trust to be able to move files.
Also, for PCR, replying to MrX's concern-yes, there protected to be in the feature spotlight(some are full protected), but the protection is indef and not 5 days. However, there are other cases, like when a page gets some IP vandalism. As an example, Information was semi protected after one spambot edit; PCR could be used to ensure it never happens again. Yeah, its confusing, but I think its needed. Probably doesn't need a whole usergroup. --Gale5050 complain about me! And see my Wikipedia contributions! 18:40, 2 February 2021 (UTC)
- Gale5050, semi-protection already takes care of that problem. MrX 19:04, 2 February 2021 (UTC)
- I personally think that IPBE is almost a necessity, but I'm not sure about file mover; maybe restrict it to ECUs? JJP...MASTER![talk to] JJP... master? 18:45, 2 February 2021 (UTC)
- If ECU passes maybe, but I think it requires more trust then that. JJPMaster remember on Wikipedia there are only 407 file movers, compared to 1113 admins. If uncyclopedia has 38 admins, Uncyclopedia shold have ~14 file movers. I'd prefer a more experienced user moving my files, I don't think ECU is enough. --Gale5050 complain about me! And see my Wikipedia contributions! 18:52, 2 February 2021 (UTC)
- Go ahead and put the others up for a vote if you must, here's how I see it:
- IP block exemption, has anyone had a problem with this??
- You are "concerned with how many files are being moved", unless something is wrong with the move log, the last time a file was moved was on January 24th, and the last time a file was moved by someone other than Gale5050 was on January 4th, so again, where's the problem? MrX 19:08, 2 February 2021 (UTC)
- IPBE maybe, but it would allow fewer. People turn away when there IP is hardblocked.
- It doesn't have to be recent; there are pages with broken files. I think I can expect more experienced editors.
- --Gale5050 complain about me! And see my Wikipedia contributions! 19:21, 2 February 2021 (UTC)
- IPBE, I'll most definitely bug Lyrithya about it (without a vote) since it seems to be quite essential. As for File Mover permissions, I think that it could just fit slip into Extended Confirmed or Rollback, simply because of how Rollback is basically Uncyclopedia's "in-between-autoconfirmed-and-sysop" userright; although, having a new general purpose "Non-Administrative Privileges" userrole would work well too. I'll think about whether to put it up to a vote later on. Cassandra (talk) 08:02pm February 2, 2021

Also, {{OhDear}} should be mixed in there as well, maybe merged with uw-vandalism1. --Gale5050 complain about me! And see my Wikipedia contributions! 21:33, 2 February 2021 (UTC)
- Wait, that's a category redirect, do you mean its target, or the redirect itself? Although I don't object to its deletion, given that that also means we need to create a category for every single template eventually. JJP...MASTER![talk to] JJP... master? 21:28, 2 February 2021 (UTC)
- But is it really? When do you think uw-spam2 will ever be issued is the question. --Gale5050 complain about me! And see my Wikipedia contributions! 21:26, 2 February 2021 (UTC)
- Actually... I don't think category redirects are possible, as per mw:Help:Categories. I'll set up a category tree instead. Cassandra (talk) 09:52pm February 2, 2021
- Category redirects are possible, just discouraged. If you want, you can use {{category redirect}} just for fun. JJP...MASTER![talk to] JJP... master? 21:54, 2 February 2021 (UTC)

Can you please wrap the "{{Main|User talk:Cassie/Gale5050 sanctions|l1=Gale5050 sanctions}}" thing at /Gale5050 sanctions in <includeonly> tags so that the main article tag doesn't appear on the page itself? I was so good at counting that I apparently, almost single-handedly, broke the entire website. I apologize. Have a good day, and may Sophia bless you, JJP...MASTER![talk to] JJP... master? 22:29, 2 February 2021 (UTC)
- Okay. You shattered the record for the longest page on Uncyclopedia, at more than 3,186,533 whole fucking bytes. I had to set up not one, not two, but three seperate archives to fix everything up. But for real... don't worry about it. Just ping me at every 250,000 numbers so nothing breaks too much, and try to limit yourself to 1,000 numbers per edit. That should keep things slightly more tame. Also, I"m sorry, Lyrithya. (I wouldn't be sorry if this were Wikia.) Cassandra (talk) 10:34pm February 2, 2021
- Also in the doc why did you say not to transclude templates? – Preceding unsigned comment added by JJPMaster (talk • contribs)

Forum:Part 2: Proposal to institute term lengths for admins
The page has been unedited for 7 days and is archived, no editing permitted. I think the consensus is to keep the status quo, with the highest score of +6. - I marked the forum to end at midnight on February 8th, so I forcibly unlocked the forum. I'll remind everyone on the Uncyclopedia Discord Server to vote for it, since many users there haven't yet. We'll see where the consensus goes from there on out, but if nothing happens, I'll discuss /w Zombiebaron about how to implement whichever option that is chosen. Cassandra (talk) 06:24pm February 3, 2021
- Yeah, we should definitely let it go til the 8th since that's what people had been told. If you're wondering why I haven't voted yet, it's cuz now I'm torn. I still like Cassie's proposal, but CandidToaster brought up a good point that it could deter older admins from returning. Also, don't be afraid to use your "Against" vote too: you can vote one FOR AND one AGAINST, not one or the other. This could help settle tiebreakers if needed. - In this case I'll set up a hidden category, Category:Pages that use a Title template. It'll be a temporary mesaure though, so please work on it quick! - I'll quickly take care of it. I've got another idea in order to compensate for each person's activity level: each person's vote counts for the same amount as the square root of the number of edits they made in 2020, rounded down. A simple example: someone who made 900 edits in 2020 will have their vote count as 30 votes, whilst someone who made just 16 edits will have their vote counted as 4. That should provide a good compromise so inactive admins don't feel disenfranchised. Cassandra (talk) 07:39pm February 3, 2021
- Yes, but some people may not know how many edits they made in 2020. Even me, lemme find out. --Gale5050 complain about me! And see my Wikipedia contributions! 19:42, 3 February 2021 (UTC)
- I should be able to count it manually for everyone who votes. Time consuming for sure, but an acceptable compromise granted the importance of this vote. Cassandra (talk) 07:44pm February 3, 2021

- I will add that IMO, the way it should work is, is that instead of making it more complicated, the two with the most do a runoff vote(which cost the Republicans the Senate), and see from there in part 3. Otherwise this is gonna go nowhere. --Gale5050 complain about me! And see my Wikipedia contributions! 19:51, 3 February 2021 (UTC)
- The forum was specifically designed to be a ranked-choice vote: you choose your favorite option and vote for it, and then choose your least favorite option and vote against it. 4 choices means 2 choices with no votes, which creates a problem. It's only for this vote though. Cassandra (talk) 07:47pm February 3, 2021

Vote
You have already departed with our custom of choosing the option with the most votes (on the first round of voting) and arbitrarily decided to hold a run-off. But then during the second round arbitrarily changing the terms of the voting and enacting a weighted vote? We have ALWAYS done one user one vote (.5 for IPs). This is a custom that MUST be decided beforehand and shouldn't be arbitrarily applied to just one vote. If you want to change to a weighted voting system (which I think is a super mega terrible idea) then please start a forum and get the community to decide first (with a 1 vote per user system). Changing the vote in the middle of the second round may have come from good intentions but it was a very bad idea. Please run major changes to the way major site decisions are made, through a voted forum ahead of time. ShabiDOO 22:21, 3 February 2021 (UTC)
- We should also remove the Two-year term lengths with subsequent VFS option, as the only reason to have a second round is to have a run-off with a clear choice between two options. Otherwise we just should have done what we have always done, and choose the option with the most votes in the first round (in which case admins would lose their rights on inactivity). Otherwise...again we would have to have a third round with a run-off if we are being fair. ShabiDOO 22:28, 3 February 2021 (UTC)
- I agree with Shabidoo on the second point but not the first. People create an account just to vote and should be weighted less. Cassie's forum, so he can make the rules. Sure, it's unusual, but many unusual things happen. --Gale5050 complain about me! And see my Wikipedia contributions! 22:38, 3 February 2021 (UTC)
- I will note Shabidoo removed 4 against votes without any (good) reason.--Gale5050 complain about me! And see my Wikipedia contributions! 22:57, 3 February 2021 (UTC)
- The weighted voting system is a one-off (actually, 2-off, since upcoming vote)... the system is additionally made so that people who create an account now only get 0.5 votes, whilst people who edit frequently using IPs can get more than 0.5 votes. I didn't really want to sabotage an election that's already going in place, so.... I'll re-implement the "normal" voting system as well as the "weighted" voting system in parallel, as a compromise. The two-year term option will be removed in a subsequent vote, and a third run-off will occur between Feb. 8 and Feb. 22 for this purpose. Sorry for any confusion. And as for Gale's comment, I'll look into it. Cassandra (talk) 10:57pm February 3, 2021
- No...if you want to do weighted voting then start a new forum and change the general policy. You cannot arbitrarily change the way we have always done things because you feel like it (or because you are particularly sensitive about this vote). Zheesh...I mean the worst result from this vote is some admins who never come will have to reapply for admin. This is not a monumental change anyways. We have ALWAYS done one person one vote (IPs get .5). If you want to have a "user's need to have an account for minimum weeks before voting and minimum edits" for policy votes, start a forum and get the community's approval before making this policy. And do it BEFORE we start a vote, not during it. Please respect the way we do things and get community consensus before making such a huge change. If you do start a forum to discuss this, propose something simple (not a multi-tiered voting system) like a minimum account age and minimum edit count. ShabiDOO 23:09, 3 February 2021 (UTC)
- I've scrubbed off the "vote redesign" stuff for now so it can occur /w a subsequent vote. I know that I may have done this on a whim, in an attempt to point out the disparities shown by admins whom have been inactive for months and "suddenly pop back up" for this purpose. I'll wait until this vote elapses, eliminate the least desirable option, and then subsequently attempt weighted voting for the subsequent runoff vote, to see if it works. Hopefully that is an acceptable way to proceed. My apologies for the insanity today. Cassandra (talk) 11:15pm February 3, 2021

- Alright... I think no one will vote for the 2-year vote option anyway. We'll see how it goes, and February 8th I'll analyze the vote results and subsequently implement anything if required. (If it's the "indefinite rights kept", maybe whether the admin rights should be "stripped and given back upon return automatially" option should be invoked or no, since some users have commented on using such an option, but that's for a seperate vote or something to discuss with the bureaucrats.) But I do disagree with changing the terms in the middle of a vote, and as much I would love to throw down some fat votes (5,000+ edits last year, hey-oh!), I'm also not totally sure that the weighted vote thing is the best thing for everyone. Above all, remember that you kick serious ass, and Praise Sophia. MrX 07:07, 4 February 2021 (UTC)

- I'm fine with being asked all of this. And as for Gale's sanctions, I'm still being somewhat conservative when it comes to where I allow Gale to edit: it's mainly for site-breaking forums (want 'em to have a voice) and other places where a necessity can be demonstrated. I won't lift a larger number of sanctions though, since that defeats the purpose of imposing them in the first place. Cassandra (talk) 08:30pm February 4, 2021

I just came here to ask; what the hell did that forum even say? Was it a rant about IRC or something? JJP...MASTER![talk to] JJP... master? 19:33, 4 February 2021 (UTC)
- It literally said "QVFD" and "This page was intentionally left blank" when I deleted it. Looking at the page history reveals that only User:Y, User:Zombiebaron and User:RAHB worked on the page. It was about Y asking why he was banned from IRC; Zombiebaron asking why do the seasons change; and RAHB asking why they are balding. Cassandra (talk) 07:50pm February 4, 2021

- I implemented Template:Duck to serve basically as a template to replace Template:Duck, Template:Duck2 and Template:Megaphoneduck on Wikipedia; it essentially serves as a 3-in-1 combo absolute unit. You can invoke the "looks like a duck" using
{{Duck|cu=1}}
, with alternatively{{Duck|cu=1|2=a}}

- 172.241.128.0/18(multiple open proxies on this range)

- Setting up 5-year blocks for /20-/24 ranges, 1-year ones for /16-/19 ones. All softblocks, /w acc. creation on the /16. Cassandra (talk) 05:51pm February 5, 2021
- I feel like all spambots should be checkusers so that there IPs can be blocked too, especially as many spambots might be confirmed to one another. IMO, any range above a /24 should be hardblocked, like if a spambot is on 64.57.284.39 and one is 64.57.284.29, the 64.57.284.0/26 blocked range should be a hardblock, only a soft block at greater then or equal to /24. Gale5050 complain about me! And see my Wikipedia contributions! 18:14, 5 February 2021 (UTC)
- 196.247.212.0/23 needs to be blocked, in the meantime. Gale5050 complain about me! And see my Wikipedia contributions! 18:17, 5 February 2021 (UTC)
- Generally, I check for spambots range mostly via incidental abuse log scumming. It works mainly on the most severe of spambots. The reason why I'm against the idea of mixing long blocks and hard (no-registered-accounts-allowed-either) blocks is because it provides practically no means for allowing anyone accidentally caught in the fire to be unblocked. Once an IP-exempt status is introduced, then it could be used. Cassandra (talk) 07:06pm February 5, 2021
- I know. But if only a /28 is blocked, there is practically zero chance anyone but the spambot will be on the range anyway. If a spambot is blocked and checkusered, then there single IP should be hardblocked. Maybe if we only block these proxies for around a month, a hardblock could be used. --Gale5050 complain about me! And see my Wikipedia contributions! 19:10, 5 February 2021 (UTC)
- It's more just to be safe. Many other admins, e.g. Zombiebaron, have expressed concern at blocking even single IPs with hardblocks for 5 years, simply because of the possibility of "dynamic IP addresses". 30 days could be fine though, although it's still stretching it a little. Cassandra (talk) 09:26pm February 5, 2021
- What I'd recommend is when looking at a range, CU an look who is there. If there are good faith accounts, even one, always softblock. I also feel we should pester a sysadmin for IPBE.--Gale5050 complain about me! And see my Wikipedia contributions! 22:00, 5 February 2021 (UTC)

Aimsplode and Gale are both socks
Hey Cassie, I'm really certain that Aimsplode and Gale are the same person. They both used the word "and" in several different sentences. Also...they have both voted at one point or another on an article (highly suspicious). Finally...and this is the killer: their names both have the letters "A" and "E" in it. I hardly think that is just a mere coincidence. I think you should do a check-user and if warranted banish both of them from the internet forever (I believe you have the tools to do that as an uncyclopedia admin). Also...I love that beautiful red shade of lipstick you are wearing! ShabiDOO 22:10, 5 February 2021 (UTC)

- Gale, nobody wants to ban you from VFH. But you don't need to respond to every abstain or unfavourable comment (it is better that you do not). My comment isn't going to influence people's votes (almost everyone just reads the article and then makes up their own mind). In any case, that article is not going to get enough votes in the state that it is in. Yes, but these sanctions are actually constraining me so much, it's making it harder to do things to get them lifted. If I can make many articles VFHworthy, that's reason to lift these sanctions; but it requires communication, especially on a questionable VFH like this. If I cannot do this, then it most likely will fail, like Uncyclopedia: VFH/Interstate 95 (2nd nomination), which was 2/3 after 85 days. Though I was able to reply to nearly every comment. Hurricane Rita is in even worse shape than Interstate 95, so I will need to communicate at some point. --Gale5050 complain about me! And see my Wikipedia contributions! 00:26, 7 February 2021 (UTC)
- I do understand this, so... if your behavior remains continuously well through February 13th, I'll lift the sanction preventing you from communicating on user talk pages as a Valentine's Day gift. This will only be a partial user talk page permit, and is solely applicable for the purposes of communication and asking for feedback. Please contact the user you wish to ask feedback from in their talk page, and not directly on the VFH and VFP pages. I'll scrutinize your edits to determine whether you are respecting the integrity of other Uncyclopedians, in order to make sure that you're not violating the spirit of the sanctions: keeping Uncyclopedia and its users feeling both safe and welcome, whilst still giving you an opportunity to thrive. Cassandra (talk) 12:42am February 7, 2021
- As for Template:RecentUnNews and the Anniversaries pages, I'll allow you to edit them effective immediately. I'll log it in the sanctions page. Cassandra (talk) 12:42am February 7, 2021

URGENT
Cassie. Oh my GAWD! I just determined that User:Shabidoo is a sock of User:Shabidoo. It seems both of them have been gallivanting around as the same person for years!!! That means that both User:Shabidoo AND User:Shabidoo have voted multiple times on the same article and have both taken credit for the same VFH articles. I think they should both be thoroughly flogged and then tarred and feathered in a forum (by all members). Let the thrashing begin! ShabiDOO 12:30, 7 February 2021 (UTC)

Socking
Hi Cassie, here is my general data of socking from a behavioural/minimal technical POV
- WackyWars, MrX and Y are all Likely to Technically indistinguishable
- JJPMaster and Cassie are Technically indistinguishable
- I and Zombiebaron are Possilikely (a mix between possible and likely) to eachother and the previous group
- Hipponias is Unlikely to Shabidoo.
- Hipponias, in an actual serious SPI, is Unrelated to WohMi
- Shabidoo is Confirmed to Shabidoo
- JJPMastest is Confirmed to JJPMaster
- Sudux and InsertStephenHere are Unrelated.
- Aimsplode is Stale.
Can you formalize my findings. Psst....joke SPI--Gale5050 complain about me! And see my Wikipedia contributions! 16:26, 7 February 2021 (UTC)

Ultimate sock
Hi Cassie, I'm really sorry to tell you this but it turns out that almost every user except for User:Gale5050 is a sockpuppet of the same person. That means one creepy guy sitting in his parents basement is behind users such as: CandidToaster, Cat the Colourful, Frosty, Hipponias, Jacobw , JJPMaster, Leverage, Lolerwilde, Lyrithya, Morpheus , MrX, PF4Eva, RealLifeCartman, Rozocran, Supergeeky1, Unicode, WohMi, Zombiebaron. Unfortunately it appears as though I myself am one of these people. Even worse...it seems that you too (Cassie) are just a sock of this same guy. It seems that Gale isn't. This would mean all votes in the last several years have been fraudulent, that nearly all VFH need to be stipped of their featurehood...and that just about every user other than User:Gale5050 needs to be permanently banned. I know this will mean a lot of work for you and the permanent end of your account here...but I think it is for the greater good. Sock fuckery cannot be allowed. My condolences. ShabiDOO 17:46, 7 February 2021 (UTC)
- I do not think so. We even confirmed WohMi is not Hipponias, InsertStephenHere is not Sudux, and so on. I can confirm Zombiebaron and Cassie are in ET, though. If Zombiebaron and Cassie(CassieTYD on enwiki)are the same as JJPMaster, it must be filed in an enwiki SPI. Shabidoo, please do the honors. --Gale5050 complain about me! - Ok, first off, Gale5050, this seems like another situation where you might have written an essay/policy about yourself. Second, what is the point of this? Some of it seems like a joke, some of it seems like a serious but vague set of guidelines for blocking users and/or initiating CU's. Can someone please explain it to me? Otherwise I think we should huff it. MrX 20:42, 7 February 2021 (UTC)
- Honestly, I cannot establish it as an official policy because of Uncyclopedia's more laid back nature. The reason is too vague, and may also violate UN:BITE, so I'm doubtful it'll get accepted by the wider Uncyclopedia community. At the most, I could label it as a non-binding essay. As for page protection, I'll look into that soon(TM). Cassandra (talk) 08:54pm February 7, 2021
