Gale your sanctions are there for a reason. You aren't allowed to edit non-weather articles. Asking Cassie to revert an established user's edit on a non-weather article is just trying to edit non-weather articles by-proxy. It is simply a way of getting around your sanctions. Meanwhile you could be improving your weather articles. Let the editors work out their issues themselves. Dragging an admin into it is just creating bureaucracy. Also Gale...a one day old topic is never stale and yes, saying or doing what I can to limit the burden placed on Cassie and avoiding wikipediafying this place is always helpful. If anybody thought those were feature-worthy they would have nominated them by now. The fact that they haven't been suggests there is a considerable amount of effort that still needs to be put into them. Having written a small amount of Interstate 95 I would personally protest at that being nominated in it's current condition. If you put the required amount of effort into those articles, there is no doubt someone will eventually nominate them. Partial voting

I got a feeling partial voting is actually becoming really bad and is beginning to harm Uncyclopedia. Especially on VFH/VFP. It is starting to become disruptive as it causes weird VFH/VFP scores, it can hurt DPL (probably not, but), and overall just shows someone it's only semi good.

However, this is simpler said then done. First of all, if we were to do this (which may be dropped in the "everything" 3/27 forum), my sanctions would need to change. I can't have a max of -1.5 against votes when I can't do votes of -0.5 weight. In addition, my entire sanction page would have to be modified.

If you think about it, you can't do partial votes in an election, so I am starting to think it should be banned. Btw for other forum ideas they include

1. Huffing all interstates minus Interstate and Interstate 95
2. ECP'ing all FAs
3. Making UN:XNR a policy
4. Including autopatrolled in ECP.

Personally I'd abstain. JJPMaster is definitely a "shining light" when it comes to proficiency with MediaWiki, but... granting adminship after 3 months is very risky. 1. 3 were unblocks. One was a serious unblock and two were joke unblocks.
2. 2 were completely serious. One was by Zombiebaron [2], and one was by Leverage [3]. The one from Zombie resulted in an unblock ~45 minutes later, whilst the one from Leverage resulted in just a commution to a day.
3. 2 were "jokeblocks", but reflected either warnings or sanctions
4. Two were via the abuse filter for linking to 17ebooks. One resulted in a commution to a second, one resulted in an unblock.

No Gale. You are hijacking the forum which I created to deal with one issue but you are turning into another. Basically you are creating a forum without having to create a forum (which you do not have permission to do at the moment). Once again you are trying to get around your sanctions. Changing how a VFS works is an extremely contentious topic here (which led to an enormous amount of drama which I must admit I played a not too admirable role in). If this is brought up again in the future it should not be done a week before a VFS. On top of all of that Cassie asked you not to get bonked up in an argument and opening up the rules of VFS will definitely make that happen. Can I create the "everything" forum

So I broke my ideas into 2 categories. This is the everything forum we agreed to do around now.

The first category is things relatively uncontreversal and likely to pass

1. FAs are ECP'ed
2. Huffing most interstate articles, if not all.
3. Making UN:XNR a policy.

This is things pretty contreversal.

1. Requiring consensus over pure voting.
2. Having stale VFHs and a minimum closing time(3-5 days)before passing a VFH
3. Making sanctions a community involved process, rather then having just 1 or 2 admins patrol it. Kinda like Wikipedia.

Cassie I think the FA being ECP'd doesn't require a forum but just an admin to implement it or not. It is not of a level that requires community input (I think its a fairly logical idea if someone is willing to do all of the work). Huffing interstate doesn't require a forum either, someone can just nominate them all one by one over time if they care that much. As for JP's suggestions, I don't any of them but the last one require a forum and can simply be implemented by you as an admin (and if another admin has a problem with it they will let you know which they almost certainly wouldn't). God damn this is kinda scattered. I'll try to address everything as concisely as possible. I'm not sure if a forum is really necessary.

1. ECPing FAs, kinda against it.
2. Huffing most interstates, fine go ahead, I still think it's better to VFD articles individually, but whatever.
3. XNR does not need to be a policy. Gale5050 simply states that ignoring it is bad with zero justification. If a redirect is bad, it can be huffed. We don't have the volume of this issue that Wikipedia does. We don't need a formal policy for every little thing.
4. On Wikipedia, consensus is poorly defined and absurdly poorly used. It would be a very bad idea here.
5. We don't need to define how long a VFH needs to go. The system is working fine (as we've been over countless times already). Having a minimum time of anything over 72 hours would be a terrible idea.
6. Sanctions are something that do not get used very often here, unlike Wikipedia. We do not need to change this. Gale5050, I'd like to remind you that if we used community consensus for your case, you would have been blocked, not just sanctioned.
7. I don't think autopatrol for ECP is a good idea, but it's not terrible either. I mark good edits as patrolled, but I don't even look for the red ! when I scroll through recent changes.
8. JJP's techno stuff looks good to me.

Gale you have been attempting to wikipediafy and beaurocratise this place for some months now. You are taking a loaded term that comes from "wikipedia" which includes the baggage of wikipedia policies and using it here as though that is how we do things. It is not. If we have an important policy to be made it is passed by a simple vote (if a vote is necessary) which is not consensus. No weight is given to the more convincing or passionate arguments. If there are conflicts on an article the editors work things out (virtually never by vote) and if it gets out of hand an admin comes and sorts it out. I agree discussing things does happen and can be useful but in virtually no cases does consensus come into play but majority rules, admin just doing what needs to be done or editors just working stuff out. You have previously tried to claim there is a consensus over doing minor things when it is actually up to an admin to decide or editors to work out. But this is the thing that is not being understood - voting =! discussion. I see in some cases it can spawn an argument but...generally it's more needed. I'll throw an example - at VFS with Roza. A big reason why it failed was she was ineligible, no reason was really given to vote for. But it had more support in the 1st round but not the 2nd. One statement can change many people's opinions. Sometimes, everyone is forgetting something, and you don't. If we try to avoid being like Wikipedia, we will inadvertently fail as a Wiki. That's what's not being understood.

But anyway... going with the simple majority vote (50% + 1) for many simple cases, such as VFD, going with 50% + 5 for VFH (as it currently is), and maybe going with a supermajority (66.67%) for extremely controversial stuff should be enough. We do not need this mythical concept called "consensus"; requiring consensus would make Uncyclopedia so bureaucratic that it would stink of Wikipedia. Additionally, we do not have nearly enough active users to be able to implement a more consensus-based system. It would be tough for me to implement such a filter, but I could make a more "behavioral" filter that detects their behavior (notably blanking 1000+ bytes to implement a redirect). The user has been added to UN:LSD. I wouldn't usually do so with only 6 socks, but granted how this user has also socked on the French Uncyclopedia, this is an extremely severe instance. Gale's sanctions

Hi Cassie, Gale has broken his sanctions at least six times today putting content on at least six user's talk pages which don't deal specifically with an article he wrote 51% of or relating to a VFH he wrote 51% of. This includes bugging me about a vote on VFH he doesn't agree with. I honestly prefer to be able to make my VFH in peace without being second guessed on my talk page about it (unless the user is seeking constructive criticism which in this case doesn't count because he didn't even write it). He has also posted on three new user's pages which his sanctions definitely don't permit including a strange improvised welcome message (semi-helpful but not the standard message nor the best way imo to welcome users), a constructive but not permitted interaction over a single sentence edit and a spambot template (not a problem but again not permitted). I don't believe he is ready to start interacting with new users on their talk pages especially doing things his sanctions clearly don't allow. ShabiDOO 22:40, 28 March 2021 (UTC)

Actually, on second detection, I am not sure. However, no harm intended if I did, I didn't see that, it was relatively harmless, so at most a warning should come out of it, and possibly a teeny-tiny extension (like 3 days max) and no blocks. It is way to ambigious, especially as the two seem redudant. I'm not sure a block is needed either but I think it should be made very clear that Gale should not be challenging users on the VFH/VFP votes (this is hardly the first time), writing on new user's pages (clearly against his sanctions) or putting any templates on any user's talk pages (also clearly against his sanctions). Good intentions no doubt, but at the moment simply too open to unintended consequences. Perhaps a reminder here would help? ShabiDOO 23:49, 28 March 2021 (UTC)
