- No, I read the article. I just forgot to pack a fucking marlin spike and sailing manual to untangle the dense Gordian knot of color related puns in order to extract the profound wisdom allegedly in the middle. 30 years ago it was very taboo to use the "N" word. Wrong! You've obviously never seen such movies as "The 6000 Dollar Nigger" (1979), "Boss Nigger" (1975) and "Legend of Nigger Charlie" (1972) or its sequel "The Soul of Nigger Charlie" (1973). These are real movies, you can look them up on IMDB. Even well know movies such as "Blazing Saddles" (1974) and "The Shining" (1980) had little problem with that word. Fluctuations in the word "nigger"'s usage or popularity are hardly indicative of and certainly not a cause of changes in overall racism in a culture.
