The fix tags (or what they have become gratis Skullthumper/Lyrithya) are a really ugly thing... they intrinsically favour soft contributers and admins in their critique of other peoples work and essentially place the actual contributer/writer at their behest.     • I may be new here, but I see that as your perspective. I'm looking at the articles to fix as a huge opportunity. There are just over 500 articles tagged like this. Some tags are less effort to fix than others. I'm currently going through about 5 or so of these a day and cleaning them up a bit and getting them back out there - but actually making them quality. Some of the articles are well beyond redemption - Yosemite Sam as a case in point. Isn't it better to allow those who have the capacity to fix them an opportunity of minimum 30 days to fix them?     Apologies Craw1, we obviously didn't realise you were working on it. I would advise you read our featured articles for some good examples of what passes for humour around here. You need more pictures and more coherent jokes, if possible. The main problem with this article in particular is that it is a non-existent subject which uses random humour, so as a reader it is difficult to care about anything the article is saying. You should ask yourself; why would someone want to read this? You have to keep them interested.   • I should make this clear - the way this is set up works on monobook, but not very well (the size is wrong) and it doesn't work on Vector at all (except that it can put an ugly background behind part of the nav menu). This could probably be worked on to be able to change the background on vector skin with no major issue. To get this to work properly on both vector and monobook would take a lot more effort including screwing with the current skin (css and js files) - more than it's worth for the handful of pages currently using it. That, and the fact that we probably shouldn't have people able to play with the nav menu to the point where you could create a nav menu that looks fine but takes you to Conservapedia.
