Five Nights at Freddy's, also known as FNaF, is a game series made by Scott Cawthon, the game developer known for other popular games such as HuniePop. The story arcs typically follow a night guard or other character trying to survive from midnight to 6 a.m. for five levels, called "nights", while fending off attacks from homicidal animatronic characters.
Every game plot is basically the same. Evil robots kill you.
The series has several iconic characters, notably Toy Chica (a prostitute inspiring thousands of artworks from brilliant minds), Freddy Fazbear (a homosexual animatronic bear), and Garvey (a child rapist who serves as the main antagonist).
Gameplay[edit | edit source]
In the first games of the franchise, the gameplay typically involves managing your limited power when using tools at your disposal to protect yourself from the various cast of Chuck-E Cheese rejects. Though differing from game to game, your tools include a camera device in which you can catch the animatronics teleporting in real-time, as well as factory-esque steel doors that inexplicably require power to stay closed rather than open. Seems easy enough, no? The main struggle is resisting the urge to let Chica in your office for some action. In spite of the blatant danger in taking up such a nightguard job in comparison to the middling pay, for whatever reason, you keep coming back. Theorists will have you know that this is because the nightguard you play as has a connection to the establishment, or such other contrived nonsense; however, the true reason is because you, the player keep coming back. I mean really, no one's telling you to play the four other nights, are they? But even then, despite the game's title of Five Nights, the games never consist of just five nights. Mr. Cawthon got a little cheeky and threw in some more nights, but Seven Nights at Freddy's just doesn't roll off the tongue quite as nicely.

Cultural impact[edit | edit source]
Five Nights at Freddy's is most famous for single-handedly giving MatPat a career. It has also been at the lead of the "mascot horror" genre, and inspired countless quality baby's first horror games.
Movie adaptations[edit | edit source]
Five Nights at Freddy's was adapted into a feature film, directed by and starring MatPat. It has raised controversy due to the 10-hour-long sex scene between Freddy Fazbear and famous streamer Markiplier.
The second game, Five Nights at Freddy's 2, would have had a movie adaptation as well, but filming was cancelled due to threats on the movie studio by organizations against clanker-human relationships. A sex scene between Markiplier and Chica was planned to play a crucial role in the plot, leading to the bomb threats by these organizations.
Fan content[edit | edit source]
Five Nights at Freddy's has a lot of fans; so many that you couldn't fit them in the Pizzaplex. These fans have created amazing fan games, like Five Nights at Freddy's 3 and Five Nights at Candy's. The fans sometimes also make amazing songs[2] and very horny artwork. They know you like it.
The Story of the Game[edit | edit source]
Part I: Early Life[edit | edit source]
In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth, and William Afton. William Afton created Fredbear’s Family Diner. A place where fantasy and fun come to life. It featured two robot animals, Fredbear, and Spring bonnie. William’s new friend, Henry, decided it would be a brilliant idea to make the animatronics into mech suits that kill the wearer. Great job Henry. Despite this (and the terrible pizza), the business did quite well. They even added more characters to the cast: first they made Freddy Fazbear to appeal to black people due to their similar color. Next there was Bonnie, he played a guitar. Chica was a stripper, and Lastly there was Foxy, the Pirate fox. Foxy was dismantled by the police for actually committing piracy.
part II: The Bite of '87[edit | edit source]
In the early 80s, William’s son, commonly known as Crying Child (sometimes known as Clyde) was homosexual for Fredbear. He didn’t want to come out to his homophobic father, so he gave Fredbear a kiss in secret. Fredbear, as it turns out, is super homophobic. He bit the Crying Child’s head off. The Fredbear’s location was condemned and the newer animatronics had to move out of it. William framed his other son Michael for the death and built robots to execute him with “illusion disks” that made them look scarier. Meanwhile, William Afton Killed six or seven children, who he stuffed into the robots. One of these kids was Charles, the daughter of Henry Emily. His daughter’s ghost possessed the puppet, who gave gifts and gave life. The animatronics started to move on their own! William was so terrified of them, he built a giant bunker and made even more killer mechs for children. One of them killed his daughter. After that he had to close the bunker because of a gas leak. He had caught super cancer. With his last breaths he beat up the robots with the kids he had killed. The ghosts chased William, who hid in his fursuit. He got trapped by the springs in his fursuit and died.
Part III: Die in a Fire[edit | edit source]
In 2023 William's son, Michael found a job at a new FNaF attraction at Universal Studios Florida. It was a horror attraction which was great. It featured a real animatronic… but could it be? William Afton… in his rotting fursuit. Michael immediately lit the building on fire. But William always comes back. Michael was making a new pizzeria, when William showed up. He had attempted a Jimmy Neutron cosplay, but Michael didn’t like it. He luckily didn’t need to light the building on fire, because William’s old friend Henry did before him. In the end they died and nothing happened after that.
and they all lived happily ever after. The End
