That's pretty much what Orian is about, is first person narratives. (Not saying don't vote against if you don't like it, just saying for the sake of saying.) Sir SysRq (talk) 22:45, 21 April 2009 (UTC)

  • abstain as per necropaxx, but less so. SirGerrycheeversGunTalk 19:36, 21 April 2009 (UTC)
  • Abstain. As per the above things as well, plus I think would function better as an UnBook. The question that an article in the "Why?:" namespace implies is never ansewered. We're never really given a reason why we should get a job.Sir Guildensternenstein 19:23, 26 April 2009 (UTC)
But you're not asking Why SHOULD you get a job, instead someone is asking why DON'T you get a job. I do agree that it'd work well as an UnBook, though. --MegaPleb Dexter111344 Complain here 19:26, 26 April 2009 (UTC)
I don't want to sound confrontational or anything but I don't see how it could function better depending on what it's called. I write best with first person narratives, and with Why?:'s I (generally) pose the question and then show the reader the answer through the protagonists actions (in this case the answer is "because I'm a work-shy, freeloading cunt."). Similar thing with neurotic, I showed the reader what neurosis was like, in a funny way. I stress funny because I though that's what this site is about, not conforming to namespace norms. Besides it's my understanding that Why? and HowTo are extentions of UnBooks anyway. ~Orian57~ Icons-flag-gb.png ~Talk~ Gay sign.png 19:50 26 April 2009
Hey, I just said it would also work well as an UnBook, not that it should be. Don't make me rape you. --MegaPleb Dexter111344 Complain here 19:54, 26 April 2009 (UTC)
It wasn't you personally, it's just lots of people say that "it should be an unbook" and I don't get what the big deal is. Though if you wan't, you can rape me anyway. With whips and chains if you're into that kinda thing. ~Orian57~ Icons-flag-gb.png ~Talk~ Gay sign.png 20:00 26 April 2009
Hey, I do first-person type stuff, too. Anyway, does this rag smell like chloroform to you? --MegaPleb Dexter111344 Complain here 20:02, 26 April 2009 (UTC)
    Good line that, I'll probably steal it if I ever get into date-raping. :D ~Orian57~ Icons-flag-gb.png ~Talk~ Gay sign.png 20:10 26 April 2009
A lot of people are saying that because it should be an UnBook. I mean, if I were to write a novel about a characer who through his daily actions learns about, say, some dude's quest for vodka, I wouldn't publish it as "A Guide to Finding Vodka" and say it was an instructional piece of literature, because it wouldn't be. Something more along the lines of "Quest for Vodka: a Novel" would be appropriate, because it's a fictional story the deals with that quest, not a guide telling you How or Why you should do said thing. So yeah. —Sir Guildensternenstein 16:07, 2 May 2009 (UTC)
Semantics < Funny. -OptyC Sucks! Icons-flag-us.png CUN16:15, 2 May
Indeed. I would probably vote for if this were an UnBook. —Sir Guildensternenstein 18:38, 2 May 2009 (UTC)
Yes, maybe you're right (I really don't think you are), but take for example the movie "How to Loose a Guy in Ten Days". It's a story, not a manual. Titles are there to get a reader (or viewer) interested not to expose exactly what the novel (or movie, or TV series) is about. I geuss it's more of an opinion thing but I really prefer reading a book and finding that my initial conceptions are wrong -- it automatically makes it more interesting to read. So I would just rather you judged by the entertainment value of the article than it's title. Like Opty implied, semantics are silly things to get worked up about. ~Orian57~ Icons-flag-gb.png ~Talk~ Gay sign.png 20:23 2 May 2009
