(Or: Audio Request)
Enhance your article and bring it to life adding sound to it! Never before, have your silly words, maniacal ranting, sick imagination, sounded so good using someone else's voice. Why not ask for someone talented to do so?
So many options, and so little time: You can have it in an eloquent English accent, have some sophisticated sound effects, have it Americanized, make it sound like your Jewish mother is reading it out loud have some zealot Christians chant it out loud, break your teeth with an Australian accent...you can have it all!
The idea of this page is that it is for original recordings made for specific articles. Post your request here or you can try and get some ideas here. Wishing to prepare one yourself? That's easy! Read all about it here.
Looking for someone to sing it for you? Then you better check this one. You can also enhance your article with pictures here.
Good luck!

Meta-request: particular styles of reader?[edit source]
I need to do more audios myself (the GF has a nice SM-58 now ;-). But sometimes you write something and know a particular style would suit it. And some of our readers are good at particular things. e.g. Zim for the laconic American near-monotone, Flyingfeline for the posh English female newsreader, NeoZidane for the cheese-eating French accent. Could be brilliant - similar style to UnTunes:I Like Cats (The Other White Meat), but spoken rather than sung, obviously. I'd do it, but I can't get the accent. :) -- 15:25, 3 February 2007 (UTC)

- Well, the article's written in the same kind of accent that Todd did for I Like Cats, so I was thinking similar to that. -- 22:29, 3 February 2007 (UTC)
- Oh my god, that was really good! I didn't even know somebody made audio for this until I checked the "what links here" page for the hell of it. I'm gonna put it right on the article page. Comrades! This member of October Revolution is to ask for sound of Soviet Russian narrating on page. Link is list above to page for reading. Accent of speaking must be great like Russian bear, but is friendly too like Russian bear! --Sir Modusoperandi Boinc! 05:54, 28 February 2007 (UTC)

- /me looks at clock. Wow, two hours to record nine minutes of audio... Is there a secret to uploaded files of enormous size? 9 minutes of mp3 works out to 8.5Mb and the "upload file" just ponders for a while, then goes back to the initial screen with nothing filled in. I broke it into two files and it uploaded fine...I hope that's okay. Also, I'm speaking normally again. Hurrah! --Sir Modusoperandi Boinc! 08:32, 28 February 2007 (UTC)

I'm on it -- 04:12, 3 March 2007 (UTC)On second thought, I can't do this, it's too hard to do too many roles at the same time. I may try again later, but I don't have any promises...
- The way I see it, <takes of glasses, stares intently into camera> unless someone can do a bunch of voices, we need more than one person to record the audio;
- Teacher
- Shandy
- Dexter
- Ann
- Albert
- Brandon S. Sinclair
- Carolyn Robertson
- Irwin Cohen
- Kelly Douglas
- Linda Smith
- Patrick Forsyth
- Text
- *Note that several characters only have a small number of lines.*
- If we can get volunteers for each (pick more than one if you can do more than one voice) and I'll try to mix them together (or I'll half-ass the job before giving up and pushing it on Mordillo). Sound like a plan? I'd plan more in detail (formats, uniforms, state holidays, pogroms and whatnot), but I'd like to wait and see what the, ahem, collective thinks before I dig in.--Sir Modusoperandi Boinc! 04:55, 3 March 2007 (UTC)
- I volunteer for the job. As Im a girl, I can easily make myself sound like a child. I don't mind making more than one voice either, I think I'm able to change my tone just for it.--DAME :: FoxyBabe :: TALK 14:53, 3 March 2007 (UTC)

Good Burger[edit source]
I am thinking it should be performed in the style of a film historian, like Robert Osborn from Turner Classic Movies (see [1]) and play it deadpan, even on the funny parts. The background music should be something sophisticated like Beethoven's "Moonlight Sonata" (see [2]). The accent should be American, and should be spoken clearly. I want Good Burger to sound like the Greatest Movie Ever Made. Thanks in advance. PF4Eva, the President of Imagination Vote for me My tax returns 00:11, 2 April 2007 (UTC)
- Oh, I forgot. The quotes should be performed in character, so you'll need to do some dead-on impressions: Clint Eastwood, Charles Bronson (see [3] and also [4] has a lot of Charles Bronson spoofs you could study), Donald Pleasence (Study up with [5]), Charles Cyphers ([6]), and John Wayne ([7], Yogi Bear - [8]). The Kenan and Kel impressions aren't required or anything. I will be revising the article, so don't start recording until I say it's okay. Thanks! Special Notice[edit source]
I'm afraid that I will not be able to record audio segments for articles for an indeterminable amount of time. My computer crapped out on me, and I am reduced to using my mother's computer. My mother will likely become agitated if I record articles in her presence, so it is unfortunate to report that I will be unable to record audio segments at the moment. If you want an article recorded, please contact one of my associates, whether it be UNKNOWNFILE, Mordillo, or Modusoperandi. Thank you for your time. -- 01:52, 19 April 2007 (UTC)

Audio for this would be greatly appreciated, as I have neither the skill nor resources to do so myself. Basically, just sound very grave and appalled, as if something actually happened. 02:35, 2 May 2007 (UTC)
