That gallery thingy[edit source]

Ok, so I made a lua module for custom galleries. It spits out a <ul> with the style attribute display: inline-block. This makes it spill across the page for as many columns as it can. (You can change this with {{#css}}.) Other than the code that makes it flow (and a default text-size I can take out later), there're no built-in styles to bite you in the ass, so customizing it should be a breeze. See the example below. Judgery and stuff[edit source]

Hi...I can't get anyone to be the third judge. My friend Sarah (who often helps me judge the happy monkey competition) has offered to help. I could put a copy of the four articles in my user space and then have her review them all anonymously (she'd have no idea who wrote what) and then add her results to the tally. Hey, thanks! You just reminded me of a few more templates I need to fix. There seems to be an issue with the mobile style sheet across the website. It forces a 10px margin on the top and bottom of every table. Unfortunately this can't be undone with local styles unless you use the '!important' tag. This is going to cause a lot of unnecessary code that has to be input manually onto almost every user box template and a lot of navigational templates. I know it's a relatively simple fix for perhaps a bureaucrat, or maybe Chronarion himself. Any ideas? ~Formerly Annoying Crap 19:55, 18 March 2021

User rights granted (And more)[edit source]

Hi Zana,

I've granted you the thumbsucker user right for the next sometime; as such, if it happens that one of the portals you are working on has been deleted, you can recreate it by copying the deleted page's contents. I'm basically 100% sure that you'll pass VFS, so I don't really see a need to grant it to you for longer!

Anyways... I was thinking, do you think you would be able to revive UnNews and UnNews Audio someday? UnNews hasn't felt fresh in quite some time, and UnNews Audio been deceased for quite some time ( being solely fed by PF4Eva )... I think that attempting to engineer an Uncyclopedian Renaissance would be a wonderful idea. Please let me know whatcha think!

Extremely random question incoming...[edit source]

Hi Zana,

I've got one extremely simple question to ask you. If you could unilaterally wipe one article of your choice here out of existence on Uncyclopedia, which one would it be?

Also, I've noticed some of the comments on VFS, and honestly, it's extremely difficult for me to contextualize things, so personally I think that granting you interface admin (including the right to edit full-protected pages) would be sufficient for the moment being, although I am open to the possibility of having you as a full-on sysop instead. Do you think you would need to have the ability to delete and restore pages in order to be able to contribute at your full potential? If yes, I could fold that into Forum:Interface_operator_reform and see if that is sufficient or no.

Hey, occasionally when I hit the 'random article' link in the menu I come across some pretty terrible stuff. In general, I don't necessarily believe in deleting pages, I prefer to move them into userspace, if possible, and gently coach users instead of banning them. As a creative manager and information architect in the industry, I have an astute understanding of the psychology behind 'noobiness.' What I would really like to do is of course edit protected pages, but deletion is very important when I find random sub-pages, stubs, and I'm working on simplifying templates - which often involves combining pages and thus leaving an unnecessary page or three or four. Some of my own pages are locked and I cannot edit them. My prior hectic schedule and lack of patience was probably the culprit for most of the concern mentioned on VFS. I believe I was voted uncyclopedian of the decade 2005-2015, which was a thrilling achievement, and much appreciated. I'm sure Zombiebaron deserved at least an honorable mention but he does not have tits. Now that I am retired in my career, I have more time to dedicate to Uncyclopedic endeavors. The main page could have columns like before, whatever code is missing I can make it look like Wikipedia again. I appreciate your support, I do miss writing and would like to contribute more often. I just finished a couple of rewrites in addition to the new Technology and Culinary portals I've been working on.
