  1. Symbol for vote.svg Isn't it about time for this to be featured? It's a guidebook, a full article, and it's a funny article well populated with funny pics. Nomming and featuring this will result in more of us reading it and sharing this great data with our readers, many of whom will probably appreciate it. At least the smarter ones. 3. For. I've never been completely satisfied with it, but I think the majority of the problems that I have run across in writing it I've kind of abandoned trying to solve. I still like it and hey, it was nommed best article of all time, so it can't be too bad. User:Mrthejazz/sig 03:45, June 5, 2011 (UTC)

  14. For. Not overly familiar with Famine's work, and enjoyed this as a piece on it's own. (Actually reminded me of TKF more than anyone else, but maybe that's just me). Pup 03:42 11 Jun '11 15:42, June 11, 2011 (UTC)

  3. Symbol declined.svg Against. This article just doesn't work for me (no pun intended). When I first read it, I didn't know that it was supposed to be a parody of User:Famine/Do some work, and I just didn't make sense to me. This is a bad sign, because I think a parody should always be able to stand by itself, and this article doesn't. I think the problem is that there are two different approaches to this article. The first one is the reversal of "do some work" to "don't some work" (obviously). The second is making fun of what Famine describes as "work" by making it sound like some half-assed Wikipedia-reading is being perceived as intense and laborious work, or by implying that this "work" doesn't really improve the article (or at least, that's how I understand it). But these two approaches just don't go together, or at least, I think that this is why this article doesn't work for me. And also, what's with the ending? There you suddenly tell people to do some work? Why is that? Schamschi, 21:52, June 5, 2011 (UTC)

  5. Against. Yea... I read this last night and liked it, but did not vote. Put some effort into deciding how to vote on this one but it's a no from me. If you don't know who Famine was this is not good enough to feature IMO. MrN MrN9000SouthParksmall.jpg 18:38, Jun 7

  7. Symbol declined.svg Against. It's actually pretty funny, but outsiders won't exactly know what you're parodying, making this a bit too in-joky for featuring. Scofield & Friends 06:08, June 20, 2011 (UTC)

  9. Symbol declined.svg Against. Yeah it's a good parody of the classic, but should we really feature a parody of something that exists only in userspace? Only those who were around for the original are likely to know what this is all about; and considering how Famine himself is gone, how many other active users do we have from back then? This site evolves at such a rate that people walk out and leave because they don't wish to see a change. I was here for all this, but I was a reader back then. I only became active here a few months ago when I saw how Uncyc had matured. The past may be part of our history, but perhaps that's where it really belongs. Sorry, but I don't see its usefulness on the front page today. -- Tinypony.gif Sir "TheSlyPony" Invariably certifiable. Rap sheet. • Comment. Famine cruft?? That's a new one on me, haha. Sycamore, You're just saying that because I wrote this article in response to a VFH where you posted the link to "Do some work" as a way of dismissing the VFH in question. :) By the way, did you know that's what inspired me to write this? I have you to thank man. User:Mrthejazz/sig 20:04, June 5, 2011 (UTC)
What's Famine-cruft? I'm in the dark on this. But it's usually dark down here in mum's basement. Aleister 20:24 5-6-'11

  • Comment. Yeah Schamschi. You're 100% correct on your criticism. Lyrithya skewered that too when she reviewed it way back when. When I mentioned the problems that I abandoned trying to solve, that was precisely the one. After a certain point, neither angle took me all the way there, although it was fun. Frankly, I was too lazy to get off my ass and finish it. User:Mrthejazz/sig 02:54, June 6, 2011 (UTC)
Well, you certainly seem to follow your own advice. Schamschi, 14:56, June 6, 2011 (UTC)
  • Comment. Romartus, could you explain what you mean by MeTube? Do you mean vanity, or what exactly? User:Mrthejazz/sig 15:19, June 12, 2011 (UTC)
Yes, and exhibiting Uncyclopedia's navel in a public place without removing the fluff first.--Laurels.gifRomArtus*Imperator ® (Orate) 22:15, June 13, 2011 (UTC)
Oh Romartus. You so funny. User:Mrthejazz/sig 05:17, June 14, 2011 (UTC)
