Cannot register with my username!

Random generator doesn't differ so much

Momentary Site Disappearance

It only lasted about five minutes at 17:18 GMT +1, but the whole site just upped and left the intarweb without a by-your-leave. This might be a one off technical clitch at either end (mine or yours) but if it happens again or keeps happening (without it being traced to my end), you may have a server issue (bug) lurking in an unwanted corner that needs squishing, squashing and defenestrating...

I'm Having a Battle with Another Uncyclopedia User

The Mark David Chapman page. Only two people have ever edited that page. One is me. The other is...another person. We keep changing the page back and forth and back and forth and back and forth the same way again and again. He's getting into my head. He's ruining me. I'm losing touch with my family. I'm getting to drinking again. Anyway, I don't know if this qualifies as a problem someone can help me with. Dude... Use the edit summaries and talk pages to communicate with people! Leave the user a message on their talk page, or perhaps the talk page of the article, then refer them to the talk page when you revert them. Come to a compromise... Problem with image

Options are missing

I believe other members have noticed and complained about the options on top of the edit box are not there (bold, italics, image upload, external links, etc.). I would like to know when they will come back. I hope they do. Please someone fix this. Just89 23:12, 15 January 2009 (UTC)

Penis on Screen

If you find that there is a large penis on your screen and it won't go away no matter how many times you press alt+f4 or use Ctrl+Alt+Delete, don't panic. This is normal. In most cases it is not neccesary to notify Uncylopedia staff as most penises are just lost and will make their way off your screen within five minutes. That is off the site. "Uncyclomedia" is a stalled out project to form a union between the various language uncyclopedias. You'll need to talk to the admins over there about it. I have no solution, although I haven't come across the issue myself. I haven't updated Safari for a while though. Random musing: each browser interprets HTML differently so I'm thinking it's a browser issue that can only be "fixed" by changing the HTML for the wiki overall, which I'm guessing is a wikipedia issue, which I would also guess as it doesn't effect Wikipedia proper it's not a priority. This is more of a pleed than a problem. But there i don't know where else to put this so i just chose here.

When working on articles, i somethimes may spend an hour on one page. Now i don't know if this happens to anyone else, but sometimes when i am scrolling up and down the page i tend to accidently press the Beginners Guide or HTBFANJS links. Thus loosing all the work i just did. This is one of those moments where you feel as if you want to shoot yourself. Now i have 3 ideas to help this from happining.

1. You move those links down, just a tad, maybe under the summery or something, so this is less likely to occur.

2. You make it so if you do happen to press that button, when you go back a page, you progress ins't lost, it just isn't saved yet.

3. You have a pop-up saying "are you sure you wish to leave this page without saving the work you just did, or something like that.

I just worked about 45 minutes on a page non-stop because ideas just keep popping into my head, and right before i save i click the Beginer's Guide button, and boom all my work is gone.

An interesting problem. I never hit that myself, but the problem seems to occur when you want to write something in the summary box? And miss it with your mouse? Just went from Occam's Razor to the Italian version of it - just for giggles - and then went from Italian back here, but it took me to a create page for the article. I don't know how to creat an article

I can't get to a place where I can create an article on this site. I assumed there would be a place on this site that would let me do that. I'm not banned, I don't even have an account.

Hello anonymous IP. The way to create an article is a complex and involved process. What you need to do is search for the title of the article you wish to create, and click "Go". If there isn't an article already by this name then it will come up with a screen that will tell you that, and ask "Would you like to create this?" (Yes, for some reason it can't spell creat properly.)

When you click on that link it will take you to a blank article. What generally happens then is that you create an article without reading How to be funny and not just stupid and you write an article that will have the survival expectations of a lame antelope in a pride of lions. This will then be deleted and you will feel like nobody understands your special blend of humour and can't appreciate the finer points of what is so funny about chuck norris having buttsecks with your teacher. You will feel rejected and leave the site with feelings of despondancy. Then you will remember this and think to yourself "if only I had read htbfanjs and created an account that might have lasted a little longer, and maybe the community of uncyclopedia would have supported me in my early attempts to write a great article." Two passwords?!

I've been trying to create an account on Uncyclopedia, but whenever I click the "create account button" it tells me that I have two different passwords. Even when I copied the top one and pasted it back in. On other occasions it tells me I'm a hacker, and that I must go back and try again. I find this deeply offensive as I expect total obedience from my computer. If the problem isn't solved soon I shall have to bash my head against its keyboard. And no, I don't know how to get this off the title page. Sorry. I'll make sure to smash the monitor when this problem is solved. Err... after repeatedly bashing the enter key it worked, I'm gonna leave this up just in case you want to prevent this from happening again. Please don't judge me for breaking stuff. Oh, and you owe me a new monitor and keyboard.

The problem is effecting everyone, you can log in by clicking on where it says log in, it doesn't look like a link, but should transfer you to a log in screen. Nope. And when I try to log in by using the "Create an account" button it won't accept my user name, says it doesn't exist. Do you know if this is a permanent change? I can create a new user name tomorrow.

Alright, here's what happens to me. First I get to this screen

Click the "log in" text, even though it doesn't look like a link.

Then I click on the text (doesn't even appear to be a hyperlink, but somehow it works) and I get this

Try the log in button, and click the "log in again" link if you are redirected to the "You have logged out" page.

First, even if this worked, making it harder to log in doesn't seem to me to be an improvement (let a login look like a login, like it used to).

Second, it doesn't always work. I tried signing in three times with the latest version of IE, and couldn't login. I switched to Firefox, and had problems. I tried Firefox in safe mode, and logged in the first time. But then I tried it again, and it took four times before it would log me in. Could somebody fix it, please? I second all the comments here, I had to create two sockpuppets to get on, and the only time I finally got on I have no idea how it occurred, but haven't wanted to log off in fear and trepidation I'd lose access again. Watchlist / Following Exposed to the World

I've been on vacation for a week or so, and came back. I found my watchlist was now part of my user page. I realize we're in an age where privacy is disappearing, but I DO NOT want the world seeing what I choose to look at. According to Under User, there's an option to turn this off. But could someone set Uncyclopedia so the default is that people's personal watchlist will not be displayed unless we decide to show it to everyone? I felt like one of those high school students who took a lap top computer home not knowing the administration had planted a webcam so they could spy on students at home.

Also I think it's confusing that now I have "my watchlist" but what I'm watching is no longer called "watching," it's called "following." Could this either be made "my following" and "following" (which seems confusing to me, but at least it's consistent) or, better yet, go back to "my watchlist" and "watching?" Thanks for listening. Yeah, this version just drops the bricks straight down instead of slightly speeding them up. I think it's just one of the many free versions you can get off the interwebs right??? I am dumb, not just funny

My buttons are disappearing

I just started an account and started editing right away. First few times, i had a button for adding pictures. A couple days later i played with the settings and went back to editing. It had vanished. I tried resetting all defaults and playing with more settings, but nothing worked. Then just now my add slideshow button disappeared. This might be a wikia problem, but i complain to you, you complain to them. Does anyone out there know how to fix this tragic problem? My pages are getting ugly and bland and i fear not even templates will save them. --Yitzaklr (also my preview button isnt working so i cant tell if thats a signature or just a few dashes)

Nationalism not Funny

As of this date user 'zullu"'s sole purpose for joining seems to me insulting Greeks (rather than poking fun at everyone-including people from his own country-my guess FYROM/ROM). Tricky question. Short answer is that without looking too deeply into it, it's not likely. We have a fairly lenient policy towards these types of things, and it would be unusual for content to be censored because it potentially offended. In fact, a large percentage of what makes up uncyclopedia is deliberately offensive material that someone else finds funny. However, if you feel that this is of a major concern you canreport the user in question to Ban Patrol UN:BP and the admins can look into it a little deeper, and add images to VFD for the community to vote in wether or not they have merit remaining on the site and go from there. Alternatively you can ask an active admin UN:AA to take up the flag for you. Of course, they may choose to do nothing, but it's an option. Longer answer after looking into it - extremely unlikely. My advice is to take it as a criticism and get over it. If you think suggesting that modern day Greeks are ancient hellenics who have time travelled is extremely offensive then you are too thin skinned.
