Boretal Kombat 1 (originally known as Boretal Kombat 12) is the 12th installment of the most controversial fighting game series of all time, Boretal Kombat. Well, it is the 12th installment in the series, but for some reasons, when the game was announced, it is known as Boretal Kombat 1 instead. It is another reboot of the game after Boretal Kombat 9, released twelve years prior to this game. While the game in consoles seems to be working very well, along with Steam,[1] the Nintendo Switch does not work well at all, until an update made it more playable. If you link your WBGames account to your Playstation, Xbox and/or Steam, you will get more rewards. However, that option wasn't added until 2024.[2]

Liu Kang, Scorpion and Sub-Zero gearing up to kill Shang Tsung

It follows Liu Kang as the fire god this time in which he creates his very own timeline after killing Kronika. In the new timeline, Liu Kang assembles a clique of fighters to participate in the Boretal Kombat tournament to kill Shang Tsung. In the follow up released in 2024, Order Falls, they have to kill Titan Havik. The game doesn't have a lot of microtransactions, but most of its choices to buy are dragon krystals, which are used to buy kosmetics, announcer voices and seasonal fatalities.[3]

Gameplay[edit | edit source]

Boretal Kombat 1 is the first game ever to have Kameos, which are basically partners who will help you kill your enemy. They have their own fatalities and brutalities (which are even harder to do than regular main kharacter brutalities), but not animalities yet. Some stages have variants. There is an Invasions game mode, but not much is known in the official wiki.[4] The game features even more dangerous Fatal Blows that can kill someone in real life which can be done only when the main kharacter has low health[5] and the Kameo is present – otherwise it functions like your average Boretal Kombat game.

Kharacters[edit | edit source]

Main Kharacters[edit | edit source]

Kitana[edit | edit source]

Not to be confused with katana, which, contrary to popular belief, she doesn't wield that sword in the game, but rather hand fans. She was Shao Kahn's daughter for a short period of time, but now she is the heir to the throne as Outworld's next empress. In the new era, she is Jerrod and Sindel's daughter. At one point Johnny Cage tried to rizz her up during a banquet, in which she rejected. She has also been called the "Mini-Mileena" by Cage as well. Her fatalities consist of her blending the loser to their guts with her fans and kissing the loser to the point of melting. Her animality is a hummingbird because of her fan blades.

Mileena[edit | edit source]

Main article: Mileena

Kitana's older sister. She used to be half-Edenian and half-Tarkatan. However, she is now fully Tarkatan in the new timeline. She is also the daughter of Sindel and Jerrod. If Sindel were to die (which her soul might've already been consumed by Ermac), Mileena would've replaced her mother. If you pit her against Sindel, Sindel will say that she will find a cure for Tarkat for her daughter. Her fatalities consist of her gnawing the loser's head[6] and cutting the loser's hips with her sais, then stabbing their head with both of them and throwing it. Her animality is a praying mantis because of her sais.

Tanya[edit | edit source]

Mileena's bestie. She is also bisexual to some extent. Tanya was raised by the Umgadis, so she never knew who her birth family was. If you picked Johnny Cage as the announcer voice, one of the nicknames he will refer to her as "Outworld's Next Top Matron", which she had already won that competition before. Her fatalities consist of using her staff to choke the loser and then ripping their head off and throwing her staff while the loser's body is being lifted. The camera shots make it as if it is an Olympic sport. Her animality is a giraffe due to her yellow color scheme.

Rain[edit | edit source]

The Edenian god that no one likes. This is because he had flooded multiple towns and needs to pay the price. At one point Li Mei threatened to bring him to the authorities (which never happened). His given nickname by Cage is "Water Wielder", which Rain dislikes. His fatalities consist of drowning the loser into a cylendrical water tube, spinning his staff and parting the dead body like Moses, and trapping the loser into a water trap before popping their head and crushing it with one of his feet. His animality is a pufferfish because they swim in water.

Smoke[edit | edit source]

A Czech orphan later adopted by Scorpion and the Lin Kuei. He is one of the most overpowered main kharacters in the game.[7] Smoke uses his karambit most of the time and doesn't really have a lot of smoke based attacks asides from teleporting. However, both of his fatalities involve smoke. One of his fatalities involves placing a smoke grenade into the loser's mouth while the other fatality slices the upper part of the loser's head whilst invisible and kicks it to the ground. Both his fatalities can be done anywhere, which is extremely easy if you know how to do it. For some reason, his animality isn't a skunk,[8] but rather a gorilla for some reason.

Scorpion[edit | edit source]

Main article: Scorpion

Scorpion comes back as Kuai Liang for the first time in the series.[9] He is considered by players to be the weakest version of Scorpion, especially when he flails his hands to create a wheel of fire. His fatalities consist of him using his kunais to impale the loser's eyes, then ripping off their head off while saying "come here", and another where he borrows Hanzo Hasashi's fatality from Ultimate Boretal Kombat 3 where Kuai Liang summons three versions of him from various timelines (instead of several) and kill the loser with various weapons, and then he will say "get over here". Scorpion's animality is an actual scorpion, like his namesake. Prior to that, Sheeva got that animality instead, which wouldn't make sense at all.[10]

Reptile[edit | edit source]

Otherwise known as Syzoth. All YouTubers who make fatality and animality showcase videos will always have him as the target as he is the only one who bleeds green blood.[11] His death groans are known to become a meme, especially when he goes like "ugahh hahaa". His fatalities always include him as a reptile.[12] The first fatality will consume the loser and them spit them back, and will look as if they have been drenched with acid. Reptile will later crush the loser with his reptilian hands. The second fatality uses his long tongue to choke the loser, chew on their head and then crush it. Neither of his animalities makes sense. In Ultimate Boretal Kombat 3, he would turn into a chimpanzee (which are not reptiles).[13] In this game, however, Reptile will turn into a Venus flytrap.[14] His "animality" will suck the loser with his tongue (in a similar way to his second fatality) and then crush the loser with its mouth.

Sub-Zero[edit | edit source]

Main article: SubZero

Bi-Han returns to this game as Sub-Zero. He is Kuai Liang's brother. He also betrayed his brother and the Lin Kuei. In Order Falls, he is turned into Noob Saibot, aka his even evil persona. For the first time in the series, Sub‑Zero uses weapons made out of ice. His fatalities involve killing the loser with an icicle, hitting their forehead while the other fatality makes him say the exact same Chinese phrase that Shang Tsung used in Boretal Kombat 9 and then smashes the loser into a mountain of ice. His animality is a mammoth because the developers liked the movie Ice Age.

Li Mei[edit | edit source]

Outworld's police girl. She fights using fireworks and lanterns. She has once tried to hold Rain hostage for what he has done to Sun Do. Her fatalities involve using the loser's intestines as a fuse, which is connected to their head as a firework, while the other fatality uses her fists to explode the torso of the loser and then summoning a dragon to eat up the loser's head. Her animality is a panda, which is very ironic since her fighting style is not kung fu. The Sexual Harassment Panda theme will play during her animality because of her role as a cop.

Kenshi[edit | edit source]

Johnny Cage's best friend ever since they met in his mansion. Kenshi's sword, Sento can summon the soul of his dead ancestor. He's been in almost every game since his debut. His fatalities consist of making the opponent float after breaking the loser's neck and drilling his sword into their mouth, and then slicing the opponent in half with Sento, while his other fatality blends his opponent to death in a similar way to Kitana's first fatality. His animality is a wolf, which could've been given to Nightwolf if Nightwolf were to come back.

Baraka[edit | edit source]

Not to be confused with the American president of the same name. He does, however, become the mayor of Tarkata without winning an election. His fatalities consist of impaling the loser's body with his arm blades and roasting the loser in a campfire while other Tarkatans feast on the loser's limbs. His animality is a porcupine because of the way his arm blades look. If you fight in the Tarkatan Colony and you choose Mileena as your opponent while playing as Baraka, you will gain an achievement that says "Betreyal".

Geras[edit | edit source]

His name is pronounced "gear-ass". Returning from Boretal Kombat 11, he is the keeper of the Hourglass. He was originally conceived by Kronika to be a bad guy, but has since then changed his ways. He has multiple moves that are named "Sandstorm", which also appears to be the name of his first fatality in which he holds the loser by the neck and then slicing their body in half with sand. The other fatality involves him using portals to rip the opponent's spine. In one glitch, if you do one of his brutalities, another clone of him walks through. His animality is a hippo which gobbles up the loser and eating them in a similar way that Reptile does in his animality (if it even is considered an animality at all).

Shang Tsung[edit | edit source]

If you select him while having Johnny Cage as the announcer voice, Cage will say that he hates Shang Tsung and will ask why you chose him. Literally no one likes Shang Tsung if you look at the interactions. He still exists in several timelines, including some where he is actually a good person. He is a pre-order kharacter, and if you didn't pre-order the game, you can still buy him with real money. His fatalities involve pouring a potion into the loser and making the loser melt, while the second fatality involves the loser being strapped into a table while a potion is being poured on their torso and a snake will pop out of it. His animality is obviously a snake, which returned from Ultimate Boretal Kombat 3 like Raiden's.

Shao Kahn[edit | edit source]

Is actually named General Shao in this game. He once had Kitana as his daughter. He technically has three fatalities. (He's the only kharacter in the game who has more than two.) The first fatality brings the loser to the sky while Shao spins the loser, screaming to their deaths and then becoming a skeleton. The second fatality is when he uses his axe to slice the loser in half. The third fatality, also known as the Christmas Fatality has the loser being stabbed by the winner with a candy cane[15] while he dresses up as Santa Claus and rides his sleigh to catch the loser's head. All these fatalities are considered to be death penalties in Outworld. His animality is a bear, which could've been given to Reiko.

Sindel[edit | edit source]

You thought Sindel was dead? This doesn't seem to be the case. She's died multiple times. She is the mother of Kitana and Mileena, and if you choose her while you The Great Hall is chosen, she won't appear in her throne.[16]Her fatalities involve using her hair to rip off the loser's arms and then doing a spine rip while asking the question "Who's your queen?", which the loser doesn't, so she rips off their head instead, while the other fatality involves her screaming so loud she breaks the sound barrier and popping out the loser's eyes. Her animality is a spider because spiders are very hairy, and Sindel has long hair herself. If the player has arachnophobia, the animation will not be played, in which a black screen will show instead, but will still be an animality though.

Reiko[edit | edit source]

Reiko doesn't usually use his spear unless you do his first fatality. Speaking of which, his first fatality uses his spear to slice off the limbs of the loser and then exposes the ribs of them. The second fatality involves him snapping the forearms of the loser which is almost similar to what Havik could've done. His animality is a ram, which could've been given to Shao Kahn because of the horns. If Shao Kahn and Reiko are both chosen as the kharacters in a battle (no matter what stage you choose), and both of them do animalities at the same time, Shao will win by default because the developers support the Chicago Bears.

Raiden[edit | edit source]

In this game, Raiden becomes a farmer raised in a village, however, he is still a thunder god regardless. His dark form could also be unlocked during his Invasions season, however, instead of blue lightning, he will spew out red lightning. There are forms of him that will spew white lightning instead. His fatalities involve creating a hole between the loser's body by zapping their torso and then smashing their body, while the other fatality involves him zapping the loser's entire body, then turning them into flesh and then turning them into a skeleton. Like Shang Tsung, his animality returns from Ultimate Boretal Kombat 3. He obviously turns into an electric eel which also wraps the loser around, zaps and then explodes their head.

Liu Kang[edit | edit source]

The fire god of the game. The game is the first one to include him on the cover of any Boretal Kombat game. Each timeline is at least governed by a version of this guy. In his fatal blow, he will brand the Boretal Kombat logo into the ground at the end, which can be very painful to the opponent. His fatalities involve him summoning dragons to capture the loser hostage, and then smashing their face while screaming, while the other fatality (which is considered to be the best by players) sucks the loser into a black hole while he is floating. While people thought he would turn into a dragon similar to the earlier games, he turns into a phoenix instead because of his role, in which he burns the loser, then comes back from the ashes.

Johnny Cage[edit | edit source]

Main article: Johnny Cage

He, along with Peacemaker, is responsible for including "swearing" into the game's 17+ rating. If you choose him as the announcer voice, he will give nicknames to all the kharacters, including Kameos, but not the stages like in Boretal Kombat 11. He has a hype meter instead of war cult powers (which is instead given to his female form, Janet Cage) to better fit his role as an actor. His fatalities involve using his phone to record a livestream, then smashing the loser in a plaque with their name on it, then takes a selfie in a similar way to Cassie Cage's fatality in Boretal Kombat X. The other fatality intentionally destroys his car by kicking the loser into the front windows, then using his car keys to smash the loser's upper half body, and then using his car keys to activate his car,[17] which then creates a Michael Bay‑esque explosion. A special song will play if he is being used by both players, having Janet Cage as the Kameos and having Cage Mansion as the chosen stage instead of the usual song played there. His animality is a shark because of the movie Jaws. He is also the only kharacter to not magically transform into their animal, in which he uses a costume instead.

There's also a skin for Cage where you could play as Jean-Claude Van Damme after thirty years of waiting, who, unlike Megan Fox, has better voice acting than her.

Kung Lao[edit | edit source]

Raiden's next door neighbor. Some of his moves don't use his hat, while others do. His fatalities involve him using his hat as a boomerang to slice off the arms of the loser, and then slicing the loser in half. The other fatality involves him carrying the loser and then slicing them in half with his hat. His animality is a tiger. The animality is similar to the way Chef from South Park was killed, except it doesn't involve mountain lions.

Ashrah[edit | edit source]

Despite having angel wings, she is still a demon. She could also be considered a nephilim in that case, but that's not confirmed. Ashrah has been the winner of Miss Netherrealm more times than others. Her fatalities involve stabbing the loser with blades and then burning the loser alive, while the other fatality creates a string of light in a similar way to Rain's second fatality, except the opponent is split into pieces. To cater to Bronies, Ashrah turns into an alicorn with the power of friendship and burning the loser with rainbows similar to her first fatality. Her cutie mark is supposedly similar to the wing emoji.

Nitara[edit | edit source]

Main article: Nitara

What could be worse than Rhonda Rousey's portrayal of Sonya Blade back in the previous game? Megan Fox, whose portrayal in this game sounds very boring. Making matters worse is that she has the least amount of health ever.[18] If Cristina Vee voiced her and Fox would be the model instead, that would be better. Although Fox was chosen because of her portrayal in vampire movies. Anyways, her fatalities involve ripping the loser while a swarm of bats fill the loser's body up, and then re-ripping the loser to release the bats, while the other fatality involves her using the loser's intestines whilst floating and then kicking their body, turning into a skeleton. Obviously, Nitara turns into a bat, which is hanging by a stand by the time the animality is over.

Havik[edit | edit source]

After you complete Story Mode, you can play as Havik. In Order Falls, he turns the world into a khaotic vibes version since it was considered ideal. Just like Shang Tsung, no one likes him if you look at the interactions. In one of his fatalities, he explodes the normal heart of the loser and replaces the normal heart with a rotting heart. The other fatality is similar to Reiko's second fatality without involving the snapping of one's head. His animality is a hyena, oddly enough.

Omni-Man[edit | edit source]

First appearing in the Invincible series, he is the first kharacter available for DLC. His fatalities involve the loser's being run over by a subway while passengers panic and the other fatality squeezes the loser's head, making their eyes pop out and then their head gets crushed. His animality is a Hail Mary (which is a Stranger Things‑esque creature similar to a demogorgon) that consumes the loser.

Quan Chi[edit | edit source]

Not only did he create Ermac, he also has the same skin color as Ermac. This guy is basically Shang Tsung if he had a skeleton theme. In one fatality, he will use panels of glass to slice the loser into four. In another fatality, which is something Quan Chi would do, he would force the loser to melt off their face, twist their head off and give it to him for an experiment. Quan Chi's animality is unique since all the other animalities have living animals (or in Reptile's case, a living plant), but his animality is a literal dinosaur fossil. The markings might be the case.

Peacemaker[edit | edit source]

Similarly to Jean-Claude Van Damme, John Cena's portrayal of Peacemaker is passable enough, as he portrays Peacemaker in the DC Universe. His fatalities involve accidentally injuring the loser with a gun to kill a butterfly (which he crushes with his bare hands afterwards) and using a jetpack to explode the loser into pieces. His animality is an eagle, which he does the animality with Eagly. The end result is him landing onto the loser's skull.

Ermac[edit | edit source]

Short for error macro. Contrary to his name, he is not a glitch and is a combo of souls. In one of his interactions with Johnny Cage, Cage makes fun of people who mention pronouns in their bio, but Ermac is always referred with male pronouns. His fatalities involve him recreating a Leonardo da Vinci artwork and sucking up the loser's soul like Kirby. His animality is a swarm of locusts, probably because of the thousands of souls in his body.

Homelander[edit | edit source]

He is from The Boys. He also appears in an ad for a fake mobile game, apparently. His fatalities involve a similar fatality as Omni‑Man's first fatality, except the loser gets sucked into the plane's jets while people inside are panicking, while the other fatality uses his lasers to explode the loser's head and slice them in half. His animality is a gryphon and is kinda similar to Peacemaker's.

Takeda[edit | edit source]

Kenshi's son from Boretal Kombat X. Is also known as Cool Whip because of the way he uses whips. His fatalities involve him wrapping up the loser into his whips and using the whips to unravel the loser's body. If any other Kombat Kid returns, then it is likely that Cassie Cage and Kung Jin will be main kharacters while Jacqui Briggs will be a Kameo in a similar way that her father is. Takeda's animality is an octopus, which would crush the loser's upper body when eaten.

Noob Saibot[edit | edit source]

Bi-Han's evil persona. This is the only Boretal Kombat game to feature both Bi‑Han as Sub‑Zero, his Kameo form and Noob Saibot. His fatalities involve summoning shadows to kill the loser while the other fatality goes into the loser's body. His animality is similar to Boretal Kombat 9's fatality, in which he turns into a crocodile that splits the loser in half.

Cyrax[edit | edit source]

Cyrax has an African accent in this game. She uses bombs to kill her enemies. Her fatalities involve crucifying the loser into bits, while the other fatality involves her roller-skating the loser's head and then rips it off. Her animality is a bee because of her black and yellow color scheme. However, it's not like the one in Ultimate Boretal Kombat 3.

Sektor[edit | edit source]

Main article: Sektor

The ketchup of Cyrax. She is part of the Cyber Lin Kuei. Her fatalities involve her burning the loser in a similar way to Li Mei's first fatality, except she kills them to ashes while the other fatality sends the loser to space and then crash landing into the ground. You can say she is the Iron Man of the main kharacters. Her animality, for odd reasons, is a rhino.

Ghostface[edit | edit source]

Ghostface made history as the first kharacter to break the fourth wall in a single fatality. Depending on what you use to play the game, Johnny Cage will either use a Playstation 5 controller, an Xbox controller, a Steam Deck or a gaming laptop (depending how you play the game if you use Steam), or a Nintendo Switch (if you play this on a TV, he will use a controller, or if you play this in handheld mode, he will use the Joycons). He also gets killed by Ghostface afterwards along with the loser. Ghostface also has a fatality where the loser accidentally bumps into him and then his buddies will kill the victim as well. However, he's not just a single guy in a mask, Kira and Kobra are also his friends as well, and they haven't even appeared in a single game since Genesis. His animality is a vulture. If you activate this animality, a random song from Kanye West and Ty Dolla $ign's albums Yen Dollar or its sequel will begin playing.

Kameos[edit | edit source]

Darrius[edit | edit source]

Darrius is basically Jax if he was weaker. His fatality simply rips the loser's arms and rips their head off with them.

Sareena[edit | edit source]

Johnny Cage thinks she's hot. She is chosen by many players because of the way she depletes the super meter. Her fatality simply rips the loser's heart out, but not like Havik's.

Cyrax[edit | edit source]

The female version of him is very different. Otherwise, his fatality is the only one that can get through YouTube because all other fatalities involve blood. The fatality in question puts a lot of bombs and makes the world explode. The location of the explosion is likely in the Philippines.

Kano[edit | edit source]

If Johnny Cage is chosen as the announcer, he will do an Australian accent. In a similar way to Sareena and Havik's fatalities, he rips the loser's heart out.

Sonya Blade[edit | edit source]

You thought she was going to come back as a main kharacter? Her fatality is that she blows a kiss, like Kitana's second fatality, except the loser is on fire and isn't melting into a skeleton. The loser does turn into a skeleton, though.

Sektor[edit | edit source]

Just like his female variant, he throws rockets everywhere. His fatality is crushing the loser into a paste.

Frost[edit | edit source]

Back in the previous game, you had to unlock her through Story Mode. Thankfully, you don't need to. She is the female version of Sub‑Zero. Her fatality freezes the loser's torso and turns them into a mostly-skeletal version of themself.

Jax[edit | edit source]

Also contrary to popular belief, he doesn't make it in as a main kharacter. His fatality used to be a brutality, which basically makes him gigantic and crushes the loser with one of his feet. Thankfully it turned into a fatality and not a brutality.

Stryker[edit | edit source]

People thought that because of the Black Lives Matter protests, Stryker will never appear in a single Boretal Kombat game ever. This turns out to be wrong. His fatality makes the loser wear a vest full of bombs, in which they explode afterwards.

Scorpion[edit | edit source]

This Funko Pop was made to commemorate Scorpion's appearance in Hell's Masterchef.

Basically this guy is Hanzo Hasashi, who is homeless in the new timeline. He has also hosted a cooking show called "Cooking With Scorpion" in the past, and has competed on Hell's Masterchef. His fatality removes his mask and burns the loser, which they explode into a bunch of bones afterwards. You've probably seen this one before ...

Sub-Zero[edit | edit source]

This guy's probably a good version of the main Sub-Zero. His fatality is the one that triggered the US Government to create a ratings system for video games, that being the signature spine rip. This one doesn't need explaining.

Kung Lao[edit | edit source]

What if this Kameo was the Great Kung Lao? His fatality is very simple and just simply cuts the loser in half with his hat.

Shujinko[edit | edit source]

If you wanted to play as him in the previous games where he was in, you have to complete Konquest Mode. In this game, however, you need to level up your profile, which should be easy. His fatality is exactly like the one in Kill Bill, in which he uses the Five Palm Strike attack to explode the loser's heart. How many of these fatalities in this game involve hearts???

Motaro[edit | edit source]

A centaur that shoots laser balls from his tail. His fatality is somewhat hard to execute out of all the fatalities in the game (so far), but if you manage to do it right, Motaro will use his tail to explode the loser's body, except their hands will become intact.

Goro[edit | edit source]

One of Shao Kahn's servants. His fatality involves crushing the loser's head and then ripping it off in half.

Tremor[edit | edit source]

He is the first and only Kameo and also kharacter to ever have variants. His fatality is like bowling, in which he rolls a huge rock as a ball and the loser is the pin.

Khameleon[edit | edit source]

Usually we don't have a fatality for her. But she does in this game, however she doesn't use Jade's staff in it. She uses Mileena's sais to poke the loser's eyes and then uses one of Kitana's fans to slice the loser in half.

Janet Cage[edit | edit source]

The female version of Johnny Cage. If both players use her as a Kameo while Johnny Cage is being used as the main kharacter and Cage Mansion is chosen, once again, a special music track will be played instead. The same goes if you choose other variants. Her fatality is similar to the Klassic brutality, which is just uppercutting the loser's head off. One of her brutalities is also like this. She is also one of the most overpowered Kameos in the game.

Mavado[edit | edit source]

Not gonna lie, he looks like Gerard Way. His fatality catapults him into the loser, making the loser's body be in half.

Ferra[edit | edit source]

The voice you're hearing is the exact same voice actress who played Twilight Sparkle. Her fatality is similar to that of Kameo Kung Lao's, which is basically slicing the loser in half.

Invasions[edit | edit source]

The Invasions game mode is similar to Konquest. If you are playing the game mode for the first time, you are spawned into Johnny Cage's mansion. The way it works is that you are traversing in a board game-style map, in which you fight others, survive until time runs out, defeat mini-bosses and defeat the boss of each level. You also collect parts that can upgrade talismans (which grant you secret powers, but have limited amounts) and relics (which have special powers depending on what you chose). There are some levels that can change gameplay of who you're fighting, such as falling meteors. Like Pokémon, each kharacter (including Kameos) have their own types, in which some are weaker to others while others can resist the powers of these types, except all types from that game appear in this game.[19] Some kharacters have one type while others have two. The final boss is always the featured character of the season, in which if you defeat them, you will gain a lot of XP for your kharacter and Kameo, several krowns, seasonal kredits and koins, their skin (which can be applied to the kharacter), a key item that gains access to bonus levels, relics, talismans and in one case, a stage variant. It can get repetitive sometimes. You can also get additional items by solving Klues, in which some are very easy and obvious while others are very difficult.

So far, here are all the Invasions seasons:

  • Season of the Scorpion (Scorpion) [9/14/23-11/9/23], [11/19/24-1/21/25]
  • Season of the Badly Acted Vampire (Nitara) [11/9/23-12/14/23]
  • Season of the Holidays (Sub-Zero) [12/14/23-2/28/24]
  • Season of the Tarkatan Empress (Mileena) [2/28/24-4/15/24]
  • Season of the Thunder God (Raiden) [4/15/24-6/4/24]
  • Season of the Reptilian (Reptile) [6/4/24-7/23/24]
  • Season of the Kobra (Shang Tsung) [7/23/24-9/24/24]
  • Season of the Phoenix (Liu Kang) [9/24/24-11/19/24]

Reception[edit | edit source]

When Boretal Kombat 1 was released in 2023, some publications have considered to be the best Boretal Kombat game of all time, but the microtransactions turned them off. The same couldn't be said for the Nintendo Switch version of the game, which had tons of bugs upon release. Plus, there was no way to have cross-progression in the game yet. If you're genuinely buying the game and you have a WBGames account, consider getting either the PS5, Xbox One or Steam version instead.

  1. unless you're playing it on a very cheap computer
  2. If you're a Nintendo Switch player, too bad. You have to wait.
  3. The previous game had more microtransactions. It had skins too, although Russian Skarlet was taken off after the invasion in Ukraine.
  4. The closest thing is to go to MKSecrets.
  5. The opponent doesn't have that option in Invasions. Happy?
  6. If the opponent is Baraka, it can be considered cannibalism.
  7. If you pair this guy with Mavado or Janet Cage, the opponent will be screwed.
  8. If Bo Rai Cho comes back, this might have been saved for him.
  9. He used to be Sub-Zero. What did you expect?
  10. Scorpion used to transform as a penguin that would lay exploding eggs.
  11. YouTube will not like it if there is red blood on characters that are human-like, save for Ermac, who has pale skin like a vampire.
  12. Are these the first animalities in the game?
  13. Smoke would have that animality, except he is a gorilla and not a chimpanzee.
  14. Also not an animal, should've been called Plantality instead
  15. If you do it with Shao, things would probably make sense.
  16. The same goes for Mileena.
  17. which then emits the "Toasty!" sound effect
  18. Shao Kahn has the most.
  19. Nintendo has never sued the developers.
