Sorry if it's coming off that way. :( I've been trying to write satire (UnNews:Dinosaurs no longer extinct), but things like Trump and now the sexual harassment epidemic have been dominating the news. I did take the liberty of changing "president" with quotation marks or * back to president without any marks, because I intended it to sound like a real news article (actually, about half of it is real news). Also I moved the pic you added to the right; on some screens (i.e. one of my screens) one on the left and one on the right kind of overlapped and scrunched the text. Hope that's OK with you. There is nothing wrong with the article in and of itself. It's just a joke. However, my name is unique (at least on Google) which means that if you type "Euan Metz" into Google this article will show up on the first page. What I'm concerned about is that when an employer is conducting a job search and is interested in me (I work in academia) they will inevitably search for me on Google. They will then be directed to my professional pages etc, but this article will also come up, and it looks silly/unprofessional to have a page written about "me" (there is no other person with my name). Since this is just a joke page but one that could materially affect me, can I please ask you to take this page down? If you like, you could keep the article exactly the same, but change the name to something other than "Euan Metz".

block request for sockmaster and sockpuppet

There is a couple of vandals, a master and ipsock, vandalizing from at leas a month:

• 104.139.108.163 (talk · contribs · deleted contribs · filter log · WHOIS · RDNS · RBLs · http · block user · block log)

A series of stupid vandalisms as did here, here or here (and always using false messages into history... fix what?). Vandalisms continue here or here. Anyway, the fields are the same of Senor Snuffalupago:

• Senor Snuffalupago (talk · contribs · deleted contribs · filter log · WHOIS · Snuffalupago.html RBLs · block user · block log)

Sockmaster: strangely, the anonymous 104 vandalized the user page of 172.73.149.44, the one who warned Senor Snuff for his "out of bed vandalisms" and reverted em all (just an example. Anyway, apart the silly messages, an example in june, another in may), vandalisms on the sandbox and other edits in Berks Area Regional Transportation Authority (exactly the same field of 104), we have this out of bed message (from 104 to Senor Snuff). Anyway, following this report in which was noticed that 104 is a sock of Snuff, messages and contribs of them changed: this edit by Snuff was reverted by 104. This comedy continued in the sandbox (just an example). Seeing Sandbox's history, you can notice that Snuff and 104 had no problem of rollbacks. No problems among them before it was noticed that they are master and sock. After it, 104 started the comedy of rollbacking Snuffalupago. And his history of recent contribs is full of false messages in the summary.

That's the situation. Yesterday I left hoping he learned something. The only effect was "new vandalisms" and so, enough is enough. Please, consider the unblock of 172.73.149.44, that was the only one who stopped Snuffalupago's massive vandalisms onto talks and sandbox. I don't know if there are other reasons for your block, but if they are related to Snuff&104, you blocked the wrong one. Thanks for bringing this to my attention. I've blocked them for three months, just on the chance that you're right. I'll just wait and see how it goes. As for 172.73.149.44, Roza (before leaving) deleted several of his articles for being copypasted from Wikipedia, and I blocked him because his edits simply weren't funny. If it were for mere vandalism or spam, I would have said so. That didn't even factor into my decision. He remains blocked for that reason alone. Thanks. • User:AraChiu8735, 20 August. Only 1 edit into his UP.

I dunno about this pair of users but... I have some suspects.

• User:HuFf SLUSh7264 is a vandalism-only account. I reverted his blankings and tagged his UP for QuickVFD as a blatant vandalism. All this users have some digits, some mixed capital-lowercase letters, and a single edit into their user page. Uhm...

On blocking User:ウソつき

Hi. I'd like to talk about the block on ウソつき, because it seems to me the action you made on him is too harsh. Though I'm not sure enough what he has done (created a filthy template?), I probably know him on Usopedia, and blocking as long as half a year seems to be too long (a month would be enough IMO), at least by guessing from his activities on Usopedia; I don't think he had the intention to vandalize the wiki.

I should also tell you that it seems to me he was trying to make an apology for his actions (though his translation from Japanese is at a poor level, again, I do think it was a good faith edit) on his talk page, and preventing him from editing it doesn't seem to be appropriate. Bans

Hey man I hope you're doing well. We recently received a complaint about some of your bans, on discord. You infinitely banned these 3 IPs for what amounts to very very minor infractions. I don't believe infinitely banning IPs is really very productive (public WiFi and dynamic IPs etc.), but regardless these particular contributors hardly deserved to be banned in the first place. I think it would be better if we could try to educate these neophytes and turn them into helpful contributors instead of kicking them to the curb because their very first attempt at an edit wasn't good.
