My dad is currently watching "Top 100 Greatest One Hit Wonders of the 80s" upstairs, which got me thinking: this site has had its fair share of "one hit wonders." The user I thought of first was Nikau, who came out of nowhere, wrote one really good article, and then was essentially never heard from again. So, just wondering, are there any other notable one hit Uncyclopedia wonders I and other should be made aware of? —Unführer Guildy Ritter von Guildensternenstein 02:59, 29 July 2009 (UTC)

Now I think of it, Nikau also wrote Rape and Pillage, but disappeared before he could finish it. Sir SockySexy girls.jpg Mermaid with dolphin.jpg Tired Marilyn Monroe.jpg (talk) (stalk)Magnemite.gif Icons-flag-be.png GUN SotM UotM PMotM UotYPotM WotM 13:23, 4 August 2009 (UTC)
The obvious one is fisher price. That writer got one pitch, hit it out of the park, and was never heard from again. - T.L.B. Baloon.gif WotM, UotM, FPrize, AotM, ANotM, PLS, UN:HS, GUN 03:03, Jul 29
Fisher Price is the "Crank Dat" of Uncyclopedia. —Unführer Guildy Ritter von Guildensternenstein 03:04, 29 July 2009 (UTC)
If by "crank dat" you mean "poetic masterpiece," then I wholeheartedly agree. - T.L.B. Baloon.gif WotM, UotM, FPrize, AotM, ANotM, PLS, UN:HS, GUN 03:09, Jul 29
Sure. —Unführer Guildy Ritter von Guildensternenstein 03:10, 29 July 2009 (UTC)
Also, in general, you can find one hit wonders by diddling around here and looking for names you don't recognize. One of the guys from my town, GopherKiller, springs to mind. - T.L.B. Baloon.gif WotM, UotM, FPrize, AotM, ANotM, PLS, UN:HS, GUN 03:13, Jul 29

Also, in general, you can find people you'd like to take out to dinner here, then take them out to dinner. Also, in general, you'll have to pay for the whole thing because they've left their wallet in their other suit.
Also, in general, it's best not to refer to people as "one hit wonders" because then when they hear about it, they won't bother to write the Next Great Page© (even though they came back here after being away for 16 months specifically to write that page) since you've pulled out their ego and crushed it under your vengeful little heel, you monster. the current feature, Stone the Israeli Tank, was originally written by Idigl7220 in two edits. those were his only two edits on uncyclopedia, and they earned him half a feature (i humbly claimed the other half after building on his groundwork and concept). i'd call that about as much of a one-hit wonder as you can be. except for Fisher Price of course; has that been mentioned yet? Many would say that the daring, hilarious, and innovative HowTo:Maintain a vanity site on Wikipedia would qualify Gubby for this, but I also happen to love his non-feature Cake (though VFH has disagreed a couple times). Also, Llama-Llover, for the stunning Martin Van Buren and just about nothing else. --Littleboyonly.jpg TKFUJewriken.GIFUJewriken.GIFUJewriken.GIFUJewriken.GIFUJewriken.GIFUJewriken.GIFUJewriken.GIFUJewriken.GIFUJewriken.GIFUJewriken.GIFUJewriken.GIFUJewriken.GIFUJewriken.GIFUJewriken.GIFUJewriken.GIFUJewriken.GIFUJewriken.GIFUJewriken.GIFUJewriken.GIFUJewriken.GIFUUJewriken.GIFUJewriken.GIFUJewriken.GIFUJewriken.GIFUJewriken.GIFUJewriken.GIFUJewriken.GIFUJewriken.GIFUJewriken.GIFUJewriken.GIFUJewriken.GIFUJewriken.GIFUJewriken.GIFUJewriken.GIFUJewriken.GIFUJewriken.GIFUJewriken.GIFUJewriken.GIFUJewriken.GIFUJewriken.GIFUJewriken.GIFCK Oldmanonly.jpg 19:44, 29 July 2009 (UTC)

I am more of fan of the two-hit wonders. These people are only one hit, one way or the other, from being either a one-hit wonder, or being in the HoS. Interesting people, the two-hit wonders. Woody On Fire! Wood burning.gifTalking Woody Stalking Woody 19:58, 29 July 2009 (UTC)

Would I be a two hit wonder? After all, I only have two features. MegaPleb Dexter111344 Complain here 20:06, 29 July 2009 (UTC)
No. You're around consistantly. To be a wonder, you have to leave quickly after a short burst of brilliance. You still have a very good chance of getting more. Think Cheapinitreal. Wrote two hilarious articles in a month or two, along with a few others, and then left mysteriously one day, never to be heard from again....not to give you any ideas. Don't go. Woody On Fire! I am from now going to refer to myself as a Three-Hit-Failure. I am a failure, because I forgot to leave at my peak, and instead am still here. Damn. Nameable mumble? (UnScr:PWotM) 22:24, 29 July 2009 (UTC)

OOOHH ME ME ME!!!! I'm actually considered a one hit wonder! Icons-flag-it.png 17YEARSOFcHeDDaR 15px-SBQ3.JPG 23:17,3August,2009

Not according Woody, since you're around "consistantly" (The correct spelling of that word, according to Google, is "consistently", though Woody may have meant "constantly."). Also, since Leprechaun is a quasi-feature, you're more of a 1 and a half hit wonder. MegaPleb Dexter111344 Complain here 13:30, 4 August 2009 (UTC)
One of the "one-hit wonders" is a sockpuppet I created to write shitty articles that took almost no work. One got featured. Another one of the "one-hit wonders" is a sockpuppet I created to barf drunken randomness onto the wiki. Some of that got featured, too. Tinymasaru.gifpillow talk 15:34, 4 August 2009 (UTC)

Top 100 Greatest One Hit Wonders of the 80s

Far more interesting topic.

"I Ran (So Far Away)" by A Flock of Seagulls is an awesome starter. I have their compilation album, but I've yet to be bothered to listen to the rest of it. --SoIwastolazytolearnGermanic.jpg-kun "whisper sweet nothings into thine ear..." 23:54, 3 August 2009 (UTC)

Yeah, 1982, I think. To me, Tommy Tutone were kind of 70's throwups. They could've worked as new wave, had they not tried to prolong their career further than the watermark set by Blondie. --SoIwastolazytolearnGermanic.jpg-kun "whisper sweet nothings into thine ear..." 00:47, 4 August 2009 (UTC)
Wait, what about Never Gonna Give you Up by Rick Astley? It IS the only 80's song to be famous on the internet.--Bad Shroom 15:35, 4 August 2009 (UTC)
It's not his only hit and it's not the only 80's song to be "famous" to the credible internet society. Most Bateman meme fans would stick up for "Hip to be Square" by Huey Lewis and the News, for instance. However, the second an 80's song becomes "famous on the internet" is the second I bin my copy of it. --SoIwastolazytolearnGermanic.jpg-kun "whisper sweet nothings into thine ear..." 15:50, 4 August 2009 (UTC)
