Dissociative Identity Disorder
Huh? I checked the edit history of it, and the "vandalism" is still there. (Not to mention there's a new one on the discussion page as well...) So you mean you're willing to cut that off? Cool. Well, if the article is to remain as I originally wanted it to, it would need to stop after my first 13:30 12 April 2006 edit. (Since the PLS contest is over and it doesn't need to be on my user page, I mean the first edit for that time) That is before everyone got to it. Discussion page would need to cut off everything but my edits too. A reason for protecting it... how about, "Protecting from inevitable vandalism"? Thanks, I honestly didn't think I could get it protected! Much appreciated, in advance. --So So 06:27, 25 April 2006 (UTC)
- Uhm... I've done the deleting and restoring and protecting stuff to the article, but I'm afraid I'm not going to do all that with the talk page... I find article discussion pages are meant to discuss the article, and not to act as an extention of the article. I hope this doesn't ruin the whole basic idea...
Also, the article is up for deletion. So... if all goes horribly wrong, it will still get deleted (protection or no protection). You can thank Isra for that one... --~ sin($) tan(€) 20:29, 25 April 2006 (UTC)
- It's cool man, you've already done exactly what I requested, and that's a lot more than I can ask for, or something. Yeah, I see what you mean, so that's fine to keep the discussion page open then. Whatever fate becomes of the article now is out of your hands. I don't have one of those template things or whatever, so let me express my thanks with this:

Bug
Hi MoneySign, I have discovered the reason for banning a single IP and many get banned. StarHub, a Singapore ISP with a few hundred thousand customers, leases a few proxy lines from SingTel, which owns the whole internet network and maintains it. Banning an IP would mean banning the proxy, which means that those StarHub users who are unfortunately connected to that proxy by StarHub will be affected. Therefore, the ban probably affects a few thousand StarHub users, as the IP which shows up is the proxy IP, which appears to be the same. --Terrancommander 12:54, 25 April 2006 (UTC)
- Hope you realise that if some Starhubian decides to seriously get on sysops' nerves, we won't give a care about the other Starhubbards... But let's just hope it never comes to that, eh? --~ sin($) tan(€) 20:34, 25 April 2006 (UTC)

It lasted less than an hour on VFP when PseudoChron nominated it, but I thought it was great. I can understand why people would vote against when they're offended though. Bloopy 01:19, 27 April 2006 (UTC)
- Heh, thanks for the award... I think... As for the image: I would have voted against it as well if I was awake at the time. Featuring it would have indeed crossed the line of what is acceptable and what is just going too far. I don't want Uncyclopedia to be known as the wiki that makes light of the holocaust.
So yeah, once again, thanks for the award and take care. --~ sin($) tan(€) 09:41, 27 April 2006 (UTC)- I do think that the image deserves to be featured, though I would have had to vote against for the reasons that are very clear to all. -- Sir Mhaille (talk to me)

- ↑ See the joke? You just said it works best when nobody is paying attention. So I proved your point in an evilly humorous fashion. The "OOPS!" signifies something along the lines of "Oops, you assumed nobody was paying attention, but somebody WAS"...
- ↑ Roger_The_Bum got the joke in aforementioned kick.
- ↑ This is another example of the "proving one's point per illustration" form of humor.
Closing thoughts
I agree that banning you (or any user, for that matter) on the grounds of one (1) simple, verbal attack would be gross abuse of power. The ban illustrated here, however, does not belong in that category.
The reason for your "time-out" has several dates of origin. Most of them are instances of you throwing metaphorical rocks at people whilst living in a metaphorical glass house. Note that I'm not denying (nor confirming) your less than flattering statements about me, I'm just saying that you weren't really one to talk. The ban was therefore meant to bring you down a notch.
On a sidenote: I had planned not to give you much/any background-information about the time-out because I reckoned it would have been more effective and helpful if you figured it out for yourself. Silly me for believing you'd actually give it some thought as oposed to reducing yourself to an exemplar of immature behavior. Never going to make that mistake again...

- What??? What's what you thought??? And anyways, I'm quite sure you didn't think, but you assumed. There's a big difference. And in case you don't know: Assuming means you take it as a truth. Thinking leaves room for doubt and might/should lead to further investigation. --~ sin($) tan(€) 21:20, 9 May 2006 (UTC)
- Ok, I get it. Still no reason for 3 day bannination. And i believe if it weren't for Chronarion, it would've been longer. --Anidn Needs Ignorant Dumbasses to Not Meaninglessly Exile him from InterNet MeetingrOoms MUN SLACK10 ⌘ .az VforIRCop(HOLLA ATCHA BOY!) 02:00, 10 May 2006 (UTC)
- It wasn't my intention to ban you for 3 days. That was entirely up to you. Alas, you just got worse. And yes, if it wasn't Chron that unbanned you, I would have rebanned you in a heartbeat. Never the less, consider yourself warned. And don't think that because Chronarion unbanned you, that your safe from future bans. (Also, don't think because now that I've said that, I'm going to ban you for No Good Reason™.)

Yeah, the previous article was a list of D&D stats, not even trying to be funny. I tried to make something worth (maybe) keeping or editing. Seeing as you were the one who said that the original article sucks, I figured I'd go to you for the go-ahead on removing (or pushing back) the NRV tag.Buffalo elf 22:00, 8 May 2006 (UTC)
- I've gone and removed the NRV. Uhm... As for what I think of the article... Erm... Hmmm... I know it's our fault, really. We're not doing enough to stop it, and we sure aren't doing enough to remove it. But I'm thinking you've might be making a bit too much use of the ol' memes (like Bush and Grues). Also, it strikes me as a bit tadd too random. But I'm really not one to judge. I've only wrtten three full articles and they're all cruft. Luckily I can compensate my lack of talent with bit of imaging.
- Oh, and you might want to check out Wikipedia's wiki-editing guide. 'Cause maybe it's a coincidence, but you seem to have wikilinked words that only begin with a capital letter. Thing is, every article has to begin with a cap, and so the software automatically links to the correct article, even if the word is written in all lower-case. However, this only counts for the first letter. Any other caps in the artile name must be matched in the word you're linking with. Anyways, just have a good browse through that helpful page there.
- Oh, and quotes follow this example:
{{Q|The quote of somebody|Somebody|subject}}
- There, hope that helps you out a bit. Good luck with further editing. Take care and have a good one! --~ sin($) tan(€) 22:25, 8 May 2006 (UTC)

- WOO! And awwwwww, all I have for you is the (noob) advice to change your signature prefrerences to say {{SUBST:nosubst|User:Villahj Ideeut/sig}}, as to prevent your signature hardcoding every time... :( --~ sin($) tan(€) 22:48, 12 June 2006 (UTC)

HowTo:Get Banned
I noticed that you deleted some of the images from HowTo:Get Banned. You also left red links in the article. Please restore the images or fix the red links. --Sbluen 03:14, 13 June 2006 (UTC)
- Sbluen, see: Forum:Gallery_fire_week:_a_modest_proposal_(OMG_eating_babies!). --Splaka 03:57, 13 June 2006 (UTC)
- Oh cry me a river, will you? Did I ask for the list CarlB generated? No. I would have been content working with the special page (which never makes a mistake if users apply the correct procedures). And besides: if I didn't go ahead and delete at uber-speeds, I wouldn't have ruled Recent Changes, and possibly wouldn't have earned the MDA. So :P to you all. --~ sin($) tan(€) 11:59, 13 June 2006 (UTC)
Image Huffing
The picture you huffed, Image:Flag of New York City.png, was in fact used. It was on the New Yorker User template. – Preceding unsigned comment added by Tripod2282 (talk • contribs) 13 June 2006
- It was in fact, not used, as it was only ever used on that template in a <choose> randomizer, which prevents images being listed on the description pages. Images such as these require {{notorphan}}. – Preceding unsigned comment added by Splaka (talk • contribs)

I would never have put up an image without approval, which I got. What's the deal? --Witty Guy bitch at me 17:30, 16 June 2006 (UTC)
- You got approval to use the image, yes. But you did NOT get Chron's approval to put it on VFP (you got the opposite). Much less did you get the approval to claim credit (which you did in the nomination template). For someone with such high standards, you've sunk quite low, in my opinion. --~ sin($) tan(€) 17:34, 16 June 2006 (UTC)
- Agreed 200%. You can't claim you had doubts. You are not a N00b, you know damn well that non-original images aren't featurable. You know CHRONARION himself told you specifiaclly that this specific image won't be featured either. And above all, you know you didn't make it and you have no right to take credit for it. You are lucky I don't hold the banstick.---Asteroid B612 (aka Rataube) - Ñ 17:44, 16 June 2006 (UTC)
- jumps back and looks surprized at Rataube* ... errrr... I'd loan you mine, but they have these things surgically attached upon receiving *holds up body part to which the banstick is connected* See? *checks the admin's rules history again* ... *confirms it's the same guy* ... You ok there? *backs off* --~ sin($) tan(€) 17:52, 16 June 2006 (UTC)
- You shouldn't be surprised. From rule number 2: "Before taking any step against an user, consider wether the foult was commited intending to make harm or not". What Acid did was no doubt done deliberately and intentionaly. I was not proposing to stop the bans, just to remind ourselves we must control the little famine we all have inside of us, and use it only in the apropiate case (and I think this is one of this cases).---Asteroid B612 (aka Rataube) - Ñ 18:20, 16 June 2006 (UTC)
- Well judging by his reactions, I'm sure he thought he was "drawing within the lines" concerning the VFPing it... The credit-claiming... That truly disgusts me... Suppose Chron even DID give permission to claim credit, I can think of a dozen sewer rats with more integrity than that. --~ sin($) tan(€) 18:27, 16 June 2006 (UTC)
- Chron said that if I got the guy's approval, he was OK with it. He just wanted to avoid an eBaum episode. And that's that. --Witty Guy bitch at me 18:01, 16 June 2006 (UTC)

<AcidAmmo> hey, chron lemme ask you something
<chronarion> ok
<AcidAmmo> i found this image at a brazilian site, original work of the poster.
<AcidAmmo> its a great image: Image:Braile.jpg
<AcidAmmo> i just emailed the author (i know my away around portuguese)
<AcidAmmo> can we feature the image?
<chronarion> did he OK it yet?
<chronarion> specifically regarding CC licensing?
<AcidAmmo> im waiting his reply
<chronarion> you cannot feature it until it is clear
<chronarion> and it has to be CC license
<chronarion> you gotta make that clear
<chronarion> not just "display on our website"
<chronarion> if those two hurdles are clear
<chronarion> then it's OK, but has to go through VFP as usual
<AcidAmmo> ok
<AcidAmmo> when i get his reply i'll say it on IRC
<MoneySign> And let's say it gets the ok from the creator, can AcidAmmo get credited for Featured Image?
<chronarion> no
<chronarion> the creator is credited
<Rataube> Money i wasnt paying attention what were u going to say about the leukemia picture?
<MoneySign> Hmm. ok.
<chronarion> acidammo can get "props"
<MoneySign> Heh... That's ok, Rataube...
<MoneySign> I'll do it some other time.
<AcidAmmo> its just the leet ninjastar
<chronarion> like "negotiated by"
<chronarion> or something
- So, it seems you were allowed to put it on VFP, if meeting certain criteria. I'm not sure, but didn't you share with us later on that you did NOT get the specifically CC-licence from the creator? That in fact you couldn't translate what he sent you, but that you did get that he allowed its usage? Tell me... Oh, and yes... The credit-part... QUITE SIMPLY DISPICABLE! --~ sin($) tan(€) 18:12, 16 June 2006 (UTC)
- That's what I'm saying. The guy just said it would be OK to put the image in the site. And when I got into copyright he said "sim, comuns criativos, que seja. pode por, e se eles quiserem, dá meu e-mail pra eles", which becomes "yes, creative commons, whatever. you can put it, and if they want to, give them my e-mail address". And as the guy who did it doesn't have an Uncyc account, I just creditted who added it to the site. --Witty Guy bitch at me 19:01, 16 June 2006 (UTC)
- I will accept your explination for the CC-thing and putting it on VFP. And I guess my apologies for accusing you of violating rules. But no, I will not accept your explination for the credit-theft. You made NO INDICATION WHAT SO EVER that it was not your image. The only place I could find some indication that it wasn't yours, was on your userpage. But if it wasn't for my prior knowledge of this image, I would have never suspected such. You may be following the "rules" given to you by that Brazilian guy, but making the situation so that nobody would even think about asking for his email address (intentional or not) is just very very very weak. --~ sin($) tan(€) 19:10, 16 June 2006 (UTC)
- Again, agreed. My apologies too, you were in your right to VFP it, maybe. But again, you had no right to claim the credit for it.---Asteroid B612 (aka Rataube) - Ñ 19:22, 16 June 2006 (UTC)
- Ok, ok, who should I credit it for? The guy's name, perhaps? --Witty Guy bitch at me 20:15, 16 June 2006 (UTC)
- We don't know if the maluco wishes to publish his name here, I say credit it to Anonymous, to Mr. N/A or to Mr. -----. ---Asteroid B612 (aka Rataube) - Ñ 21:01, 16 June 2006 (UTC)

So, Money, I'm not going to re-add it, that would be going over your head. I think you could get all the comments from the previous nomination and paste it and renominate it, right? --Witty Guy bitch at me 00:41, 19 June 2006 (UTC)
- Actually, I would prefer not to see it renominated. Aren't we supposed to be proud of what we're doing and not proud of what were finding somewhere on the internet, but making sure it's all legal before we use it? If you renominate it, I will add a note explaining the whole thing. But I will also vote against with the reason I just gave you. --~ sin($) tan(€) 00:50, 19 June 2006 (UTC)
Comments or suggestions
Since we've had an intelligent and meaningful exchange of ideas, I'd appreciate any thought or suggestion you might have in relation to the corner I've gotten myself painted into. Please see User:Jax-arrgj/001 and leave any thoughts you might have on User_talk:Jax-arrgj/001 -- at me 17:07, 28 June 2006 (UTC)
Cousin
You probably won't see it for a while, so I've decided to say it here as well: Blame my cousin for that. I've banned him from my PC. The guy doesn't understand how the site works. If he causes any more trouble on this ISP, prevent it from editing. I don't want him putting stupid shit on a good site. 07:22, 30 June 2006 (UTC)
BTW, if you don't know what I'm talking about, remember back to the "nigger" things you mentioned on the My Chemical Romance discussion page.
- Quick reply would be that we will ban an ISP if they become uncontrolably annoying. If they just have a very lame sense of humour, a range-block would be a bit of an over-kill... So yeah... We'll see... Take care, happy editing, and have a good one. --~ sin($) tan(€) 16:24, 30 June 2006 (UTC)
Oh, alright. Thanks. I'll try and keep him off and if he wants to go on that badly, I'll see he doesn't visit here or Wikipedia or any other Wikis at that. 08:30, 1 July 2006 (UTC)

Archive your damn talk page sometime, loser. --Splarka 10:46, 1 July 2006 (UTC)
Users who are D-BAGS
I think that the template should stay there, just to rub it in this ED morons face.. At least let it stay for a day or two so he can see it. Sir C Holla | CUN --22:51, 2 July 2006 (UTC)
Sorry about that
Hi -- sorry about that Choose Your Own Adventure format. I didn't know about the game pages. I'll move the pages.--Procopius 00:49, 6 July 2006 (UTC)
- That's ok. And here's another little newbie-mistake: when someone left a message on your talk page, you should reply there. That person is most likely keeping an eye on the page. Replying on the person's own talk page will fragment the conversation, thus rendering it decreased in value. (I'll, of course, have to copy/paste this on your talk page now, because I'm not sure you're watching this space... :D) --~ sin($) tan(€) 00:54, 6 July 2006 (UTC)
- Oh, and sorry about the ban... I just find it's the most effective way to get a message to the person before he/she/it does anymore "damage".
