Cheers for Review[edit source]

Thanks for reviewing The Tempest for me. Already I've begun to fix some of the points you made. If you have any more things to note about the article, don't hesitate to tell me.--Garionepsilon 10:07, 17 April 2008 (UTC)

Hey, you're welcome! I don't think your article needs expansion, just trimming. If I think of anything, yeah, I'll tell ya. Cheers, GE!   Le Cejak <Apr 17, 2008 [13:32]>

Ta Uncyclopedia:Pee Review/Why?:Take a wikibreak[edit source]

Just saying thanks for the excellent review. I pretty much agree with everything you've said there, especially the concept part - I knew it wasn't all that good for VFH and whatnot, but I wasn't aiming for VFH really (I never have done, VFH > me), it was really a piece I just wrote when looking back at my own wikibreak, and partly meant as a bit of fluff to get me out of writer's block. I might improve it a bit, but I might just move on to my next article, not sure yet. Anyway, thanks again! (Side note - oddly, that's the first time I've actually used Pee Review, despite 40+ reviews.) ~~Hv 20/04 16:18

You'll write something VFH worthy eventually, everyone does. You don't have to aim for 200 vfhs, just aim for one at a time. I'm glad you liked my review, HV, that means a lot coming from you.   Le Cejak <Apr 20, 2008 [15:54]>

Pee Review/VFH/UnNews/Have I Missed The Boat?[edit source]

Hmm...Hi Cajek, your sig is so friendly and all and I had some stuff I wanted to ask/discuss so here we go...

Annoyingly my watch-list email has been screwing around recently and so I've only just seen your review on my Apocolypse expecting cult UnNews article. So first off: thanks for that and woo 37! Second of all: how does UnNews featuring work, does it just go to where the "featured article" section is or does it go under the "UnNews" section on the front page?

And also you mentioned VFH and obviously what with my n00biness I haven't submitted anything to VFH yet, let alone an UnNews article, so: do you reckon I've missed the boat with nomination for VFH here (what with UnNews being supposedly up to the microsecond or whatever)? If not I mgiht as well give it a shot, as you say, right? Er, thanks again for the review!

And just a few links for lazy people such as myself: The article in question The review

- 07:28 20 AprilSir FSt. (QotF BFF NotM) YTTETalk!Read!Sign!Whore!CMC!Pee!

Hey hey, long time no see on this here talk page, YTTE! First, when an unnews is featured, it goes in the "featured box" on the mainpage like everything else. If you want to put your article in {{RecentUnNews}}, go for it, but I would ask that you put your slightly older article below my just finished one on the list. Actually, I could do it for you, if you want.
So you're looking at VFH, eh? I don't mind nominating your article, if you so desire. Would you consider nominating UnNews:Something Wicked This Way Comes? My prediction is that both articles will fail, but because I'm not sure about that, I think we should give them both a shot. Thank you for the lazylinks!   Le Cejak <Apr 20, 2008 [18:39]>
Oh so you can just put it in RecentUnNews by yourself? I always thought a hallowed administrator had to do that...I'll sling it in there now, and yes, I'll be happy to nom your aritcle (which I've read and thoroughly enjoyed by the way and have spent a little bit of time hunting through VFH to see if it's been nominated so i can back it!). If you could nominate my article that would be great, it'll be interesting also to get loads of opinions. OK, off I go to nominate your article and RecentUnNews mine. :-D - 08:38 20 AprilSir FSt. (QotF BFF NotM) YTTETalk!Read!Sign!Whore!CMC!Pee!
Consider your article nominated: btw, I've learned to never expect my articles to get the nomination, so don't be disappointed if it doesn't make it. Also, don't whore it, everyone (except me) hates that. When you update {{RecentUnNews}}, remember to put it one below mine (mine is newer, slightly), and to erase whatever unnews is the oldest on the list. Thanks, YTTE!   Le Cejak <Apr 20, 2008 [19:44]>
Consider your article nomianted, too. - 08:52 20 AprilSir FSt. (QotF BFF NotM) YTTETalk!Read!Sign!Whore!CMC!Pee!
Cool, thanks YTTE. Remember to add {{VFH}} to the page somewhere, if you would. Like I have said: VFH is not a competition: it's a challenge.   Le Cejak <Apr 20, 2008 [19:55]>
Yesir! Nice talking to you again Cajek. And I reckon I'm not going to succeed...but at least I'll be able to say "this was nominated for VFH!" :D - 09:35 20 AprilSir FSt. (QotF BFF NotM) YTTETalk!Read!Sign!Whore!CMC!Pee!
Definitely, YTTE, and if you have any other questions, feel free to ask, any time. Coolness, and good luck!   Le Cejak <Apr 20, 2008 [20:38]>

Hey it's that doctor that stole my kidney[edit source]

Yeah... I'll give it back eventually...

You're the king of Pee Review, right? You, with the help of some others turned UN:PR around from a total standstill into a well-oiled machine.

So, Cajek, here's an idea. I'm thinking of taking Category:Rewrite and plopping it into UN:PR. Yes. All 196 articles. You see, these articles have been tagged "rewrite," but nobody knows why they have to be rewritten. It's the equivalent of giving a Pee Review with just numbers and no explanation.

The question is, do you think you and your peers pee-ers could handle such a task? I figured I'd ask before I get my ass banned for dumping almost 200 articles into Pee Review. If you do say yes, and I get banned, it's your turn to vouch for me...  Sir Skullthumper, MD (criticize  writings  critchat) 05:13 Apr 22, 2008

/me ignores the slight of being ignored. I can't speak for Cajek, but I while think the queue is ticking over fairly nicely right now, I also think a massive influx could demoralise people seeing it so full again, and have the effect of driving down the number of reviews done. (I remember how few reviews were done last year when the queue was massive, before we got this whole PEEING thing going). Plus it would make it a lot harder to ensure that new requests from people actually working on their articles get picked up and not ignored. I remember last year, pre-PEEING, the thing that started me reviewing was the fact that we had a massive queue and my articles weren't getting looked at. I did 15 reviews before anyone looked at one of mine - many people lose interest if their article isn't reviewed quickly.
Perhaps a change to the rewrite templates might help - telling people if they want to rewrite an article, they can get a pee review to give them ideas on where to start if they like. I'd also recommend putting this on the PEEING talk page to see what others think about it - would they be prepared to do all that extra work when there's no guarantee it will ever be acted on? At least if someone's requested a review specifically it usually means they intend to do something with it, even if it is just a self-nom on VFH! --SirU.U.Esq. VFH | GUN | Natter | Uh oh | Pee 09:13, Apr 22
Very good points. I'm trying to think of a way to break down Category:Rewrite from the massive size it is now, and I'm thinking having some more specific ideas about what to do might encourage some rewrites. But flooding UN:PR isn't the right way to go about it. I need a new idea.  Sir Skullthumper, MD (criticize  writings  critchat) 11:16 Apr 22, 2008
Whoa, interesting idea. I agree that probably all the stuff tagged rewrite is not getting looked at, but I also agree with UU that if the que was suddenly overflowing it might demoralize people. I would say take 10 at a time and put them on PR: is that possible? In all seriousness, I don't want you banned for even 1 second for anything I gave you permission to do!   Le Cejak <Apr 22, 2008 [13:06]>
Just eavesdropping again. I think Skull's got a great idea there. I'm assuming the reviews would then be put on the articles' talk pages? Throw them up there (10 or so at a time) and I'll do what I can to help out -even though I'm not a member of PEEING or anything. -OptyC Sucks! Icons-flag-us.png CUN18:24, 23 Apr

Hey ho, Cajek! I've just dropped by to say: I'd quite like to try my hand, well, not erm, my hand, my er, you know... anyway, at peeing! I'm pretty sure I'm gonna be awful but I'd love to have a go. I think it would be slightly dangerous to release my pee onto the world, so would/could you set up like, I dunno, a practise pee page or something your on user-space or mine (since you're the king of pee review, sorta, I came to you...), on any random article (you could even whore one of your pages to me while you're about it...) and then sort of well, er pee on my pee, if that makes sense... thanks. - 07:29 22 AprilSir FSt. (QotF BFF NotM) YTTETalk!Read!Sign!Whore!CMC!Pee!

I'm presently working on a very long story by the name of Discord which centers around a young investigative reporter who discovers the secrets of the Universe through music, uncovers a life-altering bit of history, and also finds out that his ex-girlfriend is dating a manwhore. So my creative energy is kind of temporarily into mapping that story out, and then I'll be back writin' here. Maybe. I dunno, my stories tend to be long, and my semi-ex-quasi-girlfriend says they drag a bit. I'm still working on tightening up my writing style... besides, though, I hate the license around these parts. I might try to get this stuff published someday, and the license here would ruin that.  Sir Skullthumper, MD (criticize  writings  critchat) 04:40 Apr 25, 2008

That was one hell of a review. Reminds me of one I did for AE one time. And that was an interesting image. Reminds me of next door's cat. Fat bastard, it is. Mind you, it stays off my car - I'm a good shot with a handful of gravel. Oh, and do you still want me to do another image for you, or did my shoddy response time put you off? (If it did, it'll only get worse this weekend, my sister's visiting, so I may run out of excuses to spend time on the PC!) Also, early thanks for the VFH vote (a template will be forthcoming, they usually are) - was there enough international funny amongst the British funny to suit your palate then? In other news, a kid in a Superman outfit just fell over on the street outside the window and grazed his knees. Just goes to show something or other. Finally, have a good weekend. Uncyclopedia:Pee Review/Scat II[edit source]

Ah, may I ask what would have been the score you, HV, and UU would have given? Mightydandylion Icons-flag-us.png (talk) Fk 16:18, 28 April 2008 (UTC)

Well, uh, I don't know about HV and UU, but I think that an AAAAA ripoff is worth less than a 35, IMO. UU is british, and would have given it a 24.864. Heerenveen, similarly, is british, and would have given it a 23.979, only a tad shy of UU's scoh.   Le Cejak <Apr 28, 2008 [16:39]>
Calling it a rip-off does not acknowledge the efforts of the author. Besides, is AAAAA truly the appropriate thing to compare the article to? It's not just ScatScatScat written over and over again: the author deliberately went through the dregs of pop culture to create a neat self-referential anthology. It is an excellent article---perhaps a niche one at that. Mightydandylion Icons-flag-us.png (talk) Fk 16:57, 28 April 2008 (UTC)
but at it's core, isn't it just sound effects?   Le Cejak <Apr 28, 2008 [18:57]>
Reducing something to its most basic elements doesn't mean much: take for example Really Big Tree. Reduce that article to its most basic elements and get rid of all its trappings: isn't it just hyperbole? The difference between Really Big Tree and Scat is that the latter is more forthright in its underlying element. Mightydandylion Icons-flag-us.png (talk) Fk 03:28, 29 April 2008 (UTC)

Well, I see the UnSignpost thing looking all flashy and html-ified with a few interesting links and so forth (maybe updated by Fnoodle), and a few short articles for shits and giggles (by you and I). I would like to say everytime the little short articles are updated, we send it out? (The short articles could be just op-ed pieces about something on Uncyc or Wikis just two paragraphs long, nothing special)   Le Cejak <May 01, 2008 [5:08]>
I don't think it should be any more than weekly, though. Let's plan for Thursdays (not this one); I happen to have a thing for Thursdays. Oh! Random idea! Maybe we can find some of the older articles (via Special:Randompage) and post the goodies in a section of the Uncyclopedia Times (or something). Or if you know of any good websites to link to. Whatever. This is going to be fun, Cajek. But right now I gotta go to bed.  Sir Skullthumper, MD (criticize  writings  critchat) 05:12 May 01, 2008
Okay, I like those ideas. This actually sounds pretty entertaining! See you tomorrow, man.   Le Cejak <May 01, 2008 [5:14]>

Also, thanks for all the help on the article, it really made it better. Thanks! –—Hv (talk) 1/05 15:57

Hey[edit source]

I see you're noodling around with this. What do you think, any good? Thanks for the cleanup by the way, it looks much better now. -OptyC Sucks! Icons-flag-us.png CUN00:54, 2 May

I like the ending. I didn't do that much, just formatting. In almost all of my featured articles, the pics are right aligned. Also, don't start out with a section header. What ideas do you have for expansion on this article?   Le Cejak <May 02, 2008 [0:56]>
Expansion? None. I like it short and sweet. I think if I were to add too much more it would just drive it into the ground and take too long to get to the punchline. Why, did you have some suggestions? -OptyC Sucks! Icons-flag-us.png CUN00:59, 2 May
You're exactly right. I wanted some deletion first, hehe. I would suggest only one or two sections of random swear-words. It gets long in the tooth, in spite of the good ending. You should have a middle that goes into why the town has such bad drivers. You know what I mean?   Le Cejak <May 02, 2008 [1:29]>

Well, when it comes to being proud of something I did, my favorite is The Complete Asshole's Guide to Time Travel, what I've written in it (I don't dislike what was added or anything.). I created the article, most of it is the original stuff I wrote. I guess I'm into sarcastic, smartass kind of humor haha. Help wise, I think for now I'm doing okay :-D. Fanks[edit source]

Thanks for the input in my Pre-Market Economy article. When I first read your review I was like OMG old man Cajek is being too harsh on mai satirez!!!!11!1 but then I saw what you meant and thought damn Cajek knows his stuff with his bajillion articles I hope I have improved on what you said in the review. Also, right now, you are probably the best writer on the site IMO :D (Plus I am just on about 3 months here) --Sir DJ ~ Irreverent OZ! Noobaward.jpg Wotm.jpg Unbooks mousepad.PNG GUN.png 11:48, 2 May 2008 (UTC)

I did get the feeling that you thought I was being harsh. I was trying to be specific in my criticism, and it might have come off as "no no no, you're not funny, here let me help you" which is definitely NOT what I was trying to do. All in all, it was a good article it just needed that push. I'll take a look later today! Glad I helped, "adoptee" DJ, and thank you for your kind words!   Le Cejak <May 02, 2008 [12:38]>

NotM - Thanks[edit source]

SHIZZLE DIZZLE!

Cajek, you there? Come out where I can see you, I come bearing gifts! There you are! You are a VERY clever person. Why? Because you voted for me and helped me become NotM! Well done. Give yourself a pat on the back.

To reward you, I'm giving you a YTTE goodie-bag. It is a collection of YTTE memorabilia I've just pulled out of my pocket...That's one scrumpled piece of paper, a dead slug, three unidentified hairs, a strain of the bird flu virus, a morally ambiguous Olympic torch, two cows and various assorted, unexpected items. Enjoy!

YTTE would also remind you that he's still got a few miracle toothbrushes left. Toothbrushes have so many uses, and these miracles ones are great! Buy one now for a massively reduced price and enjoy their increased ease-of-use feel. 98% of the people studied said their teeth were saved by these total protection tooth brushes! Get your hands on one now!

P.S. Sorry that was so long and rambling, sorry there's no picture. You'll just have to imagine that this is a short, concise, beautiful thank you template. Also I'm hoping I'm not breaking any unspoken rule or etiquette of Uncyclopedia by giving you this thank you template!

from YTTE.

Just...[edit source]

Got Sycamore's second opinion on that article you peed for me. What stood out for me (other than the fact that he thought it was an UnBook?) was that he thought I should expand the ending somewhat, whereas you said (and personally, I think) the snappy ending works better. Left to my own devices, I'd probably mesh the two ideas together and come up with pure crap. You reckon I should expand it Oh, great master? —– Sir Hv » | Talk | Contribs | KUN | UotM | RotM | VFH | Kidney | 17:01, 2 May 2008 (UTC)

Also, have you considered archiving recently? This is like three times bigger than your normal archives... —– Sir Hv » | Talk | Contribs | KUN | UotM | RotM | VFH | Kidney | 18:55, 2 May 2008 (UTC)

Less is more, IMO. You have no problem adding all sorts of little literary description. If you expanded the ending, if would ruin the flow. In fact, you should de-expand. What is that called? Unexpansion? Anyway, your article is less British-y now (thank god), and it's much better. Expansion, no. Clean up, yes. That's just my, the master's, opinion. :)   Le Cejak <May 02, 2008 [18:59]>

Yeah, I worked on multinationalising it somewhat. Thanks again for all the help! —– Sir Hv » | Talk | Contribs | KUN | UotM | RotM | VFH | Kidney | 20:32, 2 May 2008 (UTC)

You recent VFP comment & ban[edit source]

  • First off, I might point out that Uncyclopedia:Ban Patrol is always better than an edit war with an IP. Also, I can't seem to fathom why you would feel the need to comment on a vote that I made on VFP. Of course I don't think that voting against things makes me "cool", and, frankly, I couldn't care less. Voting is never about seeming "cool", that's why important votes (like for leaders of countries and stuff) are secret – so that people won't feel pressured by other's opinions of them. I cast my votes on VFP based on my extremely high standards of image quality, which has lead to many many many against votes. And its never personal. If you havn't got anything nice to say about someone else's opinion why not just not say anything at all, eh? -- The Zombiebaron 00:58, 3 May 2008 (UTC)
Well, not to prolong the issue, but you were the one that basically called me a moron for nominating it. I don't nominate pictures, but from what I can tell, it's an excellent picture that I could never replicate, even if it is just a white picket fence. Let's just drop it, 'kay?   Le Cejak <May 03, 2008 [1:48]>
Umm...what? I can state categorically that I never once called you a "moron" in so many words, and that all of my criticism of the image was just that. However, we should probably drop this issue, before either of us insults an admin for no obvious reason. -- The Zombiebaron 02:00, 3 May 2008 (UTC)
Stillwaters is a douchebag who bans people who don't deserve it because they're gay! Don't think about it, or it'll start making sense. Anyways, FU STILLWATERS! - P.M., WotM, & GUN, Sir Led Balloon Baloon.gif(Tick Tock) (Contribs) 02:07, May 3
Stillwaters? Could this mean that... Surely not. Also, what am I doing on this talk page? Also, why is it that no matter how many pairs of socks a man buys he never appears to have enough? Also, can you start a sentence with also? And I'm sure you can't start a sentence with and. MrN MrN9000SouthParksmall.jpg 02:11, May 3
But there is a way to get five consecutive ands in one sentence and be grammatically correct: "In "fish and chips", should there be hyphens between fish and and and and and chips?" That's not relevant, I just like it. --SirU.U.Esq. VFH | GUN | Natter | Uh oh | Pee 07:40, May 3

CMC[edit source]

Welcome Cajek to the Glorious Cow Moo Cult!

You're in, you clearly fit these requirements and the Cows, obviously, smile upon you. You are currently a "Mud Grunt" by rank. Now the good bit: you can officially put this template wherever you want on your userpage or talk page and can add "Mgr." to the beginning of your signature, if you wish.

Promoting the CMC is always good, considering at the moment we're barely even tiny on Uncyclopedia. If you can refer users to sign up, consider yourself promoted. In time you'll move up the ranks anyway. Occasionally you'll have to put a little bit of work in here and there, but only a little bit... For the moment all you really need to do is watchlist this page. Your main task, however, is CONVERTING THE COWLESS. Have a quick read of this before you start and conversion processes. If you help swell the CMC ranks, it's likely you'll get a promotion!

I'm happy to answer any questions here. Oh and it's advised you read these (loose) rules. You are now one of the few with the Cows on your side.

Let the moo be with you!
Moo moo moo mo mooo moo!

There you go. - 08:18 3 May Sir FSt. (QotF BFF NotM) YTTETalk!Read!Sign!Whore!CMC!Pee!

Evil[edit source]

So I was gonna pee review "Evil," but I got beaten to the punch. I still want to slap down some ideas.

  1. It would be funnier if these evil characters weren't in prison while being reviewed. A criminal mastermind wreaking havoc on the world is much funnier than a criminal mastermind bitching about the parole board.
  2. Cthulu should be both evil and basically incomprehensible. Don't have him sit down and give "man on the street" quotes. This is a creature who is going to kill death, arise from R'Lyeh, devour the world, and consume the souls of the living!! Have a look at this flowchart for ideas.
  3. Similarly, Skynet doesn't play well as a goofy schoolgirl. Interviewing Skynet at the height of its evil, and receiving fragments of mechanical-sounding (if not particularly logical) fragments, could be much funnier.
  4. I think it would be pretty hilarious to interview characters who merely aspire to be evil, but are only somewhat clownish - characters like Skeletor, or Cobra Commander, or Professor Chaos.
  5. It might also be funny to interview real-life people frequently perceived as evil, like Dick Cheney or Tonya Harding or Mike Tyson.

Those are my ideas. I hope you enjoyed them. --Hyperbole 22:20, 3 May 2008 (UTC)

I'm not so sure that wreaking havoc is funnier than them just sitting down and giving their opinion. I like number three though! Thank you, Hyperbole!   Le Cejak <May 03, 2008 [22:29]>

There's a fine line[edit source]

...between doing something to get people to think about things, and actually trying to sway them to your side. The first causes discussion. The second has the potential to cause serious drama. Back off a lil', kay?  Sir Skullthumper, MD (criticize  writings  critchat) 23:39 May 05, 2008
