You've been here since 2005, right?
Yeah, could you do me a favour and check this article I'm working on (a rw of The Uncyclopedia Movie) for general historical inaccuracies, or rather the Origins section through to Re-recovery. It documents/parodies Uncyclopedia's earlier years, and I'd hate to present an inaccurate depiction of them. EpicAwesomeness (talk) 17:09, June 24, 2012 (UTC)
- It seems fairly accurate. Some of the depiction of what Uncyclopedia was like in the early days seem a bit too derogatory: we weren't over run with vandals and shitty articles back in those days, we just had much lower standards for quality. Also you may want to note that Uncyclopedia was bought by Wikicities (the predecessor to Wikia). But all in all, looks like a good article. -- The Zombiebaron 17:28, June 24, 2012 (UTC)
- Thanks. EpicAwesomeness (talk) 07:56, June 25, 2012 (UTC)
Quick question
Zombiebaron, do you consider yourself an "editor-in-chief" or "wiki director/chairman"? -- 22:53, June 25, 2012 (UTC)
- He's more of an undead duke, or a reanimated earl. --
- Then whoever's a bureaucrat (14 total, active: Rcmurphy, TKF and Zombie) would be essentially chairmen. Anyone I missed? -- 01:56, June 26, 2012 (UTC)
- Mhaille sometimes makes edits. But yes, you are correct in assuming that I am king of Uncyclopedia. -- The Zombiebaron 15:14, June 26, 2012 (UTC)

Wikia Email
Okay, so I went to check my gmail inbox a few minutes ago, and I found an email saying Lyrithya had deleted the main page. I don't know what happened, but I would certainly like to find out. For the time being, I still trust her (i'm assuming it's a her...i have seen some debate on the subject). Here's a screenshot of the email:

- Because you're an admin and said in the above message that you are king of Uncyclopedia, so i'm assuming you would be the one to ask :) --Teh Penis Guy 8==> (Ask My Dick A Question) 16:27, June 26, 2012 (UTC)
- If you look at the onsite logs (here) you will see that Lyrithya did indeed delete the Main Page. I'm still not sure what the question you are asking me is though. -- The Zombiebaron 17:24, June 27, 2012 (UTC)

- Why would Lyrithya huff the Main Page... again? And BieberAxeKiller, just so you know, your signature can't be over 15px high. I've fixed it for you, but just for next time.... -- 21:34, June 26, 2012 (UTC)
New policy page
I created Uncyclopedia:Don't recreate deleted text based on consensus that recreating deleted content is annoying to administrators. I feel that all policies and guidelines should be written down somewhere (not just in an obscure Village Dump forum where nobody will find it), and this one is particularly important for new users to know about. Just put {{policy}} at the top if you approve. -- 17:29, June 28, 2012 (UTC)
- Ok I added a {{policy}} tag to your page. However, I feel the page is redundant. Not recreating deleted content has been site policy since 2005. I'm fairly sure it is already codified somewhere (such as on the warning that appears when you try to recreate recently deleted content). So really, it's not that there was "consensus" so much as "it was already a policy". -- The Zombiebaron 17:46, June 28, 2012 (UTC)
- Okay... I don't think it's redundant because vanity is codified in the same interface message and it's documented here. -- 17:52, June 28, 2012 (UTC)
Mr Zobie
While it is very appreciated that someone put up a banner for the retro week thing, there are already a lot of nominations and the PLS is still going on. It might be better to wait until a couple days after the announcement of the scores, until the banner for retro week is there. There is still lots of time for nominations and voting. What do you think? --ShabiDOO 03:02, June 29, 2012 (UTC)
- I totally agree. -- The Zombiebaron 05:49, June 29, 2012 (UTC)
- I dismissed the banner so I can't see if you took it down or not...which you probably did...as you should. Remember that vicious sound dial up modems used to make? Does it also haunt you in your dreams where you're a James Bond character who can pilot a heat resistant helicopter into a vulcano? --ShabiDOO 07:19, June 29, 2012 (UTC)
- Yeah. -- The Zombiebaron 14:44, June 29, 2012 (UTC)

PLS
Zombie, I had reviewed all of the articles and I had my scores ready, I had written a couple paragraphs on each article on my userspace and only needed to write one more sentence (its all there). This is twice now that I have done the work and then been replaced at the last minute without any warning or notice. --ShabiDOO 22:43, July 2, 2012 (UTC)
- While I do appreciate your efforts, the fact that this is the second time you have been replaced last minute means that you did have a warning that this would happen. If you had mentioned on the judging page that your judging was nearly done I would have waited for you instead of replacing you, but based on information I had it seemed like you had abandoned your post and needed replacing. -- The Zombiebaron 22:55, July 2, 2012 (UTC)
- Or you could remind your judges to get their scores in, especially if you want to wrap up the competition one day ahead of time. You can give your judges the chance to hand in their marks. You replaced me 25 hours before the judging is oficcialy over. Im sorry Zombie...this time around its not cool. --ShabiDOO 23:13, July 2, 2012 (UTC)

I need help
I need your help in choosing between three signature designs:
Or, should I just go with my previous one? Thanks! -- 23:18, July 13, 2012 (UTC)
- My advice is that you change your sig to just be the letter Q. -- The Zombiebaron 02:01, July 14, 2012 (UTC)
- Yes...a really obvious q that doesn't really look like a q. --ShabiDOO 02:07, July 14, 2012 (UTC)
- A "Q"?
Are you nuts?My original idea was for the Zekrom pic to be the centerpiece, kind of like Magic Man's sig. -- 02:14, July 14, 2012 (UTC)- Yeah, you asked for my advice and my advice is don't use the Zekrom pic. If you're going to use a picture at all (not sure why you'd want to), I'd recommend using one of John de Lancie. -- The Zombiebaron 02:18, July 14, 2012 (UTC)
- That → ← is probably what you're talking about. It emulates Chief's sig, actually. -- 02:30, July 14, 2012 (UTC)
- No. I'm talking about John de Lancie. -- The Zombiebaron 02:34, July 14, 2012 (UTC)

- But User:Qzekrom/sig6 isn't a plain signature without images. Perhaps you should spend less time making signatures and more time writing articles. -- The Zombiebaron 02:50, July 14, 2012 (UTC)
- I never understood what that image in your sig is. It looks like a cross between an airplane and a space shuttle. If you need any ideas for article topics, let me know...I always have lots of article ideas for other users. --ShabiDOO 03:02, July 14, 2012 (UTC)

FFW '12?
When is Forest Fire Week going to happen? I think we should call it "2012 FFW Games" in defiance of some new British law concerning the Olympics. -- 01:58, July 19, 2012 (UTC)
- I agree that we need to have a FFW '12. I am, however, currently too busy with other responsibilities to run it. You should find an admin with some spare time and get them to organize it. -- The Zombiebaron 03:40, July 19, 2012 (UTC)
- Can we community vote on it? I'm leaning more toward not having one myself, and a few people have expressed indignation at the last one we had in various places. Besides, with the increasing use of {{Fix}} and correct use of {{ICU}}, as well as patrolling changes, we seem to be getting better at cleaning up after ourselves, in my opinion, which just shows the correct level of humility and insouciance. Nominally Humane! 05:02 19 Jul
- Well yes, part of organizing a PLS is having a community vote to determine if we even want one. -- The Zombiebaron 05:17, July 19, 2012 (UTC)

- I'd prefer if we didn't have it this year, and if there wasn't even a vote on it. Last time, the ridiculous amount of drama over it was directly or indirectly responsible for at least three people leaving, and several others having PTSD and being perpetually pissed-off at even the thought of FFW. And then there was the issue of people not using the tag properly (including me). If we ever have it again, there have to be some rule changes, including disallowing people who have been on the site six months or less. (You know, like that newb Bizzeebeever). ~ Thu, Jul 19 '12 9:53 (UTC)

Leave my archive alone
I had a similar issue recently. The concern for the editor was that they didn't want their user-name coming up in searches leading back to the site. What I was thinking is changing {{Archive}} so that <includeonly>[[Category:Archives|{{NAMESPACE}}:{{PAGENAME}}]]</includeonly>
reads as <includeonly>__NOINDEX__ [[Category:Archives|{{NAMESPACE}}:{{PAGENAME}}]]</includeonly>
. That resolves the user's (main) concern but means we can keep archives as accurate archives. Whatcha thunk? Nominally Humane! 04:58 19 Jul

Request from IP/banned user
Hey. I said I'd pass this on, so I am. I'm going to delete them on the mirror site - it won't hurt the site at all as far as I'm concerned. On this site, however, it's an admin call. Personally I think he's over-reacting, which I've said in a roundabout way, but it's minimal effort to just delete a couple of pages. Nominally Humane! 02:06 20 Jul

- Impossible. To do that would require a major rewrite of Mediawiki software, and as the attribution for edits is a significant issue under NC-BY-CC-SA, it's so unlikely to be done it's not funny. You could try Special:Contact and ask for it, but I can already tell you it's a snowball's chance in hell they'll say yes. On the plus side, "Mowgli" is a name from "Jungle Book", and as there are very few identifiers linking it back to you as an individual, the likelihood that anyone will link you to that account is slim. If you remember your log in, you can remove the list of "pages I'm following" from your UP using preferences, or outright delete your watchlist.
