Do you think Hairy ball theorem will get featured?[edit source]

It's 3 and 0 right now. --General of All Branches of the Military and the Head of the State Police Eric (talk) 23:43, October 24, 2012 (UTC)

Kamek, the threshold used to be 10 For votes, back when there was anyone on this website. I am baffled at why Romartus is avoiding the vote on my nice rewrite. Of course, Socky seems to think that the result is too off-putting, with the initial half-sentence sporked from Wikipedia, and Romartus might too. And I am baffled at why you began this section on an archive of Romartus's talk page rather than the real thing. Spıke ¬ 02:29 25-Oct-12
The article is on my radar. I didn't want to rush it! --Laurels.gifRomArtus*Imperator ® (Orate) 05:48, October 25, 2012 (UTC)
I don't why I put it on his archive lol. Sorry. --General of All Branches of the Military and the Head of the State Police Eric (talk) 19:21, October 26, 2012 (UTC)

Censoring drawings and diagrams[edit source]

Sadly, I was right about at least one drawing. I am reverting it since it is on Sannse's list on the Village Dump, but I don't have the ability to remove old versions. -- Simsilikesims(♀UN) Talk here. 23:46, October 25, 2012 (UTC)

OK. I will look for a different drawing to illustrate the same joke as a censored version will look weird. --Laurels.gifRomArtus*Imperator ® (Orate) 23:49, October 25, 2012 (UTC)
It would be easier to crop the original or re-write the picture caption to mention the censorship. --Laurels.gifRomArtus*Imperator ® (Orate) 13:17, October 26, 2012 (UTC)

Sandbox[edit source]

Romartus, can you check my sandbox page? Tell me your opinion (only about the first article), please.--Icons-flag-gr.png Sir SinnerSandbox (¿?) 10:50, October 27, 2012 (UTC)

I added a wikipedia link and his birth/death dates. I admit, my knowledge as regards Japanese history is a bit limited. You have made a solid start here. When you have finished it, I will give it a Pee Review. --Laurels.gifRomArtus*Imperator ® (Orate) 11:07, October 27, 2012 (UTC)
OK, thanks. I believe it's gonna be my best creation so far. Anyway, how does Pee Review works??--Icons-flag-gr.png Sir SinnerSandbox (¿?) 11:10, October 27, 2012 (UTC)
Put it here UN:PEE. --Laurels.gifRomArtus*Imperator ® (Orate) 11:23, October 27, 2012 (UTC)

I touched up the How to become an Assassin article[edit source]

What do you reckon? http://en.uncyclopedia.co/wiki/HowTo:Become_an_Assassin?vfhlink=HowTo%3ABecome_an_Assassin_(2nd_nomination)--~Leverage 19:44, October 30, 2012 (UTC)

I can see you have done some work but the structure of the article is still a bit loose in my view. Since it is a 'HowTo' rather than an article about assassins in general, the story should concentrate there. The names at the end could be dropped as examples how not to do it unless you really wanted to be caught. They are called Herostratics. --Laurels.gifRomArtus*Imperator ® (Orate) 20:50, October 30, 2012 (UTC)

Paul Ryan on VFH[edit source]

It is hardly unanimous, though half the opposition might be to the man more than the article. However, it should go up this weekend or not at all as, win or lose, on Wednesday this article will become patently unremarkable. Spıke ¬ 21:23 2-Nov-12

It was too short of the line I am afraid. I featured Corn instead as that was closest to 10. --Laurels.gifRomArtus*Imperator ® (Orate) 00:41, November 3, 2012 (UTC)

Very well, thanks. By the way, New Hampshire is back to normal after "Sandy" except for 2,000 soggy souls at the end of long roads. "Mine is a short one." Spıke ¬ 00:44 3-Nov-12

How did Corn get featured ahead of the assassin and hairy ball articles? They both got more votes (9 or 9.5 vs 8).--~Leverage 10:31, November 3, 2012 (UTC)
You are quite right! Yes, Corn only got 8 positive votes, I forgot to minus the no votes in that total. Well in my defence it was very late for me when I noticed nothing had been queued up for Saturday. I will let Corn stay featured as that was my mistake. --Laurels.gifRomArtus*Imperator ® (Orate) 11:23, November 3, 2012 (UTC)
No problem, it's no big deal, I was just a bit surprised. Are you American? We shouldn't let you guys count things in November ;-) --~Leverage 12:04, November 3, 2012 (UTC)
Do the Math? No, I am not American. I am an Old Blightonian. --Laurels.gifRomArtus*Imperator ® (Orate) 12:31, November 3, 2012 (UTC)
Leverage, I believe the United Nations is coming to count our votes. (An UnNews, anyone?) Happily, unlike in Venezuela, Jimmy Carter will not be certifying the results. Spıke ¬ 13:09 3-Nov-12

Is this draft acceptable to post?[edit source]

Hello. I am writing to you about a draft of mine. As it is about my school, I am apprehensive about posting it. I have received advice from Bizzeebeever (bottom of page) and Snippy, and bb said to ask someone else about it. The url of the draft is http://en.uncyclopedia.co/wiki/User:Equilateralperil/Drafts

I would appreciate it if you informed me of anything that needs changing/removal. Thank you

Equilateralperil (talk) 14:05, November 5, 2012 (UTC)

I had a look at your article. It falls into a category which is usually described as 'town cruft/college cruft/etc' in that the joke is about a place or people that no one else is going to understand unless they have gone to there. It is a bit subjective sometimes as it can depend on the size or significance of a place. For example, an article about Harvard or Oxford universities would be fine, though that would depend if it was actually funny. I am not sure why having Michael Schumacher as the head of the school is funny but considering his driving this year for Mercedes Grand Prix he was best advised to stay retired. You could mainspace your article but there is a chance that when we have a regular trawl looking for articles that are not funny it could get deleted on the grounds of obscurity. --Laurels.gifRomArtus*Imperator ® (Orate) 14:59, November 5, 2012 (UTC)
I looked at it too and concur. It seems torn between telling a serious story and telling jokes that assume you are enrolled there. It has way too much detail for the rest of us (the signature colors of each residence hall?) and a bit too much gap between the jokes. The list of sports is tedious; making something like this twice as long doesn't make it twice as funny. It might belong in mainspace, but with more attention paid to the comedy needs of the non-student. No one can do this but the author. (Personal disclosure: I am maintaining one piece of college cruft against Anons who are enrolled there: Michigan Tech.) Spıke ¬ 15:31 5-Nov-12

Thanks to both of you for reading. I will change/omit the head of the school and the motto, and my references to one of the campuses as the "Little Freakin' Learning Centre" and to one of the house's "[reputations] for winning", as they are examples of the obscure humour that you have explained above to be not suitable to Uncyclopedia. I will also remove the "Co-curricular Activities" section, which is silly, and remove the house colours from the table. I tried to resist the urge to make the article wholly esoteric when writing it, but evidently I haven't entirely succeeded. Also, based on what Bizzeebeever and Snippy said about the article (links in my first post above), I'm hoping that I could have done a lot worse. To be honest, the contrast between what they said and what you have both said surprised me, but I understand completely why you have said it. Regardless, I think it goes without saying that I regret the decision I made yesterday to write about my school. I will only mainspace the article after the aforementioned editing, making changes to try and ensure that the article is suitable for non-students, and then again asking you.

Equilateralperil (talk) 16:43, November 5, 2012 (UTC)

Good grief! don't regret anything. The worst that will happen to you here, wherever the article winds up, is a useful learning experience regarding writing for total strangers. Spıke ¬ 17:08 5-Nov-12
No need to regret anything EP. If you get stuck on an article, start another one in your user space. Write about something not covered here or improve an article that is in need of work. Something I do all the time. --Laurels.gifRomArtus*Imperator ® (Orate) 18:02, November 5, 2012 (UTC)

Unlocking[edit source]

Romartus, on the most recent email I sent to you, I requested that you please unlock my userpages so that I can make the necessary (and possibly final) edits to resolve the issue of hiatus-ing. This edit will not involve a redirect.

Well, I made the next move (acquisitions and idiosyncracies) and removed {{WIP}}. The biggest remaining omission now is regarding his TV shows, which I have never seen. 13:38 Never mind; I did The Apprentice and its spin-offs, and the only thing needed now is whatever flourishes you might add. Aimsplode reborn[edit source]

Actually....I have decided to resume my Uncyclopedia activities under a new hat - Narco†→»X§. A redirect from my old page has been added and it redirects to User:Narco†→»X§.

I am in the process of making a new sig and revamping my account and it's features. Stay tuned. A redirct will also be added from my old talk page to my new one, just a heads up. I'd like to hear any suggestions. --User:Aimsplode/sigx1 22:58, November 9, 2012 (UTC)

Bet you wouldn't. Spıke ¬ 23:14 9-Nov-12
Wouldn't what, Spike? AimsplodeL A B O R A T O R I E S 00:20, November 10, 2012 (UTC)
Wouldn't appreciate my suggestion: that such navel-gazing attention to your new incarnation makes it supremely unlikely that it will produce any more amusing new mainspace content than under the old identity. A constant user name is a useful thing; it lets us relate contributions to a history that we know, blemishes, bans and all. Frequent name changes is fundamentally an attempt to run away from facts, no matter what you claim you had in mind. Be who you were. No one is fooled. Spıke ¬ 01:11 10-Nov-12
Aimsplode. You were banned before for messing around. I have had enough of your disruptive activity. You were offered the chance to close an account down and return as a new user but instead you want to stick redirects around and confuse people you want to talk to. You asked for your pages to be unlocked to tidy up but you have done the reverse. You know what happens next. --Laurels.gifRomArtus*Imperator ® (Orate) 12:56, November 10, 2012 (UTC)
I have relocked your user page/discussion page for Aimsplode and your new false account. If you want to carry on here, log in as Narcot or whatever. You're within a gnat's kneecap of a permanent ban. --Laurels.gifRomArtus*Imperator ® (Orate) 13:14, November 10, 2012 (UTC)
Gnats have kneecaps?....never mind. I have decided to stay under the hat of Aimsplode, so my pages will need to be unlocked, again...because they're going to actually be used. Also unlock the alias's pages so I can QVFD them, or you can just huff them, which is easier. AimsplodeL A B O R A T O R I E S 14:04, November 10, 2012 (UTC)

Banning people based on their usernames[edit source]

Hey Romartus, I was wondering why you banned this user based on his username. I thought we came to an understanding in September. None of Sir Dunglickers edits are in any way malicious, and instead clearly resemble the edits of a new user experimenting with adding content to our site. -- The Zombiebaron 06:59, November 15, 2012 (UTC)

It wasn't the name but he called himself 'Sir Dunglicker' which I understand you can only do if you have an article featured. Dunglicker by itself was fine. --Laurels.gifRomArtus*Imperator ® (Orate) 08:21, November 15, 2012 (UTC)
I hadn't noticed I had banned him for an infinite time. That was the mistake. Should have been one day. --Laurels.gifRomArtus*Imperator ® (Orate) 08:22, November 15, 2012 (UTC)
Not calling yourself Sir unless you have a featured article is part of the signature policy. And banning somebody forever instead for just one day is a HUGE mistake, especially with the site in state it is currently in. -- The Zombiebaron 08:35, November 15, 2012 (UTC)

VfH[edit source]

Fakehater[edit source]

Fakehater (talk) – contribs (newdel)edit-countblock (remlist)all logsgroupscheckuser just retired one of my articles from the VfH (which you had deigned to leave) and voted for about 12 articles in his first hour of activity. Is that iffy or am I getting suspicious in my old Noobyness? --~Leverage 19:17, November 20, 2012 (UTC)

In his very brief life he has done more than vote (see Pratt Korp); he has applied a flurry of changes from the good (spelling corrections) to the bad (Americanize spelling to articles written or edited by a Brit) to the ugly (insertion of not bad, but possibly random, adjectives). Spıke ¬ 20:13 20-Nov-12
PS--He voted For on 10 articles on VFH and Against on 6. That is not suspicious as in vendetta. It is at most monopolizing the punch bowl after crashing the party. However, depending on how it is reacted to, we risk driving away another competent user of the English language. Spıke ¬ 20:36 20-Nov-12
I will leave a message on his talk page. See what happens. It is that or asking Wikia for checkuser. Some of the voting does look suspiciously rapid for a noob. --Laurels.gifRomArtus*Imperator ® (Orate) 20:38, November 20, 2012 (UTC)
Cool, I agree with Spike, it's not in our interest to drive away possibly useful new users. It just surprised me that a noobie would know/take it upon himself to retire an article and even make a typical pun about why it didn't get featured, but maybe that kind of knowledge and front is possible if he has used other Wikia pages, I don't know these things. --~Leverage 22:09, November 20, 2012 (UTC)

Having said that about his tech knowledge, he just voted for the article of mine he retired! LOL. A weird one. --~Leverage 22:11, November 20, 2012 (UTC)

Indeed, some of his votes have included specific comments. Leverage, how does a voter "retire" a nomination from VFH? Please include links in your messages in case readers want specifics. Spıke ¬ 11:30 21-Nov-12

What I meant by "retired" was that the nom was put into "recently failed". It now says the nom was closed by Snippy, but when I first noticed it was gone I believe it said Fakehater had closed it. http://en.uncyclopedia.co/wiki/Uncyclopedia:VFH/Failed - specifically the Lance Armstrong story. As with the votes, I have no problem with the user's action (see the first post in this thread, it was one of the old stories I referred to) but it just seemed curiously active and adept for someone´s first hour on the site. --~Leverage 12:15, November 21, 2012 (UTC)

The history of that page shows that Romartus marked it as failed, then some hours later, Snippy exercised the "poopsmithing" function of moving it to the Failed list (or corrected a Romartus omission). You may have seen Fakehater's change first, without reading exactly what his change was. He didn't close out the nomination; in fact, he did not even have the evil sophistication to avoid voting on a nomination that had already been closed. Spıke ¬ 12:26 21-Nov-12
PS--Fakehater is now doing some authentic patrol of Anons on RecentChanges. Haven't studied his record in its entirety, but he could qualify for Autopatrolled soon. Spıke ¬ 00:40 23-Nov-12
Thanks Spike. I noticed Fakehater hasn't responded to my message on the talk page. I want my suspicions laid to rest. --Laurels.gifRomArtus*Imperator ® (Orate) 07:07, November 23, 2012 (UTC)

Koch Brothers on VFH[edit source]

Please prepare to yank this nomination. The languishing discussion (though the website is also languishing) suggests that the page is not suitably long. But I am not inclined to fluff it up, as it addresses everything the average reader knows about the secretive Brothers, as the only time their name is used is by Democrats claiming they lead Republicans by the nostrils, and touches the full range of controversy exposed by the Wikipedia article. For a page like this, injecting Randumbo is not a solution either. Spıke ¬ 12:52 20-Nov-12

It hasn't got to a negative 3 so I think you're being a bit premature regards the votes unless you want to take it away and edit/improve more. I can see of the 'brothers' (the 'Right Brothers') angle here so I would like to see if it gets more voter traction. --Laurels.gifRomArtus*Imperator ® (Orate) 13:22, November 20, 2012 (UTC)
The Coke Brothers? Cola or Pepsi? --Laurels.gifRomArtus*Imperator ® (Orate) 13:24, November 20, 2012 (UTC)

Very well. Again, I think it is the right length right now, or at least seizing on a superficial aspect such as "brothers" (although I do exactly this in the See Also) wouldn't work. And I do make a Coca-Cola joke at the start. Spıke ¬ 13:27 20-Nov-12

PS--Thank you for your, um, faith; and I have done more study; Wikipedia being Wikipedia, each tentacle of the Koch octopus has an article. Thus I have found a couple new directions in which to tug this effort. Spıke ¬ 17:04 20-Nov-12

The article could benefit from an initial quote. Romartus, can you improve on this?

“Bartender, I think I might like to such a Koch”

I have thrown some in. Weak puns perhaps...--Laurels.gifRomArtus*Imperator ® (Orate) 12:02, November 21, 2012 (UTC)

Thanks, and thanks for the links too. But I'll delete the "Wright" quote, as it explains a joke, and before it is even told. Spıke ¬ 12:14 21-Nov-12

No probs. --Laurels.gifRomArtus*Imperator ® (Orate) 12:52, November 21, 2012 (UTC)

Opinion?[edit source]

Can you give me your opinion on Romance of the Three Kingdoms?--SirPeasewhizzdeNewYork Click here to talk 20:48, November 23, 2012 (UTC)

Thanks for the link. Checking your story and the wikipedia link, I have to ask one question. Is 'turbin' a mispelling for turban or did you mean 'turbine'? Also the story does rely on a reader following a lot of unfamiliar names - my knowledge of Asian history in general is largely restricted to a few dynastic names (Ming, Sung etc) or a couple of individuals, like Genghiz Khan and Kublai Khan. So makes some of the jokes obscure. The use of anarchronisms is fine but then I wondered how much is this is in the 'game' and how much comes from the actual history of the event. I wasn't sure since you start off describing what I think is a game but then I don't see that element returning in the main story. A good example of using a game/real event in my view was this one All Quiet on the Western Front. Saying all this, your article is well set out and runs pretty well in my view. A few tweaks and perhaps some of the ideas that don't go anywhere (Arnold Schwarzenegger reference in my view) and you will have it. --Laurels.gifRomArtus*Imperator ® (Orate) 11:08, November 24, 2012 (UTC)

Isle of Man[edit source]

Am having a difficult evening with new user Lost-interest, which I am on the verge of making even worse after complaining on his talk page. Please keep an eye on the situation. Spıke ¬ 01:16 25-Nov-12

I checked the history of the page and this user. Lost-interest first appeared here in 2009 and created the Isle of Man article. No other contributions to any other article. I have locked the page for now until Lost-interest leaves a message. --Laurels.gifRomArtus*Imperator ® (Orate) 21:14, November 25, 2012 (UTC)

Maybe that's excessive, but it will wear off in a week anyway. After I wrote you, and undid most of his work (Simsilikesims had already rolled him back to the evening's Anon, though they are surely the same person), he got one edit in that was not war, and may have seen that I saw it. Later I found a way to readd his photo of Mark Cavendish rather than just assert that he is an inbred cock etc. Spıke ¬ 21:32 25-Nov-12

Actually he didn't create it, re-checked the history again. I thought I had reached the oldest page but was incorrect. --Laurels.gifRomArtus*Imperator ® (Orate) 21:40, November 25, 2012 (UTC)

Yup, it seems to have been trashed and un-trashed repeatedly over its long life. Most of the trashing has been by IP (why am I seeing a group of teens in a booth at a Manx pub with a laptop?) and perhaps in the long term it wants to be restricted to Autoconfirmed. Spıke ¬ 21:52 25-Nov-12

PS--Thanks for that change--what do you think about making that protection level permanent? And Lost-interest and I have kissed and made up on his talk page. Spıke ¬ 23:19 25-Nov-12

OK I will unlock it now but leave it semi-protected. --Laurels.gifRomArtus*Imperator ® (Orate) 23:26, November 25, 2012 (UTC)

I don't see where this fits in or what exactly you are doing. So until you decide, I am moving it there. --Laurels.gifRomArtus*Imperator ® (Orate) 12:53, November 27, 2012 (UTC)

Mr. Ex, I personally think the newspaper columns of Paul Krugman reflect "laughably" bad economics (and his is not fanart but paid commentary), but it would not be humor but jaunty ridicule for me to try to get other Uncyclopedians to laugh at them, and I would certainly not import an entire column verbatim to try to achieve that effect. Spıke ¬ 14:40 27-Nov-12

I am intrigued. Who is the anti-Krugman in this debate? --Laurels.gifRomArtus*Imperator ® (Orate) 15:41, November 27, 2012 (UTC)
No one is; I introduced Krugman as an analogy to show a separate problem with this type of "humor." Spıke ¬ 15:46 27-Nov-12

Well, what do you know, your cartoon--in fact, your entire subpage--or perhaps it was your Change Summary, since wikia isin't going to stop us yet... now does seem to have got their attention. Spıke ¬ 19:29 27-Nov-12

Bullshit Mountain[edit source]

I see you tagged this piece (which is not unrelated to my Paul Krugman analogy above). I challenged the author on his talk page, to which he replied by blanking his talk page, one section at a time. Have I driven away another? Spıke ¬ 14:43 27-Nov-12

A Shy Guy. Don't think so. Like the idea of that article though since it is a truism in a more general sense. --Laurels.gifRomArtus*Imperator ® (Orate) 15:17, November 27, 2012 (UTC)

But, just like the previous subject, it is not "Let me make you laugh with my writing" but "Let's laugh together at how dumb I think this guy/institution is." Spıke ¬ 15:26 27-Nov-12

Green ink[edit source]

This is now begun with {{Construction}}, and thank you for the "assignment." I call in the Change Summary for anyone to insert a standing order to make all the text green. (In fact, the background ought to look like parchment.) You are also welcome to add photos, notably of the tinfoil hat; if you leave it to me, it will wait until tonight, when I move from my metered cell-phone Internet back to the WiFi-equipped gymnasium (where the on-the-court action is disappointing this year, most of the championship team having graduated last summer). Spıke ¬ 12:43 28-Nov-12

That works as a good intro Spike. Then examples written in the style of an obsessive? --Laurels.gifRomArtus*Imperator ® (Orate) 13:48, November 28, 2012 (UTC)

That is the obvious direction in which to take it, or end it--perhaps too obvious. At the moment, I am writing History, using Wikipedia to see how many directions it can be taken. Spıke ¬ 14:00 28-Nov-12

Well, it's done except for illustrations. I figured out how to use green ink (copying the article Silver). Used British spelling, of course; however, Section 4, on popular current conspiracy theories, is US-centric because I don't know what the current analogs are there, so feel free to add a couple. I don't like External Links but felt compelled to point to your citation from tigerpens.co.uk as an UnNews would list its Source. "For further study" is indeed written in the style of an obsessive. Spıke ¬ 16:27 28-Nov-12

PS--I changed the caption on one of your fine illustrations. Bizzeebeever came in later and changed all your [Image: to be [File:. I've seen this change made before; evidently photos are in the File: namespace and there is no advantage to specifying [Image:. Spıke ¬ 22:49 28-Nov-12

I've read somewhere that "Image:" is a deprecated namespace. I have no idea what that means, but it sounds bad. :D  ~ BB ~ (T) Icons-flag-us.pngWed, Nov 28 '12 23:21 (UTC)
I have been using 'image' for the last four years. I had noticed other writers had used 'file' instead so thought it was 6 of 12 and half a dozen of the other (i.e. no practical difference). --Laurels.gifRomArtus*Imperator ® (Orate) 08:57, November 29, 2012 (UTC)

"For further study" now has an extra helping of paranoia--but, like the Examples section, contains a lot of US-centric data in a supposedly British article. You are welcome to moderate the paranoia and/or put this section in character. Spıke ¬ 13:37 29-Nov-12

Assembly language[edit source]

I listed this article on VFD in June after watching it be edited by Daniel Santos and, before it could get more than one other vote, decided to rewrite it and the vote was called off. Santos has visited the site for the first time since that date, reverted my rewrite, and explained on Talk:Assembly language why his version is "funnier." It includes "jokes" such as using EAX, a processor register, in a program written for a different processor. He criticizes my much shorter example in an even older assembly language he doesn't understand, and complains that my jokes about Linus Torvalds misstate the record. I would say his discussion proves he has no sense of humor and my impulse is to revert, but decided to kick it upstairs to you first. Spıke ¬ 22:28 5-Dec-12

PS--I present my counterargument to him at Talk:Assembly language. Spıke ¬ 23:00 5-Dec-12

I have replied at length on the talk page. I don't want anyone to start a revert war. I saw there was a tag recommending a rewrite and I have added one about lack of illustrations/photos. --Laurels.gifRomArtus*Imperator ® (Orate) 09:42, December 6, 2012 (UTC)

The war is joined (though there is no rush), as I can't collaborate with someone for whom a typical "humor" goal is to show that code in a certain language has a perverse side-effect. Our audiences are drastically different, and I claim that his is himself. Spıke ¬ 10:05 6-Dec-12

It was a suggestion. You could always write your own version of the same subject which I think is ok if it has a different emphasis or twist. --Laurels.gifRomArtus*Imperator ® (Orate) 10:16, December 6, 2012 (UTC)

Bizzeebeever evidently concurs with me on the merits of the two versions. Your attempt to minister to the latest version unfortunately implies endorsement. Santos, if past history is predictive, will go away for another six months and react similarly when he returns. A solution would be to let the Santos version live under a different name, though I will immediately list it on VFD because it isn't funny. Spıke ¬ 16:24 8-Dec-12

Sorry, missed the stuff on the talk-page. Hope I didn't start a war. ~ BB ~ (T) Icons-flag-us.pngSat, Dec 8 '12 16:32 (UTC)

To be clear, Romartus: There are two versions at that name. Mine was developed during VFD this summer, Santos reverted after a long absence, and Bizzeebeever has just restored mine with a post-edit. I am satisfied with this outcome, and Santos is not likely to be. Spıke ¬ 17:26 8-Dec-12

I have one for wikia does that work on this site to?~

Why do i need a account for this?? 74.215.241.104 02:07, December 10, 2012 (UTC)

Given his timezone, the Big R may have retired for the night. I believe that, although we are technically a possession of Wikia, we do not have a Customs Union and you do need a separate username to log in here. Believe me, all the good ones are taken. As for why you need an account, you can edit most pages without one, but you are subject to more scrutiny and we won't waste a lot of time trying to communicate to you, any more than we would a guy at a pay phone. So why don't you, register. Just to humor us. Spıke ¬ 02:29 10-Dec-12
Indeed I had...I am not a 24/7 Frosty. Wikipedia is a parody of Uncyclopedia but you need a separate registration/login. You may get lucky and discover you can use the same name for both websites but there is a danger you'll forget where you are and will start inserting jokes in the wrong places. Though the dry-as-dust Wikipedia could do with some humour/humor! --Laurels.gifRomArtus*Imperator ITRA (Orate) ® 08:25, December 10, 2012 (UTC)

You will find that giving advice to a kid who is desperate for instant social wants acceptance before it is earned, gives the same feeling after a while. There's a chance that Eric will spend December distinguishing himself with his writing--which would have to become less about himself, his classmates, his fantasies--rather than pleading for awards. Impresario of the Month or Beggar of the Month, perhaps (I believe our term is "NotM" or "Gobshite") but he is not yet an award-winning writer here. Spıke ¬ 13:24 11-Dec-12

Is it possible, just possible I can have a motivation? I am not looking to "instantly" grab social acceptance, rather find a path I should take. Okay, I guess I came a little strong when I said "Do you think if I keep up with the good work I could end up being a Writer of the Month", but rather I should have said it would compare with Writer of the Month material. Also, give me a break. I mean, I'm pretty glad with the work I'm doing and I hope it keeps up. Rather calling me desperate, maybe a gentle "he rushes things"? I do have extreme ADHD and OCD. So if I'm writing content that resembles each other for more than one or two weeks, it might be a hook.--SirPeasewhizzdeNewYork Click here to talk 20:26, December 11, 2012 (UTC)

I only got 'protection' when a certain user targetted me for revealing his sock puppetry before I became an admin. So actually, it is not a 'default' to have your user page protected. Don't know why.

Last evening, Eric created a mainspace template to several pages that he has had a hand (finger) in. I don't see it on this one, but there are many cases where a paragraph is rendered incorrectly, notably if someone embeds a [[File:...]] inside a paragraph without a hard return afterward. It produces a web page where that paragraph is not <P>bounded</P> like this, and under my style rules, shows up in a different text size. Bizzeebeever seemed to know why this happens, but didn't have an effective workaround in all cases. Spıke ¬ 10:07 14-Dec-12
