Please take another look at butter[edit source]

I have added some since you cast your ballot. I will try to add even more before I go to work today, but I think it's starting to shape up nicely. Feel free to make any changes you feel necessary as well. If you still believe it to be un-feature worthy, I will not take it personally. =) ~Formerly Annoying Crap 19:20, 19 December 2009

Hi Zana. I re-read it , made a few minor changes and decided to back the article. I am glad you don't take stuff here personally - though plenty of other writers do get very upset with changes/criticism etc ! And you can reverse any of the changes I made as well !! --Laurels.gifRomArtus*Imperator ® (Orate) 22:12, December 19, 2009 (UTC)

Drama[edit source]

Hi, I have just wrote an article that parodies the social phenomenon on Uncyclopedia known as Drama. Seeing as its become a bit of a problem in the past few months (years?) I thought it would be quite cool to make a section at the bottom of the article about other users' opinions of Drama. So I thought I'd invite you to write one, preferably humourous. It's no big deal if you don't want to, but if you are interested, you can come up with a quote and either leave it here on your talk page and I'll add it later, or you can go straight to the article itself and add it there. Any suggestions on improvement are also welcome. Thnx. --Matfen 00:28, December 21, 2009 (UTC)

Article link here.

Thanks for the link. I will read it a few times before adding a quote. It does need to be formatted a bit better - i.e. move the pictures around instead of them being all down the right hand side and some of the paragraphs headlined look like they need a bit more work. Otherwise , it seems ok. If the admins like + general community here , it could be one of those pages that can used as a link when arguments on various pages start to get a bit heated. --Laurels.gifRomArtus*Imperator ® (Orate) 07:00, December 21, 2009 (UTC)

Kuja on VFD[edit source]

I said delete the last "two sections"; you agreed with me and said, yes, delete the last "two paragraphs" (which would be one section, Section 9). Did you mean that? Spıke ¬  17:43 22-Dec-09 PS--Regarding "going into the Delete camp," you might already be! your vote is in the Keep section, but the template is Delete! Spıke ¬  20:43 22-Dec-09

I meant sections. Sorry, my error. --Laurels.gifRomArtus*Imperator ® (Orate) 07:16, December 23, 2009 (UTC)

Also, Peter Pan[edit source]

It's now in mainspace. Do you still think there's too much Cliff Richard? Make suggestions and I will do the work (if I agree!). Spıke ¬  01:27 23-Dec-09

I think there is too much of old Cliffy in this still. It is a bit of marriage this article. The front half is a parody of Peter Pan and then second half switches to a Cliff Richard parody. I think to be honest the article has to make its mind up and that the Cliff stuff could be deleted or moved into a separate story about the Peter Pan of Pop. --Laurels.gifRomArtus*Imperator ® (Orate) 07:14, December 23, 2009 (UTC)

I'll work on mincing words in Sections 3 and 4. Section 5 (Knighthood) may carry the link too far, but otherwise, mistaking Pan for Richard has been a fertile field of jokes. Spıke ¬  17:39 23-Dec-09

Ok, I'll have another look once you have done the necessary surgery. --Laurels.gifRomArtus*Imperator ® (Orate) 17:44, December 23, 2009 (UTC)

I'm done, though it's hardly surgery. Let me know what's next. Spıke ¬  18:02 23-Dec-09

Made a couple of changes and added some song jokes. It's now Ok but not feature worthy yet (if at all). --Laurels.gifRomArtus*Imperator ® (Orate) 18:20, December 23, 2009 (UTC)

Okay. Needs clean-up (you forgot a couple he (or she)s, and I can't stand those unanchored punctuation marks). I'll move both "Best-known hits" sections so that everything related to Cliff Richard is inside Section 3. Spıke ¬  20:17 23-Dec-09

Ack...thanks for reminding about the punctuation marks. Oops !--Laurels.gifRomArtus*Imperator ® (Orate) 22:33, December 23, 2009 (UTC)

Mrs. Dalloway[edit source]

I don't mind those changes you made at all. They benefit the article. And thanks for the encouragement. --Jobeykobra

You're welcome. Stick around and have a look. This is a pretty broad range wiki site for humour. You should receive an official welcome from someone but it being Christmas , perhaps not ! --Laurels.gifRomArtus*Imperator ® (Orate) 19:34, December 24, 2009 (UTC)

1980's[edit source]

I was having a tough time with that decade. All I could think about was Sigourney Weaver in the Alien trilogy and "Sarah Conner" - both skinny "runners" in cotton. I was having a tough time thinking of anyone who really belonged on the short list from that decade and I just kind of turned it into a cheap joke and more Aaron Spelling defamation. It definitely wouldn't take much to throw in a couple sentences and a girly picture or movie poster link + altering what's there. Any suggestions would be appreciated because I keep drawing a blank. It's almost as if the fact that I need to dig for it to remember makes it unmemorable and unworthy but I don't mind being proven wrong for the sake of an extra pair of worthy tits.--DRStrangesig5.png Sherman.png Fingertalk.png  18:28, December 29, 2009 (UTC)

Tough one. I have been trying to think if I could remember any 'leather pants' star of the time. I can only recall pop stars wearing them at that stage but I guess they don't count in this article. I am sure inspiration will come from somewhere !--Laurels.gifRomArtus*Imperator ® (Orate) 00:00, December 30, 2009 (UTC)
I have uploaded Gracejones1.jpg for you. From the film Conan the Destroyer where she kicked ass in a movie. She also kicked as on tv chat shows - by attacking Russell Harty in the UK (see the wikipedia entry. I would have added it to your article but I got lost in all your notes on the page ! --Laurels.gifRomArtus*Imperator ® (Orate) 00:16, December 30, 2009 (UTC)
Ah yes, the sea of references. It gets tough to edit after awhile. I did think about her briefly and couldn't remember her name - then lost it. I believe she did Bond too. We'll fit her in.--DRStrangesig5.png Sherman.png Fingertalk.png  00:22, December 30, 2009 (UTC)
I'm thinking something along the lines of B&W-ing that photo and placing it on the right side - bumping Trinity down the row further where she belongs. As far as the text, I'm thinking something along the lines of her being incredibly frightening. Ooooh, look at this for an external reference link--DRStrangesig5.png Sherman.png Fingertalk.png  00:42, December 30, 2009 (UTC)

Messyhouse7.jpg Thank You For Finally Taking Out The Trash
Unfortunately, the situation in the kitchen has not changed. I made it a point to not create a single dirty dish in this sink for the very purpose of demonstrating to you that the mess in the kitchen is not somehow our problem but is, in fact, your problem. Technically, that makes it my problem as well but said problem is one of inconvenience as opposed to the complete negligence inherent in your failure to clean up after yourself. It's also come to my attention that you and your friends have been urinating in the kitchen sink, despite the fact that it's full of dirty dishes. while your reluctance to touch the dishes is understandable it does not form a basis for me to empathize with you. While I shouldn't be bargaining with you again, I'll agree to clear a path to the bathroom sink so that everyone will have a place to urinate. All you need to do is simply dispose of the dirty dishes. We'll buy more at the flea market.

All this and another template too.--DRStrangesig5.png Sherman.png Fingertalk.png  12:46, January 6, 2010 (UTC)

Hello, again[edit source]

Ah, I remember you were rewriting a lot of the classical articles on here. Well actually I just looked at my talk page, anyway how are you? --Nikau 13:06, January 1, 2010 (UTC)

Hi Nikau. Thanks for the message and Happy New Year. I have been busy on the rewriting front , submitting new articles like Herod the Great and working on Herod Antipas as a follow up. I also worked with Zana Dark as a contributor for her excellent (and funny) Frida Kahlo article. In fact that is one thing I do like here , adding to other writers' work - but only of course , they agree to your submissions ! --Laurels.gifRomArtus*Imperator ® (Orate) 15:25, January 1, 2010 (UTC)

"The work of a junior contributor" implies potential for advancement, which implies awareness of one's limitations. In the case of Toasty Da Mosty, your optimism is unwarranted. Separately, please look at User:SPIKE/Angry Asian kid, which solves the problems your vote cites. Spıke ¬  12:27 2-Jan-10

I use that line if I don't know the age of the contributor but I think the writing looks childish. So I was being generous.

Costa Rica[edit source]

Also I added the lines about Costa Rica as I know that place a bit too well. My ex-wife came from there and I stayed in that country for a couple of weeks. Still like the place though. --Laurels.gifRomArtus*Imperator ® (Orate) 12:30, January 2, 2010 (UTC)

Yup; saw that and gave it a light post-edit. I was there for a week and was impressed with the well-maintained cottages on the road to Irazú (gringo retirees, certainly) and the low prices everywhere. But a 2009 enactment says that pensionados must join the local health-care system (for access to public hospitals that they can't want); don't know if this means that investment income and pension disbursements are subject to the local double-digit tax. That would change everything. Spıke ¬  12:48 2-Jan-10

Next Year's Australian Grand Prix[edit source]

I kind of know what you mean. It got a distinctly lukewarm review and I know it's way too long. I can't think of any useful way to cut it much and I'm not sure of a better ending than Dick Dastardly failing to win a race that no one else is left in.

Thanks for the WOTY vote. Blwyddyn Newydd Dda --Sog1970 19:04, January 2, 2010 (UTC)

The idea remains good - and I do have fond memories of the original tv series. I did really laugh out loud with the Rufus Buzzcut picture caption. Brilliant. So in my view, this could be reworked. Perhaps the best thing is to split it up into two stories. One that has the new grid for 2010 - i.e. the Wacky cars and a second one about the races during that season. Let me know what you think as there is a funny story in there. All the car race jokes could then be put in the second section with a link. --Laurels.gifRomArtus*Imperator ® (Orate) 19:10, January 2, 2010 (UTC)

I may need to leave it a couple more weeks to stop it being stale. In the mean time Dr Spock's “The Common Sense Book of Baby and Child Care” is hot off the press if you're really bored. Also Hanna Barbera's "Gangs of New York" if cartoons are your thing. --Sog1970 20:19, January 2, 2010 (UTC)

Thanks Sog. I have gone through the Spock story - I think it is a feature worthy. I did take the liberty of adding a final paragraph as I thought the story needed a tie up. Feel free to edit/delete as necessary. BTW the silicon monster appeared in an old show of Star trek. It looked like a mobile rug but can't remember what it was called.--Laurels.gifRomArtus*Imperator ® (Orate) 13:06, January 3, 2010 (UTC)

Two articles if you have several minutes[edit source]

Hi, a beleated thanks for helping push me onto the shoulders of Rcmurphy and over the bar for notm.

Have enjoyed your critiques. If you can spare a dollar, and a few minutes of time, could you take a look at two articles I've had great fun with, "Anne Hathaway" and "Star of David"? I found Star as a stub with a weird idea, and expanded it. Have asked Mordillo to check it out, taking into account the Clemens77 incident, to get his feedback. And any suggestions or additions appreciated. Read somewhere on my browsings that a controversial graphic of a revolving Star of David was on the site at one time, any idea of where that is or went to? Thanks again, Aleister in Chains Days of Decision, MMX

Ok ,I'll have a look. ----Laurels.gifRomArtus*Imperator ® (Orate) 06:53, January 4, 2010 (UTC)
Thanks, I'll work with some of your suggestions. Will have to put some articles up for the pee review, I haven't done that yet, and came to you because you're probably one if not the toughest critic, at least on the vfh page. Thanks again. You're the second person to change what I guess is a subtle joke, the "greatest actress of hir generation" in the lead of Hathaway (in the article Streep is a transvestite). And Mordillo was ok with Star of David, and explained the objection to Clemens was the use of a dead-pile photo. Danks again, Aleister in Chains Uncy birthday eve, MMX
I once tried a pee review ages ago and got stamped on ! It makes the VFH page seem mild in comparison! Puppy on the Radio and Chief Justice are pretty thorough in their constructive criticisms so what I was saying on your page was an example of what I thought they may pick up on. Also - the bi-polar angle is a good approach to Anne Hathaway but I just didn't like the rape story at all. What you could do was that Anne Hathaway came to Hollywood to shoot adult themed films but got seduced into sugary movies instead. If you think that is an idea, I will try and work up a paragraph to add to the story. --Laurels.gifRomArtus*Imperator ® (Orate) 17:05, January 4, 2010 (UTC)
I'll remove the rape, but would like to leave her laying there for Jack Nicholsen to find and take to the Princess film set, I enjoy that she "comes to" in the middle of filming (remember when the Queen's aide was dancing her around the room while she was being trained to be a Princess) and then goes with it because of her Method Acting training. The bi-polar wasn't meant for her, but about her career, and I'll put a fix on that so its clearer. I'd rather not make her ill, much of the joke I was playing with was that she's a master of method acting, and that's what gets her both into trouble and into acclaimed perfomances. So, rape out, the gang bang too (or is that what you meant? Either way, gone), but I like the cutsey trusting actress that comes to hollywood and actually stays the same but the roles change. You've helped alot on this, and its enjoyable talking about concept. I'll work on it later tonight, probably with Obermann and Maddow on in the background, and drop a note when somethng has occurred. And please, if you'd like, maybe you can do a section on a movie of hers, or make up a movie, just go with the Method Acting theme and it's actually pretty fun (the Karen Carpenter bit had me laughing as I wrote it). Drinks on me, Aleister in Chains MMX
OK . Yeah drop the rape and gang bang. Regards pictures, I would suggest you have an Anne Hathaway photo in there. I have access to quite a lot but first edit/change the article and then I'll have another look tomorrow. Good luck with the writing. --Laurels.gifRomArtus*Imperator ® (Orate) 17:29, January 4, 2010 (UTC)
Did a good amount of work on it, and thanks, I was too focused on some of the later sections and didn't realize how disjointed much of the first third of the article was. A photo would be good, I just didn't find any on file. The opening photo would be a perfect place for a good one, I have no idea who the woman is and just used it because the surroundings looked like something resembling the Academy Awards show. Another item, and good god, have you looked at the Native Americans article? What a fuck up, stupidity throughout. I totally reworked the lead and front caption just to get rid of a massive white space at the front of the article. Thanks again for Anne's resurrection. Aleister in Chains MMX
Very nice work, now lots of good, cute, and exotic photos of Anne, her friends, and good captions on the page. I and the uncy universe thank you! Looked at Native Americans again, a wikipedia spork with some very good stuff and some very stupid material mixed together, a wiki-smart-stupid hybrid. I'll edit sweep it soon. Anne, we hardly knew ye. Aleister in Chains Uncy 5th Anniversary, MMX
p.s. just noticed how the two photos, the skinny woman and the woman screaming into her oven, actually look like Hathaway might look in those roles (mostly the skinny one). I'll expand a couple of sections so the print-to-photo ratio is equaled up a bit more. Native Americans is addicting to work on, will drag myself away from all of this now. Danks again. Aleister in Chains 5th MMX

Submitted Anne to pee review, just to see what someone will say and then I'll self nom for vfo because it's just about in shape. You really helped, and your comments made me focus on areas where I should have focused--and the photos, very good (one tiny thing on the photos, Anne showing off her boulders seems dark, not in the dark sense, but not lighted well, was that the photo or the way it translated to the page?). The injuns isn't mine,k I was just playing with it and will continue, and your criticisms welcome. On the vfh nom for Mondo Encyclopedis, Doc explains all about it, and why it isn't an inside-joke. If that was your only objection, you could swing two votes by switching, and put it in the running. Injuns, Aleister in Chains Russian Christmas, MMX

Anne was pee-reviewed by an excellent first-time reviewer, and some good changes came from that. So my first pee review experience was a good one, and with you and her adding in, the article seems to be shaping up nicely. Discussion on her and my talk page if you'd liike to look in. Danks again. Aleisnter in Chains In the now, MMX
Lots of changes now (a freshly written Eva Braun section, Mike Tyson section and Michael J.Fox pic gone, other pics moved). The skinny girl, I stil think should be left as is. The model knew a photo was being taken, her face looks very similiar to what a method-acting Anne Hathaway would look like, and even if the model sees it she may even like the treatment and the underlying message to these anorexic women to "just stop it the fuck already and eat". I thing it's about ready for fini, concur? Thanks again for the help and comments, and I owe you, like a debt owed to the Godfather. Aleister in Chains Another Day, another dollar, MMX

Ladies & Gentlemen, Welcome To Violence

...the word and the act. While violence cloaks itself in a plethora of disguises, its favorite mantle still remains... sex. Violence devours all it touches, its voracious appetite rarely fulfilled. Yet violence doesn't only destroy, it creates and molds as well. Let's examine closely then this dangerously evil creation, this new breed encased and contained within the supple skin of woman. The softness is there, the unmistakable smell of female, the surface shiny and silken, the body yielding yet wanton. But a word of caution: handle with care and don't drop your guard. This rapacious new breed prowls both alone and in packs, operating at any level, any time, anywhere, and with anybody. Who are they? One might be your secretary, your doctor's receptionist... or a dancer in a go-go club!....................................................

Say Romartus[edit source]

You voted against Mondo Uncyclopedia because you felt it is an in-joke. While I am loathe to try to persuade users to change their votes ever, I really do think you should reconsider. There's a difference between self referential and an in-joke. Ask yourself: "Would I find this funny even if I wasn't an Uncyclopedian?" If the answer is yes, then it isn't an in-joke. If you really feel that you need to be intimately familiar with Uncyclopedia to enjoy it, then by all means leave your vote as against. Thanks mate. -OptyC Sucks! Icons-flag-us.png CUN21:31, 6 Jan

I did say it was good and anywhere else I would be a lot more positive. It's true, it isn't an inside joke as such or like putting up a user page either for featuring on the front page. I read Doctor Strange's defence of his article as well and he argued his point very convincingly. Still, the best I will consider is to abstain as I personally don't like the idea of the site's users just talking to each other or being too self referential. So let me mull on this one and reconsider. --Laurels.gifRomArtus*Imperator ® (Orate) 22:48, January 6, 2010 (UTC)

Hey man. Basically, if there's no problem with this, which is "stolen" artwork, then........Enhanced Interrogation Techniques isn't much different. An image is an image, whether it's based on coded text or an actual image file, it's all the same thing. It didn't come cheap either, that was a lot of work to piece together the panels and edit out all existing text. Not to mention the handicap of having to work with the limited space in those "balloons" offered by a comic. --DRStrangesig5.png Sherman.png Fingertalk.png  12:30, January 9, 2010 (UTC)

Thanks for the message Doctor Strange. I have changed my vote for. Regards the history, I think originally I hadn't realised it was your work (perhaps I clicked the wrong history) otherwise I would have contacted you direct. But I am glad I have been corrected and apologies for any suggestion that I thought it had come from elsewhere. --Laurels.gifRomArtus*Imperator ® (Orate) 15:52, January 10, 2010 (UTC)

The main reason I voted against wasn't because I didn't like it but that you did say it needed some grammatical checks which to me meant it wasn't quite ready for nomination. Also some of the ideas in there could have in my opinion discarded as not really adding to the story. But did you think User:SPIKE/Survival of the Sickest was any good, perhaps worth insinuating in an existing article on evolution or Charles Darwin? The Count seemed to think it was merely a Bible tract.

And did you read my complaint, that your Hmor footnote is too unsubtle, in Talk:Hmor? Spıke ¬  12:46 15-Jan-10

See HMOR for agreeing with you that my footnote could go. As regards Survival of the Sickest, this is at least a lot better than the rather vaguely racist one that existed with black and white dogs. I will have another look and let you know. --Laurels.gifRomArtus*Imperator ® (Orate) 13:38, January 15, 2010 (UTC)

This is done. Meanwhile, Roman Dog Bird closed the VFD debate on Survival of the Sickest, noting that I had, after all, written a replacement. That rarely closes debate, especially when even you don't buy in! I've moved it into mainspace, but taken the unused name Survival of the Fittest, cited but not as a link from a lot of articles.
