The move from Wikia has been over for about the last week actually, of course their are still a few bumps in the road that need cleaning up so far as running the site goes (if you run into any problems use the forum link in the site notice to report them) but yes we are almost completely independent now. ~Sir Frosty (Talk to me!) 09:50, 13 January 2013 (UTC)

When adding inessential spaces and line breaks to templates (as you might do when categorizing them, for instance)

Please make sure they are inside the noinclude tags. If they're outside of the noinclude tags, they will be transcluded along with the rest of the template, which can minorly to majorly screw stuff up, depending on the template. Template categorisation

Basically what socky just said; I'm just going to repeat it because he edit conflicted me right when I finished and now I'm going to have to murder him.

When categorising templates, could you please try to put the <noinclude> right up against the content without a linebreak, and have the linebreaks inside it? Otherwise the linebreaks wind up transcluded by the template and that tends to break things.

Basically do this:

{{Message_box|message=This is template content|image=Whatever.png}}<noinclude>

[[Category:Advisory templates]]
</noinclude>

Instead of this:

{{Message_box|message=This is template content|image=Whatever.png}}

<noinclude>
[[Category:Advisory templates]]
</noinclude>

Controversial thing

Hea Max. I noticed that you just put semi-protection on a page. I was wondering if I could ask you to consider using semi-protection a bit less on pages. As I'm sure you know we have more admins than we know what to do with these days, and also patrolled edits means that vandalism is very hard to miss. Because of this, I think that we might get a few more IP edits and maybe even some more users if we allowed more pages to be edited by everyone. We can always semi them later if they do become a target of attack, but... For now, I think we can get away with a lot less semi-protection on non FA pages. What do you think? MrN 21:40. Apr 4. 2013

Sure, that's fine. I've only semi-protected pages when there's been long term vandalism or when I've had to spend a long time going through the history to restore deleted text. Gerard Butler, for example, had remained vandalized since April 2012. MadMax (talk) 21:48, 4 April 2013 (UTC)

New User trying to find a good comedy wiki

Im trying to find one without as quoted in an actual topic (from myself) "revert maddness" that is. sensless reversions that effectively aim to make the wiki into a sensless ripoff of near pointless publication like the onion. which seems to rely on photoshoping buffont hairstyles on everyone. i mean, they just ofically ended world war two yeasterday (frrrllzzthuh). this censorship of happiness isnt working. im not even obliged to actually get an account on any one of these wikis if i cant be sure some tard isnt gonna revert cause it screws up his or his masterbation fantasy subtext syntax. or some other equaly brain dead excuse that wouldnt hold up outside of the feng shuei they got in that personal hell they seem to have going for themselves over there, wherever they are.

i dont know, im just tryiing to have fun withough a bully coming over an pushing me down on this playground we call: wait, this typeface isnt helvetica.

Another VFH idea

So, we all know that VFH is not as great as it once was or could be. I'm not suggesting anything radical, but only a minor change which is we lower the goal on VFH from 15 to 10. I don't want to seem like I want to install every idea from the other site, but considering that on a good day we only get up to about halfway, it makes sense to lower the goal bar. Everytime I look at the red space I just feel depressed, and lowering the goal bar has worked for the other site, beacause they have theirs on 4 or 5, yet over here it would work even better beacause we rarely drop behind 6.
