- Comment Some of the genius of this page, and it works on many levels, is that the glass did break but he imagines that it didn't, that everything is right with the world. He puts aside the horror and goes on with his life. His mother is a bagel, so he had imagined her too, taking care of him. But at some point he imagines she dies, and burys the bagel in his backyard (both sweeping metaphors, immense metaphors). The UN (or the powers that be) don't wish to get involved. It goes on and on in metaphorical description of real events as well as a single mind's and society's mind's ability to overlook, condone, and ignore. Aleister 12:12 21 9
