Greetings.[edit source]

It has come to my attention that you have recently voted for one or more of my articles on VFH. I don't recall what they were, and I don't know if the records are entirely accurate, so if you have received this message in error, you have my sincerest apologies.

Otherwise, thank you for your support in my quest to pretend that I am capable of writing. It is most appreciated.

Seeing as no one will respond to me[edit source]

I've decided to take this into my own hands, I'm going to move Dinosaur into mainspace at ten fourty-five EST tomorrow. Anyone who wants to make their final edits can do so within that time frame. Thanks. --Wanna see a magic trick? 14:52, March 21, 2011 (UTC)

I have important things to say, mothafucka... whoops[edit source]

So, about the weekly competition... So, I just write so many articles as I can, right? Well, I think I got that one already, but is there any chance of that someone puts the construction-tag? I mean, if I write articles, I don`t want them to be annihilated. Just asked, Cat the Colourful (Feed me!) Zzz Zzz...morning? 11:53, 20 April, 2011 (UTC)

You can call me "muthafucka". I don't mind. And if there is a chance, I would be getting Zombiebaron to inspect. GiratinaOriginForme.png |Si Plebius Dato' Joe ang Kyurem CUN|IC Kill Don't be fooled. I'm an Aussie too. | 12:38, April 20, 2011 (UTC)
Yes, I got it already. Third time. So do we do the pages into userspace? Cat the Colourful (Feed me!) Zzz Zzz...morning? 04:37, 26 April, 2011 (UTC)

Hey duuuuuuuuuder...weve never chatted before. Im shabidoo. Just suggesting that you use Quemador instead of Fuminador (although fuminador sounds helarious). Friendly advice :) xx --ShabiDOO14:42, May 1, 2011 (UTC)

So... umm...[edit source]

The weekly competition had started now? Or am I wrong? If it`s canceled again, whatever. I started it already. Cat the Colourful (Feed me!) Zzz Zzz...morning? 15:49, 3 May, 2011 (UTC)

So... umm... (pt.2)[edit source]

I`m a bit sorry and I really apologise from you. For what, you ask, I answer, because I haven`t got so much time to write into the Weekly competition. I just... am too slow. Sorry. Cat the Colourful (Feed me!) Zzz Zzz...morning? 09:46, 6 May, 2011 (UTC)

Organising tournament[edit source]

Joe...a few things to think about when organizing a tournament.

Is it a one category tournament or more? Is is going to last one day, one week, or more than one phase? Whats the theme? Are you really clear and concrete about it? Would people really want to do your tournament? Why? How is it judges? How many judges and how will they collectively decide the winner? When is it? Keep in mind there are atleast three other tournaments being thought about, two of which last two weeks each and one which lasts 24 hours.

(I suggest that you keep it as simple as possible ex. one category, one stage, simple concept)

Start a forum. Say what the tournament is...in a really short and clear way. Design a logo or ask magicman really nicely if he would do it for you. Put a place for people to sign up and for judges.

Anyways...thats one way to do it. If you have any more questions...let me know. --ShabiDOO 10:19, July 5, 2011 (UTC)

Joe. I took a look at your forum. Sounds pretty cool. I see youve put a lot of thought into it. Can I suggest a couple things: First...I think it very unlikely that you will find that many contestants. Even finding 10 will be difficult, unless you hype it up A LOT! And a five round competition is also really ambitious...as there is yet to be a multi-round competition this year, where the contestants actually turned out articles during all the rounds. You may find that getting 5 judges will also be pretty tricky (3 seems to work). My suggestion (pretty serious): Keep it to a max to three rounds, which even then you may find fleetig, better two rounds. The whole idea seems cool...one thing to think about...there has never been a team tournament (teams of two). Why not consider keeping it simple...like having two teams of four (1 round) or 4 teams of two (two rounds). Especially if its your first tournament, and since there hasnt really been any tournaments that have been pulled off so well in the last while. that being said, I think your energy and enthusiasm is cool, and the logo is cool and the name is super extra cool. Think about it. --ShabiDOO 09:05, July 6, 2011 (UTC)
Joe...how are you? I like the enthusiasm you have. Could I make a couple more suggestions? You may consider letting as many teams as people like sign up (a team being atleast two people). You may have more success getting entrants. Three rounds sounds great! Good luck and let me know if you need anything. Ill definately help you out with the promotion or anything else you need. --ShabiDOO20:13, July 7, 2011 (UTC)
Joe...I decided to wait until September for Happy Monkey. If you want...Ill co host the tournament idea with you. Ive hosted a tournament online here before, and I have a lot of experience doing stuff like this in real life. If you like...we can talk about this stuff...on a userspace and try to get a nice tournament out of this. I like your idea/energy/spirit here. It can work. What do you think? --ShabiDOO 00:29, July 10, 2011 (UTC)
Great...we can talk here --ShabiDOO 16:41, July 10, 2011 (UTC)

Guidelines for Contest[edit source]

Judging will be held every two weeks, for weeks 1-2, and 3-4. The max score possible for a team to get is 40.83, and the lowest being 2.45. The first two weeks, all teams write 2 articles, and at the end of the weeks, whoever we (TKF, Iwillkillyou333, and Aimsplode L A B O R A T O R I E S) vote to be the two top teams will advance to the finals, which will be held during weeks 3-4. The winner of that is The Champion, and will probably get a nice badge or something. Because we all have to add up our votes, I will pass around a little rubric for that when I figure out what the max and min scores are. Look forward to Judging, Aimsplode L A B O R A T O R I E S 23:41, July 13, 2011 (UTC)

NOTE!!!! I got it: Max score for teams is 122.49, and min score is 7.35. (That means scores will be presented like this: ?/122.49) Aimsplode L A B O R A T O R I E S 23:41, July 13, 2011 (UTC) The above message is really actually only (lol) for clarification, as those were both sent to the other judges (Iwillkillyou333, and TKF).

Joe...what do you think about this judging criteria? --ShabiDOO 23:56, July 13, 2011 (UTC)

Tourament[edit source]

Hey Joeeeeeeeeeee! I was just about to write you a message. A couple questions: 1. What do you think about the whole maximum score thing...do you think thats stupid or funny or both? 2. As for the titles of the 2 articles each round...I suggest that the team can discuss possible titles, even agree on possible titles, but aren't allowed to talk in any way about content or HOW they will write the article...until the tournament begins (via talk pages or chat). 3. I added room for more teams, do you have any problem with that? 4. I guess if there are 4 or 5 teams, then the top two teams progress, and if there are 6 or more teams, then the top 3 should progress. What do you think? 5. As for judging. The judges each give a score for each article and the teams score is based on those numbers added together (that would be 6. scores per team [3 judges x 2 articles]). Is that okay with you? 7. Do you like french toast? 8. Round 1 is from 1-15 of August? 9. Maybe...to make the second round more intense...we can reduce it to one week (which would also give other people with tournament ideas a chance to also start in August? What do you think? 10. We should ask Magicman to make the awards. He is very good at them. 11. I found 10 Russian Roubles in a cafe today. Do you want them? --ShabiDOO 06:44, July 16, 2011 (UTC)

Joe...[edit source]

You're killin' me man. The stuff I sent out to the judges was (which is actually posted to your page too, up a little ways) max score= 40.83 NOT 42.83 Symbol wtf vote.svg WTF? and min score= 2.45, which is still the same. There were supposed to be 4 teams (but I'm ok with 6, but plz change the Admessage to 6-team not 7-team). Also... Your idea on telling us what the teams will be doing is good, but writing two decent articles in under a week may be hard for those teams who still have only one or two people. Please respond here with your thoughts. Thanks, Aimsplode L A B O R A T O R I E S 22:11, July 17, 2011 (UTC)

Aimsplode. You are one of our respected judges. And any help in terms of recruiting and other stuff is appreciated. If you have some suggestions...put it on the suggestion page I told you about. Your opinion about the amount of teams is nice to hear and if you have more suggestions...please put it on the suggestion page. The amount of teams and any other cirteria about the tourament is upto Joe and I based on the feedback from others and what we agree on. THE MORE TEAMS THE BETTER! Two articles is fine...its a competition...a team can pull off two areticle. Please put your ideas on that page, and not on the forum page or other peoples talk pages. --ShabiDOO 22:16, July 17, 2011 (UTC)

....Anyway, Joe, thanks for replying. If you are absolutely sure there will be only six teams, then the admin message (top of your page) needs to be changed from 7 to 6. I have done the math: The maximum score is now 128.49 (42.83 X 3), and the minimum score is still 7.35 (2.45 X 3). I am perfectly fine with the two articles a week idea if you are too. Again, please reply here, and remember, change that admin message!! (Plus, how do you like my new sig?) Aimsplode (Der_Führerbunker--Wehrmacht Factories) Happy Holidays! 15:26, July 18, 2011 (UTC)

Hey Joe...I dont know why you left the message on Aimslodes talkpage...he is a judge, not an organizer. If you want him to be an organizer instead of a Judge, let me know and Ill gladly become a judge instead and the two of you can deal with the rest of the tournament. Just clear that up okay? --ShabiDOO 15:51, July 18, 2011 (UTC)
This guy just keeps coming back!! -gets out strike-through template-.. Now listen up, Shabi. I'm helping your cause, so you should be happy. Dude...two organizers are more than enough. So...honestly, go ahead and choose...do you want to switch with me? I wouldn't mind at all...but for the love of god you are driving me totally crazy being both. Seriously. for the love of god could you please choose? Judge or organizer...and Ill happily go along with whatever you chose. One last thing, you dont go around striking out entire texts of people on their talk pages. Its not funny. --ShabiDOO 18:15, July 18, 2011 (UTC)

You're only making me want to strike you out even more. This is Joe's page, not yours, so shut up. Let Joe decide. If he will let me be both an organizer and a judge, deal with it. Tournament[edit source]

Hi Joe, congrats on the Tournament popularity! Speaking of which, I was wondering if we could make teams of 4 persons. Say the teams could be 3 or 4, as opposed to the original 2 or 3. The challenge would even be greater, and it would suit us and Black Flamingo (and certainly others) who could not join in time. And it would produce the same amount of articles, therefore not overloading the judges. Waddya think? Thanks! Talk Mattsnow 23:49, July 19, 2011 (UTC)

Yes Joe...I suggest allowing Four people per team instead of 7 teams, as the judges will have less articles to judge and the teams will have more people to finish the two articles! --ShabiDOO 10:38, July 20, 2011 (UTC)

JESUS JOE!!!!![edit source]

I'm a co-host, too! Consult with me before you do things, please...remember, do that here. I was about to revert all the edits on the USE forum before I read this...jesus.. For the good tilt Mattsnow threw on it, technically it would be the same for the judges, because this is how I've outlined the scoring to work:

Each team only gets two scores, not one score for each of the contestants. The maximum score a single article can get is 128.49. The maximum score for the entire team (128.49 + 128.49=) is 256.98. The lowest possible score for an.... article is 2.45 ...team is (7.35 + 7.35=) 14.7.

Because that is the way I'm telling the judges to score the articles, it turns out that makes it is still the same just more complicated, but whatever. I'll add the "4. Optional" thing on all of the teams... Aimsplode (Der_Führerbunker--Wehrmacht Factories) Happy Holidays! 13:56, July 20, 2011 (UTC)

From my old talk page[edit source]

I didn't get round to notifying anyone as a special thing, but have made mention of the whole shebang in the latest USP. There are a couple of new recruits who have added themselves to the new recruits thing- you might want to add them to the big board and notify them especially.

Oh - the reason why Uncyclopedia:Imperial Colonization/project was created as the page to do the work was so that that would come up on people's watchlists whenever an edit was made. This would then act as a notifier to everyone and a regular reminder that something was happening. Hence I'd have that the page where any work on the rewrite of U2 would go.Pup 11:58 14 Dec '11

Judging[edit source]

Happymonkey2012.jpg

Time to get judging for the Happy Monkey Competition here, you have upto a week. Please give every article that was submitted a score out of 10 for whatever reason you so choose. If you like, you can leave a sentence or two on their pee review page (or more if you would like to) for each article, but its not mandatory. If you do, as I am saying to all the judges, please please please keep it positive (though by all means critique and point out what you don't like) and be extra encouraging to the nOObs. So then...thanks a million for agreeing to judge.--ShabiDOO 01:15, February 13, 2012 (UTC)

Thanks for the review. I'm happy with the result, tbh. I have never considered this to be a contender for FA myself, but when I stumbled on the original I actually lolled because it was so bad, and I thought if I liked it, then others would too. Your feedback makes me feel that it's okay (although needs images), even though it's not brilliant. Which is as far as this concept would probably ever go. So in short, good review, good feedback, much appreciated. (Although I was tempted to go through and proofread the review just for the giggles.) Pup 11:37 23 Feb '12

Pee Review[edit source]

Hi Joe, thanks for taking the time to contribute to the Pee Review, it is always appreciated. Just a quick message regarding your recent work, the reviews have tended to be a bit on the short side and it is unlikely that they will be judged in-depth when they come to be checked in. This is just a request to try for a bit more length in your reviews, especially if you are scoring them under 30. If an article is scoring low there must be reason why not, and it seems only considerate that you attempt to set out how the person could solve the problem rather than just pointing out that it is there.

You can also try to be less blunt, saying things like "This could be your first failure" is not particularly encouraging to writers and you're going to end up getting into arguments with people before too long. Try to keep your tone encouraging and friendly at all times, you are on their side, you aren't trying to make fun of the problems or discourage them from making the article better. Take a look at some of Black flamingo11's reviews, or some of Puppy's if you aren't sure how your reviews should look. --ChiefjusticeXBox 23:38, February 28, 2012 (UTC)

This whole comments and voting against you nonsense is borderline cyber-bullying and you totally do not in any way (nor any user) deserve it. Some people find your brash comments a little grating, though I don't. Some users might prefer that you achieve some more "tangible results" but then, what has Lyrithya actually done in the last few days except insult people and post her opinion on talk pages and forums? I can imagine its a pretty sick feeling seeing people on a website trash talk you on what's supposed to be a fun forum...and I hope you don't take any of this badly. It is totally and utterly a reflection on them and their insecurities and need to belittle people on a comedy website...and nothing more. You are a fun presence on the wiki, and as people have said, the tangible results from you are more frequent and more useful. And no...I don't want to suck your c**k, just wanted to counterbalance the revolting dickishness here. --ShabiDOO 22:47, March 4, 2012 (UTC)

Hi Joe[edit source]

I just read the above statement and thought you might like to know that you're a dick. And yes... I do want to suck your cock, but you need to shower first. Pup 10:54 04 Mar '12

Who died and made you God?[edit source]

That's my way of saying condolences congratulations condolences on being named HEAD of IC. By the way, POTR pee reviewed our Discordianism; I'll put a note on the IC page. (I say "our" even though I'm long dead; but if a pirate can't come back as a ghost, what can he come back as?) User:Why do I need to provide this?/sig10

Hey Joe[edit source]

That's a song, I think. Hi! I really hope that you're not letting any of the stuff on UotM get you down like a dog. I find it weird and lots of kicking Rule 2 in the gut. My nom was sincere and imnho you deserve it for sure, and lots of other users think so as well. It's not a writing award, it's an award for jobs well done, and I think you know very well that you have often done good jobs here, the initiation of the SOPA protest as one of the best things I've seen you do. Anyway, wanted to come by and give you a cookie, but I ate all of them traveling over here, so I can at least tell you they were tasty. Enjoy!Aleister 1:52 7-3-'12

WOW! A brand new UnNews competition and we need you! Either prepare yourself mentally for the severity of the trials (don't sign up just yet, you cheat!) or commit your soul as a judge right now. May the Lord shine his blessings upon thee! Talk Mattsnow 00:48, March 20, 2012 (UTC)
