"Kryptonite" is fictional material[1] by American musician "Weird Al" Yankovic. The song will appear on Yankovic's upcoming fictional album, Alected, and will be a parody of the song "Dynamite" by South Korean boy band BTS. "Kryptonite" will describe the relationship between Dave Grohl and Taylor Hawkins, members of American rock band Foo Fighters, in light of the sudden death of Hawkins in 2022.
"Kryptonite" will also serve as an explanation of the format of the album Alected, which will be Yankovic's first double album, with one disc (entitled "Side A") containing only parody songs, and the second ("Side L") containing only original songs.[2] This format was inspired by Foo Fighters' double album, In Your Honor, which was part acoustic, part anthemic. Since Kryptonite serves both as a way for Lex Luthor to kill Superman, and as a way for Batman to control Superman's ego, it will describe perfectly the nature of Hawkins and Grohl's friendship.
"Kryptonite" will appear on "Side A" of the album Alected, and is assumed to be extremely awesome. It will probably look something like this:
