There seems to be a bit of a misunderstanding about how administrators view themselves and their place on Uncyclopedia. I'm here to clear up a few of those based on how I think and what I've heard from other admins.
- Admins do not look down on users. Lately I've been seeing a lot of discussions around the assumption that the admins are on one team and the users are on the other. Not at all. If anything, our amazing superpowers put us below users. Whatever we do is based on what we perceive to be a) the general opinion of the community or b) for the best of the community, not c) whatever we want. And yes, we're human, and we make mistakes. Which brings me to point two.
- You don't need an army to stand up to an admin. That's Wikia you're thinking of (*rimshot*). If an admin screws something up, tell them. On their talkpage. You don't need to take every single thing to the dump because "the administrators are doing X". More than likely, not every single administrator is doing the same thing in the same manner for the same reason, even if it looks that way. Which brings me to point three.
- The administrators are not a cabal/hivemind. Contrary to popular belief, there is no Admin Club (but if there ever is I'm totally calling president). Administrators disagree with each other just like any other Uncyclopedians do. They hold different opinions and most of them administrate in their own personal style. Which is why "the administrators are doing X" doesn't apply. What you actually mean is certain administrators are doing X, and you really ought to take it up with them. Most people don't, however, because they're afraid of some sort of retaliation. Which brings me to point four.
- Administrators are held responsible to other administrators and the community at large. This is why, if you annoy an administrator, you're not going to get an infiniban, a mindset I don't totally understand. Even if an admin, full of drunken rage, were to block you for personal reasons, guess what? Another admin would unblock you, simple as that. And the blocking admin would be pretty damn embarrassed with themselves once they've sobered up. Once again, a single administrator's actions doesn't represent this largely mythical "admin community" and if they're being stupid they will be reverted by someone else. And finally, point five.
- Administrators are not at war with users. If anything, "the users" are at war with "the administrators". I've seen a lot of discussions recently in the vein of "the admins this" and "the admins that". Riddle me this: when a non-admin does something stupid, would I be right to go around saying "the users did this"? No. A single user did that. Personally, it's weird for me to even think in terms of this supposed class difference; when I think "user" I include myself in that category. Yes, some of us have a few extra buttons than others, but that's it. No one is trying to oppress anyone else, that's just silly. What would the point of that even be? Then nothing would happen on this wiki. Also, no one has ever been blocked for expressing an opinion. People have been blocked for expressing their opinion in an inflammatory manner, of course, because this tends to irritate other people and completely derail what could have otherwise been a useful discussion. It's not what you say, it's how you say it.

- Not sure if it was supposed to be a joke at the time, but the Beginner's Guide is so severely flawed it'd be hilarious if it wasn't one of our one or two "help" articles on the site we refer to almost constantly. --
